cardoso we have to get the ball inside that's who we are the ball ball must go inside I'm very very confused about this statement I'm really confused about this statement um because everyone is like it comes to camil cardoso getting post touches and there was one time in the game where Angel ree had a good seal and they didn't hit her and she got caught for three seconds but like I don't understand what game people are watching that if she's being know the guards are the main problem and their guards are their best players their best player this year has been Kennedy Carter their second best player in her defense has been Angel ree this season Angel Reese has been the second best player on this team this season the third best player on this team was Marina Ma and Marina Ma's gone and now their third best player in fairness to her has been Lindsay Allen who's really stepped up and Michaela on who stepped up like as good as like camil cardoso has had some really good games but we've also now seen a regret R and Angel Reese like what who said this team was an inside team they've never been an inside team not once this season have they been an inside team not once have they since they've started winning outside of the Seattle game not once have they won a game and I mean this not once if they won a game going through their bigs them winning games was because of Kennedy Carter a lot of the time it was Kennedy Carter takeover and I've saw a breakdown of percentages Angel re is shooting like 35% when it's within the game's within six points she's shooting 25% between 6 and 10 and she is shooting 55% when it is plus 10 points either way when they're up or down 10 plus so in blowouts she is shooting 50% so in close games angur percentage is actually lower than we think and like I get it I get it when we talk about overall impact on the team and when I mean like these are who their best players have been their best player has been Angel Reese but on offense their best player have all been guards this team's and by the way giving Rachel banam 15 shots a game is Just Reckless basketball but you kind of need to it's a badly constructed team but Michaela Onan has been brilliant since this break so is Lindsay Allen Kennedy Carter I don't think she's had some good games she's had some bad games and camil cardoso is like has had some good games had some bad games but like I don't understand why at the end of the game they said their problem was players that were shooting 61 and 67% not passing the ball to people that were shooting 44 and by the way she made her last two shots she was two of seven so what's 28% so 28 and 25% that was not the problem in this game and like I don't know is this just trying to give some like some justification to the fans is this some like because the fans are all going mad about them not giving Angel Ree and cardoso the ball more in cardoso's defense like when she gets it she scores that is the big problem like is she's just not assertive in getting the ball I think cardoso look it's going to click eventually for cardoso like we saw it when she was kind of first there with South Carolina com Off the Bench she doesn't maybe necessarily have that natural aggression but like at some stage it's going to click it was looking like it's clicking but you can see everything's there and then when Angel Reese she is just tenacious on the offensive glass like that's her offensive game she's tenacious on the offensive glass and tenacious on ceiling she is not a dump it inside player but she makes terrible decisions but what you have to do is that's not saying you don't give the ball to Angel Reese we have to hit her every time she seals like if Angel Reese had a Caitlin Clark she'd be just getting hit on these seals every single possession and we be getting 10 open layups a game like that's how angery seals but it's it's how you get them the ball it's not about Force feeding the post like force feeding the post is not going to work for this team and like Theresa wpo knows that her best players this season have been guards like their guards have been their best especially sorry their best scorers have been guards it's just the truth it is what it is and and when it comes to cardoso cardoso hasn't been that effective in give it to her and dump it down or dump it down and get her to score especially with Aaliyah Boston who's a really good interior defender on her yesterday I think Theresa Woon is just saying it saying we need to get the ball into them more and it's like it's not about theres westbr I can guarantee you knows this but this is where like especially when it comes to fans of some of these teams where it's like I feel like there is a fundamental misunderstanding of the sport of basketball amongst a lot of who I don't actually believe are fans are like actual fans of the sport of basketball they're just fans of a specific one or two players and then are the Casual of casual fans they exist in the NBA it's good that they are there for the sport no matter who they're a fan of a casual fan is good for the long-term thing but I don't actually understand think they have any sort of understanding of the sport of basketball and that's where you get give the ball to Angel re why so she can shoot she can go for a back down where what does she shoot on back Downs like 25% no you get you got to get players where they need to get the ball and in Fair in Anger defense she's got to get hit on those seals she had um was it Nelissa Smith or dantas she had one of them in jail with a wide open layup she's the best sealer in the WNBA if you're Lindsay Allen if you're one of these guards you got to see her on seals you got to see her when she gets post position because that's when she finishes okay but the problem is is that she's saying needs to be dumped down that what the fans want is Angel ree post-ups man Angel ree does not have a drop step in her bag right now so the postup is just a bad inefficient look for the team right now and it does not appear they are tanking gracefully as in it doesn't appear they are like allow their say giving players Freedom like I would have thought okay I don't mind Angel re shooting as many jump shots she wants I don't mind trying stuff that's crazy but like when you can't do something like back down and she'll constantly go to it I wouldn't mind if Angy shot a running turnaround Fade Away jump shot consistently because you're like okay she's trying to expand her game back down back down back then throw the ball near the basket is not expanding any game and that's just where I kind of have I don't even have the issue with I kind of have have an issue with thereso SP what she was saying like hey this was not the game to dump it inside when your post players until literal garbage time are shooting a combined 27% from the field and you've got onion where shooting the lights out you've got um Lindsay Allen shooting the lights out heck Lindsay Allen had three threes in the first quarter I've never seen anything like that from her like this was their guards game again you don't let Rachel banam shoot the ball 15 times that's just a recipe for disaster but realistically what you should have said was when our post players have position we need to feed them the ball not we're an inside out team because at this point in time you don't have a player that can score in the post consistently like kair Roo's hands are really good she gets the ball on the post especially she gets the ball on the post she can finish really well she's also a really good passer in and out of the post um Angel ree is a tenacious rebounder the best offensive rebounder W that's what she brings to the offense but like if you are playing through dump it into Angel and dump it into cardoso you're not going to not only not win a game the rest of the year you're not going to be with single digits so and th westpo knows that but yet the Chicago Sky fans is the guards who are at fault when the reality is the guards are their best players right now it like it is what it is again the ceiling of these two rookies is crazy so I don't mind necessarily them running through these players but to say that's what we are when I don't think other than the Seattle Storm game you've won a game feeding
