Georgia Tech Drops Depth Chart for Ireland Game and there are some things that surprise me.

to I know it released earlier today the dep tart has released for Georgia Tech and Brink key had a press conference now uh maybe I'll react to that press conference I'm not sure but it was an absolute disaster from a production standpoint so they do it they do like a premiere for it or they do it live and the audio doesn't work at all so all you see is Brink key going um I don't know how a technology School screws some of that up so bad but whatever one big piece of news that's come out is that Brett Scyther starting tight end for Georgia Tech is out for the season I believe with a knee injury which is pretty devastating now I'll talk about who's going to be stepping up to replace him when we look at the depth chart if you listen to the Colin show evidently Jamal Haynes has been walking around with a boot on his leg um maybe something happened during a scrimmage or during you know summer practice or um practice leading up to this week I think we're okay there though I do think he's going to be available be 100% for um for Florida State but if he's not you know that's a big that's a big loss for Georgia Tech so let's look at this depth chart there are some surprises here and it starts at left tackle so Cory Robinson listed as a starter 305 lbs Reg Jr and then you have Jordan Brown who's a transfer from Charlotte um he was on the roster at Tech last year transfer from Charlotte the previous year kid we haven't really heard a ton about um the backup is listed as either him or Ethan McKenna now we've talked about Ethan mckenny a lot on the channel true freshman or a freshman All-American last year he was a true freshman last year kind of surprising for me to see him not get the start um I would have to assume that means Cory Robinson has just kind of played out of his mind we talked about it on the live show I want to say he missed a block um that ended up in Hanes King getting sacked later in the Louisville game and that was kind of the Genesis of Ethan McKenna he was put in after that and I think he retained the starting role from that moment on let me know if I'm wrong about that in the comments I'm wrong uh you know about a lot of different things but yeah kind of a surprise there at left tackle I would think if Ethan mcken wasn't starting at left tackle they would have maybe moved him around somewhere else but no surprise at left guard you Joe fusile backed up by Harrison Moore now Harrison Moore I do believe came from the same school as um the quarterback we got out of South Lake Texas so we got Aaron Pho and Graham nolles pretty sure Harrison Moore came from the same high school as Graham nolles little bit light at 290 uh he is a true freshman though but he'll be back in up Joe fusel at left guard at Center again no surprise senior Weston Franklin he'll be the centerpiece of the offensive line over there in Ireland and then uh toola I think that's how you say his name I'm sorry like someone that knows him as listening um don't judge me but anyways no surprise of Weston Franklin Right Guard kelen rutage talked about him being in a car wreck some months ago all reports are that he's 100% listed as the the starter this is um the guy that's coming in to replace scaglione from last year um All Conference USA Right Guard a kid that I'm pretty sure both Auburn and Clemson wanted I'm not so sure about Auburn I know Clemson definitely wanted him we were able to get him no it wasn't out of the portal it must have been Auburn I totally forgot Dabo has a self-imposed sanction where he doesn't use the portal never mind I'm the dummy on that one then you got Brandon Bess keep a watch out for Jameson rigs would not surprise me to see him get in he I know for sure is the kid that Auburn and Clemson were going after hard he's uh from hyam Georgia just a little bit up the road from Wreck in Smyrna um would not surprise me to see him rotated in a little bit very very talented kid 310 6'6 is a true freshman playing Right Guard um love to see it um Jordan Williams uh the other senior on this offensive line um started I believe every game last year proven Guy game ready guy 66 315 um should have no issues there now we talked about Brett Cedar um with the season ending injury Avery Boyd was a wide receiver last year I think he played slot he has transitioned from last year to this year to the tight end room and I you guys need to watch out for number nine in this game the people that I see talking about this kid are extra extraordinarily high on him if you remember him from last year I think he caught that drag or dig route against North Carolina for a score or it might have been Bowling Green I'm not sure big kid look 63 240 built like a tight end anyways key praised him in the Press confer conference for his blocking think he could be a breakout player in this game uh now it's either going to be him or listed as Jackson Halls another kid ke's been very high on or Luke harp in Luke Haring is the true freshman out of meist his father obviously was a phenomenal basketball player for Georgia Tech played in the NBA for a long long long time another kid we've heard a lot of good things about I think even with the loss of Brett Cedar Avery boy Jackson Halls Luke harpring um I think we're going to be okay with those guys um it is a little surprising to see Ryland go at the bottom here he's a kid that also uh played at Georgia now he ended up trans in Mississippi State before he came to Georgia Tech is a little surprising for me to see him near the bottom of the depth chart there now we get into the wide receivers no surprise here now I I don't like how Georgia Tech does not list like XY Z receivers whatever maybe they're listed in that order first one's obviously the slot Malik Rutherford and then backing him up as true freshman bayy Stockon kid that has a lot of speed as well would not surprise me to see him in the game but Malik gets the start Malik really fil has filled the role for us for what Nate McCullum was really solid wide receiver talented wide receiver Chase Lane getting the start back uh at the uh one of the outside wide receivers being back backed up by Leo Blackburn now Chase Lane obviously fought injury all last year he's a red shirt senior so this will be his last year remember he led us in receptions last year you probably don't have Eric Singleton junor is a freshman All-American if Chase Lane isn't nursing injuries and gets a lot more opportunity talented guy there a guy that came with Hanes King from Texas A&M I've if you've listened to me for any length of time you you've listened to me talk about Leo Blackburn all I got to do is read just as height and weight 6'5 220 lbs red shirt Jr nothing would make me happier than to win this game on the hands of Leo Blackburn he's a phenomenally talented kid um also have Abdul Jan listed there so again no surprise Eric Singleton Jr freshman All-American on the other SI backed up by Christian lery so you got two guys in that spot both track stars I just got through doing something with college football Mafia I was praising this kid I said hey I asked him I think I said you run a 10500 meter when I was at Fan day he said No 102 get it right wck if you're going to State someone's 100 meter time why don't you get it right when you're talking to Christian lry one time and that's a bottom line because rect talk said so my impressions are topnotch guys they are rough on my voice though uh now we just talked about Jamal Haynes I do think he's going to be ready for the game though reportedly possibly nursing some sort of injury backed up by Trey kulie so I'm guessing they're definitely your ones and twos though in the press conference Brink key did say behind Jamal hannes it's open between [ __ ] Cary and uh Chad Alexander um surprising here we don't see Evan Dickens listed uh he's a guy they've been high on in the past and got a good amount of snaps in the spring I don't know if he's injured maybe remind me if he said that in the press conference but I am surprised to see um Alexander listed here and not Evan Dickens nothing to talk about here obviously HS King is going to be the starter um red shirt Jr a lot whether we win this game or not is going to depend a lot on how Hayes King plays but um he's got a phenomenal I we might have the best onew pair like if you averaged our start our starter and backup starting and backup quarterback I think they're as talented as anybody defensive end thank God we get sanjuan back bigger faster stronger at the end at the bigger defensive end knows big Zeke Biggers he's going to be a a uh the other piece to me got to watch out for as far as how this game turns out can Zeke Biggers really make his presence known in the middle of that defensive front uh backed up by Jordan Vandenberg and Jason Moore obviously Vandenberg the guy from Penn State and I forgot to look at the backups on syvan anduin below syvan anduin Josh Robinson met his mom at F very very nice lady Josh Robinson very talented player so um look on the defensive front there's going to be a ton of rotating in Josh Robinson's going to get a lot of snaps I'm sure Jordan Boyd he's put on some weight uh 63 260 uh true freshman a guy that I did we get him from Auburn not sure I know we recruited him um watch out for those guys anyways at the rush end the faster defensive end we got romelo height and Kevin Harris splitting the snap so we've heard a lot of good things about romelo height Kevin Harris a game tested Surefire in then you got the younger guys in Jacob Cruz and the guy we got uh in the recruiting cycle that Colorado we flipped from Colorado a montre Bradford believe it's from bullet County at States for uh Statesboro Georgia and I missed the tackle um mcka Scott Horus Lockett and Thomas Gore so mcka Scott been here forever a senior Horus Lockett been here not necessarily forever he's a red shirt sophomore but has got a ton of snaps in the white and gold and then Thomas Gore the kid that played really well at Georgia State transferred to Miami and and is now at Georgia Tech linebacker Kyle eord led the team in tackles last year best piece of that of of the non-defensive line on our team looks like he's backed up by EJ lightley now this is not me crapping on anybody does surprise me does S surprise me to see trenius Tatum here I do think he's meshing very very well with santui system guy that has struggled some um looks like he's put on some weight 62 225 senior um but look love to see it trilo Tatum starting with Kyle eord at linebacker Taj uh I'm I never say his name right so I'm just going to say Butler kids a true freshman I think the guy we got from Louisiana big 61230 can move he's gonna get a lot of snaps too so look look at linebacker both lightley and Butler are going to get a lot of snaps um backing up Tatum and efford so watch out for all of them nickel we got Omar Daniels or Rodney Shelly listed both guys that have a good number of snaps um s Gibbs the guy who transferred in from Rhode Island that as after the after swarm guys said um Montega got Hardware coming in and probably the most Sure Fire uh solid piece of your defense these two safeties Clayton pal Lee backed up by Jaden Davis and L miles Brooks backed up by T Seymour want to say Jaden Davis transferred from ciny and Tay Seymour from Illinois could be wrong on that but not worried about us at safety at the right cornerback Amari Harvey dude's a beast on ncaa2 dude was really a beast last year he'll be I'm guessing replacing miles Sims that graduated last year red Shir Jr uh actually Zachary Toby's the kid who transferred from Illinois don't listen to me on any of this I'm just an idiot on the internet on the other side we got Warren Buel the guy that transferred in from Tennessee ton of stamps under his belt we'll have to see how he's meshing with santui system and then Nehemiah Chandler another guy that I've actually heard really really good things about he's a true freshman wouldn't surprise me to see him get a good amount of snaps either now Place kicker Aiden beer look the kid can kick it from like 65 yards won the starting job Stewart transfers out James uh weighty I'm guessing uh I I don't know if he's a walk- on or not anyways um punter David Shanahan this will be fun for David Shanahan in Ireland um I want to say he's from Castleberry Ireland that's how you know you're a true Georgia Tech fan when you know what city in Ireland your Irish punter is from and then long sniping Henry frier isn't he getting a doctorate degree at Georgia Tech shout out to that kid what a beast on the football field and in the classroom so lot of this to be expected obviously some surprises I said um surprising but love to see tranas Tatum starting at linebacker Ethan McKenna not getting the start at left tackle a little bit surprising of surprises me to see Blackburn not listed as a starter either surprising to see Evan Dickinson not listed at running back and what else kind of caught my eye here I think that's it uh so guys let me know what you think
