Trump Dealt MAJOR Blow In Devastating Post Debate Poll Surprise

the polls are here and it turns out that the debate did have an effect a massive one or a small one we'll see but we have a couple of uh a couple of actual polls and everyone's been wondering like can this actually get through to people we know that a lot of people watched it and here uh we we do know now that according to a new reuter zipo poll uh Harris's lead over Trump has expanded following the debate so this most recent poll has her up Five Points over Trump there was another won late last month that had her up four points now that would imply that the debate had one point of effect I don't think that's actually true because you might recall that we cruised into this week with this new narrative and it was the New York Times shows that Trump now has a national lead you remember that no one's talking about that after the debate but that poll the previous one in reuter zos was over two weeks ago and everyone's talked about how some of the honeymoon might be wearing off she's not breaking through some of the enthusiasm is going down and all that so it might be that it only gave her one point boost or it might be that she was at four and then she was at two or even and now she's at five and so two different ways to interpret it we only have a couple of data points but I don't think it's as simple as she gained one point from the debate but even if that's what it was good to gain the point that can certainly help now this is National we need swing state polls those will be coming in over the the next few days but I also want to mention that in a morning consult poll also conducted after the debate she also is up by five points and that is important not only because it's better than being tied or being down like we used to be but everybody always throws around like what do you need as a Democrat to win considering the structural ways the Democrats are disadvantaged by the Electoral College they generally say you need like five or six points of a victory and so we are now in that territory we're in that conversation and uh in addition I want to throw out some other results of the poll and that we can discuss uh reuter zos found the vice president did come out on top in the recent debate I only mentioned this in case Donald Trump is watching 53% said that she won 24% say that Trump won I like that poll because that implies that there are some Republicans who are watching that are willing to admit no he didn't win there's still that like core 20 to 25% that I mean there's nothing you can say to get through to them um but that's some good news now there was also some good news for Donald Trump in this poll but not as good as you might think and that's why I wanted to add context to this in case you see it going around so um who so the Harris and the B Administration connecting with the voters okay so who would prioritize a good climate for business well he won that category 47% to 37% so he won but it's 10 points that could certainly be worse considering that's supposed to be his entire appeal is that he's a businessman also um in terms of prioritizing lowering the cost of household goods he won 43 to 36 that one's only seven points and maybe that number would be higher if he had actually like stayed on message and talked about inflation and talked about prices and all that but considering that's one of the main liabilities for kamla Harris a seven-point loss could be worse I think I don't know feel free to dis agree Sharon but what do you make of these results in the overall polling I think you're right she is moving in the right direction she has the momentum I think the other thing is and you mentioned the Battleground States and and the data would come out uh in just a few days what we're hearing about even candidates down ballot look what's going on in Florida to me she's picked off and peeled off voters who they're lukewarm at best on Donald Trump maybe they won't vote for her maybe they'll just stay at home and I think that matters too so I think she's definitely moving in the right direction I have to like stay on message which like G Donald Trump perhaps it's difficult for me too because as you say these things like he doesn't know what a pound of beef or a dozen eggs cost John I mean how could he win that where people oh household goods this guy come on I know a lot of it's ridiculous but um I want to get just briefly into some of the like the personality characteristics like not just policy specifically so who appeared more dignified 56% say Harris 24% say Trump I mean that's by the way the 24% is exactly equal to the percent that say that he won it's 24% of the country is completely out of their mind I mean you can you can even say you think he won because he talked about migrants drowning Us in Blood and cheated okay fine you can say that you like that or whatever but dignified come on they're eating the dogs they're eating the cats they're eating the pets dignified come on what game are we playing and uh by the way uh who seemed like someone who would listen to me and understand my concerns 49% to Harris 18% to Trump that's devastating he didn't even get his 24% on that maybe I'm wrong maybe it's not 24% maybe it's 18 only 18% said he seems like someone who' listen to me understand my concerns look I'm not like political expert or something but I feel like you want to win in that category when you're trying to win people over to vote for you for president when fewer than one in five people listening to the debate are like he would listen to me that seems devastating and it's unfortunate that it hasn't had a bigger effect on the overall polling but maybe that will come in future polls yeah I mean but remember the split screen they were on the split screen like us right now for pretty much the whole debate and he was looking down it you know he falls asleep some times he did it in court he's done it at you know large venues he's done it at roast he's just what he does and so of course no one thought he was listening to them and that doesn't bode well because a lot of times women accuse men of that anyway he just was H he was out of it in fact I was watching it with someone and I understand that the former president doesn't drink or do drugs even he said out of his mouth can you imagine if I did but the person I was with said is he it looks like he's been drun huged there was no fire and maybe it was right after she stepped up and you know grabbed his hand and he kind of had a little if you watch his speed he kind of stutter stepped a little bit like he was thinking is she here to hurt me big bad wolf okay but he looked like he was asleep and that is devastating 18% which means you can cut off about seven of those points because people didn't read the question they don't even know what the question was they just checked all things in the poll this is devastating I mean the 18% is is effectively zero for where it matters it's only the people who love him the most no one no one who wasn't sure who they would vote for came away from that thinking that he understands their concerns and that seems really
