Arch Manning is the Texas Longhorns identity in 2024

perhaps it's as simple as this when it comes to Texas Longhorn football I want to know what their identity will be in 2024 because I and others have had nothing but nice things to say about what we expect from Texas in 2024 So Far Cry from five and seven and as Steve sarkeesian said at SEC media days going five and seven in Austin Texas sucks well it go goes without saying it sucks everywhere my guy like it nobody wants to go win fewer games than they play right you know nobody wants to go five and seven nobody wants to go two games under 500 everybody wants to be undefeated we know that however when you look at what Texas's Talent is adding silus Balden adding Isaiah Bond adding Amari nightblack returning CJ baxer Quinn yers Arch Manning gets to drive from the back seat which I think is also an interesting note and P wowski got that defense headed in the direction that could be scary with Anthony Hill coming back after a solid true freshman year and then the best kept secret or newcomer I think to the SEC and Trey Moore who probably could go get himself about 12 to 15 sacks we're talking about a league where James Pierce is considered to be the best pass rusher in the entire conference and he had just 10 sacks 14 and a half tackles for loss at Tennessee also who are they along with Arch Manning because I think the arch Manning conversation is only going to get larger especially as two things are true about Quinn yers one is he has never played an entire season without injury and two is his name ain't Arch Manny and nobody in Texas wants to see that dude play more than Texas Longhorn folks and the first time it feels like Quinn U is slipping up they're going to call for Arch Manning because the only thing people like more than knowing who the starting quarterback is is seeing the backup get an opportunity to be the starting quarterback and can go downhill real quick that also brings me back to what's their identity when they go to Michigan for the first time somehow people believe that that's going to be a really tough game for Texas and I don't think it will be I like Texas in that matchup maybe that that opinion will change given some time but right now I like what I've seen from Texas coming into this and I like what Texas returns compared to what Michigan does because the team that Michigan was in 2023 is not the team that they are in 20 24 a lot of the pieces that helped Texas become a college football playoff team and the Big 12 Champion are returning to that Squad in 2024 it's another reason that I really like them it's cut and dry but again what's their identity who are they going to be because they are joining the SEC and no team that has joined the SEC since 1992 has won an SEC Championship not Texas A&M not Missouri not South Carolina not Arkansas nobody speaking of Texas A&M what are they going to do in that game a game that they swore they would never play again both Texas and Texas A&M no didn't want anything to do with each other and then Chris delcy goes to Omaha meets with A&M's head coach at a graveyard and signs him to Texas days after A&M said every A&M's baseball coach said I ain't going nowhere I don't want to go nowhere I I don't ever see myself leaving had to go back on that at the uh introductory press conference now didn't we they don't play fair they fight the way they fight right I think that that game is also the biggest game on the calendar in the SEC for me and I'm including Oklahoma Texas in that I'm including Oklahoma LSU in that I genuinely believe that if I could get to Texas Texas A&M I would because there's one thing that we love in college football more than we love ourselves and our teams it is watching the team you hate gets smacked if not by you then by a team that they know they hate like i' I've talked about Oklahoma yeah okay we tend to hate Texas a little bit more than we like ourselves there's some truth to that it's kind of true what Arkansas is about Texas Texas is that Texas hates A&M and A&M hates Texas and I want to be around for somebody else's hate of each other right like I want to see what that goes down because if you play the kind of game you did against Texas Christian last year against A&M Mike Elco is going to give you the what four and the how now all right right Colin Klein is putting up 38 points per game at Kansas state with Avery Johnson and will Howard now he's got Connor Wegman and all that Talent at his disposal they got Shamar on the other side of that like I'm I think Nick scorton is also I mean I've been playing a lot of EA Sports college football 25 and in Ultimate Team Nick scorton is a dude like I'm gonna grow him into a monster just like I man I got so many dudes on my squad already because I'd be grinding I be grinding I'll be winning you know I be I'll be winning but we'll see how that changes when y'all all get to the game the next go round last thing I want to ask about who is Texas going to be who's their identity I brother stud up and I want to bring it up one more time because I think it is important among the schools with the most Revenue in the country Ohio state is number one Michigan is number four Alabama's number three Georgia's number five five Texas number two among those five that I just told you Ohio State Michigan Georgia Alabama Texas Texas the only one ain't won no National Championship in the college football playoff era who is your identity who are you going to be I know that some people were looking at this going I thought he was going to talk about scheme now they gonna run the ball they gonna also throw it for a ton of yards they're going to use a lot of misdirection and window dressing on offense and Steve car isn't gonna be in his bag that's not not okay but how are you going to carry this Texas because the way people are talking about Oklahoma is like oh my God Oklahoma got to play in the SEC now now they going to really find out they're not talking that way about Texas now I realize they got Vanderbilt which the bye on their schedule but who is their identity we're going to find out here quick fast and in a hurry
