opinion than college football season of course you know why because Major League Baseball is going the NFL is going hockey is in Camp basketball's about to go in Camp everything's going on at one time and you can't beat that and so we think back to what's been going on in the college football world and you know we ask ourselves well wait a minute what are we watching here oh that's right we're watching an 0 and2 Florida State Squad which is a little bit alarming right now but then again anything can happen because why it's college football speaking of Florida State losing to Georgia Tech of course 24 to 21 in the previous week come back and lose to Boston College again and just kind of wrapping up from where we were before Montana State upsets New Mexico this is back on the 24th and of course SMU with a shocker over in Reno against the wolf pack of Nevada and of course Hawaii gets their win now moving back to the previous week's games Missouri with an easy win over Murray State Missouri I tell you what folks Missour is the real deal it's not whether they're beating up on cupcake city no these guys are good they're very well coached and frankly if you're not watching Missouri football you probably should consider it and think about some of these other squads too Kansas at 22 by the way Missouri is ranked 11th Kansas at 22 beat up on very very small lyen wood but then again this is a Kansas Squad that is very very much improved ruter beats up on Howard 44 to7 because that's what they're supposed to do an underman Howard Squad Buffalo all over Lafayette Utah blanks Southern Utah which is to be expected the 12th ranked team of the nation should be destroying these unranked smaller schools which they did NC State over Western Carolina in a closer game than what we thought at 38-21 Bowling Green 41 forom 7 that's to be expected Central Michigan dropped 66 on Central Connecticut state but then again imagine what Auburn would have done to them imagine what Georgia would have done to them Georgia would have scored 100 points on them in my opinion and it was L Louisiana Monroe 30 over Jackson State 14 Central Florida 57 to3 over New Hampshire wake all over ncent Arkansas 70 Pine Bluff zero yeah some of these scores are a little bit embarrassing I might add nonetheless it was Toledo 49 910 over Duane Colorado 3126 let me tell you something that North Dakota State Squad is a very very good one and for anybody to say well you know it's North Dakota State well apparently you don't know college football apparently if you don't know if you're making that statement you don't know that North Dakota state has nine national titles in their trophy case nine that's no mistake folks these guys are are good and for everybody that says well yeah but they play one AA listen if you're saying they play one doua football and you're questioning their abilities that's right an astounding round of booze for you because you don't know anything about college football if you don't know anything about North Dakota State nonetheless how many how many pro football players they put in the NFL I think if I'm not mistaken it's somewhere around 60 players in and out of North Dakota State into the National Football League so if you're questioning them don't question them they're a solid program anyway Coastal Carolina with a nice win at Jacksonville States in fact he doubled them up two lane blank Southeastern Louisiana as everybody would expect Tulsa big over Northwestern State and of course UAB 41 alorn abysmally a three Illinois drops 45 and Eastern Illinois 45 nothing North Carolina eeks by the Golden Gophers 19 to7 and San Jose State over Sach State 4224 now mind you then the big stuff started kicking off with Oklahoma 51-3 over Temple no this is not a scoreboard show this is the preview this is the beginning of the beginning of college football Duke easily over Elon TCU struggles with Stanford on the road Wisconsin handily over Michigan Western Michigan that is and then of course we got to the big games now how do you like Georgia over Clemson 34-3 is Clemson that bad or is Georgia that good I don't know I I have to think that Georgia is probably that good because that Clemson Squad is a pretty damn good one Ohio State big over akan Oregon in a little bit more of a dog fight in that border War with Idaho 2414 Texas easy over Colorado State mind you a pretty damn good Colorado State team Alabama no problem with Western Kentucky Old Miss 76 to nothing over Ferman you know these are the fun scores in the first week or two that you look you say yeah yeah I remember back when when Alabama or Old Miss scored 76 on their opponent it was Ferman Ferman yeah that's right Ferman then it was no Dame somehow eeking out a win at College Station don't really understand that one Penn State with a nice border war game against West Virginia 3412 kind of a big win Michigan all over Fresno State 30-1 Tennessee destroys Chattanooga 69-3 Oak State over South Dakota State K State over UT Martin no big surprises there here's one it's a little bit of a surprise in my opinion Miami goes into Gainesville 19th ranked wins 4117 over Florida which is a little bit of a shocker to me Arizona big over New Mexico Iowa blanks Illinois State Louisville 62 Austin P zero Maryland no problem with Yukon Navy all over Bucknell pit and Kent State in a wild game scoring 7 9 points Purdue no problem with the sycamores from miniana State 49 nothing Vanderbilt in overtime over vatch now that's a great matchup for vanderbel to start the season so vanderbel starts out with a quality opponent and maybe that will give them a little momentum in the SEC because you know the SEC is kind of like playing pro football but at the college level just like the big 10 Cincinnati 38020 Washington State without a conference or better yet without a bunch of teams to play with beat up Haas Portland State 70-30 they scored 100 points in that game that's crazy Air Force easy over marac app state 38 ETSU 10 IU over Florida International IA State over North Dakota in a closer game than one would matter one would actually think about Eastern Michigan on the road beats UMass they double them up 2814 NIU over West Illinois 5415 in the who cares game Nebraska 40 UTEP 7 no competition there Northwestern in a very closely contested Game Over Miami of Ohio 13-6 in Evanston Syracuse big over Ohio the Bobcats UTSA a very good squad struggles with Kennesaw State who knew Boise State 56 Georgia Southern 45 101 points in that game a wild game those are fun games to watch but then again the defense is not existent South Carolina over old Domino Kell over Davis Marshall over Stony the mean green of North Texas over South Alabama where they scored 90 points in that game as well by those games those high-scoring games are kind of fun East Carolina big over Northfolk Liberty wins M State 56 Eastern Kentucky seven they shouldn't even be allowed to play each other it's crazy UVA the wahoo 34 Richmond over the spiders 13 Oregon State without a conference for the most part 38- 15 over Idaho State Arkansas State and central Arkansas at a battle 3431 Baylor big over Tarlton UNLV somehow pulls off a win at Houston 277 Memphis 40 North Alabama 0 Middle Tennessee Sam Houston South Florida Nevada Auburn big 73 to3 over Alabama A&M UCLA bit of time talking about what happened in college football in the last week or so and of course we what do we have we have the rankings and we're going to start out the bottom kind of like the old David Letterman style but we're not going to do the top 10 we'll do the top 25 in reverse and we'll start out actually with those receiving votes that did not make the cut for the top 25 with Colorado and UNLV each getting a single vote from the vote givers Arkansas got a couple West Virginia gets a couple votes for the top 25 Kentucky and App State eventually they'll climb their way into the top 25 that seems to be what they do even Carolina did at 4 UTSA they may climb their way in as well they got a few votes Tain Auburn gets eight votes they'll find their way into the top 25 they certainly belong there Wisconsin Vanderbilt Vanderbilt now there's a real shocker folks Vanderbilt historically is not very good in football but they're pretty good in basketball it's almost like you got a struggle all season with football just to get to basketball that's how Purdue was for a number of years until Joe tiller showed up and changed the culture with Purdue football rest his rest his soul Joe Chiller was one hell of a coach came from the University of Wyoming prior too but he brought his Club the Purdue boiler makers yes of course they always get a round of applause to the Rose Bowl they got he gave Drew Brees a shot to play in the Rose Bowl against the University of Washington went to that game it was was a kind of a tough game especially when Washington had a couple of six5 tight ends you just geez you don't have the Defenders that are tall enough to defend against those guys anyway Liberty gets about a dozen votes Washington SMU we just mentioned Washington SMU at 20 nice to see them playing football again of course it's been a few years now but you know they have the death penalty for so long from that whole hersel Walker thing and Nebraska Memphis Iowa state boisey state Boston College and Texas T&M even though they got a loss against n Dame they end up getting 97 votes just missing out of the top 25 and the 25th going forward you have Clemson yes previously at 14th dropped all the way to 25 with that loss and a little bit of a shocker that they got destroyed by Georgia the way they did but then again it may not be such of a shocker NC State at number 24 they climb up into the top 25 cuz you they had those preseason rankings which really don't mean a lot but now the teams are actually playing Georgia Tech with a real nice win over Florida State and that is a 23rd ranked Georgia Tech Team Louisville jumps up into the top 25 as well at 22 Iowa with an easy win jump up four slots to 21 Arizona with their win drop jumps up four slots as well to number 20 Kansas with a win over cupcake city goes from 22 to to 19th LSU with that loss to USC drop all the way down to number 18 from number 13 Kansas State a very very solid Club go from 18 only to 17 because they didn't beat anybody Big Oak State goes from 17 to 16 same situation Oklahoma in the SEC now imagine that at number 15 Tennessee in the SEC of course at number 4 USC goes from 23rd to 13 with that nice win right here in Las Vegas against LSU you know in fact that was a very evenly matched game for the most part and USC was getting blown off the offensive line from LSU but LSU just I don't know they they mixed the ingredients wrong in the wrong order they had it they had SC but they couldn't put them away and SC came right back and stuck it right you know where and they come away with a 2720 win against LSU Miami jumps up seven slots with that real nice win in Gainesville yes they're now ranked 12th Utah blows out their opponent they drop 60 on their opponent go from 12 to 11 Michigan from 9 to 10 in their game imagine that get a win and you drop a spot Missouri jumps the LeapFrog Michigan from 11 to9 with their giant win Penn State moves up to number eight well no strike that Penn State stays the same at number eight it is what it is folks Old Miss with their gigantic win goes from six to oh yeah six as well Notre Dame goes from s to 5 with that win at College Station Alabama somehow goes up one move to four Texas goes up one slot to three Ohio State and Georgia stay the same at two and number one so we think about all those scores we say you know what we have games that are coming up again and when we think of the games now we actually have to think of the betting lines because it seems to me that the betting lines and the money the reason we're going through all this is because I believe the money is changing the landscape in college football in professional football in baseball basketball hockey the money and the gambling is changing a lot as I see it and I live right here in the gambling capital of the World Las Vegas that's where this show is from and I have to tell you the scene over here for games has been Amplified over and over and now with the betting going on through pick your favorite fantasy organization whatever whatever and all these betting apps across the country you could bet on games anywhere now before you used to have to come to Vegas to bet on the games or you'd have to go to Atlantic City but primarily people would go to Vegas and what people largely don't know is as I saw it or as I remember it the IRS code on this is you actually don't pay taxes on sports betting so people will spend gobs of money to bet on Sports you know tens of thousands of dollars hundred thousand million dollars I guess if you're professional boxers you can even bet on yourself as we saw here in town down at the m and that was an embarrassment to the boxing world but anyway that's why they have the boxing police if you know what I mean so nonetheless that whole organization should just be blown up I don't understand it how do they get away with betting on boxing when the boxers themselves are betting on or against themselves I'll never know that's why you have the boxing commissions from this place or that place or whatever the heck it is that's just one of the reasons anyway but I've never known another sport to actually have their own enforcement so they have the boxing commissions and they need to have that for football now because the betting is getting completely out of line and when I say out of line we think about how much money is going on this team and how many plays on the field are conveniently well we can't say conveniently how they appear to be compromised just so a team could beat the spread or not beat the point spread right because it always comes back to what to money that's what it sure looks like we see that all the time now I mean it it almost appears as though in the National Football League that they're cheating in plain sight even in the NBA of course they've been there's been record of fixing games for a long time in both football and basketball and baseball with the Umpire squeezing the pitchers now if you don't know what that means that means the pitchers the strike zone is getting a little bit smaller they're squeezing the strike zone why maybe there's a bet on the over and under the total points or the total run scored in baseball so the strike zone may get a little bit smaller if there is a bet on the point total going over the Vegas line that's travels down to the Dallas area to play SMU now one would think that SMU would be that 10 and a half 11o favorite that everybody seems to have him at but Brigham Young is no Cakewalk not really sure about that one seems like BYU would be having a little bit of fun with the money they make from the odds of that game I don't I don't see how SMU beats him by 11 points I just don't get it Indiana this game is off the board Indiana at and they're at home against Western Illinois Indiana should win by a 100 but you never know Western Illinois the leather necks there's a good trivia question for you that's their mascot it's a leatherneck anyway they are probably getting 300 points but I would probably take the points in that one Duke travels to Evon in the brainbow and it's which one is the bigger academic institution I'm going to say it's Duke over Northwestern Duke is also getting three points at Northwestern remember Northwestern just struggled in their last game over I think it was Miami of Ohio if I'm not mistaken nonetheless take Duke and the three Georgia Tech with a nice win in their last week they have a nice road trip up to Syracuse and Syracuse is actually plus three at home in the orange Dome Georgia Tech is a road favorite for the first time in a long long time against a formidable opponent something tells me there's something stinky in Happyville I'm taking Syracuse with the three Kansas State a very good Kansas State team is minus 10 at two lane the only thing that's going to stop Kansas state from winning is a hurricane rumbling through Louisiana Kansas State rolls in that game Bowling Green travels to Happy Valley and Bowling Green a lofty 342 Point Underdog at Penn State Penn State by 50 Troy travels to Memphis yes the ranked Memphis Tigers that is the men of Troy are getting 19 points that's too many for Troy I'm taking Troy with the 19 points all day pit travels to Cincinnati and that's always a good game between those two and you know the home field advantage is really worth three points for all you people that don't know Cincinnati is minus to consensus to and Pittsburgh a very very stable Pittsburgh Squad year in and year out I don't know kind of like Pittsburgh with the two and two two and a half points that looks pretty good akan the Zips that's one of my favorite ones yeah the Zips in fact some casinos and online betting forms actually have this one on the board many of them have them off the board in fact the on the board is 23 is the consensus ruter meanwhile back at the ranch they have a minus 22 and a half line with them imagine that some places have it at 23 and ruter at a home in certain casinos have it at 22 I'm taking Ruckers minus the points Ruckers is a very well improved team Army visits Florida Atlantic Army is getting four points at Florida Atlantic FAU is probably going to come back with a nice win over their last loss in fact one place actually the Hard Rock actually has it at three I'll take I'll lay the three everybody else seems to have it at four whether it's Caesar's Palace or this one or that one or B MGM they've got it at four I'll go over to Hard Rock and bet at minus three and take Florida Atlantic I'll lay the field goal Texas in a very very interesting matchup is getting seven and a half across the board against Michigan up in Ann Arbor now I find this one interesting because Michigan with a a handily win over Fresno State a very good Fresno State team by the way Texas comes in a little bit overrated how the hell is Texas laying seven and a half to Michigan at Michigan sorry I'm taking Michigan plus the 7 and a half in the big house when was the last time michigan was a road dog by a touch or better yet a home dog by a touchdown or more I don't ever recall seeing it at this point it's Michigan plus 7 a half bet the farm Arkansas visits Oklahoma State Oklahoma state is minus 7 a half at most cinos and others they're minus8 against Arkansas I like the points with Arkansas there's a you never know what you're going to get out of there Minnesota hosting Rhode Island everybody's got that one off the board as it should be Minnesota by 300 miramac visits Yukon watch out there may be an upset there but that one's off the board too MCN travels to College Station just to get beat up by the Texas A&M maggies that's going to be ugly Missouri State visits Ball State off the board Ball State big Tennessee Tech in Georgia Tennessee Tech Lookout you may lose by 500 St Francis visits Ken State another one off the board I don't understand how Utah Tech is off the board at UNLV Utah Tech could actually get themselves a win at UNLV you never know Cal the Golden Bear visit Auburn and you know Auburn has had their struggles with non-conference opponents Auburn is minus33 I have to believe that Auburn's going to win this game by 17 but I don't know which Auburn team is going to show up is Mr Freeze going to make sure they freeze out Cal I don't know that is the problem remember Cal is now a member of the ACC so this is an ACC SEC game how C is in the ACC I'll never know along with Stanford never understand it but anyway this is an ACC SEC matchup there's a little bit of Pride showing that Cal belongs I don't know I'm inclined to take Cal with the 13 and a half Auburn I think is going to win the game but Cal is going to show up in that game Jacksonville State after an abysmal loss travels to Louisville and they're getting 28 and a half Louisville by 38 A2 Temple visits Navy Temple will lose big at Navy Baylor travels to Utah in a very good game that should be a very close game I would take Baylor with the 14 South Carolina travels to Kentucky South Carolina Kentucky always a good game 10 points is too many points Charlotte whatever these two teams play boy it is a tough game and 1919 a 12 points according to mgm's got him at 19 A2 boy that's a lot of points and yeah Oregon is a good squad but this is a border War I don't know I mean 19 and a half for Boise State who is a quality organization every year they field a very good squad maybe it might be a 20po lead late in the game Boise State at least will get a garbage time touchdown I think Boise State covers that should be one of the safer bets of the year and anyway Texas Tech the Red Raiders travel to wazo and they're over in Pullman going to play the Washington State Cougar and I think Texas Tech may get couged because Washington state is fighting for credibility seems like the last two remaining members of the Pack 12 now they're the Pack 2 Washington State and Oregon State they may migrate either to I my best guess is they're going to migrate to the Mountain West because geographically they're a great fit but if they do join the rest of the others in the Big 12 that may also be a good fit but geographically I I just think that the mount West is a better fit and they're both academic not superpowers if you know what I mean but Washington State should get this easy win against Texas Tech Fresno State's off the board they should destroy sack State Arizona State's off the board Against The Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona Liberty travels over to New Mexico and I think that's l crues if I'm not mistaken and Liberty is a 212 Point favorite on the road they probably should be a 30p point favorite Oregon State the aformentioned Oregon State travels to San Diego State to play the Aztecs and they are a Sixpoint favorite on the road down in San Diego look for Oregon State to get a nice Victory there the Bulldogs of mstate travel to temp to play Arizona State the Bulldogs are plus 6 and A2 they're going to need all six and a half of those to compete in that game SC with a very underrated game against Utah State let me tell you something folks that Utah State Defense is no joke they're getting 28 and a half look for Utah State to cover in that game of course a nice round of applause for those odds and think about college football yeah we did that for the last few how about Major League Baseball races are heating up penet races are going on right now New York Yankees somehow are a half a game in front of the Baltimore Orioles somehow but they're again somehow playing 22 games over 500 the Orioles are actually underachieving right now that's how I see it I mean both teams are are almost mirror images of one another as far as productivity and if you look across the board from runs scored runs against differential differential leans towards the Yankees obviously but I'm wondering the expected one loss record based on runs scored and runs allowed it's very very tight I mean these two teams you could flip a coin and the winner would be heads or tails at this point very close away and on the road and the Orioles get Cakewalk City they get to play the white socks whereas the Yankees have to go to Texas in their next series so by the end of those games the Orioles should be back in first place the Red Sox have faded they're done over in the American League Central it's the guard Guardians stretching it back out to three and a half I I still have a hard time calling them the Guardians I always known them as the Indians nonetheless it is the Guardians three and a half up I've got them in the World Series against Arizona I've been saying it all year I could be wrong these are two long shots but that's just how I do it Minnesota a very good squad 13 over in Second Place Kansas City again a very good squad at 11 over at four and a half back both those teams should be playoff teams Detroit has faded their out even though they are one game over meanwhile back of the ranch the white socks are 77 games under 500 that's crazy how about this the one differential they're minus 301 yeah minus 301 that's how much of the runs they have scored less than their opponents this is a bad Squad seriously folks they're bad it's my home team and I I pull for them and boy it's tough over in the American League West I'm getting sidetracked here it's the Astros opening it up against the Seattle Mariners who were once close now they're playing 500 ball Astros are six over the Seattle Mariners and they got themselves an easy win and look at the Texas Rangers the world champion Texas Rangers playing eight games under 500 how embarrassing is that I'll never know then you've got the Oakland A and the angels in last place at 23 under 500 yeah Ron Washington you're doing a great job over there over the national league it's the Phillies stretching it out over the Braves they's seven over but the Braves right now are in position for a playoff spot the New York Mets seem to be coming on they're only half game out of the wild card and they are playing 10 games over 500 as well the gats are out the Marlins are way out over in the NL Central it's the Brew 10 games over the Cubs 81 and 57 Cubs are only four games over 500 Cardinals right behind them at 500 the Reds they're out of it Pirates are out of it over in the west we had saw we have seen recently there was a a late charge by the Padres now the Padre's and the Diamondbacks are both five games and six games back the Dodgers opened it up to five games now and you know we think about these teams that are really fighting it out we go to this wild card race and we ask ourselves what are the teams in the National League that really stand the best chance look the Padre's and Diamondbacks are both in Wild Card position along with the Atlanta Braves however the New York Mets could flip-flop with the Braves if the Braves falter a little bit and the Braves been playing with a very injured Club I mean they've got a lot of guys that are out even the best player in baseball Ronald aunia Jr is out for the entire year he has been all year ever since he blew out his knee I remember watching that on TV rounding second turning back and well guess what he tweaked his knee and that was the end of that but you have to ask yourself can the Cubs make a run they're three and a half back can they keep Pace now the Cubs have a three-game set home against Pittsburgh the Mets home against Boston Atlanta home against Colorado now it would seem that Atlanta would do well against Colorado the Mets may have their hands full with Boston because that Boston New York rivalry doesn't matter whether it's American American League or national league and the Cubs have a division matchup with Paul skes and the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pirates have done very well historically at Wrigley Field so don't be surprised if the Pirates take two out of three and knock the Cubs right out of wild card contention that's how this one could play out and then you think about the Cardinals they're at M the Cardinals at this point if they don't do well in this series they're done they're already sitting five and a half back of the Atlanta Braves for that last spot and that's where it cuts off because the Giants are done the Reds Pirates gnats Marlins and rocks are all done too over in the American League wild card you have the Orioles of course they're going to flip-flop with the New York Yankees and of course you have the twins the orol will locked in the twins are a game back of the actually strike that the twins are a game up in the wild card over Kansas City so you have three teams from the American League Central that are in the playoff picture if it started today it would be of course Cleveland Minnesota Kansas City and frankly those are the teams that belong there they really are the Red Sox are four and a half games back of the Kansas City Royals for that last playoff spot that would be that wild card spot and the tigers are five back the Mariners are five and a half the Mariners the only way they're going to get in is somehow they're going have to go head-to-head because they're going to have multiable games with Houston they're going to have to beat Houston Tampa they're done Toronto they're done Texas the Texas Rangers I I don't understand what happened to those guys a loaded Squad yeah you can say well we had injuries and this and that but guess what if you're just a handful of games above the Oakland A's and the Oakland A's with all due respect they've actually played pretty damn good ball we're going to give them a round of applause soon to be the Sacramento A's and the reason they're moving to Sac before Las Vegas is because they have a contract a TV contract and they have to stay within the San Francisco Bay area zone right you've heard of TMZ TMZ stands for 30 mile Zone you've seen that program on television well there is a TV coverage market for major networks and you've got to stay within I believe it's a 100 miles of the network base that you're trying to reach into I'm not really sure the exact terms but I know that Sacramento is within the the television market for Oakland and the reason it's significant is because they would lose a lot of sponsor dollars that'd be the A's and they wouldn't be able a televis in the Oakland Market if they came down and play here in Las Vegas so therefore they have to stay within reason so they're going to share the AAA facility with the Sacramento rivercats which are the Giants triaa team and the Oakland A's the big Club is going to play in that stadium in the same light when the Toronto Blue Jays during the planemic time they shared the facility with the buffalo bison triaa squad over there for the uh Toronto Blue Jays so therefore you'll see a big league squad for two to three years in a minor league ballpark now the A's weren't really drawing that much anyway so Revenue Wise It's not really going to hurt them anyway folks that's the way the baseball rolls and just remember bet either dirt or grass when the catcher throws it in off strike three and the change of innings that is a regular bet in the stands folks been going on for 100 Years anyway folks that's going to do it for the
