the loser this game could very well be out of the race for a home playoff date come early November yeah you look at the standings right now right obviously Lano right now is in four plays the Cavs are in fifth obviously out of the six teams in the in division three only the top four made the playoffs right now the C on the outside looking in so you're right Mo the loser of this game definitely makes the hill that much hard to climb in terms of qualifying for the playoffs so this is obviously a big game between two squads hungry for the first win of the Year well for first one indeed look at Emerson petkin for what he did last week Brent for the champlon Cavaliers a fabulous game 419 yards passing and a loss to drumvale and you look at Lano deer they had a tough game against the Griffin of Uday something has to give today here Lano has a pretty good defense can they contain the pivot star for the Cavaliers well they're going to have to right I mean you look at this Lano defense last week as you talked about they lost 26 to9 to Udu the offensive output is actually where I'm looking at the most for way right only nine points so the game going back to last season only two times did they score where they only able to score pardon me in the single digit so already only one game in they've already had one game with only single digit scoring did L on deer so they're going to have to come out on offense but they ask your question defensively they're going to have to stop the passing game led by puin you talked about last week puin did have a really good contest 419 yards five tities although he had that crucial pick in OT which is why Drummondville ended up beating the Cav so if you're atlanto you're going to have to make sure your defense is sound and coverage well it you're going to have to see what he does he's going to have to rebound if he wants to get his team their first W of the season really struggled last week again met only nine points he only had he had 108 yards though last week so have to see if he can build on that one touchdown only two completions in that game first and 10 from the 25 for Lano rash and that was almost picked off and that was afternoon Brenton last week you look at the big star for this team andil greguar not bad game 12 catches for 246 yards and two touchdowns however Jen edille only two catch for 36 yards how important will his role be in this game this afternoon well that's exactly what I was going to say Ed Show is phenomenal receiver tight obviously with everon peterin the quarterback those two some of the best friends on the team right there but his production so far only two catches last week you expected more of of him and I think he expected more out of himself we're going to have to see if peterin could give him the ball a bit more speaking to Greg obviously phenomenal game last week sent the game to overtime actually late at the end there so he's obviously an impact receiver as well for this squad petkin fleu and flowing his first drive 1252 left in this first quarter play action near side caught by fedick going up towards Midfield and he will get to the play territory brought down rather quickly by B bgu beg you pardon they'll bring up a first down for the Cavaliers and you look at federick last week Brent 11 for 129 yards two touchdowns and he is definitely one of the top hitters on this offense yeah definitely three-headed monster receiver for this Cav team and Frederick right there he has his issues with drop sometimes but when he gets the ball in his hands and he can secure it he's able to use that top end speed to get some yards after the catch as we saw right there the only thing you want to see him do differently on that play is carry the ball on the outside arm cuz we saw number nine there made the tackle saw a lot of players trying to strip that ball you got to carry to the outside to protect the ball 1210 left in this first quarter play peterkin has time going to the far side that is caught by sassy and he will be brought down just shy the 40 yard line for about a four5 yard gain and we see the first introduction of young Isa sassy from The Sassy family of Brothers who played for the Cav before yeah I saw Noah sassy a little bit earlier about half an hour ago on the field Noah sassy Caleb sassy The Sassy line here at Champlain runs long so big catch right there by Isaiah s the youngster there making his first grab of the Season second and three from the 41 for the Cavaliers good start for the Cavs on defense looking for a better start on offense gregar the third receiver to the left of peterkin Blitz from Lano rooll to his left firing away and that is off the ankle of EDG Hill and be complete in a third and three coming up and Brent if there's one thing to look at here can the cavers establish a running game which was not really there given the in fact they were chasing in the game last week against Drummondville well you go back to last week gr the Cavs had 53 yards rushing now you want to guess how much Drummondville had Drummondville had 293 yards rushing on the ground so obviously a disparity in both running games and that's something we talked about uh before the season started to the coaching staff and they said I believe actually Ed looks like he's down on one knee looks like he's hurt Ed on one KN right now as you said before and that would be a big loss if he cannot go any further right now yeah definitely again one of the trust targets of Emerson petkin on this offense but to get back to what we're talking about about the Run game right again 53 yards rushing last week I mean obviously champ is going to want to get more balanc in that and that's what actually some of the coaches were telling us before the season started they're one of the big one of the teams that passes the most in this division three so obviously they want to get a bit of a run game going so that's going to fall on the likes of of tan Gordon obviously Jaden Ralph Tyler s right Chris Ral as well there's a lot of talented running backs it's just when you have of quarterbacks who is phenomenal as peterkin is with his arm and with his legs cuz he's is the leading rusher on this team so far coming into this game as he was last year you got to find that balance again they have a lot of good pass catches but if you're able to run the ball and pass the ball efficiently you got you keep your defense guessing and that's what sh is going to need to establish here early in the season is a run game yeah speaking to Alexander Fox former CFL player of the BC Lions and Bishop Gator receiver he said it all starts and ends with Emerson petkin as being the best player in this league for what he brings rings and they say if you you can take away the head of the snake it really makes it easier for them to try and stop this Cavalier offense from top to bottom so no going to say yeah obviously Edo still on the ground there so that pass we saw from petkin was was obviously towards the ground ended up bouncing I believe off the foot of the ankle of Edo Edo kind of had to bend his body awkwardly to try to make that grab and that's probably where he got hurt right there you like to see pet can set his legs he's obviously was rolling up to his left You' like to see he had time to set his legs to set his feet it should stay Parton the A and the B gaps on the left hand side of the o line and they got through pretty pretty easily right there so you want to see the big boys up front for Champlain do a little bit better in terms of creating some holes for the Run game and field only one punt last week for 35 yards so this will be his first punt early in this game or 1013 left because last week it was score for score and we'll see now if they can come back with this opportunity to pin Lano deep in their territory and the returner deep in his own air that is number 85 Gabriel condo and little and there's a whistle and there will be a foul and that will be a first down for the Cavaliers CU to many men on the field so timeout so the the referee right here on our Seline was saying that Lan oer signal the timeout so going have to see he's going to give it to them because yeah there was a penalty so Lano had 13 players on the field but looks like the Cavaliers had an extra player on the field as well so it is going to be a timeout referee announcing that the penalty will not count as a Fox did call the timeout in time because that would have given the Cavaliers a first down so with 955 left of this first quarter play oh a gale force we've had today from where we're positioned and punting might be a key factor in terms of the real estate positioning of where we are Brent because that ball might go too far or Too Short depending if you're going for or against the wind well that's exactly so when when you have winning conditions like this which you want you're more worried about accuracy cuz obviously the the wind could be taken the ball but you also have to keep that power in mind right I I think actually power is going to be the more the more important thing here with this kick cuz I mean the brette to have to change direction and then we saw number 30 there ran L ban ran just kind of pick up the scratch there and bring down the running back so good job getting penetration by the Cavaliers on first down two yard gain on that second and eight for Lano another handoff and Bret bouncing off one tackler and he will get swamped by a few more so right now the ground game nonexistent here for Lano Deere as briet trying to get himself established in this game and so far the season bre for what he's done this year for the visitors he's had five carries coming in for 10 yards making now seven carries for about 13 yards yeah had the Run game struggling not just for the Cavs but struggling for Lan oer as well right they had 24 yards rushing total last week against Udu they gave up 184 right so the ground game is an issue for both teams and both teams are going to have to get that on track if they want to have any success not just today but for the rest of the season 37 could force can answer whether they're playing cover one cover two cover three cover four and man or what whatever the case may be but eventually the defense is going to make adjustments right to your to against your passing game you have to get the Run going if anything just to keep the defense honest and to open up the passing game you want the the pass to open up the run and the runs open up the pass it again they're in front of you in the standings right now they're 0 and one but technically they're they're technically in fourth place where the C are in fifth place but you know what you know how you jump into that playoff pitcher you get the W here this afternoon and I want to see so I noticed something so number 52 one of the offensive lineman came in that's uh this Granberg I believe yeah Thomas grber so he came and he reported to the officials so watch out for him he's going to line up I think in that tight end position at the end of the end of the line he could be eligible receiver here that's usually why you report to a receiver uh report pardon me to the official so it couldbe maybe a trick play here for for Champlain you have to wonder if this might be two down territory four down territory because it is third down and there might be two plays that might be called if they don't hit it on this third and goal coming up here for the Cavaliers well on the scoreboard right now it says third and one right so I mean the first down is still a chance to pick up first down I don't see a first down marker on the field so maybe that's a mistake I think it is a mistake because it is a third and goal here so so as answer your question is definitely four down territory I the setup for your fi go after what you've done offensively again your defense is playing good your defense has done their job so far right so risk case scenario if you can't punch it in if you can't get a touchdown you're then giving the ball back to your opponents literally at the one yard line so there is now a concern here with the down L deer player that they will require more assistance from the medical teams from both both sides and it appears that this is going to take a little bit longer than uh the process required here so both teams going towards a sideline and stop clock with 3117 left here in this first quarter play Brent Bach and mo con and Cavaliers TV 00 score line so far however the Cavaliers are on the precipice of maybe scoring three if not seven points and again the down Lano player we don't know what number that is but for the Cavaliers it gives him an unofficial timeout along with Lano deer to kind of rether their thoughts here Bren because Lano was being pushed on the ground game by the Cavaliers front five on this drive they being pushed around indeed and credit to that offensive line for Champlain of dictating the pace dictating the tempo right now on your second offensive Drive uh if you're lant yeah it is I mean you you obviously hate to see a player injured and and at least we could we could say that the player has movement in his extremities that's how he's moving his legs he's able to move his arms as well so at least that's a problem he Sig again his left arm when the trainers came over but I didn't see any movement out of his right so obviously we don't want to speculate to what it is but we have to imagine maybe it's either a hand a wrist an elbow or a shoulder injury cuz you can see as he's making his way off to the sideline he is definitely not moving his right arm at all we still can't see the number yet unfortunately uh with his left hand proing his right arm uh we don't know what number that is and right now for the Cavaliers their focus is to maybe cash in on what could be six points right now on this potential third down get towards the champ sideline Teto in on the tackle but there was a flag on the play so I'm not sure what the call is going to be right here but I'll tell you what if if it's a block from behind on L J that's actually going to be a mistake because there was a friendly fire two Cavaliers players were running to tackle the ball carrier out going to be holding against Lano you saw number 11 Charles Aton blar was coming in like a missile as was number 22 ayas maonz and they both pretty much colliding with each other and M thought it was a block from behind on atlan but it wasn't it was actually friendly fire right there but the penalty ended up being holding so it all worked out for Champlain now first and 20 facing the triy offense well the accelerator has not been working here for the atlanto offense and Dak in a quarterback for the visitors another bad snap Dak gets it back throwing it and that is going to be taken away by the Cavaliers on a minimal gain ter in on the catch and right now the heat map for the atlanto offense has been non-existent so far BR yeah credit to D like great that's hard it's harder than it looks right the ball goes off the ground and bounces he was able to kind of get a one or two Hopper there scoop it up get the pass uh and credit to Teran as well Mak it the catch he got hammered by two Defenders from Champlain that could have been a lot more two and this looks like it's going to go against the Cavaliers breads yeah Champlain bailing their opponents out of out of trouble once again here for another undisciplined penalty we saw right there Dak and and pet running back just not on the same page so it appears it's going to go against Tetro who is not happy about the call and with this it went from a second to 25 which would have been third and long to now a first and 10 from the 39 yd line of the Cavaliers field again this a bad penalty by the Cav you can't be taking penalties like that you have your opponent deep in their own end of the field ready of the punt and you give them a new set of Life set of down from the caver sack fumble loose ball and this is going to go for nothing for the Lano offense as briet was there to save the day but Dak was seen the worst of that moment and the resistance broken by the Cavaliers on that Lineo offense yeah that was number nine right there my main man Sam hudu Beast came in on the blitz Fox did not know as you see trat is on the field talking to his his defense and fox thought that was illegal move wondering why he was on the field but timeout wasn't called indeed by the Cavaliers tackle and forcing a punt because I know pin them deep champ is not really got going yet they've had a big flat with their offense and a timeout CAU by Lano dear and fox is not happy about that have who you want on the field but again that time could definitely be used better at the end of the game potentially for Lano well sh play play punt safe on this kick coming up by lard Deere and this will be a punt space a punt safe over here and that was diagnosed and destroyed by the Cavaliers on that fake punt but again given where the field position was Brent they could try out given that it's believe he's named captain in his second year in sherbrook so University ball obviously the highest level but some of these players are aiming to play next we see his impact on the defense so far win against L J so obviously the cows looking to to snap that streak and f o Deere they'll have a week to consider reconfigure their lineup and the biggest question will be who will be the quarterback for this team moving forward unfortunately for them they don't have the answer today they've used three so far in this matchup and they've only come up with seven points yeah I know L sweep into one
