2024 Michigan State Fair opens Thursday at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi

This rain is happening right now, but it's supposed to stop in a couple of minutes. And we got a wild weekend of fun out here at the state Fair. And one of the things I learned how to do today, which you're going to see in this package, is that these young ladies showed me how to show a pig. How good was I at showing a pig? I got best in Show for showing a pig. So roll that package and let's watch these hijinks. Did you know that Michigan ranks first in milk production per cow? We have very milky cows. All right, hang on. Let me see. Oh. Look at that. It's more fun milking a cow. I got to tell you, you have beautiful hair. You really do. So this is Fiona, the miniature horse. And my cameraman, Jeremy has a daughter named Fiona. Hi, Fiona. The miniature horse. Look at that beautiful hair. She's really beautiful. And that, of course, is a miniature donkey. What's a zebu? Oh she doesn't like me as a breed of cattle. And this is her calf. So we have Wilma, and we have not named the calf yet, so we might name him while we're here at the state Fair. That's a him. It is. It's a bull calf, Wilma and Fred for Fred Flintstone. That's what I'm thinking. So we might let some lucky fairgoer name him officially. Whoa, look at those red eyes, man. What have you been smoking? Do you have some? Sounds like Roop Raj when he gets an assignment, he doesn't like. Well. Hi there, piggy. Oh my goodness. What's this pig's name? We don't have. We don't have names. Circus chairman. Yes, sir. Tell me what they can see at the Shrine Circus this year. Well about everything. We got horses. We got camels. We got all kinds of stuff. Trapeze artists. We've got everything you would want to see in a great circus. And of course, you've got the clowns, right? We have the clowns. They're here. Just a bunch of clowns.
