The Secrets of Emily Compagno’s Personal Life Are Now Out in the Open

Intro The saying, Jack of all trades, was simply  referring to the multi talented Emily Compagno.   You might remember her from court, or the  cheerleading squad, Oakland Raiderettes. Heck,   you might've even seen her on your television  screen, hosting the Fox TV show, ‘Outnumbered’. Her numerous endeavors, all successful,  have earned her a respectable title in   the professional world. However, her ambition  almost wrecked her personal life. Early Life in School Early Life and School The iconic story of Emily Compagno began at Oak  Knoll Naval Hospital in Oakland California. Her   father, John Compagno, was the youngest  son of an immigrant family from Sicily.   He was also the director of the blood bank  unit of the hospital where Emily was born.  But those weren't his only roles. He had  previously served as a commander in the   U.S. Navy. There, he led an incredible life of  honor by saving lives as a physician. His wife,   Katherine Compagno was a genealogist, who shared  her family’s history and our legacies of military   service, culture, and honor through generations. She also nurtured, cared and was present for her   children even as a breast patient. She eventually  survived and joined hands with her husband, John   in caring for their family of five which included  three children of which Emily was the last.  It was in this warm and nurturing environment  that Emily’s ambition began to sprout. With   her father as her role model, Emily set out on  a path to success which began at college. She   enrolled at the University of Washington,  where she studied political science.  There, she tried to follow her father’s exact  steps by joining the military. She harbored   dreams of becoming a fighter pilot at the  U.S. Air Force, so she applied to it. She   told Fox News that she had been so obsessed  with her goal that she went to Space Camp and   Aviation Challenge, and even the Air Force  Academy's Summer Scientific Seminar, just to   secure any related internship she could find. Unfortunately, she was met with a no and her   height was cited as the reason. But Emily wasn't  taking their no for an answer. She then enrolled   in the USAF ROTC while studying at the University  of Washington. There, she was awarded the Air   Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadet of the  Quarter Award for her outstanding performance and   was well on her way to achieving her goal. But, the Air Force still didn't think she   was capable. After spending two years at ROTC  training, her height was again cited as an issue.   So ultimately, she had to abandon her dream. However, that still didn't deter Emily. Instead,   it fueled her passion to pursue her childhood  dreams of pursuing ballet. She had been dancing   since she was three, participating in dances like  “The Nutcracker.” Her immense talent led her to   perform far and wide in San Francisco in different  schools and even elderly care facilities.  She had put her passions on hold while pursuing  a career in the military and studying political   science at the University of Washington. Soon  after she graduated from University, she reignited   her interest in her childhood passion of dancing. She began a career in professional cheerleading   for the National Football League team, Oakland  Raiders. While pursuing that, she enrolled in   the University of San Francisco School of Law.  With her ambition and time management skills,   she remarkably balanced both jobs. Alongside  this, she also worked as the president of the   Federalist Society and articles editor  of the Intellectual Property Bulletin.  Soon Emily was ready to explode, but how did  her many careers kick off simultaneously? Early Career With her immense talent and skill set, She  quickly established herself as a force in   both the legal and dance community.  Eventually, she graduated with a J.D.   from the University of San Francisco School  of Law in two thousand and six. From there,   she became a criminal defense  attorney in San Francisco. She practiced criminal defense and civil  litigation in a private firm in California,   focusing mostly on white collar  and juvenile issues. From there,   she became a Senior Judge Judicial  Extern for the late Hon. John T.   Noonan at the U.S. Court of Appeals  for the Ninth Circuit. On top of that,   she held other legal positions in Cape Town,  South Africa, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Then she went on to serve as a federal managing  attorney at the Social Security Administration,   one of the top ten largest U.S. agencies  in two thousand ten. Eventually, she   became the Acting Director of the Administration. Her career in the federal government led her  to tackle many societal issues like fraud,   regulatory, administrative and agency,  budget and efficiency, contracts, labor,   and even employment, where she bargained for unit  and union matters. Her impact was felt immensely   before she eventually resigned in two thousand  and fourteen and went back to private practice. Surprisingly, even while making all these  numerous advancements in her career,   Emily remained a Raiderette. She had  graduated from the position of a mere   cheerleader to becoming the captain of her team. On top of that, she was also selected as an NFL  Ambassador. This led her to make numerous trips   around the world to countries like China where  she promoted NFL China in Beijing and Shanghai. She also realized her childhood dream  of becoming a military personnel but in   a different way. She was chosen as one of  five NFL cheerleaders to visit U.S. troops   stationed throughout Iraq  and Kuwait on a USO tour. Even though she couldn’t fly in the Air Force,   she still realized her dream of flying  with the U.S. Army. She and the four other   cheerleaders got to spend two weeks in Baghdad  entertaining the troops of the U.S. military. Emily thought fondly of this  memory and she told Fox News   that in her interview about her family  history. She recalled how mind blown she   was to see firsthand how isolated  and young the soldiers were. Curious,   she asked them to share their stories which  they did and it inspired her even more. She shared that their reasons for  signing up ranged from things like   desperation to family hardships.  So to help these troops relax,   she dedicated more time to her  routines, intending to make them smile. And According to her, it worked. She told Fox   that her primary reason for being  there was to boost their morale   and show them that Americans care about their  service and dedication to the country. She   wanted to cure the homesickness of the soldiers  and put a bit of normalcy in their chaotic world. Sadly, for the second time in her life, she  couldn’t achieve that. The casualties of   wartime led one of the soldiers, Sergeant  Timothy David, to die, while the other,   Lieutenant Colonel Karcher, lost both his  legs after their vehicle drove over an IED. Rise to Fame Rise to Fame and New Heights: After that traumatic experience, Emily decided  to return to her legal career in America. She   continued with her legal practice and  by two thousand and eighteen, she hit   something big. She began working with Fox  News. She began contributing by appearing   as a guest legal analyst on the show, "The Five." With that, she hosted the series, “Crimes  That Changed America" on Fox Nation,   the cable network's streaming service. Her  skill and dedication gave her recognition   and soon, she became elevated to her current  status of co host of the show, Outnumbered. She and Kayleigh McEnany officially joined the  show in March two thousand and twenty one and   were assigned to host outnumbered alongside  television anchor Harris Faulkner. Fox CEO,   Suzanne Scott expressly praised Emily’s  hard work in her love announcement. She admitted to being impressed by Emily’s legal  expertise and her natural ability to connect with   the Fox audience on many different stories.  This led Emily to pledge to work even harder   to share her political and legal insights  with her co hosts and audience every day. Her truly inspiring journey from attorney  to NFL cheerleader to Fox News co host   might seem overly ambitious to others, but  not Emily. She told TheWrap in an interview   that the reason for her successful  and numerous careers was passion. According to her, she was  always pursuing a passion,   and that gave way to her many opportunities.  That was true because cheerleading and dancing   had always been her dream. She was also  very interested in her career as a lawyer   and seeing her passions for both things, she  naturally got access to more opportunities. According to her, one of the  most amazing opportunities   she got was to work in a firm where her  colleagues were supportive. Surprisingly,   most were former professional  athletes and coaches themselves,   and the ones that weren’t represented a lot of  professional athletes in many high profile cases. So, getting their support on her side wasn’t very  difficult. Also, she began to learn her television   skills from as far back as her NFL days. She  made numerous media appearances after becoming an   ambassador. And to sharpen her skills, she watched  her boss at her firm do legal analysis on air. Her two careers laid the foundation for her big  jump from ambassadorship and legal practice to   doing legal analysis on the “Outnumbered” couch.  She thanked the founding co host Harris Faulkner   for the opportunity and promised to inform,  educate, and hopefully inspire on the show. And, she had to live up to that, because  since its two thousand and fourteen launches,   “Outnumbered” had been the top show on cable  from twelve p.m. to one p.m., averaging over   one million total viewers, with two hundred  and eighty three thousand advertiser coveted   age demographic of twenty five to fifty four,  which was the highest in television ratings. The   gap between it and Nickelodeon’s noon hour  programming which came in second is wide,   with Nickelodeon only averaging nine  hundred and seven thousand total viewers. These statistics boosted Emily’s willpower  and she worked harder than ever on the show.   In her three years on the show, she  has already become widely popular,   ranking as number twenty two on television  hosts today. Her net worth also stealthily   increased from a couple of hundred  dollars to around ten million dollars. She moved from earning one thousand dollars  per hour as an attorney to earning an annual   salary of three million dollars with Fox. She bought her  first car, a BMW six series after earning   her first major paycheck. Then, to celebrate  her rise in the ranks after joining Fox News,   she purchased two new cars. One is a  Jaguar XF and the other is a Porsche. However, her favorite from her car collection  is her nineteen seventy two Ford Mach one named   Malosa. She purchased her retro baby  in two thousand six and its original   Cleveland Engine kept the car  running for ten more years. Even when the engine knocked up, Emily  still didn’t want to let the car go,   so she did an overhaul. Now, the car runs on  a five point zero gen two Coyote Aluminator   engine and a manual transmission with  a nine inch setback shifter. She also   did some sheet metal, and bodywork to the car. For the body, she chose to have the silhouette of   her best friend, Doberman Pinscher Duchess dog,  drawn on her gauge panel. The fuel filler cap   has a perfect drawing of Duchess's face laser  etched to it, with "Duchess" engraved below.  Also, her shifter knob has a laser etched Raider  Nation sugar skull to remind her of her glory   days as a cheerleader. Another reminder is the  Raider Nation shield embedded at the center of   her steering wheel. And for the final touches, she  has flameson embedded on the outside of the car.  Sadly, Emily’s life was far from straight forward,   and her life soon became a series of  scandals. But which was the worst one? Emilys numerous scandals Emily’s Numerous Scandals Her immense success that can be measured  in both her assets and love for cars,   is not without its downsides. Most of Emily’s  fame comes from the fact that she is a quite   controversial figure who has had a lot of  unpopular opinions to air on Outnumbered. In a December twenty twenty one episode of the  show, she celebrated the news that Better.com CEO,   Vishal Garg fired more than nine hundred of  its employees. She was happy that the digital   mortgage lender let go of fifteen percent of  its Indian and American workforce over Zoom. According to Emily, the workers only worked  for two hours a day when they were paid for   eight and that was a sign of a lack of work  ethic and daylight robbery of the CEO. So,   she was happy when he chose to no longer  condone their bad behavior, and fire them. Her unpopular opinion caused her to come  under fire on social media and she faced   immense backlash for being insensitive  and lacking empathy. But that didn’t   stop her from airing her controversial opinions. The following year, she did it again when  Alexandria Ocasio Cortez gave an interview   to GQ. In the interview, Alexandria  argued that her experience as a woman   in politics had given her a better view of  how deeply people in America hated women. Many people were quick to respond with some even  supporting Alexandria, but Emily was not one of   them. She decided to air her grievances about the  Congresswoman’s speech on national television. First of all, she highlighted  the naivety and hypocrisy of   Alexandria’s statement stating  that America would never allow a   female to be elected when she was in  fact, a thriving member of politics. Emily also argued that she was only  saying that based on her experience,   without paying attention to or honoring other  women already in power. She argued that Alexandria   should have honored the achievements of  women like Maya Flores and Winsome Sears,   instead of blaming the entire country  for her lack of a future in politics. Her controversial opinion made  her come under fire once again,   but this time, it brought more fame and  popularity with it. Seeing her rising   status. Emily decided to become the queen of hot  tales and in the same year, she launched again. She called out Leonardo DiCaprio for his  hypocrisy in being an ambassador for the   environment. This was after the actor was seen  traveling on an environmentally unfriendly super   yacht while pleading with the general  public to watch their carbon footprint. The photo featured the actor lounging around  on the one hundred and fifty million yacht   near St. Barts in the Caribbean. And Emily  was appalled. She filled viewers in on the   stats stating that the yacht produces as  much carbon sailing just seven miles as   an average car does in a year, and it  costs nearly three grand to fill up. Her statement backed with statistics  led the public to put Leonardo under   fire for his hypocrisy. But, she  still had more to say. This time,   she aired her political views against the fourty  fifth president of the United States, Joe Biden. The topic of conversation on this occasion  was Biden's suitability for a second term,   as he was already aged and would be  eighty six years old by the time the   tenure ended. Emily had a lot to say  about it and she didn’t hold back. She argued that if his policies were awesome,  no one would mind his age or the many nuances   that come with it. However, according to her, his  policies were terrible and were hurting Americans. She backed it up by giving some statistics  about Americans’ beliefs on the term limits   of the presidency. Then, she weighed in  with her own belief that President Joe   Biden wasn’t mentally or physically capable  of being President for a second tenure. Her very controversial and fearless take  even against the president made Emily   unstoppable. Her popularity rose through the  roof and the ratings in her show outnumbered,   reportedly increased. Her professional  life and career were all shades of success. Love at Second Sight Love at Second Sight: And frankly, so is her personal life. Unlike  the popular assumption that she is single,   Emily is the opposite. She is  happily married to her husband,   Peter Riley. And their love story is just amazing. According to Distractify, their love story  began during their teenage years in high school.   Unfortunately, it had to end when they parted  ways after going to different universities. Peter   went to Portland State University in two thousand,  while Emily went to the University of Washington. British newspaper, The Sun revealed the couple  had their marriage in Emily’s hometown of Italy   at the Hotel Villa Cimbrone on Italy's Amalfi  Coast. The only other people present aside   from them were their photographers,  Tree and Jos Woodsmith, for company. She told Layers of Luxe magazine that  she planned her wedding in a way that   would honor her heritage while focusing  completely on their love for each other.   She stated that they planned their wedding  just for the two of them to thoughtfully   take their vows and also enjoy the lavish  food and gorgeous scenery Italy had to offer. In contrast to the public spotlight of  her professional career, her personal   life remains very hidden. Her husband prefers to  be out of the public’s eye and out of the News. The only glimpses we get are from her  social media posts showcasing bits and   pieces of her husband. She has dedicated time to  helping veterans and military related charities.  Emily recalled the reason for her interest in the  military was her family’s military background. She   told Fox that when she was younger, her father  was a commander in the U.S. Navy. So seeing his   strict behaviors and military characteristics  increased her love for military service. She encouraged people in her interview to  share in her love as well by supporting   veterans. She encouraged viewers to fly Old  Glory at their homes, shine blue light bulbs   over their front porch, and be vocal about  their support for the veterans as well.  Also, she encouraged people to support veteran,  leo, and One R owned businesses and to support   laws that directly benefit veteran communities. She said that she was always going to be   contactable in case of anyone looking  to support veterans’ businesses or for   anyone looking to donate to their charities. Her love for veterans coupled with her love   for her late dog, Duchess, has led her to  join many military dog related charities.  The closest to her heart is the K nine hurricane  heroes founded by the retired k nine agent,   Marshall Mirachi. The charity focuses on  providing law enforcement and military   dogs with subsidized veterinary care so  that they can live long and healthy lives.  She is also a member of the Pawsitive  Change charity which creates hope and   opportunity for incarcerated people  and rescued dogs to find a path home.  Also, she supports the Pilots ‘n’ Paws initiative  which volunteers pilots to transport rescue pups   out of kill shelters to their "furever" homes.  She talked about the others like the Throwaway   Dogs Project that turns misunderstood  and rescue dogs into working leo canines   and Fire Dept arson K ninesniffer dogs. She supports other organizations like Dogs   for Our Brave which saves two lives at once by  providing professionally trained service dogs at   no cost to veterans who have suffered debilitating  injury or illness while in service to our country.  Spike's K nine Fund is also in her list and that  organization protects our nation's working dogs,   providing custom fit ballistic vests, protective  equipment, medical cost assistance, and access   to top of the line training programs for them. Aside from veterans, she also spends her time   helping charities in Africa. She visited the  continent during her early career, when she gained   a law school internship in South Africa. But she didn’t only focus on her career,   she served as a volunteer working with orphans in  other countries like Zambia, Malawi and Uganda.  She has also retained her interest for art,  keeping her love for dance alive by maintaining   a family tradition of attending the San Francisco  Ballet's production of the two act Tchaikovsky   piece every year. She also takes her three  nieces to the Pacific Northwest Ballet's annual   production to share her love for ballet too. Overall, her life is graced with her strong   faith in God which she shared with Fox as well.  She shared that she has maintained a positive   outlook on life all these years through her faith,  gratitude and enjoying the little joys of life.  Emily’s career has undoubtedly been nothing  short of impressive.
