a week in my life in NYC (interviewing winona ryder and jenna ortega, concerts, and touching grass)

spend my days patiently waiting for the night to creep yeah chasing clouds counting sheep I don't know where but we call it killing [Music] time oh [Music] always h a and when I say and I am sitting on a desk right now on pin looking at rugs because I need to decorate my apartment and I need to buy a rug hey and I just did my laundry oh she just did her laundry oh her life is so crazy oh pigeon oh okay [Music] little haul time welcome scored this I scored this princess mon no original CV epic as hell I got rid of my record player and my vinyls so I no longer have anything to play my Charlie Brown vinylon that is the only one I saved but I found for $150 a CD frankly this is the best find ever and this is proof as to why physical media is so important because for I think like 4 years they took this off of off of all streaming platforms so there was no way to listen to this beautiful Flawless artistic album that shaped pop and now like no matter what happens to it streaming wise I will always have this copy and I can listen to it anytime I want second I got this I ordered it online um it came in the mail today I'm on page 50 it's like a crime book about um about a murder like a lot of crime books are about every time I go to book off because there's there were a lot in Paris every time I went I got like a Japanese book cuz it is like a Japanese company just because I like the spines of Japanese books can't read Japanese but this one I found and it had the the little girl from grave of the fireflies on it which if you know grave of the fireflies you know that that this almost immediately induced tears into my tear Ducks yeah so that's my little haul for today I'm going I'm leaving in about 45 minutes to go see a friend in Brooklyn she's doing like a poetry reading and I've never been to like a a reading of any sort be who you are for you pray cheers congratulations what do you know about being drunk in a in a walkable City because it's [ __ ] beautiful there's nothing better my God like it's beautiful life is beautiful as spot give me one glass of alcoholic beverage and I'm making friends with the entire function the entire I'm I'm being social like is it so bad that like I need I don't think I need alcohol to be social because I definitely don't but like when I'm sleepy and and the sun is down yes maybe I do I'm strong to to ro to ro just hey welcome to the Vlog today I have a day centered around Cinema I am going I'm actually already late as I'm filming this I'm going to see long legs finally with uh my friendly Jay I'm so scared I heard people were [ __ ] themselves because the movie was so scary so why am I putting myself through it I don't know after that we're going to take a little walk to a little shop called postery Dy and I've been wanting to go to this store for like 2 3 years now it's just all vintage movie posters I say I'm going to blow a bag sometimes and then I end up not blowing a bag but like I am going to blow a bag because I have a lot of walls in here hello Echo do you hear that Echo yeah I need some posters to absorb that Echo I need posters to absorb the voice that I'm emitting into the space and then after that I'm interviewing um Matthew mcfaden mcfaden and Emma Corin for letter boxed because they're in the new Wolverine movie and I don't know how I was roped into this I don't know Deadpool I've never seen a Deadpool movie they have like a 40-minute like little sneak preview or something so I'm going to go see that am I and I do I want to no the interview part is going to be epic and awesome and that is on Saturday so I'll update you guys how that goes um hopefully I don't trip and fall and accidentally like Kiss Emma um and that would be fine if that happens for me and probably for her too um hopefully her team doesn't see this because it's probably an HR violation saying that I'm going to kiss the the talent as the interviewer I'm going to go now I'll update you guys what I think of idea what to wear like I don't know I don't I don't know you know the icon my goers that I love so much that I don't know they're just I love them and I'm going to wear them and that's why I bought them okay I have my um my grandma's ring right here iconic I have my locket of me and my aunt she's always with me right here the ring my mom got me and then my favorite little lucky Ring The Vibes are good I need a I need a diarrhea really bad but I don't have time to unfortunately yeah I got to go I'm probably going to take a bus there no I'm going to Uber there I'm going to treat myself because Uber share is $12 today this morning I just checked once you check for the Uber you know you're getting the Uber once you open the Uber app you know you're not using public transit and unfortunately between $12 and $290 which is the the price of a fair to take a bus I'm just going to I'm just going to splurge and do the Uber okay I'll see you there Emma Corin Matthew mcfaden um good morning I just woke up from a nap yes a nap and it's still sort of morning it's um it's 12:30ish and I was up at 6:30 for some reason today I've only been able to sleep for like 5 hours at night and it frightens me because I'm someone who like if I don't get my 10 hours I will take periodic naps throughout the day that is all that bike is used for is to dry my clothes when I wash them in my little portable washing machine but what I'm about to do is head out to surprise a coffee shop to do some work do some podcast planning with Kevin who is my podcast host in case you didn't know U I'm also going to get dressed because I'm not clothed at the moment reminder if you ever feel low check yourself say am I dressed or am I still in my lounge wear clothes is if you're if you're still in your chill night clothes putting on some real clothes and I guarantee you day turned around is that a real statement that I'm saying right now no but it does help sometimes uh also making your bed I also I always make my bed because because like when you step into your room after like coming home or like even just like starting your day with that it's just like one thing that like gets the ball rolling you know and I love to get that ball rolling when that ball rolling M I love it I'll see you guys at the coffee shop [Music] [Music] setting up a little rack to put right there to display my CDs and then I'm going to buy a TV and put it there it's going to be a small TV I didn't really want a TV I was going to do a projector but then I was like when the projector isn't playing there's going to be nothing there and then every time I turn on the projector I'm going to need to take down whatever is there that is like occupying that giant blank wall so I was like let me just get a TV you know and that's what I'm doing oh that that's just my new little [Music] shelf well guys you know it's just another normal night just another normal night where I I'm laughing and I'm watching a movie and then I go on Tik Tok and I laugh and I'm hit with a an array of poems about grief and loss and then I flipped to the next Tik Tok and it's it's a it's an edit of Camala Harris's coconut tree speech to a Charlie XX song so um I've really been through the emotions tonight but the grief ones really hit me all the time okay good night well good morning I decided to walk to I don't really know what area no maybe Soho Chelsea not Chelsea I stopped at mnal Jackson books cuz I finished my book yesterday that I was reading got a new book I also got a little tiny ceramic cat and it's epic as hell I'm now on my way to Elizabeth Street Gardens which I have not been to since I moved here and it's going to be beautiful it's the most beautiful park ever so I'm going to sit there before I even touch technology today because I've been so chronically online it's actually um it's vomit worthy it it makes you want to vomit if I told you what my screen time was 14 hours average this past week so definitely going to try to disconnect today yeah for my mental well-being because frankly like my eyes just water at random times of in the day because I'm just on my phone or like on my laptop usually like doing like editing on my laptop and stuff I also do like freelance editing so that's the plan basically so many kids don't take a so so [Music] yeah this is just my little guy no need to um be jealous or anything he's just my little guy my little penguin guy um every time I buy a new book I'm going to buy a new one of these cuz I love him so much what the [ __ ] I love it [Music] of a giant City like I I genuinely feel a bit enlightened right now my third eye is peeking out um hell yes hell yes just going to sit here until I don't want to sit here anymore do some reading with me and that I'm sitting here like enjoying like a nice beautiful day and like a thought Pops in my mind I'm like what if what if I hit one of the towers one of these towers and then what if they hit it again hit another one is that an intrusive thought or like is that just how my mind works like am I just a really huge pessimist because let me [Music] know I have loved you for the last time
