Heat Returns to the West and Cool, Wet Weather Coming for the East | #WeatherAM

[Music] uh so glad you can join us on the Weather Network it's time for weather a.m. Thursday September the 5th my goodness the month is already speeding by you know there's different ways to get around the beautiful city of Vancouver time-lapse video from Ryan vodan from a boat love seeing that perspective of downtown that way or of course you could take the sky Train also another time I think that's a time lapse there you go I that train does move and this is uh in further east across Metro Vancouver thank you very much uh Brad for sharing that in so however you're getting around in British Columbia today well the heat is it's back so make sure you pack lots of water cooler air not up to bat but on deck in Ontario of course we'll have your school day forecast as well throughout the uh throughout the program start off across across the West now some rain showers are getting steered to the north huay Prince rert the Alaskan Coast really heavy rain even the you know White Horse getting some showers but over towards you know the Vancouver Island the Lower Mainland the C the Okanagan right towards the Columbia District uh Cy you're looking at very warm temperatures lots of sunshine and that Ridge is going to continue with you today tomorrow into the weekend and spilling eastwards across the Rocky Mountains so a taste of real like Midsummer heat in many cases Colona right through the weekend and early next week temperatures running around 30 degrees now this will not be good news for that forest fire risk cuz you got hot dry weather for an extended spell of time now IND Calgary getting above 30° in September typically is a bit of a challenge when you string together multiple days in a row beginning Friday and right through till Tuesday that is also very unusual so again really hot weather and all the way to Saskatoon as well a temperatures likely exceeding 30 degrees for multiple days Saturday into early next week so that's the ridge for you now today you'll note temperatures more like mid to uper 20s in Southern Alberta but teen temperatures in Manitoba scattered showers and Thunder storms in the wake of a cold front I even going to keep my eye on potential a water spout or two around um you know the big lakes but look like winipeg for example so around the Interlake region in north potential thunderstorms with some rain showers this afternoon and evening and for the most part that dissipates through tomorrow now I talked a lot about the heat from Saskatchewan westwards but into Manitoba not maybe you're not going to get into the real hot weather for this weekend early next week you might but still you are climbing and you've got good weather for outdoor activities this week all right Ontario beautiful day in the South Quebec as well through all of Atlantic Canada Northeastern Ontario though getting into the rain and by the way Timmons 25 today when that boundary passes You by 8 degrees tomorrow what a contrast from Summer to fall so along that front we've got rain and Gusty winds and then we got a second low moving up from the Atlantic and that'll bring some heavy rain to portions of the East Coast so unlike the West which is going to be dealing with summery weather with lots of sunshine and heat it's going to be feeling more like fall it's going to be raining at times locally heavy especially Friday night through Saturday around the you know GTA Southwestern Ontario the heaviest amounts of rain likely towards Ottawa Valley northwards where you can see an excess of 50 millimet of rain so there could be some embedded thunderstorms with this and not to be outdone overnight Friday onwards through the weekend a couple of boats of rain could bring up to 75 millimet of rain into Halifax and up to 50 millimet from Cape Bretton to monton so but doggy in the east sumary in the west and that is your National forecast [Music] [Music]
