thank you very much Bob yeah the Nationals get a win today and Patrick Corbin gets win number 100 in his career Patrick congratulations on that you've accomplished some pretty good stuff in your career let's back up I've had two of those one or two Gatorade showers in his career you've gotten 10 years of Big League service you were the winning pitcher in game seven of the World Series and now you pick up career win number 100 what does this specific accomplishment mean to you no I mean you just you try to do your best every day you go out there um give your team the best chance to win um finally glad we got this one out of the way though um seems like it's been a while everyone's been grinding so um just uh hopefully we get in there after we'll celebrate and um finish this season off strong when you were growing up in Upstate New York if I had told you back then as a teenager that you would pick up 100 wins in the big leagues what would that tell you about what your career might look like yeah I mean it never you know never thought of it never thought it' be uh to play this long either you just um you come in every day you try to get better try to learn and um go from there um to when I was a kid you always dream of being in the big leagues but um something you never know if it's going to come true but um hopefully I can um uh teach what i' what I've learned um to my kids and and maybe they have a future as well but um just a good team win today and um like I said looking to finish this season off strong and um and go from there we've heard from from so many of your teammates over the last handful of years about how they admire how you take the ball every fifth day regardless of what you're feeling that day where the team is at where you're at you want the ball anytime that you have the opportunity to take the ball what has given you that approach over the course of your career where does that desire that want to come from um you just you try to prepare um I love the challenge to go out there and compete um baseball is very challenging there's a lot of highs and lows you try to learn from those and um and go out there and comp and when you're in between the lines um that's what I love and I think that's why I continue to play the game be there for your teammates um try to lead by example things like that but um it's been fun to to be part of a staff with a lot of younger guys who are um willing to work and and and do similar things so just a bright future here with those guys and looking forward to um continuing this season with them you've led a lot of fun celebrations inside the clubhouse for individual accomplishments for other guys what do you think they have in store for you after you pick up this win here today um not sure hopefully nothing too crazy but uh I'm all for it so um we'll see what happens Patrick congratulations all right thank you thank you
