it's just my opinion but the most important thing for Arsenal to do in this upcoming transfer window is to sign a central midfielder in my opinion I believe it's more important than signing a forward I and again I understand the pros and cons but I believe in building a team from front from Back to Front apologies people we've got decent defensive options we've got some decent attackers as shown by scoring 91 Premier League goals and over 100 in all comps the Midfield is where there's question marks Martin old deard is a revelation the class Ian Declan rice is at 100 million pound bargain you know geino is a good player parte is a good player we have got Fabio Vier and Smith row even though their Futures are subject to speculation but when we look beneath things parte can't stay fit I personally think for as much as I like Joo Arta probably had to rely on him more often than not last season more than he would have liked to Fabio Vieira Smith R and Kai havs on the face of it they do give us Midfield depth but NE none of them appeared the answer for the left side did Center mid roll that Granite Jaa left people avoid that Granite Jaa left and I do believe you know as good as Declan rice has been as good as Ard has been they need to be married with a trio in the Midfield we need to complete that Midfield and have a real long-term Midfield in the same way inferior it's reflected with a number of our attacking options at the club and also defensively people um Declan rice specifically needs that long-term partner whether he's going to be a six or an eight or you know both according to what Arta demands in in across the season is neither here nor there but I feel there's been too much turbulence too much rotation too much unanswered questions in the Midfield especially because edu and Mikel Etta were midfielders people could we go for Steeler now he came through at Bayern Munich initially he's then gone to hoffenheim and is currently playing for stockart people as I said he came through at Bayern Munich as you all know it can be tough for any young player to establish yourself at a big club like Bayern when you've got all of those top class to well class and experienced individuals he did leav in 2021 he made the move to hoffenheim remaining in the Bundesliga in an attempt to seek more first team experience and opportunities it was there that he continued to develop and gain experience in the Top Flight in German Football since then you know in August of 2023 he found himself at stockart and he's doing quite well and at 20 odd years of age or in his early 20s I believe he's 23 can players an eight and a six I think the way he plays his education you know and everything I've seen he would be a perfect fit for Arsenal football club and he's got plenty of admirers all over the continent um if you just believe reports people he was actually linked with us four years ago when he was just coming through at Bayern Munich as some of you remember he made his debut at Bayern Munich as a 17 18 year old personally I think the 23y old German fits the billing of what we like people he played a leading role for stutgart as I believe they finished you know in in a in a top position in the Bundesliga and overe exceeded expectations and it was largely in part to his own contribution now he's not alone there's plenty of other players like gassi for example but he did play his part and he firmly enjoyed a solid 2023 24 season which you know again was his first year at stutgart after arriving at their football club last summer he finished with a goal and six assists from 36 games now he's not a player that should be judged on such but I'm in an attempt to paint a picture I felt I'd mentioned that for me he impresses me with his all around play he's good in the buildup that's what actually attracts me to him I think he's very much a number he can play multif folks roles but I think he's very much a number six not really the organic English number six but the the sixes you find on the continent I'm not comparing him to such but I think he's of the same kind of loose philosophy of a Roger of a buett of a berella and people of that IL simply put every other European top Nation apart from England and how they look at the six and being almost in many ways your first attacker in terms of the middle um third and buildup play so I think there's a lot that he could do also the way he plays and whether rice is continue to play as a six or be you know developed into this all action left-sided Center mid eight I think he would be the consistent competent and long-term partner to allow Declan rice to do that when you look at his heat map and stats his defending his passing and other aspects you can see a solid allrounder with good playmaking and controlling possession skills he's also good at counter and high pressing and that 23 years of age he has a solid foundation that Mikel Arta can use um to to provide Arsenal with a great playing Squad and also coach and promote good habits and and just simply put keep improving him I do think he's got scope to grow and sculp to develop by no means am I suggesting he's the finished article but I think he perfectly aligns with Arsenal's philosophy now I'm not going to sit here and act like I watch stutgart religiously but at times they've played a number of fluid interchangeable formations ranging from a loose 424 to a 442 to at times even looking like a free in certain phases of buildup and they a team that looked to exploit the half spaces in Midfield and look to create overloads all over the field and I think that's something CA has has shown he can do and that's also very different but something Mikel arteta likes to deploy at Arsenal so he fits in that regards exploiting the high spaces and creating overloads he also is able to play a high pressing counter pressing game and he's also extremely intelligent so this is another attraction of mine to this footballer I would describe him as a high volume player that's just a fancy term for me saying simply put he looks to speed up or slow down play at times and and attract you know oppositions towards him to open up spaces for you know his other teammates in the final third and he'll also take extra touches in an attempt to bait opposition players and create Progressive angles all over the field long story short you do see parte doing that but I'd say basically what you see jino do Loosely at Arsenal people he doesn't look it at first but he is quite agile and able to contribute in All Phases of play across the whole pitch I think he's got he's at home as a six but he's comfortable to players at eight and in a nice way he's a typical intelligent German Academy product you know it's like they make these guys in a lab he you know his playing style is the style of a player that I believe is you know one that Barcelona historically Ajax and Arsenal fans would fall in love I don't think he's eye catching or he's not going to get bums off seat but he's a high IQ extremely intelligent individual he has shown he can be a line breaker once again he's very good at the counter press he stands at six foot odds think Mikel art has looked to install greater height in our team people um and at a point last season he won 13 middle third tackles per night which at the time placed him in the 73rd percentile so this shows that he can do everything that we're kind of missing or need to improve on or find options to improve upon in our Midfield at Arsenal now if there were some cons again I think stability is an underrated aspect in football and you know he's come for at Bayern Munich he joined hoffenheim he was there for two years or so and he's just got his foot under the door at stockart stability it could make sense to stay at stockart he's also got a 50 million EUR price tag on his head and he's drawing interest from a number of clubs including Barcelona where he could link up with fellow German Hy flick he's also contracted until 2027 so this could make it hard to prize him away from his current employers people nonetheless I do think he's a player that is unfortunate that you know when you're German it's or it's like being French is that you're a good football if he from another country you know Mr angel steer will probably be in a euro Squad unfortunately Germany are stockpiled with talent and experienced individuals but I do think you know his stock will rise in the years to come and he'll become more of a household name not only within German Football if he isn't already but in the wider spectrum of the football in world who knows simply put what Mikel Arta and edu are thinking in regards to Midfield um but in my opinion we cannot get to where we need to get to as a football club and reach that promised land until we complete this Midfield rebuild people with a prop Central Midfield Edition that you know upgrades our starting 11 one that is a long-term partner in the pivot to Declan rice and creates that Trio in odard rice and whoever that would be and I think he's someone that would align with our principles I think he's someone that off the field and on the field would align with what Mikel Arta wants he's very culturable he's very intelligent and he's got a solid foundation that once again Mikel Arta could develop and mold into a serious player for us and one that could be in the middle of the park for Arsenal for years to come this is just my thoughts though and what do I know I'm just trying to
