THE AREAS VERY STILL. IT'S A MUGGY SITUATION AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW MORNING. IT LOOKS LIKE WE'LL PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF A STRAY SHOWER OR 2. THEN BECOMING MOSTLY SUNNY LATER ON INTO THE DAY WITH A HIGH TEMPERATURE APPROACHING 90 WE CRANK UP THE HEAT EVEN FURTHER AS WE GET INTO TUESDAY. THAT'S ALL WE HAVE AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH FOR SOUTHERN TIER OF COUNTIES. THAT'S WHERE WE COULD SEE THAT HEAT INDEX VALUE TIP INTO THE TRIPLE DIGITS AS WE GET INTO TUESDAY AFTERNOON FOR THINGS IN MOTION WITH FUTURE CAST HERE. OUR HEAT INDEX VALUE TOMORROW AFTERNOON LIKELY TO PEAK AT ABOUT 94 IN GRAND RAPIDS, TURNING THE PAGE TO TUESDAY AS WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS. YOU CAN SEE THOSE ARE RISING INTO THE MID AND UPPER 90'S. AGAIN, WE COULD TOUCH THE TRIPLE DIGITS IN SOME SPOTS AND THEN IT LOOKS LIKE WE'LL HAVE SOME COOLER AIR BEGIN TO GET A SHIRT IN BEHIND THAT DISTURBANCE ON TUESDAY WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND STORMS AS IT LOOKS LIKE WE'LL START TO COOL THINGS DOWN LATER ON THIS WEEK. IN THE MEANTIME, THOUGH, YOU CAN SEE THAT AS WE GO THROUGH OUR MONDAY, MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES ARE FAVORED IN A NICE OPPORTUNITY TO HIT THE BEACH AS IT LOOKS LIKE WE'LL HAVE WAVE HEIGHTS BETWEEN ONE AND 3 FEET. AND ALSO THE WIND UNDER CONTROL. JUST MAKE SURE TO APPLY THE SUNSCREEN. HERE'S A LOOK AT FUTURECAST. THEN AS WE MOVE THROUGH TIME, EVEN EXPECT TO SEE JUST A COUPLE OF ISOLATED SHOWERS AS WE HEAD THROUGH OUR MONDAY AND EVEN MAYBE AN ISOLATED STORM THERE. BUT BY AND LARGE LOOKS LIKE WE'LL STAY PRECIPITATION FREE AS WE HEAD INTO OUR TUESDAY, THOUGH. YOU CAN SEE SOME STORMS START TO MATERIALIZE TO OUR NORTHWEST. IT LOOKS LIKE THOSE WILL PASS THROUGH FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST AND THAT COULD PRESENT A CHANCE OF SOME DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. THAT'S SOMETHING THAT WE'LL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO WATCH FOR THE THREAT OF AS WE PROCEED THROUGH OUR TUESDAY GETTING INTO TUESDAY NIGHT. LOOKS LIKE THINGS WILL SETTLE DOWN. BUT AGAIN, THERE'S THAT SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER INSIDE OF THE YELLOW REGION ON YOUR SCREEN THROUGH MUCH OF WISCONSIN AND LOWER MICHIGAN. SO HAVE TO CONTINUE TO WATCH FOR THAT CHANCE, ESPECIALLY OF DAMAGING WIND GUSTS ALONG THE LEADING EDGE OF THOSE STORMS. HERE'S A LOOK AT PRECIPITATION CHANCES MOVING FORWARD.
