SCARY Demko Injury Update...Friedman Reveals ALARMING Canucks Update | Canucks News

Intro La Freeman speaks on some alarming thater Demco developments on the newest episode of 32 thoughts and Keith for Sherwood speaks out on his arrival in Vancouver as well as his Impressions on how the Canucks look heading into this season we'll be breaking down all that in this episode if Canucks digest first make sure to hit that subscribe button and click the Bell icon see Miss annual updates R the Canucks as we head into the preseason with that let's hop into the first topic of the day which is Friedman Drops ALARMING Demko Update Freeman drops Demco update we saw here from the 32 thoughts podcast with the first sound bite from La Freeman we have a few quotes we're going to get to First of which being on Demco in general saying I believe that Canucks told Demco last year before the playoffs look we need to know we can count on you in the postseason you have to play two games before the playoffs that forced Demco to rush to come back I'm not convinced that he was ever 100% And this kind of goes along with some reports that were coming out saying that the Canucks did in fact Rush Demco back and had this in as timeline in mind of what games he was to play before the postseason and to have him playing in the postseason he did meet that that that timeline and those deadlines sorry where he was able to play those postseason games and those games to close out the regular season but that did result in him disappearing from the playoffs after that game in Nashville and it was the r party from then on but now we have drama surrounding both goalies heading into this season and one of them being a large part into how the Canucks seem to have overworked and overestimated the timelines on what these goalies could have been as far as the recovery process especially when looking at thater Demco in particular this was a season where he was playing in games where he maybe should not have been playing or wasn't 100% healthy to come back at different points in the season not just at the end of the season he was battling an injury throughout the entire season and has throw his entire tenure in Vancouver really he's always been hurt it's always seems to be a problem with him and hopefully this is something that after this season after this injury it's nothing but hopefully greener pastures as far as injuries are concerned we don't want to have to keep going through this SE season in and season out where Demco is constantly on the injured list or just on the speculation list or just all this rumors coming out around his injury of what that injury could be we saw some that said it was an ACL we saw some that said it was a groin we saw some that said he had a procedure something that said he didn't that kind of goes into the second report that Elliot had where he's going to have to learn how to play this with this it's not something that can be fixed with surgery is something he's going to have to go to learn to play through and that he can play through at a high level and like I said before how there was rumors that he did have a surgery done in the offseason but even if he did is that enough that is going to fix this injury completely where he's going to be able to come back 100% or 110% even stronger than he was before after the surgery where it seems like no matter what with this surgery it seems like it just was not going to be the thing that's going to solve it completely it's going to be time it's going to be rehab it's going to be other things that aren't just a surgery or a b or a mechanical part that you can just add to somebody and make them the Bicentennial Man to the point where they are just the perfect machine and they're not going to have any injuries or faults after that but again with this Dem code injury it seems like it's more significant or even in some cases like some are reporting very rare that we have seen an injury like this and it can come along maybe once every 50 years so if it's one of those freak injuries it's not a surpris that surgery might not be the solution with it on top of just other things that can go with it if it is this rare type of injury and as far as his timeline Freeman did touch on his timeline saying right now I don't know that he's going to be ready for the start of this season but I don't get the sense that the Canucks are worried he's going to be out for half the year and half the year is something that I don't think anybody has heard at this point until now and when we're looking at half the year that's a pretty significant amount of time and that's a lot of games that Archer sheils potentially Yuri Peta will have to play or a PTO if we bring one in like Martin Jones or aunti or anti rat those are going to be have to be a lot of games those guys are going to have to play without your vzna caliber goalie between the pipes to bring this season to a full steam ahead where we aren't going to have to just die out towards the end of this regular season or go through too blow to too much steam in the regular season at the beginning we want to just sustain it throughout the entire season with a lot of consistency like the best teams can do and if we don't have Demco for that that's going to be a large blow towards going through that if we don't have Demco for that and we have to rely on these guys it's going to be revolving door she loves is going to get overworked it's going to happen because like we leaned on him in the postseason he played almost every game in the postseason after he made that start and with the other things considered with Dem CO's injury history are the Canucks in danger of doing that wish shilov should they find themselves in a situation like that where Demco misses a quarter of the Season or maybe even half and you have shoves playing so many of these games potentially 30 out of the 41 games to start the year that's going to be very concerning for the Canucks going forward if Demco does come back and he's stronger than ever that's amazing and he can just close out the season just play those 41 games but if you're relying on shilov for that first half he's going to get overworked and on the games where he's gonna have to step in for Demco he's still going to be recovering and still going to be just recuperating from that just overworking that he had in the first half of the season but let us know what you guys think down below do you think shoves will get overworked if Demco isn't ready to come back until halfway through the season when do you guys think Demco could be coming back what do you guys think the injury is in general we haven't gotten a straight answer on what this answer of what this injury is Jim has been kind of teasing at it letting us know that he's going to let us know soon once physicals happen but what do you guys think down below let us know what you think this injury is and when you think de Co will be back Kiefer Sherwood Training Camp Quotes but that going to take us into the second topic of the day which is Sherwood Camp quotes and yes training camp is underway we saw in the scrimmage here with the blue and the white squads all the players being able to get there with the omission of that Demco of course because he is injured and Quinn Hughes not there but the first the player that we're going to cover today and their training camp quotes is kefir Sherwood who we just brought in from Nashville he was a major Thor in our hip last season and when talking about joining Vancouver he says when they came calling you know maybe it was a little bit of surprise at first just being so ingrained to hating them from Nashville of course but when you look at it from afar and do your research it's like I said there's a lot of stuff that's pointing in the right direction and I'm just excited to be a part of it and put my head down and get to work and when you look at his stats as well he had a pretty good run in Nashville last season 68 games 10 goals 11 or 17 assists for 27 points he had a plus 17 rating 41 penalty minutes but the thing you got to look at as well is his hits he was number 14 in hits last season with 234 this guy was a wrecking ball and now that Vancouver has two guys on their team that were in the top 15 in hits last season this is going to be great towards establishing a physical identity for this team and something that they're going to be able to utilize going forward where they're going to have guys being wrecking balls and especially in the like like Mark said in our last video where if you're a guy that's on the ice and you're stuck in between those line transitions for the Canucks where Dakota Joshua's coming off the ice he for sure was coming right on right afterwards you're going to get pummeled you're going to get punished and you're going to wish you had gotten off the ice because these guys are going to make you pay and they're going to be physical they're going to rough you up they're going to ruffle feathers and they're going to also be able to score points so when they're not a physical threat they're also a goal scoring threat where they're going to create opportunities for the other guys or they're just going to take the pucks themselves to the house and they're going to put it behind the net that's going to be awesome to see where Sherwood and Joshua are just going to wreak havoc on opposing lines mind you but they're going to be catching guys in transition and being able to ruffle some feathers in between those transitions that's going to be amazing to see the second quote of which that Sherwood jumped into this is going to be a long one where you can pause it if you want to take a look look if you don't want to hear me read it but when he looks at the pace and the competitiveness going into this training camp I think it's a hungry group that's a good sign especially with a little taste last year you get a little taste of that and being so close then you see the other team Edmonton that went as far as they did so obviously the team there's a lot of good build there's a lot of good to build on like I said just the eagerness to start camp and get going I mean there's a lot a lot of high-end guys here the team can hurt you in a lot of different ways and I think a lot of guys really had good years last year you know I looked at just just different things the group has a lot of difference makers so I'll just try to fit in and just be that hard be hard to play against whether that's putting it in the net or wearing other guys down I think that's a lot of good stuff starting here and that's kind of like what we just said where he's going to wear guys down physically or he's going to put the puck in the back of the net himself he's going to be able to do it both ways he is that two-way kind of forward where he's very physical also can make things happen and it's great to see where he did touch on a lot of things he gave guys their flowers from last year where guys had career years last year and Vancouver was able to take Edmonton to the deep water and he kind of is seeming to hint there that Vancouver almost got better Edmonton got worse so if they can get as far as they went against Edmonton last year who's to say they don't get over that hump this year get that monkey off their back knock Edmonton off of that Pacific Crown and the western crown and take it for ourselves bring the orcas to the Stanley Cup Final or at least the Western Conference Final pass the Edmonson coilers but that's going to be awesome to see especially when Sherwood is at the helm with this physical team where he is going to be physical with Joshua these guys are going to be the two most physical guys on the team hands down and they're not even on defense so as far as a physical standpoint with him and Joshua at the helm I think Vancouver is going to be a bit more different going into this postseason where if sure was a thorn in Vancouver's hip in that first series in Nashville who's to say he's not going to just do the same thing to other teams not just in the playoffs but also throughout the entire season and just be a wrecking ball let us know what you guys think down below as far which sherwoods fit is in Vancouver how do you guys think he's going to do this season do you think him and Joshua might be on Just Like A bash Brothers line at one point with someone in the m in the center like sudor or Bluer let us know what you guys think down below but that's going to take us into our third Comment of the Day topic of the day which is
