KEN PAXTON'S OFFICE SAYS THEY ARE HAPPENING IN RESPONSE TO REPORTS THAT SOME ORGANIZATIONS AND TEXAS MAY BE UNLAWFULLY REGISTERING NONCITIZENS TO VOTE OR ENGAGING IN BALLOT HARVESTING. THE LEAGUE OF LATIN AMERICAN UNITED CITIZENS SENT A LETTER ASKING FOR AN INVESTIGATION SAYING IT IS A SERIOUS VIOLATION OF LATINO CITIZENS RIGHTS. WE ARE FOLLOWING ALL OF THIS FROM SAN ANTONIO. THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT IS CONFIRMING THEY'VE RECEIVED THE LETTER BUT WHAT ARE THEY ACCUSING THE AG ELF? >> PARTIALLY WHAT YOU HAVE MENTIONED. LULAC SAYS THIS IS VOTER SUPPRESSION AND THEY ARE TRYING TO DO THIS VERY CLOSE TO AN ELECTION THAT WILL BE COMING UP IN NOVEMBER. MEMBERS HAVE SAID SPECIFICALLY THEY THINK IT IS LITERALLY TIED TO ONE HOUSE RACE SEAT IN THE STATE OF TEXAS THAT STARTS IN SAN ANTONIO. IT STRETCHES RIGHT DOWN RIGHT NOW. LULAC THINKS THIS IS POLITICALLY MOTIVATED AND AIMED AT THEM IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION THEY SAY IS VASTLY IMPORTANT. >> WHAT ARE WE HEARING FROM THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE? >> HONESTLY, NOT MUCH. WE HAVE REACHED OUT TO ATTORNEY GENERAL'S PACK ATTORNEY GENERAL PAXTON'S OFFICE AND WE'VE GOTTEN THE SEARCH WARRANTS. WE INTERVIEWED ONE WOMAN LAST NIGHT WHO WAS 87 YEARS OLD THEY HANDED HER THE SEARCH WARRANT AND ANOTHER SEARCH WARRANT FROM ANOTHER COUNTY NEARBY. THE INVESTIGATIVE UNIT THAT THEY SAY IS THE VOTER INTEGRITY UNIT IS LOOKING BASED ON INTERVIEWS FROM 2022 FOR POSSIBLE INSTANCES OF MAIL IN BALLOT FRAUD VOTER HARVESTING AND HELPING WITH MAIL IN BALLOTS WHICH IS ILLEGAL IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. WHEN WE SPOKE TO THE 87-YEAR- OLD WOMAN THEY TOOK HER CELL PHONE, HER LAPTOP AND HER PLANNER. THERE IS ANOTHER GENTLEMAN WHO HAD HIS HOUSE RATED HE WAS A FORMER DEMOCRATIC CHAIRMAN IN BEAR COUNTY. HIS ATTORNEY HAS FILED A LAWSUIT ASKING THAT THE HIGHER COURT FREES ALL SEARCHING THAT IS GOING ON OF HIS ELECTRONICS AND EVERYTHING THAT WAS TAKEN
