in the great state of North Carolina visiting some family he's up here hanging out with mom this week so uh so you know it's it's always good to have a little family time you know yeah I thought I saw a picture of him there a little while ago what he was doing Wayne but I was going to say it it looked like he was flipping a dirt late model wasn't it or no or not a dirt late but it wasn't a late get into the news of the week here real quick and I'm going to I'm going to go ahead and get the sad stuff out of the way first because there's there's a lot of good news to get to this week as well here and um we mentioned it right before the commercial break here where this past Saturday morning and I'm not going to lie when I woke up to this news on Facebook I I was definitely I was definitely not that that was not the way I wanted to wake up Saturday morning John hearing that Scott Bloomquist uh just outside of his home in Mor Tennessee had passed away in a plane crash yep yep yeah our families are you know the brr family wants to send their condolences to um his family and Scott was a great guy a good racer a good wheel man did a lot of things for a lot of people yeah he really did and he's gone to a better place and it is what it is yeah he um you know the one the one interesting thing that I can that I can add in with all of that is that you know a lot of people may not have liked Scott Bloomquist because you know he did have a now and this coming from people that I know you know certain inner circles that have actually interacted with Scott some have said he had was very you know egotistical attitudinal whatever you want to call it the fact is Scott knew his craft very well he was very talented at what he was able to do and he he was the kind of person that while I never got the chance to interact with him um from what I know of him he's that kind of guy that if you piss him off he lets you know yeah and so he's not he's not one to sugarcoat it when you make him mad so you know obviously if you thought he was attitudinal or egotistical or whatever the case might be chances are I would probably say you most likely pissed him off and he's letting you know about it yep yep I mean that's that's the easy way of putting it and U but from this past Monday folks um and I got and I managed to get some audio uh after the Cup Series race uh at Michigan International Speedway here Tyler reck uh who we'll we'll touch on in just a minute who actually won the Cup Series race uh this past week or the or Monday at Michigan uh he did while he was doing his Victory Lane interview with with folks on NBC he had this to say about Scott I can't help but sit here in uh in Victory Lane and think of Scott Bloomquist man huge mentor to me and incredible role model and and legend of dirt racing and Motorsports so the last couple of days have been tough and this really helps it and so this win I think should go for him and his family his friends and and all that meant a lot to him one of the more emotional weeks for you Tyler then in that regard yeah it's tough uh it's always tough when uh some you care about uh pass way um but my thoughts are with him and his family and you know Tyler Ty Tyler hit the nail on the head there with that with those comments I think yep I think so he definitely has a good way of looking at it there's a lot of drivers especially in the Nascar Cup Series Infinity Series truck series even Arkham andard series that have all kind of gotten their start when it comes to dirt racing I know I've done a little dirt racing myself everyone has some form of connection to some form of dirt racing and Scott Bloomquist has been there for quite a few drivers so it's nice to see Tyler reic kind of recognizing the the talent and pretty much the Pioneer that Scott Bloomquist was oh 100% yeah hands down absolutely Zach yeah and and not to mention he was a mentor to to Tyler amongst you know amongst many other uh amongst many other dirt Racers that came up uh in that side of Motorsports before coming over to the asphalt Side and being in NASCAR ARA or you know like you said Zach and pretty much any form of Motorsport Beyond uh what dirt racing uh was and has become and so yeah there's just there's there's no there's no there's no there's no denying what has become in the world of Motorsports here when it comes to Scott Bloomquist um but speaking of Tyler retic we do have to touch on that real quick too and I'll tell you what I I feel bad for Ross Chastain mark TR Jr and Kyle bus because that that race in Michigan the fir Keepers cassino 400 this weekend the fire was definitely kept inside when it came to the three of those guys because they they they they almost you know let that fire explode and take off and do something special but uh the end of the race just proved to be otherwise for him John yeah Tyler had a strong car you know uh MH him and the 24 battled it out towards the end but um you know he just he had a strong car and and you know those Toyotas towards the end of the race they seem to be able to pull out a little bit but it is what it is and it was a good race and uh a lot of um Tire issues and uh yeah poor Corey you know Cory I'm I'm glad I'm glad you brought that up because we're going to touch on that a little bit more in our next segment here you know talking about safety and other stuff like that because what happened at Michigan with Cory Le Joy I I'm not going to lie personally I feel like it shouldn't have happened um but o yeah it it it did folks and we've got the video for it too by the way uh so we'll be uh we'll be we'll be touching on that here uh coming up just in the next segment right down the right down the block from what we're talking about right now uh big news though and you know Zach kind of chastised me on this one a little bit here because I didn't see it today late not late on it Zachary I was working polar ice caps melted before you found out about this oh Zach's number one dang right I am ladies and gentlemen boys and girls get your get your short tracks ready get all your family members bring them on over to Winston Salem because Bowman Gray is hosting the NASCAR clash in 2025 yep that was officially announced on Sunday and actually matter of fact no it wasn't announced on Sunday Zack see even you're late to the party it was announced Saturday Saturday it was announced live at the track by Ben kennedy he stood there right on the front stretch and told everybody that NASCAR is coming back for the first time in 54 years to Bowman gy Stadium for the Nascar Cup Series they haven't run that track since 1971 it'll be 54 years next year a lot there's a lot of Buzz actually I want to kind of touch on this there's a lot of Buzz positive and negative comments there's a lot of great things to look at it when it comes to Bowman Gray you've got Cup Series team saving a lot of money in travel expenses I've never agreed with them going over to La for the C for The Clash because it just seems pointless it's Che for even the small time teams to go cross country for a non-points race I admire NASCAR for wanting to take that step in the right direction for getting advertisement in Southern California but it just never made sense to me so travel costs are being saved there's a lot of people saying that the cost of the race cars are going to be going up because how much they're going to tear up at a track like Bowman gry they call it the mad house for a reason y uh there's a lot of parking concerns with the pit entries for The Bowman gry Stadium I think it's going to be I think those are going to be put to rest because they did have ARA and K and West come there in the past and they were able to have at least Le 25 30 cars back there so I think it'll be okay other than that there's a lot of people saying the short track package sucks so it's going to make for bad racing but again it's Bowman Gray it's the mad house they're going to get Rowdy they're going to use those bumpers I think we're in for a good race I I would agree with you on that but with that said folks we're going to step set we're going to take kind of sucks because I was really hoping to I was really hoping to talk to Natalie Decker again after you know the news this past weekend folks which by the way you heard it on the brand new feature that we do on our Facebook page called the bird out and uh Natalie Decker and husband Derrick lmy announced it this past weekend that they are officially expecting their first child so I I got to say congratulations to Natalie Decker because that that's big news yeah absolutely yeah I had talked to uh Amy her mother about getting her on the show and she just had some commitments already but we'll get her on and let her talk about that so oh yeah yeah we'll definitely let her talk about everything that she's got going on cuz you know even though she's not behind the wheel of the race car she has been very busy on social media so you know she's she's she's got a whole lot going on so again congratulations to Natalie and Derek on the announcement of their first child on the way here but the topic that would that I want to personally touch on here folks and we've got the video to show you for it too uh this comes from this past weekend at or well I can't even say weekend this past Monday at Michigan International Speedway because obviously the race on Sunday was rained out at about 50 some odd laps into the race weekish yeah yeah we yeah we we we weekish yeah I'll take that that'll work but the thing I want to touch on and Andy actually brought this up as a good point too because you even though Andy's not here you know we still talk to each other you know throughout the weekend and everything like that to get ready for stuff for the show and there was an incident involving Cory lejoy from this past weekend here folks and we've got the uh we've got the video queued up for you here so we're going to we're actually going to go through it here real fast and you see that right there where literally no contact from anybody no contact from anybody or anything for that matter of fact and I I just I have to wonder here John like you go back and you look at it it's him and the number 10 and barely barely just kind of noses the the left rear of the number 10 machine goes around and literally gets airborn does a barrel roll as you see there and then at that point in time it's just like that that area of Michigan and you know this from from being at Michigan multiple times in your time with Stuart house that that that track right there in the back straightway is flatter than flat can be yeah well there's a little bit of a transition right there where that white line is just not much but a little bit and if you look at the bottom of that car it is flat mm Now ladies and gentlemen we know what gives aircraft lift yep okay it's the flat underside of a wing and that's exactly I believe what happened there was so much uh aerodynamics going on going on on the bottom of that car that it just overr those little Flats on the top they couldn't keep it down and it went up in the air yeah cuz you can even see it right there that the W that the roof flaps literally came up just as he hit that point of impact and again like folks you look at it right here when you're watching the video if you're on our YouTube and on our Rumble channels and uh if you're if you're listening on the radio folks we we highly encourage you to go check out the video on our YouTube and Rumble Pages here and and yes I've got it on because I want folks to be able to see this is that you know this a crash like this it could have been a lot worse off than it was like that car could have been Dam like you look at the way the car itself is when Cory climbs out of it it literally looks like there's almost no damage to the car itself but yet you go back and you watch you know an instant like this and it's like boom point of impact right there but yet when he lands on his roof right there and I'm not going to lie when I say this that roof should have probably caved in just a little bit more than it did now thankfully it did not but right the way these cars are designed here we're going to I'm going to see if I can fast forward right here I'm looking for a specific spot right you can't really see it from right there I'm G to see if I can back it up just a little bit further here right there okay you look at the underbody of that car right there folks you see that that and that's the thing that John's talking about that is the carbon fiber underbody right there and with that that carbon fiber underbody that is what gives it its lift capabilities now the old school cars you did not have that carbon fiber underbody no you had a lot of you you had a lot of rough underneath where you had gave you turbulence that is why they and for a lot of people don't realize that that's why they closed the side window on those cars because air used to get into the cockpit and the underneath of the roof would would cause them to get up in the air right exactly and but you know I look at I look at this part here in the crash 2 John and again folks where they this is what we call a voice over sound on tape here where we're talking about it on the radio um but there is video to back up what we're talking about on our YouTube and Rumble channels here like you look at when he hits the point of impact right here where he gets ready to do the barrel roll John hits The Grass at just the at just a weird point on the P actually he hits it from the driver's side uh when he hits that grass right there and when he gets ready to go in and do the when he gets ready to go in and does that barrel roll like you can see it come up and then in most cases every time those cars have flipped typically the toe link gets pulled out of play typically that front axle gets pulled out of play typically that roof is a lot more caved in than it normally is now I will give credit where credit is due Nascar has done a lot and I do mean a lot I and I and I can't stress that enough they have done a lot to help improve the safety of this gen 7 car but things like that where you hit just that one maybe one maybe 1 to 3 degre of banking coming off of a corner into a back straightaway like somewhere at Michigan International Speedway in a car like that where you barely make contact with somebody else and in the same right your car goes around gets Airborne because of that carbon fiber underbody the wrong type of contact that makes a car Airborne like that could very very easily get someone killed you know you're right and with Zach being a driver he could probably expand on this a little bit better ex but I think what Cory did would keep from hitting the 10 car I think he actually overcorrected just a little bit and that's what got him going to the far left but you know you talk about the strength of these cars uh Wayne and that's why we're having so many injuries because something has got to give I remember remember years ago being at Daytona and talking to the one of the infield doctors and he said this is actually what he told me he said when he watches a race he worries the more the car is tore up he worries less about the driver CU he said something is got to absorb that energy whether it's the car or the driver and now these cars are a lot stiffer and so the drivers are are absorbing the energies and um I wouldn't be surprised within the next day or so we hear that Cory might even have a concussion or or you know hurt worse than we thought right exactly and and Zach now this is where we're going to bring you in to really kind of expand on this here too so you know watching that video back multiple times like we like we just did and we'll play it back again here and while you know while you're sitting here talking about things and but you but you you look at that video as to how everything kind of breaks down right there with that crash you know what what are your thoughts on something like that happening Cory got some nuts we'll talk about that Cory definitely I I think for all intens of purposes I think Cory handled the situation beautifully uh I know there's a lot of talk like maybe Cory just overcorrected maybe he just did something wrong there but I don't think Cory really did anything wrong it's it's a natural driver reaction you know you've seen people like Denny Hamlin say well I don't want to go below the double yellow line but I see a car coming down that's my first reaction so you see contact being made your first reaction is to correct to the best of your ability sometimes an over correction happens and it's probably what bit Cory right there but it might not also have been that and a lot of people want to throw hands and point fingers directly at the next gen but I would like everybody to think back to Saturday Kyle SE had a incredibly similar flip very very similar flip to what Cory had in fact it was literally the same flip he flipped over he rode on his roof he hit the grass and the car flipped back over on four wheels it's it's not a nextg problem when it comes the car flipping on the backstretch like that it came in and a lot of the announcers said that this was something that was going on because of the Tailwind that was on the back straightaway that was forcing these cars into a different Arrow situation which is pretty much what helped Cory flip right here you can see in the transition after he made contact there he goes the wind picks the car up you could see the slight pitch of the car the second the wind caught it and then over up it when right little bit more right there you can see it quickly pick that car up and then all of a sudden there you go flipping I don't want to point fingers directly at the nextg do I think there's a few issues with the nextg absolutely I think drivers have made it very clear the safety concerns they have with the next gen but I don't want to be the one to point fingers and say that this is solely a nextg problem considering what we saw on Saturday well and okay and I'm and now I want to bring up a little bit another Point here too cuz I was actually able to get it in slow motion here where we can where we can see it a whole lot better when when you look at that like there clearly is no contact between the seven and the 10 car here and that goes all the way back to the beginning of the clip here and I'm going to slow it down just a little bit more here where we can really kind of look into it here and like it's running at about quarter speed like you you notice there there's no contact between the two cars here Cory I don't think there was any real overcorrection there John now I could be wrong looking at that just again Zach you can also expand on this too is that when you look at where it catches it right there that point of impact I don't think there was any overcorrection because there you mentioned Kyle seag as well Zach and but you look at this crash here Kyle lson also had a similar issue on the track as well where his car got around on him for no reason on the back straight away as well and Kyle LaRon now again I'm not taking anything away from Cory lejy Cory lejy is one hell of a talented race car driver but you look at something like like say Kyle arson compared to this one here similar situation the only difference is is Kyle's card didn't get airborne like Le Joy did so I have to wonder where the difference resides because again you look at how that car just gets it it literally catches right there in fact we're going to back it up just a little bit more here so folks can see this is in super super slowmo here on our YouTube and Rumble channels and it's like you see him kind of come down and that smoke literally starts right as he's just at the I guess kind of the Apex of that banking right there and gets down into the flat part of the track on the back straightaway and then all of a sudden the car the car catches with the roof flaps going up car goes over and again now that's that's probably the better view of it with the super slow-mo right there like like you look at something like the way that carbon fiber underbody is there it looks like a it looks like an indie car from the underbody does it not John yeah it does you're right and like what Zach said a minute ago too you know Wayne you can't really compare um wrecks and Zach Can U talk about this better than we can cuz he's a driver but uh all your conditions for every wreck is totally different and like what Zach said a minute ago you had wind gust coming down from the backside so that could have got up underneath there and uh you know all those little factors add up it could and you know what do you think Zach I mean you hit the nail on the head factors add up everything's always different we've seen cars flip slowly at short tracks we've seen them have major rollover flips like we just saw Cory Le jooy have you know blowovers as they refer to it at Super Speedways it's it's a number of conditions a number of factors that can always change the dynamic of a wreck and I think it's hard to really compare to the only reason I compared Saturday's flip of Kyle SE and the Xfinity series to Cory Le Joy flip is the fact that they were exactly the same two different cars but exactly the same which means that you can't necessarily point fingers at one specific makeing model of each car or one specific part that's might be different on each you got to look at the outside factors as well that contributed to the fact that those cars had pretty much for btim exact the same flips right absolutely yeah it's I I mean there's still again there not knowing all of the true external factors that that go into everything there I'm sure the smt data when it comes out will be a lot more proof in the pudding as to what actually happened there with Corey but we'll um we'll just have to wait and see what happens at that point I again I definitely hope that there is nothing truly severe when it comes to injuries for Cory Ley again time will tell probably if not Tuesday probably Wednesday of this week uh we'll know 100% for certain if there was anything worse that has happened with Corey um but yeah Michigan I don't know it proved to be the a very interesting race because now even with all of the attrition that we saw in the race there John we have three races left to go until the regular season is over with at this point too so actually two I believe or yeah two after this race yeah two after Daytona and Darlington yeah absolutely two of my favorite no good Zach did you really just say the double te's no yes you did yes you did I heard you say it I heard you say Darlington and you call them the Double D well they both start with a D so I don't know how you're looking at it Wayne you might want to get your mind out of the gutter oh not Wayne come on now I've been waiting to use that one for a while and Zach gave me a reason but anyways with that said here folks uh we I tell you what on our right [Music] today either Which Way glasses I thought you were blind to begin with I don't know am I oh I'm Mr M I'm not blind but I do need reading glasses I tell you what I used to fly in the opter I used to fly in the on in the huis and uh I could see a fix Wing at 10:00 low about 2 three miles away and the pilots loved it when they would fly Vector because they couldn't they couldn't see but I do need my reading glasses yeah well speaking of reading glasses here John it's time to time to get in the kitchen and uh read a good recipe for the week I do believe yeah Wayne I tell you you know football's coming up in a couple weeks and high school football here in Alabama starts this week and uh with a good races going with Daytona and Darlington and some holidays we're going to do a hot sausage beer cheese dip oo it's some good stuff guys we're going to start with one pound of Italian sausage one cup of beer now Wayne the other the other rest of the can will be sitting around waiting for you brother two cups of shredded cheddar cheese one cup of shredded mozzarella cheese a cup of cream cheese you want to soften it just kind of leave it out on the counter and just let it be unrefrigerated and it'll soften enough for you a half a cup of grated Parmesan cheese and a half a cup of milk all right two tablespoons of allpurpose flour one tblspoon of Dijon mustard one tablespoon of garlic and onion powder each some salt and pepper to taste and whatever your favorite dipping chips are or you can actually use pretzels if you like now what we're going to do guys we're going to in a skillet on medium heat you want to cook to sausage until it's done drain off all the excess fat and set it aside in a bowl mhm now in that same Skillet on medium heat again you want to warm up the beer and gradually whisk in the cream cheese until it's smooth and melted then you're going to stir in the milk the flour and the mustard in all your seasonings keep stirring it until it's heated all the way through and then add your sausage back to it get it good mixed well and transfer it to a um a serving bowl and I'm going to take something guys is a very easy very tasty dip for you when you uh watch the U football or car racing and uh uh my favorite roll Tide's coming up in a couple weeks right same here brother yeah roll tide for me too and then uh football season is officially back in the air here folks it's uh yeah and and and this is how you know you're getting near the end of the NASCAR season is when football preseason is getting kicked off because at that point it's like it's like hm what do I want to watch more football or NASCAR football or NASCAR football or NASCAR and easy choice for me well I mean that's what they make recordings for well that too but um but honestly with the way the Carolina Panthers have been playing in the first two games of the pre-season I'm not feeling too confident about them this year um but hey you know what you know what the cool part is I got betting sheets this year here in North Carolina so I can actually bet against him and maybe make some money forth betting is now legal in North Carolina that it is and um but I'll tell you what though John that that recipe though I'm I'm sitting here thinking about it and I was thinking about it while I was reading it this morning too uh before we got into the studio here and got started for the day you you know if Andy gets a hold of this you know what's going to happen to him right oh here we go that's going to be Andy all day long no wonder the Ducks not here even quacker with was like cuz of course uh of course quacker he uh actually I heard him say it too John you know you know what he said to Andy before he ran away you got to wash your [Laughter] ass yep what used to be the championship race no longer the championship Race So this year the championship the regular season Championship is going to be handed out at Darlington thank the Olympics for that huh can thank the Olympics for that yeah gotta love those stupid Olympics not um folks you can folks you can roast me all you want when it comes to the Olympics personally I hate them I'm not a fan of them H and this year gave me about 10 more reasons why but we won't get into that but getting into some more news of the week here real quick we're just going to quickly touch on some headlines here uh and and you know kind of Hit the important ones here uh Zach brought this to us here just before the commercial break is that Beaver Dam up uh Speedway up in Wisconsin sadly is going to be closing at the end of 2024 so I I hate to see another Saturday night short track going under here but you know the sad part dirt track too a dirt track yeah dirt track too and but with the economy and the way things are going sadly it's it's the way a lot of things have been going here of late um a lot of racetracks now are apparently I don't know how all of a sudden it's just popping up out of nowhere but a lot of these RAC trcks sit on great real estate you know you're seeing it with autoc Club Speedway that's being turned into a short track there were a lot of plans recently put on the internet of how it's going to get turned into something similar to New Hampshire and it's going to be surrounded by a bunch of corporate buildings and warehouses and whatnot you've got uh Greenville pick and Speedway in South Carolina that's being tore up and yep turned into an apartment complex a lot of these tracks They just say they sit on a a big spot of real estate and a lot of these land developers want to snatch them up and it it sucks to see these RAC tracks going on the way the Wayside and you know nobody wants to see their passion get taken away from them but I I don't know you ask me I I feel like a lot of people are very quick to say that these RAC trcks got to go yep exactly it's uh it really sucks to especially cuz Greenville pickings you know is not far from me and you at all Zach it's just right down the road in Greenville South Carolina actually a little bit closer to Travelers Rest South Carolina which is you know that that real small town kind of feel um great area for racing too because that place used to be a traffic nightmare to get in and out of uh when uh when Greenville pickings was running on a weekend so certainly going to be rough uh not seeing uh going to be rough not seeing that track when I go by that area um quickly touching on some other headlines here too real quick the hos Factory team made an announcement this past weekend where they have officially tapped who they want to have for 2025 in the Xfinity Series team and that being Sheldon Creed and Sam mayor so mayor's going to be leaving JRM and heading over to hos for 25 John yeah I saw that the other day you know we'll see how it goes um you know I got some connections with some of the hos folks and uh they're they're pretty tight lip over here I've been trying to find out uh you know if our buddy cheddar is going to be there or friend Zippy and I can't find out anything from anybody but uh it'll all come out soon enough yeah it'll all come out it'll all shake out soon enough to know if uh if Zippy and Cheddar's going to be hanging around for 2025 but uh I've got a good feeling probably so but if not they're going to land somewhere 100% yeah yeah and I don't know if you guys know it or not but about 10 years ago I had a chance to drive the 14 holler and I had to turn it down but my that that is a scary thought I don't even want to think about that oh come on way I used to I used to teach 18-wheel and driving when I was in Air Force believe it or not I used to I was an instructor you stuff in your face too much should be driving a holler around joh hey hey hey hey I resemble that remark as well but anyways our buddy T Gable I hold on hold on a minute you mean resent right because if you're saying resemble it means you think you look alike to the remark and you're agreeing with me he is agreeing with you Zach that's what I said that okay either way we're we're just going to move on here to some other final news of the week speaking of the exfinity series here on this past Saturday in Michigan Justin all guy gets himself a dub in overtime in the xinity series in Michigan and the Cabo Wabo 250 and um got to love at JRM getting another W there as far as that is concerned and then of course um interestingly enough ARA had some uh dub dubs uh this weekend here and I say dub dubs because they had two different races going on here uh William seich gets the win wire to wire at Springfield Raceway and wins the Springfield ARA 100 with his first dirt track Victory and no learning curve required for this young man Conor zillich conquers Michigan yep Conor ran good that was a good race yep two drivers absolutely on a tear recently but I think one driver we overlooking especially they had the history was made actually by venturini Motorsports they had four cars fielded by four female drivers really and one of those female drivers Isabella robusto she had an issue in qualifying didn't get to set a lap started all the way in the back p19 to P2 at the flag heck of a drive by Isabella doing a great job with everything she's been doing lately well that's the thing there's there's no overshadowing Isabella rusto and like I I followed her career for a while now on social media and this young lady folks if you've not seen her race while she may not always be in the greatest equipment uh now that I mean now that she is with venturini but you know she may not have always have been in the best of equipment but she has put on one hell of a show it doesn't matter who you are where you are if it if if Isabella rusto is around watch out she's going to be doing some good stuff here maybe for lost time too she got of the race car for a while after that concussion from that big big impact at Hickory Motor Speedway yep and I don't know if anybody's seen the video of that from last year it was a pretty nasty impact yeah yeah it definitely was it was pretty wild stuff here but moving on into some other quick News Real Fast from the world of indie car here Joseph New Garden gets the win this past weekend at worldwide technology Raceway AKA Gateway and wins the bom Marino bomarito rather excuse me Automotive Group 500 at worldwide technology Raceway here and uh then moving in now into the world of the NH and Justin Ashley speaking of uh AA zrom and her debut run in Top Fuel she got through the first round as we for mentioned there with the race against um against um why am I blanking on his name already Steve Torrance there you go and gets that whole shot win uh didn't get much further than that sadly she got defeated by Tony Stewart in round two um and but congratulations to AA for all the hard work in general like seriously good stuff on that debut run uh Justin Ashley however gets the win in Top Fuel from this past weekend uh blae Alexander gets the win in funny car Dallas Glenn gets it in Pro Stock and uh we did not see proo motorcycles run this past weekend here uh so yeah it's it's some good stuff here all the way around now also another bit of note here is that Austin proc also had a little bit of fun stuff going on there as well too as he gets his sixth straight Mission Foods too fast too tasty challenge win at brainer this past weekend so JFR J JFR is really too fast and too tasty ah good stuff though for the folks over at JFR great stuff for Justin Ashley to get his Top Fuel win of the SE third Top Fuel win of the Season here uh just fantastic news all the way around here but we have got to get ourselves into picks real quickly for Daytona International Raceway and the Coke Zero sugar 400 coming up this weekend here so Zach since you're returning you get pick number one he is awful quiet over there if you're on the radio by the way folks like I'm just sitting here I'm I'm sitting there looking at that face and I'm like I wonder what the heck is going through that air brain of his oh he wants to pick the three car come on now I don't know he's won it before Daytona he knocked Eric out of the way to win one time yeah I don't know if I want to pick someone that uh is facing a little bit of controversy going into Wednesday that's uh one thing we didn't talk about too NASCAR will be looking at his Appeal on Wednesday to see if he does make the playoffs or not from his Antics at Richmond International Raceway so good point z i I think if I had to make a safe bet based on someone who really needs a win right now I think I'm going to go with mtj yeah mtj really needs to he's in his final season in the Nascar Cup Series he he's pretty much secured on points I I think he's got it locked up so long as he has a good race at Daytona if he's at least points above that cut line he's in he's completely locked in on points and he's sitting 90 above the last time I checked uh or close to it so I think Martin TRX Jr uh in his swans song season is going to get a win at Daytona he usually runs good there good pick NASCAR Chef John dicks you're up brother I am picking Mr Dave blay yeah Dave always runs good there wait wait Dave Ryan Dave blay I'm sorry let's let's let's not go back too many years how about Ryan Jesus oh good lord that John you earned a double on that one my friend okay uh let's talk about Dave son Ryan I'm sorry yeah there you go the number 12 car um yeah well I mean if we're going to go back to the days of Dave blay we got to talk about Jimmy Spencer too because I mean Jimmy wasn't know slouch either oh come on Mr excitement yeah and uh yeah don't don't ask me where that thought came up to mind because I actually happened to pass by his house in Cornel uh hunterville uh this past weekend so um surprised I didn't see him out about B jimy probably look at me like I got a third eye um but if I had to pick and Ryan blay mtj IH you know what I'm I'm it's a super speedway I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and I I am going to go with he's not been doing bad this season and I'm gonna throw a random one out there I'm say a host of our Todd gilland oh oh so we got a Chevy a Ford and a Toyota pick mhm yep so this one should be uh this one should be entertaining to see what happens this weekend coming up at Daytona but either
