IT'S GETTING WORSE FOR THATCHER DEMKO… VANCOUVER CANUCKS NEWS

ruining my mood for maybe until the rest of the offseason until the start of the regular season because not only have we had some extended updates as to whom it is the Vancouver Canucks are targeting but we also got the big old question the big fat wh why why it is the Vancouver Canucks are going out there and targeting the guys that they are targeting we're going over two Thatcher Demko tweets made by Rick Dolly wall over the past 2 days starting out with this one from earlier this afternoon multiple sources say Thatcher Demco won't be ready for training camp and preseason games the club is hopeful he'll be ready for the regular season opener but even that seems to be in question at this late stage of the summer oh boy yeah whoop ddoo I thought that the injury bug for the Vancouver canox lived and died with Willie de jardan I had no idea that it had gotten to this point now where Thatcher Demco after proably being potentially available for the Vancouver Canucks had they made the third round in the 2024 Stanley Cup play playoffs will now potentially not even be able to suit up for the regular season at the beginning of October there's no way he would have been able to play had the Canucks faced off against the Dallas Stars in the third round right hell no we're hearing these reports you know it was already talked about a few days ago that there was a questionable element to his status as a potential option but now it's like hey he might not even be available for the start of the Season not even the breeze season it's already kind of floating around there he won't be ready for training camp he won't be ready for pre-season games Thatcher Demco what kind of demonic presence did you sell your soul to to have this ultimately be the outcome I feel like now we're never going to see that rmco suit up in a Vancouver connect uniform until the start of 2025 it feels that bad because how many times have you heard oh a guy will be ready for the start a training camp a guy will be available and he'll be able to play and he'll do this and he'll do that until everything starts to come together and it's like okay training C is next week he's still not healthy okay maybe pre-season okay we just wait till preseason and then preseason comes he's still not available and it's like okay uh middle of October November December and then all of a sudden it's February and the guy's just getting back into things like look dude that Demco might be the most unlucky top tier goendale from azna Calibur go to only playing one game in the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs losing the rest of his playoff run potentially being available in the third round but nope just kidding the team didn't go that far and now it's the middle end of August and he's still hurt and will potentially be hurt to start out the 2024 regular season arter seov buckle up baby come on Arty let's go party because this responsibility is not going to go away anytime soon our tur SE loves was pretty good in the playoff run that he had had it looks like that's going to carry over into the regular season 2 and the Canucks are going to have to get themselves another goalie right they can't go into the regular season with covs and Yi Patera as they're one two Kevin Lanen they're apparently targeting some other guys and this is where Rick Dolly Wall's other tweet goes out there and gives us the scoop this was from yesterday the Canucks are looking for a goalie it appears that Kevin Lanken and is their target he had two very strong Seasons with the Nashville Predators and made 2 million bucks last year the conu salary cap situation will likely make this very difficult to pull off now Kevin lanen and is a name that I'm pretty sure most of y'all are familiar with we've heard his name here and there over the years conu are targeting him now with thater Demco out and for Lankin in last playing for the Nashville Predators he was a fairly good goenda save percentage in the most recent season to 916 the year before that his Chicago days were really me but we're going to forget about those because Kevin lanolin playing behind an actually good defensive core was able to do some pretty good things the 282 goals against in th most recent season was awesome and then the even better numbers he had in 2223 also great to see there lanolin is 30 no 29 years old excuse me so he is kind of right in that smack dab Prime area of his career will probably never be like a full-time starter but as a backup guy who can hone in the crease once in a while he certainly is a pretty notable option he's a free agent right now so the Vancouver canu will probably have to Shell out some extra bucks to convince him to join their team or maybe not maybe they go for a little bit of a cheaper rout because it's like hey you're still a free agent it's August you haven't been signed we got a spot you want to fill it in here's a 1 point something million deal just because it's the end of the off season and you kind of want a job right maybe that's the conversation that goes down and then once thatr Demco comes back if he ever does come back the Canucks find a way to either offload Kevin lanolin's deal or they send him down or whatever maybe it's a two-way contract who really knows I don't know there are options here right I mean even if it is a one-way deal Kevin lanolin gets paid x amount of dollars whether he's in the NHL or the AHL the important thing here for Vancouver is that they get their guy they get the goal tender to fill in that spot in the roster because covs and Peta as a Duo just does not seem all too fitting and you know what thinking about this now thinking about how the Vancouver connects are going to go out there and potentially sign a guy like Kevin Lenin it makes that Vil pod Ken trade a lot more interesting because hey pod klen was making a fairly decent amount of money on the Canucks payroll 1 million bucks on a one-way deal so this was a guy whose Money Getting freed up for a draft pick actually helps the Canucks very very much and even if it is worst case scenario the conects don't have enough money to sign themselves a guy well they still do have Tucker Pullman's contract on the ltir that is an available option to them so you know I kind of trust the guys up top I trust Emily Caston I trust Alvine to be able to get things done properly and allow this team to continue into 2425 with as little problems as possible obviously Demco this is a really big problem but what are you going to do the Canucks have been dealing with this since June
