2024 North Carolina Tar Heels Football Predictions

hey what is going on football fans welcome back to the channel if you're new to this channel consider subscribing and also hit the like button down below on this video all right so uh in this video today uh we will be breaking down and predicting the tar Hills from North Carolina a lot of question marks surrounding North Carolina uh this year so uh m brown is back for another year in his second stent with the tar Hills and I've said before his second stint has been a little underwhelming considering the success uh that m brown has had in his first stint and also during his time at Texas you know it's been a little underwhelming I mean still it's been okay I mean it's not terrible but uh this there's a lot of question marks surrounding um surrounding North Carolina so the question for them is who's going to be the quarterback is it going to be Max Johnson who transfers in or could it be possibly jacobe Criswell remember he transferred out of North Carolina now he's transferred back so I would I would give the edge to Max Johnson but it's going to be hard to replace a player like Drake May uh Drake May was uh he was the third overall pick in this year's NFL Draft but the that's not the biggest problem the biggest problem for North Carolina has been their defense their defense ranked 12th in the ACC last year 14th against the pass in 11th against the rush so it's going to be an uphill climb for North Carolina and plus not only that um you know they lost a couple other pieces as well they lost Cedric gray who I believe was their leading tackler and so we'll see what happens but I am not I'm just going to be honest I'm not very high on North Carolina this year and this very well could be the end of m brown uh during his time in Chapel Hill and plus the schedule I mean it's not it's it's not very easy either and it certainly doesn't help matters you know you start on the road uh on a Thursday night at Minnesota and Minnesota they've been very good for the last few years under uh PJ Fleck and ultimately I think this is going to be a loss for the tar Hills so they have two actually three straight games at home uh against UNC Charlotte North Carolina Central I I think those will be easy wins and then this next game against JMU uh James Madison I do think North Carolina gets the win but they better not take JMU lightly because you saw what they' done to Virginia last year even though yes I know Virginia wasn't very good haha but um I tell you what JMU is good I know they have a new coach this year but I tell you what I wouldn't be shocked at all if they were to come to Chapel Hill and and upset the tar Hills but I do think that the tar Hills will get the win going on the road against rivals Duke I do think that's going to be a loss um I think Manny Diaz I think he's going to do a good job at Duke in his first year then they're at home uh back-to-back games at home again uh against pit and against Georgia Tech I think they'll get the win against pit uh it could be one of those games where it comes down to the trenches you know we'll see how things turn out then they're at home again against Georgia Tech now this game is interesting for a lot of reasons so speaking of Georgia Tech the new defensive coordinator for North Carolina is Jeff Collins the former Georgia Tech head coach and um Georgia Tech they're going to want to beat Jeff Collins and even over the past few years over the past I think the past three or four times that Georgia Tech has played North Carolina they have owned the tar Hills and that was even with Jeff Collins and so North Georgia Tech just owns them okay and they're going to want to beat their former head coach I know Brent key is and so I think that Georgia Tech will find a way to get a win on the road versus the tar Hills so things don't get much easier uh after the bye they have back-to-back games on the road against Virginia and against Florida State so remember what happened last year in Chapel Hill when uh North Carolina played Virginia North Carolina was ranked 10th in the country Virginia at the time only had one win in and Virginia went on the road and they upset the tar Hills North Carolina is going to be looking for Revenge I don't think they will get it I actually do think that Virginia will find a way to get a win against North Carolina then going on the road to Florida State the following week I think that's a that's a loss right there uh Florida State's not an easy place to play then after the second bye they have two out of their last three games at home the first of which is against w Forest I do think that will be a win uh then they go on the road to Boston College and I think Boston College is going to be good this year with Bill O'Brien uh he's a very good coach very good fit for that program and so that that's going to be a loss so you need a win to get into a bowl game well look who look who you have to go through to get there an NC State team that has absolutely owned North Carolina they have won the last three in a row over the tar Hills and um you know this is the game in the state of North Carolina and when you think of of Tobacco Road rivalry you think of North Carolina and Duke that's on the basketball side for football it's North Carolina versus NC State and you know what I think NC State I think they will get themselves a win on the road against the tar Hills denying them of a bowl win so I only I have North Carolina going five and seven this year with only two ACC wins I just don't know I just don't think it's going to be a
