i want to take you back a little bit if that's all right and i'm interested in how how do you go from being told you know you may not swim again to achieving the victory that you did what happens in between there yeah it's it's crazy like never ever thought i'd be able to get back to this level now i'm just you know swimming for fitness and fun um it is all downtown my mom's the one that managed to convince me after a lot of negotiation to actually get back in a pool um i was really nervous i didn't want to get in the ball and realize that i couldn't physically swim i thought it would be easy just to not try and never know and obviously that wasn't a sense why there and she managed to talk sense and it gave me the confidence to figure out how i could move in water and what my body was now doing and figure out a way to swim and then obviously it eventually moved my way up and qualified for europeans in 2018 they just honestly just took off from there it's just been crazy it's just yeah it's it's been incredible i never thought that i'd ever get to compete at one of the beginnings afterwards so it is yeah it's completely a dream come true my dream for the last 10 years just to be able to call myself again and now i can say that i i i'm getting chills just hearing you say that you know to think that you've worked so hard and i know all paralympians work really hard but but that you've worked so hard and achieved what you have is it's just incredible i wanted to ask you mentioned there the european um champs how does this victory compare to i mean you've got quite a lot you know you've got an impressive resume through the the um world champs in glasgow and in london how does what you've done in japan compared to that the medals that i've won since my conditional gauntlet were always gonna mean way more to me than 2015 although even though technically i was more successful in 2015 because i can wear four gold silver runs and i'm never going to be able to physically race that many events again for me it means way more to actually overcome all of that to actually win but also for me that the medals at world so i wanted to entertain the levels from here mean way more because i'd like to overcome way more to actually get their achievement can i ask what's your message to other people who might be watching this who who've taken a few knocks who've been told you know that they might not be able to do the things that way they want to do or that they have worked for what would you say to those people so i think i'm proof that you can push people wrong people saying you can't do something if you've got enough determination to do it then you'll find a way if you really want to do it it'll take you longer you might have to adapt to the way you do it you might have to do it differently but if you really want it you can achieve it and i think i'm definitely
