Michigan vs Texas it was not even close

well well well has this first two weeks of college football been a treat or what man we've been enjoying this it's been better than quite a lot of years behind us but you know a crazy message was definitely sent from quen IRS over to Ohio State saying that this was definitely not the same type of experience from his first experience in Michigan so let's let's let's talk about this let's see what's going on with the Michigan Texas game so once again like I said this year has already been much better we see a really big game in second week between Texas and Michigan and the first thing we learned 100% is that this Michigan's team is not what it was the last three years I mean we can see that we know that we can confirm it the coaching is very different Everything feels different about this Michigan team and it seems like the fans are not really fully supporting the team as well which is kind of sad if I'm being honest but it's kind of hard to be shocked at the same time so Texas to me was never tested in this game and I'll go over that a little bit Michigan I thought looked bad against Fresno State last week and we pretty much had the idea of what Michigan was trying to do from the first half on and when it failed the coaches never adjusted to it which I thought was very disappointing so in the first half if I'm being honest for Michigan their defense actually showed up for a little while while but that morale started to fade a little bit especially after we start you know Texas started just pushing the ball down running the ball down or throw throwing the ball wherever they wanted with accurate passing and all that and then scoring touchdowns they could not get off the field on third down I believe Texas converted 10 of 16 third Downs that's that's too many that's way too many especially in the first half I mean they probably went maybe 6 for n or maybe 6 for eight just in the first half alone I mean it was pretty high conversion rate on third down you know first down you see Michigan bringing the pressure second down they bring the pressure third down they're sitting back like oh wait a minute we don't think the best one of the best quarterbacks if not the best quarterback in college football can actually beat us with his arm he did and the coaches never actually adjusted to the play calling or anything like that so I think they set the players up for failure in that kind of situation but that's exactly what makes it more interesting so the offense comes out like I said the offense itself the play calling was very awkward they tried to be too pretty with the ball they simply did not try to you know push the ball forward by passing using passing as a threat so they can set up the run but no they came out and said we are going to establish the run this is our biggest threat but Michigan does not have the same o line as they had last year you know that type of o line from last year where pretty much it was a pro team in college football it's a one in a generation type of o line You'll have at the college football level if we're just being completely honest that's probably the best college football o line I've seen in the last 20 years let's just be honest from last year but Texas very early on realized two things one Michigan cannot run the ball because there is no passing threat and number two when Michigan is throwing the ball you just got to make sure to lock down the tight end cson lovelin because that's the only person they were actually throwing the ball to for a good while seems like that's the only person they actually trusted to catch the ball and what this made happen was mishin became predictable they were one-dimensional you can't run the ball so the defense is not backing up for a pass and you can't pass the ball because they're shutting down to one man you have to beat them with and you're not going to anyone else with the ball so it may perfect sense that Texas really adjusted very well to this game plan and Michigan got caught flat footed if we're just being completely be honest for Texas in the first half the game plan looked very simple I mean it it was pretty straightforward if you ask me personally you know they took what the defense gave them accurate passing from the quarterback three touchdowns broke down Michigan's defense's morale they got tired out they couldn't get off the field on third time on third down and then in the second half in the very first drive you just notice Michigan gave up I don't know what happened in the locker room I can't speak for them or anything but Michigan gave up let's just be honest when it came down to calling plays once again I'm going to go back to this because the coaches didn't start calling good passing plays or anything to set up the offense in a good position until about the fourth quarter with 10 minutes left I think the coaches forgot they were in a football game and just tried to Coast the rest of the game until the fourth quarter and realized they were still in a football game that play calling that happened about 10-minute Mark of the fourth quarter where has that been all game you could have been doing that game and maybe it would have boosted the morale of your offense maybe you would have had more production maybe it would have set up your run game to actually work out a lot better um but they did not do that so I I am curious to hear from Michigan exactly what the game plan was because that game plan made absolutely zero sense to anyone who was watching the game and more importantly from the coaches why wait until you know there is no chance to come back in this game to try to call your best plays out that you know was working in practice and you know you have other weapons outside of your tight end in the Run game that was locked down that entire game then to add insult to injury Michigan gets their first touchdown in the fourth quarter instead of just kicking the extra point and moving on because you know you're not coming back in this game they try to go for a two-point conversion once again what's the coaching decision here how does this make any sense you know just once again you're beating down your own team by you know failing to convert a two-point conversion that didn't help I'm not sure who made that decision I'm not sure who okayed it I don't even know why the head coach would have agreed to it but there's nothing about that whole situation that made any sense at all and I'm just being completely honest with you guys so for Texas once again they followed the simple game plan let Quinn ears do his thing take what the defense was giving you nothing about what they did on offense was actually complicated they just went straight to the defense and took what the defense gave them and you arguably have the best quarterback in college football I think besides shadur Sanders playing lights out what more do you need that is the game plan Isaiah bond is a problem for with Texas so every SEC team better watch out but Texas does have a tough schedule I still think Oklahoma has the toughest schedule in the country right now for this year but Texas on October 12th goes to Norman to play Oklahoma and then they go back home to play Georgia I'm just being honest guys I'm not a Texas Fan definitely not a Michigan fan I am a buckeye but if Texas can stay undefeated win those two games they better be ranked number one after that Georgia game I don't care what anyone says there's no other schedule that's this tough outside of Oklahoma let's just be honest with ourselves you know besides this though sadly we didn't learn much about Michigan other than they're not the same team that's about all we really learned about Michigan I don't really know how good the coaches are all I can do is question what I seen in this game and what we've seen in the game against Fresno State but do I think Michigan has a good future ahead of it maybe if they can get recruiting corrected and if they can get back to the levels of John Harbaugh and Coach the players and actually build them up and bring some players in from the transfer portal I think they can actually do a lot better you know as a buckeye fan Bucky through and through really the Big 10 needs a good Michigan team that's just a fact that's why the last three years it was so nice to actually see yeah Ohio State lost the last three games perfectly fine with that Michigan went on to win the national championship I mean I called that from the fourth or fifth game last season I just thought Michigan was the best team in the country last year that was just my opinion um but and I got a lot of backlash by the way for saying that but at the same time if I'm being completely honest with myself it's going to take time for Michigan to build back up and I think they might have to go get another coach and with all the things about this coach and the media and everything I'm not exactly sure if it's helping him I I think it's just hurting him so I really hope this is something that they can get figured out over there there's not too much attention on them and and they can actually work through this as a program with the coach and actually trust the coach to move this team forward in the future but this year is not it Michigan fans it's it's just not but tell me what you guys
