why would anyone own the stock right now theide over here is that there's a prop around the financial reporting of some of the data and disclosures this is very common we all know how the disclosures is the easiest way how the AC could approach some of these financial institutions but like I said if you invested in some of the mem stocks you probably heard the company read some of the Articles or some of the reports around AMC per usual the Security and Exchange Commission has been investigating for several months uh the accuracy of the financial disclosures from B Riley which is a Los Angeles based investment firm and we reported this morning that they're also looking into whether they've adequately disclosed the risk in some of the assets uh and they're looking at possible improper trading by insiders as well uh the company today announced that it's likely to uh miss its earnings um by a good bit and uh so I think the uh poor earnings announcement combined with the SEC news is punishing the shares down 50% on 84% over the trailing uh 12 months that really does suggest that the stock market um is really concerned about this thing is there a solution here is there a restructuring out there is there just is there something out there that can save this company and shareholders and bond holders I guess well that's the question I mean Bryant Riley the founder and CEO said today that they're refocusing uh their business on their core operations and I guess we'll see uh how investors react uh their problem is they have a lot of uh problematic debt that they're going to have to work through now and um they also uh it's unknown just the precise nature of their relationship uh with a guy named Brian Khan who uh B Riley helped uh take his company franchise group public and then help him take it private and so there's a lot of interlocking relationships between the two of them and there's a criminal investigation that's caught up Brian con so why would anyone own the stock right now I mean what what what's in it for investors to hold on to the stock like how soon will this legal worries be resolved or not like how drawn out could this be um it the company is Contracting pretty rapidly if you look at its market share it's down considerably so this could go quickly um and I guess it's a matter of whether investors still have faith in this company to write itself you know I mean just looking at the you know when you think about these investors banks these brokerage firms it's in the marketplace it's all about trust we saw that with Leman Brothers Bar Sterns much bigger firms um but if you lose that counterparty trust you're done everybody just walks away from you is is that kind of it feels like we're kind of at that point right now it it does feel like we're at an infl Point uh you know whether investors will continue to trust and um so um I guess we'll have to see how the uh investigations play out as well if you look at over here on the mumu's website the recent and latest uh rating they give to AMC it's for price target of $8 a share for AMC and they have a hold rating if I look back in the past usually they they tend to give bearish uh statement bearish analyst bearish predictions for the company and per usual the the person who is you know usually giving the the targets the information the prediction is Eric wound and it's very nice that uh Mumu actually provides his personal total average return which is down around 133% now you probably wonder you know none of these companies actually having the diversity of income sources that AMC already created popcorn candies uh you know they having a special exclusive deals for running some of the documentary movies with teror with Beyonce you know none of this actually uh apply to other companies for the outlook for you know greater growth sure the other companies does not have uh such a high levels of debt but remember at the end of the day we're talking about the oldest and the biggest theater chain in the world so it's kind of weird to see that he can only give the stock hold rating considering the company currently is below the price target of $8 a share and again like I mentioned this is the easiest way for the ACC or sometimes for the doj actually to go after the particular investment firms because the disclosures in how you actually Mark the risk or particular trades as a long or short remember this is how usually they got called out all the investment Banks last year there was a situation with cadel where some of the long orders were Mark short and vice versa and this is probably something that might look like a small thing on the market but it's usually good enough source to change the game for the companies this is why the Bloomberg said okay if that's the case if potentially the market has lost fate or trust in particular company why would the general public will be willing to hold the stock they're not even talking about buying the stock right they're asking themselves why would anyone want to be involved holding the stock and to be honest with you and fair and just I was kind of surprised to see that they still have a hold rating for MC I was expecting to look for the most recent article predictions estimates to be Accel rating and to be a price Target lower than the current rates and I was kind of surprised they're kind of more bullish than I expected right the price Target higher than the current levels and the rating is hold which kind of give you an idea that if some of the more or most bearish analysts or company out there AMC are giving you a hold rating probably you might have a reason to be bullish on the company something that uh it's not fully probably mentioned in the in the news in the reports something that is probably plausible to happen in the near future considering that AMC could clear up that much faster than a lot of these analysts expect Angel F am Crush SU Justice in
