all right all right now hopefully hopefully Darian can just join in I don't I've never done it where somebody just joins in I used to do lives with um ample thought here on YouTube but we would connect first but I wanted to jump in a little early Daren say she be here in like five minutes um and look at that I also see Bandido and is already got some comments in here and the amazing thing is is that they got the little mod Ranch next to them so it worked I did it look ma mods so hopefully hopefully everything else works out smooth hopefully Dar could just join in and I could just connect her in we'll find out welcome to the live stream what is up sess also join the Discord soless is working hard on the Discord so join the Discord link down in the description a bunch of cool stuff there we're building it up GMA what's up um and before darene does join number one welcome hit subscribe hit the notification Bell I go live five days a week today's going to be a little different I hoping to speak with Daren who is in France got a lot of questions I want to keep it direct and I need to stay on topic but there are so many things just in the little conversation me and her have had that I'm fascinated by how things are run in France number one this this girl is fluent in many languages and I thought goddamn imagine if America invested in that um but before hopefully before Darian hooks in I got to keep an eye on to make sure everything's going smooth with her so forgive me if the pin cord finally Works soless got the uh Sol is got the an alert in the Discord so when I go live what's up Kathy how are you good to see you Kathy Kathy when I was making the mods I was thinking about making you a mod but I didn't know if you'd like that responsibility um good to see you Cassy good to see you C too what's going on so before darene joins I do want to talk a little news maybe we'll get her take on it but there's a ton of stuff that I'll get into with her uh now I don't know if you guys remember when I spoke about Jack White of the White Stripes threatening to sue Trump for Trump using I don't know if it was Facebook Instagram some social media the Trump campaign Margo Martin I believe is her name used uh The White Strip seven asan Army Song in a video oh here we go darian's here hold on I can add her in so it does work let's see if it worked hello yeah what's up is this thing working well can you hear me fine I can hear you perfectly you let me know if you have any can you hear me yeah yeah I hear you just fine Perfect all right so Darien before we jump good before we jump into things I was just talking about some news and I would love to get your take of course from another country but Jack Wyatt you know the white you know what the White Stripes yeah all right so I think it was a week ago two weeks ago he threatened to sue Trump because the Trump campaign used his song Seven Nation Army in what you could qualify as like a promotional video right is he allowed to do this no he's not so Trump trump is not allowed and today or yesterday Rolling Stone and I put the article down below uh Jack White has followed through and is suing the Trump the Trump campaign Margot Martin the person who uploaded the song and uh they're seeking a jury trial with damages because what they're saying Trump did is he essentially used that song to gather funding for his campaign essentially making money off a song that he does not own that they don't want where do you stand on that he did yeah I kind of agree with them I mean that's what he did you don't use anyone's content whether you're Trump or not I mean you don't use anybody's content to for your own Goods without paying the price for it so he should well and see well and this is the fascinating thing because even though there's a lawsuit the horrific side of this is Trump has a lawsuit from the Isaac Hayes estate I think Selen Deon Beyonce Abba sheno there's a bunch of art like think about any artist that is worth their salt in the music industry that is really enjoyed or liked theyve all told given him some kind of cease and desist told him to [ __ ] off with the music and he don't listen so to me it's really kind of shocking that these people can get away with it for so long and capitalize on it because if we played The White Stripes right now on YouTube my thing you know would be demonetized taken down copy you know all these repercussions but somehow when you're at the top of the food chain you can do this with no repercussions so it's good I'm not I'm not I'm not shocked that he doesn't have any repercussions I mean the man has been doing some even worse [ __ ] in his life like uh with you know I mean he's done so much worse than stealing copyrighted stuff and got away with it that I mean he's got the money as long as he's got the money he's going to do what he wants and it works for him so he's never goingon to stop well and it works here in America you know that's kind of the unfortunate thing I think it's like if you have the money to tie it up in court you can kind of get away with it as long as you can Outlast the other team lawyers and I think the reason why the reason why I really thought this was an important story I just want to bring it to people's attention because again public pressure or pressure from celebrities the people that have the money to kind of you know stand behind whatever word they if they want to say stop using my music I think this is the stuff that needs to continue to happen to kind of force at least some shame you know what I mean like that's got to look really bad that you can't use the seven because I mean let's face it if I did use a white stripe song I don't think Jack White personally would be like you and Daren are using my music I don't like what you stand for you know he would just not want us to make money on it Jack White in this article again down below he goes off saying like you're a scum bet you know like no no veteran should vote for you for how you've treated our veterans what you've said about them so he personally that's where I think like it's really powerful that Jack White speak speaking as a human saying I personally disagree with everything you stand for and I think more of this the lawsuit like you said the money will you know is going to win out but taking a stand as a human with a soap box that big might be able to kind of Shame these people or I don't know if it's G to shame them but it's at least GNA give them an example to go by I mean if I was a a musician let's say I'm a I'm I'm popular right now my music is popping everywhere and this guy Trump it's not any guy it's Trump that uses my stuff when I hav't I have nothing in common with that man I don't stand for what he stands for you don't even look at me you don't use my stuff you don't talk about me you don't breathe in my general direction just get out just no no I understand Jack White I would have been less polite about it but yeah I get it and I think it shows an example by by standing for himself as well because uh I mean so many creators have this problem you know of having their their within with the internet now it's easy it's easy that you can just steal anybody's content post it yourself and get all the benefits from it but when it comes from people that big I mean they they should be able to do something about it well sometimes I think they don't because they're they don't want to upset their fans if their fans are part of the Trump base if that makes sense you know like sometimes in that in that case you don't do anything anymore because if you you stand in politics you're never gonna get out well do do you know do you know Tenacious D with Jack Black yeah yeah do you know the the drama that he's been the other singer has been in yeah can I ask you what is your take on that and real quick for everybody that's that's not familiar with this um the day that the assassination attempt happened on Trump Tenacious D was in a concert in Australia correct I think it was Australia and they made a or and they brought out a cake to wish Kyle Gas the the Doo the one half of the duo of Jack Black and Kyle Gas being Tenacious D they brought him out of cake said you know what make a birthday wish blow out the candles and he said next time don't miss or something along the lines of that yeah he said that which I think was not only brilliant hilarious totally the tone of Tenacious D but man Jack Black stopped the tour right he he he himself stopped the tour the the Prime Minister I forget who or there was some politician calling to have them deported there was all this stuff that happened heard about this so what is your take on that honestly I saw the video before it went viral and everybody lost their minds but I just laughed at it I I didn't think it was that big of a deal because people say wait worse things and this man has it coming as well I mean come on dude you got to expect that kind of joke with your assassination attempt and I insist on this because come on man I've seen this I I remember the day after it happened I had a family dinner and we talked about this among French Arabs you know and none of them were believing that this even happened you know the assassination attempt the way the way it was staged the way he stood up like with blood on his face like he's Bruce Willis or someone America screaming like this come on bro we see you we see you what are you trying to what are you trying to do maybe your American fellow Americans believed it but we don't believe it we see you I I think I thought I thought the whole the whole effect after this for Tenacious D was too much honestly people people get too easily offended it was a joke I just spat out like that it wasn't even in America you know what I and stuff you know what really bugs me though it's what you said he needed to expect this coming and he just did an interview um oh my God who what Lex fredman another big YouTuber who I I wouldn't suggest watching him he's kind of rubbish he's like a Joe Rogan in a suit but Lex Freedman interviews him and Trump basically says you got to play the political game and because Lex is saying hey you're calling Kamala a comrade and a communist and I'm like man the farle only wishes she was like a communist or a socialist she's not even close you know but and when it comes to using that kind of language or calling people names or whatever he's done and and I mean the list goes on grab him by the pee you know all this stuff that he's done and for me it's so funny that people make a joke that's obviously a joke it's at a Tenacious D show I mean just listen to any of their music they are not a political commentary band yeah that's what I'm saying that we are used to see things like that from them so why they took it like they took it like it was some political comments some serious you know it it really frustrates me because for the the the right to say people are too sensitive to say everyone's got to be PC you know to say to complain about being snowflakes and safe spaces I say isn't this what you guys Champion isn't what Trump talks about being able to say whatever the [ __ ] you want if that means making fun of somebody who just had that happen to you know what I mean like that's the true meaning of free speech is making a joke at that time and all of a sudden it you know flipped around because they needed to play the victim so I'm glad to hear that other people are seeing things like that too because again Americans live in a big bubble you know we we think the world oper are no better French people are no better I promise you we are not better by any means and we're even worse by the way I have to ask you something you do re-upload these live stream to your channel don't you um they go so and for anybody watching this later what happens is we'll go live and then after it uploads it might take an hour it depends on how long we go for um it will upload to the channel but that's usually when I get the notification if everything's okay or not like it says like no restrictions or sometimes I have to take them down if I play a clip from another show or music just try to be careful cuz I'm French and I swear a lot so I have to you know control the curses I don't understand so I know YouTube and and that's the other thing so if you're just joining I'm with Darin right is that how I pronounce it yep you say Dar people in French say Darin but my non French people say Darin okay because I can't pronounce it like that I'm not going to try to prend all right all right um so and you are in France right now this is such a trip because I'm a kid from the 90s so like I had house phones and if you had a [ __ ] phone in your room that was like you know the the end all be all I remember when Pages came out and now I'm sitting here speaking face to face with somebody in France what time is it there it's 1:19 in Salem Massachusetts so what's it it's 7:19 here 7 P.M yet it's amazing so and hold on let me just hit the comments real quick because I Bandido says it was way too soon for that joke yeah that's what that's what I I I caught as well and even if it was I agree that it was soon right after it happened but I mean this this man has it coming and it's Tenacious D you watch their history they do that kind of [ __ ] all the time all the time and on top of that like let's face it comedy is about timing folks good comedy means impeccable timing and and there was no other if he had done it three days later it would have been a story it wouldn't have been funny you know like his timing I and I'll defend it to my dying breath you know what if someone makes a joke that happens to me and it's that funny [ __ ] good on you um all right so I can swear I'm from Medfield I'm from Medford Kathy is another local M you got me girl I heard you said the f word if the f word is okay then we're fine yeah listen I should be right so that's what I was going to say with YouTube I know I try to pay attention to like what they want from what I know is like you can dra as long as we're not just saying FFF F FF you know then we're good there was some channels that talk about how to incorporate swearing like you can't do it in the first 30 seconds or there's all these rules and I just say listen sometime I'm gonna drop an F bomb my kids know this too and it's and it's not going to be an excessive use it's usually um because it's felt for and Us in Massachusetts you know I don't know it's probably the same in in in France like there are times where it's appropriate you know it's called for well it's not exactly the same because French people swear for no reason at all like you say seriously I would know you say hello and you can be swearing already it's French people they angry all the time they are cold all the time and they have to swear it's part of the French language it's part of the French noises we make when we speak so um yeah we bit more intense on the curses than Americans I'd say I would say that's very similar to certain and and Kathy can Kathy kuchi can definitely attest to this because there are towns in Massachusetts that are a little rougher around the edges that I would say very much adhere to how you just describe things um T wolf we what's up um bonjour and I just want to give a shout out to everybody that's here JM anyone that I didn't get to say hello to this conversation feels forced and awkward well facade with what you mean forced and awkward what you mean listen here let me I'm gonna just show tell you something I've been doing this live stream five days a week since I think like March and people like to just say stuff so what I do is I entertain them I say you know what a facade with reasons question mark number one I really like your name I really do and your avatar looks kind of cool and I would say I'm forcing this and I'm trying to be as awkward as I can be so I'm glad to notice that's what I was going to say I'm part of the o gang as well there's no worries about it man I've got time for trolls go ahead man but exactly so and Daran this is why I knew this is going to be amazing um and just a brief rundown again uh we're connecting from Salem Massachusetts to France I thought it would just be cool to have you on because and coup the freestyler I don't know if he's still in here I wanted to say hello okay I see him in the chat coup is out in Egypt um and I think this is again maybe it's like the child in me that's really Blown Away by our technology that we can just connect this easily but I also think it's important because there are so many things that we don't realize that are impacting us globally kind of the same um and even though we might be in different parts of the world or whatever but all these things um the more we can communicate the more we can be in touch with other people in different regions of the world or whatever it is the better we have in solidarity you know in in and theen about solidarity if you paid attention to any of the strikes during the retirement age being rised um which man we should go into all that at a you know I might have to have you on again because there's so many topics for sure for sure because I also will diverge so don't hesitate to tell me just get back on track and well can we start with this because I'm so curious and I asked you this like right when we started talking you speak English fluently how is that normal now I don't know when you graduated high school I graduated in the turn of the century in 2000 so for me an American High School I think is pretty much textbook across the across the country it's like you take in elective language mostly Spanish or French in your high school years and and that's not even like a have to I think after like one or two years you can move on what was it like for you coming up uh you know going through high school is that something that they teachers there are a lot of kids your age that can just speak fluent English nah honestly French people can't even be bothered to speak English I don't know if you've ever been to France it's the truth they they don't even make an effort to for for for reigners and they pretend like they're above it completely kind of no it's real it's really real you should have seen the tourist being shocked during the Olympics they came to buy a croissant and they got out with the life lesson from the guy that was you know selling the croissant just because the accent wasn't good enough but um but they don't speak English that much we do uh teach we do learn it at school the way you guys do so when we go to I think it's high school because it's reversed for you high school it's college for us and college for us is high school for you so when you get in high school you have to choose uh different topics and there's Spanish or English or German and then two years after that you choose a second language so we we learn like two or three languages at school especially if you do Latin and Greek as well wowly shes that's a lot I started I started in a school where it was quite different actually I started very early on uh I think it was like what you guys called fifth grade yeah we had a an English teacher she was called Joyce and she came in one once a week every day every week I mean for a year and we started speaking English with her so when I started High School I already knew you know the basics but it wasn't the case for everybody else so I guess it's different according to the schools but still that's incredible because you don't I mean outside of you know some towns like the town I just moved from a lot of kids spoke Portuguese so they're kind of integrating um that language into the school system but at least from when I was growing up it was so it just wasn't thought of as important like Latin or Greek that wasn't even on you know like you couldn't even find someone to teach that stuff so to hear that that's really fascinating that you know there's other cultures that are recognizing some kind of importance in diversity of language you know well they they they try I mean Latin is just another example of French people be being people being stubborn because it's a dead language but you know French originated from from Latin so they they still teach it in school even to this day I think they still teach it but I learned mostly real English when I started going to University because that's where I I mastered in uh English and Spanish I had a master's degree in this so I had like 10 hours of phonetics per week uh was very intense for five years so I hope my my English is at least decent I might lose my word here and there but it should be decent no you're not going to find many French people who actually make the effort to speak English even the basics I mean saying hello how are you what you want what you need they they they they can't be bothered can I ask you it because we have that here in America right it's usually um described in the I don't want to have to press one for English and what's that mean um people here in America will understand like if you call somewhere you'll press one for English two for Spanish right and I just over the past couple decades that's really been like the hot button the way to sum it all up is like how people want people in America to speak English but gradually what's that become looked as as more I don't want to say racist but almost the racist mentality and that's kind of the culture here like you know we should be integrating we shouldn't be um considering English as like you you know everyone has to know it and again I'm not giving you my opinion I'm just telling you like kind of what I've noticed culturally is that the same in France like if people expect you to speak French uh are those people kind of looked at as like hey man no no no we shouldn't be doing that we need to um I don't know how to describe it but do you get what I'm saying like is there I get it I get it they well it's kind of similar in the way that they don't really integrate a lot of people that come from outside of France so like I said they're not going to be even if they know how to speak they're not going to make the effort they want you to speak French when you come in it's true that's AES they really stubborn for for real and yeah Curtis said real English by real English I mean not English that you you are taught at school I'm talking English like having a real conversation in real life because it's not real English that's what I mean well yeah and you know what that's fascinating too cuz I was trying to learn I've been wanting to go to Denmark for the life of me I don't know if you've ever been there but something about denark one all right I've never been and I know in what I've learned is like you really got to make an attempt to at least try to speak the language there and I'm guessing it's kind it's probably like that with a lot of countries like if you make the attempt they'll kind of meet you halfway if you're trying maybe not so much that's what I'm saying yeah n so in everything that I was doing whether it was dual lingo or I was watching um oh I I forget the name there were sitcoms there were these Danish sitcoms that I was watching to try to pick up with the subtitles to try to pick up the language and it's such a different it's like almost learning two different languages when you're learning it to like just understand the words and then you're learning it to speak conversationally it was so difficult that I don't want to say I quit but you know I [ __ ] quit I was like there's no way I could do this I'm 40 something years old what yeah I'm very old I'm an old head you say you're from the 90s you grew up in the 90s I grew up with the house phones and stuff as well well 94 but uh I thought you were way younger than this oh no um so I want to see she could take a train ride to so many cool places you know that's the other thing see there's so much but before we get into that cuz one thing I'm so fast ated with this happened to me when I visited Austria they expect you to treat German even though they know damn well I saw them speaking English that's usually how it happens yeah see what fascinates me is like in Europe if they do that it's kind of okay but here I feel like culturally it's it's it's looked down upon you know like if you're not making an attempt to I don't maybe I'm totally wrong maybe I'm totally maybe it's a culture War thing that I bought into but I think that's [ __ ] hilarious that they know English but they're just going to make you bend over backwards to try to speak a little German [ __ ] oh absolutely French people do that all the time I see the you know I work two jobs I work in a hotel and I work with animals in the hotel part of my my job in in this life I see them most of the people that come in are not French they come from all over the world but mostly Europe and you know they come in because we work in a hotel that's next to a stadium so every time there's a concert or sport event people come to the hotel my my colleagues get on my damn nerves because they they just call me whenever somebody comes in and doesn't speak French and I'm like are you at least going to try at some point to make an effort just stop being so French just try it it's not that hard say hello for God's sake I gave I gave them a few pointers and I was like this it's not that hard please try it at least I gave them a few a few pointers on a on a I wrote it down and stuff so the things that you say as a receptionist you know and none of them want to try it it's it's crazy and I kind of I kind of love that it's it's crazy how stubborn they are but the the you know the the tourists they tell us they tell us you guys are cold you don't even try when you see us struggling you make a struggle even more and I'm like I know I know I'm sorry now you know what I want to do we have to go and look up like the Google reviews of hotels in France because I want to read all the Americans complaining about that oh that can be something now listen there God I'm trying to stay focused because there's a lot of topics the Olympics um Halloween and the Paranormal um but but you just said something so you work at a hotel and it's next to a venue there's a huge story here in America um that's kind of been a story for years and it's about buying concert tickets um so here in America essentially the only place you can buy concert tickets if you want to go see Taylor Swift or if you want to go see you know I'm trying to think of like a small band whether you want to see the biggest band or the smallest band you're going through one ticket agency Ticket Master um it used to not yeah okay so it used to not be like that I just read this story about these Taylor Swift fans um it was a mom and some daughters and like there was a group it was a group of moms and daughters that flew was it Austria where the show was canceled the Taylor Swift one in Europe Austria or Australia I don't know I can't remember no I think it was somewhere in the EU and the Taylor somebody might know in the comments but so a Taylor Swift concert was cancelled from a uh a te attack I don't know how what YouTube's going to be with those words but for a potential attack that was th the one that happened in the UK right oh was it the UK yeah yeah okay okay so yeah I think the TCH happened in the UK so but what the article is just about how you know it got cancelled the kids were depressed and basically it was reflecting on um I think just the event in general getting cancelled but what I took away from it was it was fascinating that these parents were flying to Europe to see Taylor Swift and I kept reading and kept researching and from what I've learned and I might be wrong but it's cheaper it might be cheaper in like in total to fly to Europe and buy Taylor Swift tickets than just to buy the tickets here and what what uh there's a great Media company called uh uh [ __ ] I forget not some more news there's there you more perfect union more perfect Union does very like socially Progressive news stories and they just had a whole video about Ticket Master saying that it doesn't exist in the EU there's no Monopoly on tickets so essentially if Taylor Swift you know comes to some venue there isn't the price gouging that you get here in America now what is the ticket situation like say you wanted to go buy tickets are there multiple venues or or vendors or you guys don't do you even use Ticket Master yes I'm surprised you're saying that there's only one one uh you know like Ticket Masters owning everything it's it's kind of weird nationally it's it's odd because I've bought tickets through them multiple times when I came to the US but uh I mean in France you have many many vendors and of course it is cheaper I I I didn't experience it with uh Taylor Swift because I'm not a fan but I mean I went to the US for uh WWE events uh for a few metal concerts that happened over there and I was shocked at how expensive it was cuz I mean you can have let's say I just for instance I went to see Slayer before they retired I don't know if you know of them oh yeah a thrash metal band yeah I went to see them before they retired and the tickets were so expensive that it was equal to what I paid for a whole week of a metal festival happening in France a few months after I'm talking just the price of the ticket was as expensive as what I spent for the whole festival for a week and did you get those did you get those tickets through Ticket Master when you came to America yeah yeah you see you had to and I always say this I say if you know another place to buy tickets tell me because it doesn't exist anymore and it's kind of the shocking thing when you speak you know because here in America it's almost like we're desensitized to it and people just have kind of gone along with it this is what really bugs me because if you look into Michael Rino is the CEO of Ticket Master he just got like a 23 Mill or 123 million $116 million bonus um the same year in 2022 when they developed price surging essentially if there's high demand like there is for most concerts um they're going to raise the prices on you and they'll get away with it through fees or convenience charges or you know Stadium fees but you end up paying what could be thousands of dollars like you're saying one price of a concert was the whole week of a festival in France yeah now it it's it's bewildering but so I I can actually give my my input just from an outside's point of view I think you you guys are getting scammed on a lot of things like there's so many things that I about America that I don't understand of course like the lack of social security and all that the access to being healthy is just crazy in your country and um we don't realize as Europeans how lucky we have it but I mean there's so many things that it's like you guys are used to it now like the first time I watched TV in your country I was appalled at the numbers of ads you guys get every five minutes the show was cut off and I was like is that normal is it is it is it how it happens here do you guys don't just go on a strike or something like we do when that happens what you wrong with you it's it's sold in the package of Freedom like this is the freedom you get to it's sold to the how is this Freedom no listen I don't understand it at all but somehow that's how it's been sold so and that was what I was trying think of so Michael Rino was quoted and again I can't think of the exact quote so you just got to forgive me but I promise you it's out there and he's said it um Michael rapino the CEO of Ticket Master said you know we can charge these prices because Americans are going to want to go to a concert and and it's like getting a Gucci bag I think it was a Gucci bag he compared it to like it became a delicacy to go to a concert like it's a [ __ ] luxury item and they've and they've normalized it to think Taylor Swift shouldn't be for everyone it just should be for like the really wealthy people who can afford it or it should be that one one event a year that you get to go to and to me it's always bewildering because like you I go this is [ __ ] nuts like when I grew up you could just go to concerts for 20 bucks you know you all the bands or I guess in the UK you could or or in the EU you could still kind of do that you know you're saying you went to a whole festival for the price of [ __ ] one ticket but it's been sold to us and that's why like speaking with somebody who looks at it is so bizarre the other thing is do you guys have um and we will get to if there are questions um rather have the capitalism oh GMA you're showing your age right now hold on I gotta I gotta I gotta address this because listen my my mother-in-law when I I ran for mayor last year of the town I used to live because I was sick like yeah well so the T the mayor has ran unopposed for 13 years I said [ __ ] that noise because he had raised taxes for the people the citizens he raised the taxes on their houses the the homeowners tax and he cut taxes for Tesla Starbucks all the huge corporations that were in that town we have a couple of different like industry you know makers in the town and he cut their taxes so come the end of the year we all read that our water rates are going up the price for our water that we have to pay has jumped and in it there's a quote saying we didn't meet our budget so we came in under budget we have to make up that money somewhere we're charging you more for water and I said the fact that nobody is going well you cut taxes for the biggest earners in America Tesla Starbucks Target I'm trying to think there's there's Nordstrom in the town There's a mall so there's a mall with a Tesla there's like you know really big companies who he cut taxes he cut them in half for them and I said if we didn't cut their taxes we would there's no way we would have came under budget and I said this is just stupid that the people aren't rising up and revolting so that's long story short what drove me to do that but it's stuff like that that should be very obvious and what I was getting out with GMA is that when I was speaking to my mother-in-law she was ask me how is you know the run for mayor and by the way I don't have a car I'm in my wife's car right now so I was riding my bike around town to get signatures to get on the ballot um so you know everybody was like oh it's so adorable that you're doing this but I really meant it and I told her I said capitalism has got to go it's it's rubbish like we just talked about how in America Ticket Master is the only place to buy a ticket that's capitalism right there they became the biggest they bought out everyone else and now they're the only [ __ ] ones and they can charge what they want that is the epitome of capitalism and where's speaking with you who's in France who's telling us like there's another way there's another way there's so many other ways just there's so many so gima I just have to address that because because when it says I rather have the capitalism what I'm telling you is it's it's killing never mind everything else never mind like the prices it's killing like kids being able to just go to [ __ ] concerts on the weekends in the summer you know like I remember saving up and waiting in line and buying tickets and going to a concert maybe twice three times a month like why wouldn't we want our kids to have that because Michael Rino CEO of Ticket Master needs $123 million bonus like [ __ ] man oh that reminds me no you can go ahead man just just say whatever you gotta say because I agree with most of it I know just well I studied US History uh at univers for quite a while and I mean someone said that capitalism has to go I'm not sure that that can happen in the USA not in the like next 50 years because it's your whole history the whole country is based on this but I mean there's so many things that you should have access to as you know basic human needs like as a European when I see for instance what you guys have to pay for school I have many friends I'm a dancer uh a from working my my daily jobs I dance I have my own Dance Company hip-hop dancers so I know a lot of hip-hop dancers from the US as well and when I hear what they have to pay and how indebted they are because of school debts it just it blows my mind away how do you start in this in the in the scholar system with debts that are so it's not just little debts as well it's like I've heard like 100k or something and I'm like you you are 20 years old you just came out of school how are you going to give that back how do you owe that much to to get an education to me it's crazy so wait you went to do they call it University or you went to college in France correct what was what is your debt for going to school I don't have a debt wait and hold on hold on and earlier if you missed this if you're just joining you said you got a master's correct yeah a master's degree yeah and you have Spanish how much debt do you have nothing nothing I don't have any de that's crazy this is can I tell you something I don't I don't talk about this much but I'll tell you this so I so so I went to a tech school um I graduated so I have an associates degree right amazing school I had fun uh I had to take out loans for it so I took out I think my loans started at $114,000 for two years I think Seven Grand by the way let me just tell you this by the way the government just found my school system um they lied to all of us when we were applying about our graduation rates and pay and and job security rates so and there's a huge article about it in fact I have a couple of things in with the government right now trying to get my debt dismissed because I've been paying it since 2005 I graduated 2004 I've been paying it since 2005 $14,000 pay over $100 a month right this has been almost two decades next year will be two decades I still owe $10,000 on it I was going to ask you do you still owe money to this to this day $10,000 all of it has gone to principal I've never made enough to like you know pay big chunks you got to remember like my story is a little different both my parents died basically right after I graduated college my brothers didn't even get to go to college my youngest brother's still homeless he's been homeless for over 10 years so my story is a little different where it's like I didn't have a place to move back into I was homeless many times um again this why I don't go into it too much only because people like one guy argued with me online and said you just move in with your parents until you can save up and buy a house or afford to pay off stuff yeah we don't all have that luxury well and I said what about people who don't have parents he said who doesn't have parents I said [ __ ] conversation you just yeah yeah you used it's as if he just started to be a human being he's stuck at the tutorial he doesn't understand exactly yeah he's he's [ __ ] totally in the tutorial he'll learn one day hopefully not the road that I had to Hope but he'll he'll figure it out but it's incredible to hear because here I am you know two decades later still looking at a mountain of debt for a school that is a known Scam School sorry I don't mean to flip you off a known Scam School you know like the government found out this was a court case they dismissed millions of dollars of debt from the school system because it was basically a [ __ ] capitalist pyramid scheme you know they were charging us for things that they had lied about promising that we'd be able to pay when we got out and I detailed that in my paperwork to the government but it's so and and that's it's just so good to hear that you have a master's and you're not saddled and stressed by debt because I you want to know do you want to know the the even the amount that I put in my studies it's that's why it's so insane to me because you telling me such big amounts of money you have to I don't understand where it goes why do they need so much from people who just start in life and they have nothing yet I don't understand where it goes except in the pockets of the richest because I'm sorry having access to an education we are in 2024 what do you mean 10K you start your life with so many debts and you can't even just afford uh after school so many of my friends the dancers that are in La especially in La they have to work [ __ ] jobs just to be able to afford rent a little bit of food and uh you know driving around to go to classes dance classes in LA but they they can't just if they can't pay what they owe they can't pay what they need to pay to get even better and have a better place and have not even talking about having a a house buying a house or an apartment it's not even in in the question how do you expect these young people coming out of school fresh out of school have nothing mountains of debt and you talk about yeah this this new generation will never be able to afford a house man in your time you bought a house for like a couple of peanuts and three raspberries what what are you talking about life has changed so much but the the the debts like this I don't understand maximum do you want to know my my my studies they they are divided in two parts the Master's Degree so you have the license it's three years and then the Master's Degree it's the last two years I paid around five 500500 for my license and then for my Master's Degree I spent at least I think it was 1,200 and that's it and that's it and I was I was working back then so I was able to pay for it at once you know I didn't have any problems like that that's why I don't understand that the amounts it it seems gigantic to me you know what's so crazy like you just described those two costs 500 and 1200 and I know people that had to pay that within just entrance exam or or not entrance exams but exams to prove to go to school there's $50 application fees which sometimes are more so I mean what you paid for your entire schooling can be done can be a cost just to apply for some of these schools and what's really like you're talking about like this younger generation that's what bugs me is because hold hold on hold on I'm sorry hold on you have a c to apply to the school even if you're not sure that you're going to get into the school what is that about capitalism capitalism baby it's Freedom that is something wow in the name of capitalism all right merry no trust me this is why like most kids will apply to like either schools where they can apply for free or sometimes like they can only apply to one or two it's it's [ __ ] bewildering but get this these kids like you talked about and seriously they could take out a $100,000 in debt to go to school right but if let's say they didn't want to go to school and they just wanted to buy a house do you think they would get approved for $100,000 down on a house hell no but for the for the loan for school is all right and that's what's so infuriating that like if these kids wanted to create generational wealth I still think there's got to be a way to hack the system say you're getting a school loan get it all up front and put it down on a house you know like there's got to be ways we can get creative and clever and let these kids [ __ ] you know take this money and do something that's going to help their grandkids because it's so like I'm so happy to hear that you get to there are kids doing what you did for under $2,000 because you're going to have the smartest generation coming up you're going to be able to decipher the [ __ ] you're going to be able to develop systems that are going to better your great great great grandkids you know whereas here if you ain't got the money if you can't pay to play [ __ ] all these kids are going to be dumb working in some Factory that's not unionized that they're going to be you know wondering why there's no heat in the winter and that's what really like America's trying to pump out essentially you know unless you again unless you have the money um and that's why I don't like GMA I hate to bring it back to you but you know I love you I respect you we've never met but this is the definition of capitalism you're hearing the different right here um us is the land of corporate welfare that's right Bandido it is um now listen because predatory lending is also a choice when you control the lawn well and so so and this is I think a common theme that we're going to run across when the market is controlled by one or two companies like Ticket Master they control I think it's 80 to 90 tickets sold in America like you can't they even own the reselling market so Ticket Master if you go to resell your tickets they're getting a cut and that's what we're seeing um you know so much in all these different big Industries there's only a couple of players so they can kind of set the cost at what they want same with Kathy learn a trade kids listen learn a trade again that's cool I a lot of my friends learn trades but we're talking about the youth there are some people that just want to chase an education you and that should be okay there are kids that are hungry to learn why should we pay while those kids from being able to learn all they want you know you can get a full in America they feel bad for you by submitting a really sad backstory you need to present yourself in a very miserable way is that a is is it a thing like you have to listen I I I don't want to speak too much out of school but my daughter has a full uh ride to college everything paid um and and not to and not to like say it's always about a bad backstory but again her upbringing was ruthless you know she's come from some of the toughest stuff toughest Nails this girl is tough as Nails in her early 20s and I think that played a big part so facad reasons is not wrong like if you can play it up but again it's on the mercy of even this process seems so boring to me because we we don't we don't do that like we don't if I was to speak about my backstory they would have either put me in jail or a nut house or something and I wouldn't have gotten into this University here they'll give you $100,000 and say that's right we need to UC like you you messed up enough there you go now listen CA because I want to respect your time and I know that we've been doing this for almost an hour so I we WP up yeah no joke 50 minutes um but let me ask you this are you able to come back on at some point can we do sure whenever you want because we I knew this would happen this way that we would speak about and just bounce back of each other because my brain doesn't know how to stop but yeah yeah there's so many things to talk about and especially because you're from salm I realized that quite late but I I learned about the story of your town and stuff so I do have questions about that but I could definitely come back whenever you want so I think well well and that's the thing speaking with you because there's stuff about the Olympics you said something about um like so you own a dance company I don't oh yeah I you're part owning it yeah I'm part of it and it's in my name and my best friend's name did you watch um the Olympics were there did you get to see any of the break dancing I don't want to go too see see because I don't want to go for too long get into this we can we can get into this quickly but um I was obviously very excited because I was like finally we're being represented I mean we didn't have to be represented in the Olympics specifically but we were all excited so we all gathered uh in between dances at my place to watch it together and it started and um we were like all right that's fine it's not crazy B boys and be girls because we know people that are super talented right honestly [ __ ] beasts I can give you names of people that have to look up because these people are just in the future but we were watching it and be like okay it's like kind of old school like they didn't take the best out of the country or outside the country of France but all right fine and then came uh the Australian chick that everybody everybody got pissed out sh yeah ray gun that's her name ray gun and when she started we were like all right what is she doing uh is she trying to have fun or maybe mock the style it's okay it's it's kind of fun right and we were like what how did she land here this is the Olympics I mean in our dance battles in my town she wouldn't pass the pre-selection rounds so we were like what is going on here how did she go that far and how did she win against so many people up there this is normal and we like we were like kind of feeling weird about it but it wasn't that much of a big deal and then we saw the internet absolutely annihilate that woman and we were all like okay you guys we were not that insulted at dancers don't don't take it that far that you have to destroy this whole woman's path and what she did it's not worth it of course it was ridiculous of course we didn't understand how she landed there and then there were a few articles saying that maybe she paid her way there or something about her husband being on the panel of judges in Australia so there's got to be something right yeah cuz I mean there's no way there's even if the level wasn't crazy good there was no way this woman got in by herself and made it up to the Olympics of B boying this is something big this was a big event for every dancer in the World Hip Hop or not and we were disappointed because she she I'm not I'm no judge I'm nobody to say that but she she obviously didn't do well enough against certain people that should have gone even further in the competition that's where we were kind of annoyed yeah cuz I mean we well now do you hear so what and and again I read this maybe a couple weeks ago it was like on the heels of all this kind of virality but now they're saying so I forget where the next Olympics are in four years wherever the Summer Olympics they're saying break dancing will not be on there they've Tak course because it looked like this so so we so but after the next Olympics in eight years it's going back to Australia and Australia is fighting to have it back on so I think there and she's going to be on the judging panel yeah there's something funky going on go ahead take her back there's no problem and you know what we need to do too you and I are going to connect outside of this because I want it whatever names you have or if there's videos or you know good recommendations because I just haven't been able to put stuff together we got to connect and I'll make a playlist on the Discord uh if you aren't join the Discord great little like Reddit thread kind of style app um but it's a fun place to to connect and we'll post some good dancers cuz I said listen I wasn't like a break dancer break dancer but I had friends who were so we would go out on the cardboard with him and try to learn you know we got UPR rocking and you know some groundwork so I was excited too yeah you know so we were excited but then when I saw what was happening I went this just seems Biz like this wasn't the world's best you know no of course it wasn't the world's best but I mean we we had a lot of hopes high hopes for this moment in the Olympics every one of my friends and I were waiting for this specific moment and we were like okay that's that's how you're going to make us look all right then fine we'll keep doing it underground in between ourselves because this works way better but I'll give you a few names a few people even just my friends just I'll give you a few Links of what my friends do and you'll understand where we come from well and I think that's important too because and that's what I couldn't really back up with video or showing people but I think it's important for people who are just experiencing break dancing for the first time at the Olympics like they got to understand like that was not like like that was maybe not an olypic I was bothered I was like for the newcomers there's no way they're going to think this is what we do it can't be just we we work hard and we have been dancing for years now some of us over 20 years and especially in my town in Leon where where I'm living dance is huge over there food and dance is massive over there see we didn't even get into the food that's why I have to come back cuz you you have to cuz because it's yeah it's two o'clock now I got a couple things to do oh my god oh and soless put the link to the Discord um because we have we have to talk food some of the stuff you sent me I didn't even comprehend what it was and my brother who has worked in the service industry forever has worked with some really good chefs some maler like he's been in he teaches me about cooking and I that's what we're going to have to just tease and you and I will communicate well in the next week or so if you can do it and I can do it I'll have you back on in a week we're going to talk food I want to talk more Olympics spooky stuff as well it's almost Halloween it Halloween is coming up so maybe we'll have to do it close we'll maybe we'll do Olympics and food next and then if you can come back on maybe closer to like the 1 of October we can talk you know Salem and all of France and how the paranormals looked at I was really shocked just a quick story my buddy um created produced a TV show a paranormal TV show here in the states one of my close friends uh it's it was called um what the [ __ ] was it called oh my god parent uh oh my God I can't it's with Ryan bule if you know that show with Ryan bule it's a really heard about it yeah so from 2008 what the [ __ ] was it called I can't believe I'm blanking on the show but so anyway so he would travel to the UK he was making documentaries and he went to castles in Scotland and no not Ghost Hunters uh it's not Ghost Hunters I was about to say it is Ghost Hunters no Paranormal State that's what it's called it was about the kids that uh basically made par a paranormal team in college which translated into a TV show Paranormal State if you get a chance to look it up it's from the early 2000s but my buddy produced can you can can uh can um soless can you put put it in this in the Discord the name so we don't forget yeah yeah and I'll I'll link some of the videos because they did great work again it was a TV show so but they really were a real team I've worked with him out here he does real investigate like very real but when he came back from one of his movies documentaries he made in the UK he said it's such a different culture like they really respect the Paranormal it's not looked at as like oh you're kind of crazy it was more of like part of the history um and that's what I was wondering with France is that is it more of looked at as like oh they're not some wacky Ghost Hunters but there's like a reverence to the locations and the history and the whatever you know it may be per Town um I can give you my opinion as a French Arab because I'm half French half Algerian Arabs and Spirits is a big story so of course I have many many many paranormal stories that happened and we believe in that and we take it seriously uh and in my town there's a lot of places that has been kept uh exactly the same but it has been over centuries so there there are places with heavy history and uh things that happened for instance where I used to go in college right next to it there was a place called Le de BR and Le for de BR was a place with uh people who killed each other so it was a big massive Fort and it was Heavy in history heavy in energy and everybody knew it wasn't that you believe it or you don't believe in it it was just we knew that things were happening in there after centuries of it being like that so because we have places that have been kept identical uh from when things happened back in the days we do believe in these things because we see and hear things happening all the time so I don't know about friends in general but where I'm from it's taken seriously yeah yeah so we have to oh my God there's so many oh my God I could spend like six hours talking paranormal stuff with you so what we'll do what what we will do um soless it was called Paranormal State like Paranormal State College but it was just Paranormal State I will a little bit later today I will link it and I'll link some videos and I'll link my buddy Chad's uh YouTube because he does YouTube and he talks about the things he experienced he does like a podcast that's not like video like we're doing it's just the audio on YouTube so I'll link some of that stuff um oh for sure check it out but number one thank you so much for this was so amazing and I feel like we could have spoke for two more hours and it would have felt minut honestly same thing I could speak like that for even four hours and if you don't stop me I'm never going to stop so I'm so glad that you actually gave me this opportunity I love this moment thank you everybody who was there but I can't wait to you know come back and talk even more about everything else yeah that's what I was going to say can we please can you please come back on because not only the Olympics the food parano there's a lot of things and also if you have any questions leave them in uh when the video uploads please leave them in the comments or in the Discord and we'll tackle questions thank you Bandido GMA and yeah thank you to everybody soless too for to for wrenching on the Discord um but a huge thank you to Daren for coming on for taking some time thank you man for for for hosting me and and all your friends in the chat here I really really enjoyed it and yeah of course I'm coming back there so many things that we have to discuss facade with reasons is saying same time next week are you you know what you and I will talk facade I can't I can't promise anything you and I will talk maybe later today tomorrow or the next few days and will I will do another post on YouTube If you hit subscribe and the notification Bell I'll do a promotion post where when me and Daren can lock down a time and day Timothy n what's up man you have a beautiful day too uh so we will lock down a time and I promise you if you're subscribed and you have the notifications on you will see a promotion when we said it but yeah let's just say within a week within a week or so we'll talk more and then we'll do sure we're not we'll do like a paranormal Halloween episode because I gotta ask you so many things about what it's like to celebrate Halloween in France I I'm I'm not gonna do it right now excited about this one all right awesome thank you guys so much for showing up please subscribe if you liked it today leave a thumbs up um and thank you Daren again we will all right guys have a good one take care see you later peace
