2024 Virginia Tech Hokies Football Predictions

hey what is going on football fans welcome back to the channel if you're new to this channel consider subscribing and also hit the like button down below so today we head to blackburg to break down and make predictions for the hokes from Virginia Tech so um this is a Virginia Tech Team I think is going to make some noise this year in the ACC so um Brent pry he's going into his third season uh with Virginia Tech and last or his first year they went three and eight and then last year they went seven- six but when they made the switch at quarterback from Grant Wells to Chiron drones this team was totally different and um I think that's what sparked the the team's uh turnaround and ultimately ended up going to a bowl game and they won the bowl game versus Tain in the Military Bowl I believe it was so uh Virginia Tech riding the momentum wave and uh they returned most of their starters on both sides of the ball and as I mentioned Chiron drones um you know they he comes back as well as their leading rusher in bash beesu Tuton as well as Malachi Thomas they also bring back uh dayquan Felton and Ali Jennings and don't forget about Nick Gallow their tight end who missed the season last year and so they got some pretty good pieces on defense and as I said most of their starters are returning uh they also bring in Kevin Gilliam and annias pet from the transfer portal so Virginia Tech they got a lot uh riding uh they're riding the momentum wave into the 20204 season is this the year possibly that they get to the ACC Championship Game well only time will tell so here's a look at the schedule uh for Virginia Tech they go on the road to Nashville to take on Vanderbilt now of course we know Vandy they're in the ACC but not it's not really a HomeField Advantage okay not n times out of 10 at a Vandy home game 90% of the fans that are there are fans of the opposing team and tech fans I know all too well they travel they travel well and so blackburg is not all that far from Nashville so uh I do think uh that will prove to be an advantage for them and ultimately I do think that they will get themelves a win over the commodor so they're back home against Marshall remember they lost to Marshall last year on the Road and um and that was part of their early season struggles but I do think they get revenge on the herd uh this year so Virginia Tech at this point in the season they're 2 and 0 all right so now this game here they they go on the road at Old Dominion so everyone has their Kryptonite right and in this case it's Old Dominion specifically at Old Dominion ODU has been a House of hores for Virginia Tech the last two trips that they've made out there they have lost and so I don't know can they get the monkey off their back this time we'll have to see over I don't think they'll have problems though I think they finally uh they finally break the ODU curse so to speak so they go on or they're back home uh again against ruter before they hit the road for two straight games I don't think they'll have any problems with ruter remember ruter beat them last year but Ruckers they lost their quarterback and so a lot of question marks now surrounding that team and plus this game is at home and so because of that I think ruter will or I think Virginia Tech gets the win so they they go on the road to Miami the next game and this is where things could get a little tricky here so these are two old Big East Rivals and Miami and Virginia Tech they are part of the the permanent opponents so to speak in the C now and these two teams have always had some good battles over the years and this game is at Miami and just like with Vanderbilt you know Miami is not really a HomeField Advantage okay they play in an NFL stadium and their their stands are barely half full but in this case however I do think that Miami finds a way to get themselves a win over the Hokey so Virginia Tech they had their first loss of the season I do think how however they bounce back the next week going on the road to Stanford uh Stanford is a newcomer in the ACC and remember these two teams the last time they played uh was in the Orange Bowl in 2010 I believe it was and so um I do think they'll get revenge from that game this time around so they're after the first bye they come back home on a Thursday night against Boston College so um forget about it Boston College has no chance in this game and um Thursday nights in blackburg um it's just it's just hard to it's just hard to be to beat Virginia Tech in that environment and th they always do well on Thursday nights so uh I don't think they'll have any problems here then they're at home again against Georgia Tech so the battle of the engineering schools so uh last time Georgia Tech played Virginia Tech in blackburg they won they beat the hookies on a on a come from behind win and this is going to be an interesting game U you got a very good defense going up against a high-powered offense and plus this game is in blackburg and I do F I do think that uh Virginia Tech will find a way uh to get a win here so they're at they go on the road to Syracuse so Syracuse is a team I think is kind of flying under the radar they have a new coach this year with Fran Brown he's brought some very good pieces in from from the portal and I think it's going to be a high scoring game the question is who it could be one of those games Whoever has the ball last ends up winning and I think in this case it very well could be Syracuse I have this as a loss for Virginia Tech then they're at home against Clemson before their second bye and a lot of question marks surrounding Clemson this year uh their quarterback Kade kumnick hasn't exactly performed uh like like he should be or the expectations was especially when he took over for a struggling DJ OU angal and it's been a while since Virginia Tech has beaten Clemson and I think I do think however I think the defense for Clemson is going to show up in this game they're always good and so because of that I have this as a loss for the hokes the good news is for Virginia Tech however uh after their byee they have two games that are very winnable uh the first of which is on the road against Duke and this as I said before Duke is a team that's also flying under the radar and that's a bit underrated in my opinion but I do think that Virginia Tech finds a way to get a win and then the last game of the season against UVA I mean that's a no-brainer us even speaking as a Virginia fan uh UVA Tech just owns UVA and you know it's just what it is so and for UVA not very high on them this year and so this should be an easy win to close out the season ultimately lead leading to a record of 9 and3 and a 5 and3 Conference record so that is my
