hello dear viewers Welcome to our Channel today we're talking about the Italian opposition which has condemned the supply of arms to Israel that are being used in the Gaza War the Italian opposition is calling for a halt to Arms supplies to Israel which is using them in its war of extermination in the Gaza Strip the opposition is even demanding that the government provide a parliamentary briefing on the matter and explain why it is contributing to the massacre of the Palestinian people MP Angelo Bonelli the official spokesperson for the green Europe party and a member of the Italian chamber of deputies for the green left Alliance announced that he has submitted a request for a parliamentary briefing on the matter in which he called on the Ministers of Defense economy and finance as well as prime minister Georgia Maloney herself to respond and clarify why the Italian government is contributing to the massacre of the Palestinian people Bonelli stated in a statement that there are those in Italy who are making golden deals on the bodies of 40,000 civilians in Gaza 70% of whom are women and children pointing out that the Italian Leonardo defense Industry Group supplied the Israeli Navy with cannons that were used in The Continuous bombardment of Gaza and its ports since October 7th 2023 he explained in his statement that this contract worth $440 million represents one of the largest deals made by the Italian defense industry in its history and in the context of the Middle East war zone adding that the 76 mm can mounted on Israeli Corvettes are produced by the Odo malara company which is part of the Leonardo group the mechanism used in this deal was simple Israel requested the contract for the Cannons from the United States which in turn purchased them from the Italian group and then transferred them to Tel Aviv which later used them to bombard Gaza the Italian MP expressed his belief that the responsibility for the killing of these victims also lies with the Italian government given that the ministry of economy and finance holds the largest share of Leonardo Group shares approximately 30% he continued it's no coincidence that prime minister Georgia Maloney is emphasizing in every contact with her Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu even in their latest phone call what is called a sustain ceasefire but sustained for whom he answered that for the Italian state which is making golden deals through the arms sent to Israel arms that kill women and children he concluded by saying it's time for us to say enough to the sale of Italian arms to Israel which bombards and kills women children and civilians arms that destroy schools and hospitals thank you for following us don't forget to subscribe share and like
