NEW FALL 2024 Kringle Maple Woods

hey guys it's Melanie welcome back to the second Candle review of the day I hope you're having a great afternoon if you missed it a little bit earlier today I shared my thoughts about the new homeworks Halloween fragrance called mummy marshmallow I will leave a link to that video in the description box right below um feel free to check that out if you are so inclined but in this video we're going to tackle another new fragrance for cringle fall 2024 this is cringle maple Woods this is one of those fragrances where I don't really dislike the fragrance but I also can't say wholeheartedly that I really like the fragrance either I think it's one of those scents that I'm just a little bit more ambivalent about um there's a few things that if I were to have the opportunity to tweak the fragrance that I think would make it a little bit more enjoyable for me and I'll kind of talk a little bit about that as well but overall this is one of those fragrances where when I've been burning it you know I've just kind of been like okay that's nice but probably not going to be a repurchase for me per se that being said this candle was sent to me in PR um I do uh I do have a discount code with cringle as well I'll put the information for that down below but being being an ambassador means that um usually if there is a new collection that is released often times they will send that out for me to be able to share my thoughts with you guys so that's what I'm doing in this video um once again uh you can check out the description box if you'd like to pick this one up and uh let's let's dive into it guys so the scent description here reads Maple Woods Golden Leaves and warm glowing Amber are enriched with Sweet Maple Sugar and tender orange flour nestled against a base of wooded moss and smooth Aspen so the top notes read sweet and maple the midn notes read uh floral and wood and the base is Amber and citrus all right so what does this actually smell like this to my nose comes across as quite a woody fragrance and like an oddly sweet Woody fragrance it's not odd in that it makes sense that it's a sweet scent because there is a heavy dose of Maple in here and maple is it can be quite intense in terms of the amount of sweetness that it brings to a given fragrance and here honestly I I think it's a little too much maple I'm a little iffy with with Maple to be begin with and it's in a very heavy dose in this particular one um and I think that is just a little bit of a turnoff to me Maple has this intense almost I would say borderline cloying sweetness to it um and it's just very potent in this fragrance combine that with that like Woody note that really is I would say more prominent to my nose than anything else um I really actually would love to get um a little bit of citrus from this one but I'm not smelling anything Citrus um I'm not smelling the orange flow I'm also not smelling the straight up Citrus that is listed as a Bas note either um yeah Amber I do smell some Amber I will say the Amber that's in here is quite lovely and I think it makes the fragrance a little bit more bearable um it's kind of a nice perfumey Amber and it plays well with the Woody note but again I think it's just the sweetness and the intensity and the amount of maple that's in here that kind of makes this one a little bit tough for me um I have burned it to I've burned about a third of the way down I'll show you guys here on the side so you can see see how far I've gotten so I've burned it quite a bit and I will say I was hoping that the more that I burned it the more that I would start to enjoy it and it's just not really happening so I just think this is one of those releases where it just doesn't jive with my own personal fragrance tastes and with Maple being a tough one to begin with I I just don't think this is the scent for me um I do have one specific neighbor that actually really likes this one a lot so I think I might pass the remainder of this candle off to my neighbor Andy um I think he's actually going to get a lot more enjoyment out of this one than I am um so I'll pass this one along to him uh however if you're a big fan of that Maple and you like that kind of Woody base that comes along side this one I think you're really going to enjoy this it is a little bit more despite being a very sweet scent it is a little bit more masculine leaning as well um which is interesting because of the amount of sweetness again that you're getting from that Maple but I do think this smells maybe a little bit maybe more masculine to my nose and that might be the other thing that's just a little bit of a turnoff for me I don't mind a perfumey fragrance and I actually don't mind a masculine perfume perfumey fragrance typically but this one here is it's not I don't know I just don't really care for it obviously strength and throw however are great so if you're looking for a solid medium medium plus performer from cringle uh I don't think you can go wrong with this one the strength kind of waffles between like a seven and an eight it's quite potent um so if that is something that you're looking for with cringle candle this is a fragrance I would sear you towards um the throw is it's quite potent in that department as well I would say it fills the bulk of the downstairs so again I would put that number between a seven and an eight I do have to be really mindful about what I burn alongside this one um I just personally don't have a lot that other than maybe some of the Halloween fragrances that I could maybe pair with this one but I just don't have a lot in my existing collection that I can really put this alongside of and think oh yes this is a great pairing for this candle or this is a great pairing ing for that particular scent so I just think overall it's just it's just not a me fragrance but the burn has been fine you guys um I've been trimming the Wicks between each of the burns just a little bit they form these you know kind of smaller carbon balls at the top I just clip those off and relight the candle and it's been great the label I will say is gorgeous and actually I think the label is one of my favorites when it comes to the fall releases this year for cringle candle um this just looks like the most perfect New England Drive um I have some real big personal goals to get to the uh East Coast specifically the New England area for one of these fall Seasons because I want to participate in some of your guys' Leaf peeping activities I want to be an East Coast Leaf peeper so um yeah I need to arrange a trip out east during one of these Octobers coming up here but anyway gorgeous label interesting fragrance definitely not something that I gravitate towards but I think a lot of you who like these Maple fragrances a lot of you who like these woodier scents you're really going to enjoy this one it's certainly an interesting combination if you're at all nervous about it please don't start with one of the larger jars go for either the Daylights if you know if they come back in stock here or even the wax melts grab some wax melts see how you feel about the scent first before committing to a big old jar of it so a big thank you to cringle for sending this one my way I wish that I like the fragrance more but I like what I like you what you like what you like it's just you know everybody has their own preferences but I think definitely a good try here and um yeah the label alone I mean that's a stunning label I might ask for the jar back from Andy after he's done with it I just I really like this particular one um I don't know if this was a painting I would absolutely put it up in like my dining room or something I just think it's so pretty but all right
