'Shadowhunters' Cast On The Jonathan Reveal & Season 2 Surprises | SDCC 2017 | Entertainment Weekly

[Music] hey I'm Sam Hy from Entertainment Weekly I'm here at Comic Con joined now by the cast of Shadow Hunters H well I'm aast of Shadow hun a a shadow Hunter I want to start because the last episode ended Clary realized something very big very important how is that gonna change things especially I feel like the promo the two of you were butting heads a little bit about how to deal with this Jonathan it is I mean we're always butting head always like I've been doing this jayon has been a shadow Hunter for like 20 odd years and clary's been doing it for a month and she thinks she knows better so no we should do it this way Clary just has the best of intentions she just doesn't necessarily understand the consequences of a lot of things like your best friend dying and your mom dying you know Lally a death p with good intentions you CL finding out that Sebastian or that her brother is indeed alive is um is going to change everything and eventually if the connections are made then that could affect things even more does she feel a bit like protective of him I think well Clary brings with her the The Compassion that she has from being a mundane and the fact that she doesn't didn't grow up with all of the yeah I F that she's saying that none of us are compassionate in any way but she because she used to be a mundan she she's able to understand understand compassion and emot loal loyalty how about intelligence smart choices thinking how Jay sacrificed himself to get kidnapped by Valentine interview is over it is over I'm not talkmore that CL did not grow up in the world in of the Shadow Hunters that were grew up with all of the rules and all of the sort of ways in which and the the fact of the matter is that she feels like Sebastian is or Jonathan is her only family left and that seems fair how does that one make Simon feel that comment her only biological let's just stop hurting Clary thank you Clary but I feel like last episode we find out they still don't know where Valentine is they now have this new mystery they don't know where the soul sword is but what is even top priority how do you pick uh how do we pick the priorities PR hat I think that would stand true it depends on it depends on the situation you kind of have to pick actually I I have to yeah that's great let give orders to a bunch of people who won't follow orders that's one two everything goes wrong no matter what I do so what I should have learned by now is that I should plan for my plan to fail and then secretly keep that that that that failed plan as my true plan and not let them know about it not let you know about it of course not you wander off into the distance also you're the only one who's semi- reliable what you're saying is all your your plans fail yeah but they're not my plans they are your plans you're are your PL not my but you're making a plan right now so that's going to fail too about that's true you're planning to fail you're I'm going to plan to fail so the outcome will be positive but then that's still a plan so you're perect you reverse RSE this is like the time travel Paradox this is time travel and I'm not I'm not getting into it but I think that we're we're going to look at it better two failures make a success there you go in my life that's not true you just learn how to fail better right learn how to fail better fail with style secret that are having to be kept what can we expect these just a rope that you're holding and it's just like this the whole time stretching um uh Magnus also hiding another Secret plent Of Secrets he's got 400 years of secret he's got never what's a little lie I don't I'm not going to lie end up shoting on no I don't I didn't what are you talking about talking about what show are you watching what hideous thing are you saying why would you ever say that what is wrong with youone that happen there's no cheating on they like rewinding that part like did he really there's a lot of amorous love Mak it was like this and it went like this St it good good Lord we're learning some stuff no we're not we've learned nothing and we've told you nothing tell you nothing sipping tea That's season three season three is the te right but to be fair there's so much that happens in these last few episodes and it's I think we're all really excited because there's there's so much more to come that's right stick to the party live bring it back I feel like Simon and Maya had a bit of a moment in the last episode yeah there was definitely well I mean since the first time we saw them there was always that little spark as Mya someone that kind of gets Simon on a level that only Clary had before like the geekiness and then we like the Blade Runner thing and um yeah there's definitely a little spark there but little people there were no tweet at the him to move forward and then mil's also in a place where I think they both are in a place where they they don't they don't know what they're doing they're kind of just feeling it about but Maya definitely has a thing for Simon as you can kind of see and Simon definitely thinks Maya's look super cool and obviously like pretty everything so yeah what's going to happen when she finds out about well what what no it's been aired huh Jason Jason oh you don't know about every girl that he's liked just on in okay wait do okay wait wait wait wait wait wait a couple of things couple things first of all season one you were getting tail nonstop and Jay's got zero except to fall in love with his sister that's all that really though well not really but we didn't know you guys both your brother and sister so that's still weird enough but let's just leave that there you only been with two girls no yeah something like that noine oh yeah three cam damn wow never mind that's why that's why you're most orio vampires cuz you're sweeping you just pretend to be all weird I mean it was before the what are we talking about right talk about you getting La totally my real life um where is Luke when is he coming yeah that's what everybody we all know everybody wants to know where's Luke when is he coming back he's in the forest doing some stuff I'm I'm begging for Luke and Alec to work he's he's building a log cabin oh oh that's good yeah trust me and and there's stuff in that Log Cabin that nobody wants to find out trust me like a lot of Secrets we have some we have some we have some coming up yeah oh yeah we yeah there's a lot there's a lot that's all I can say I don't want to spoil it is is he Al like is Dad sticking around I hope not I mean wait what wait oh yeah that's what he's been planning in the L cabin I set up the first date I set it up sipping tea I just got it All Is Forgiven I think because there's more going on behind the scenes than we're aware of and Idris is a weird place and so daddy daddy lightwood's doing just fine mama lightwood's going to find something new coming quite some few times things happen
