How To Find Job Openings for Mortgage Brokers

welcome to the mortgage career Hub with me Ash band I'm a mortgage business coach helping mortgage brokers simplify success but in this channel it's all about helping people who are starting out on that career whether that's you've just got qualified you're thinking about doing it and you're just in those initial phases and today's video we're going to be answering the question which is how do I find job openings for mortgage brokers how do you actually find the jobs there's a number of things to think and look out for so the first thing I'd say with this is the easiest way is to look for if you want to go employed look for roles that are um being advertised on your lightting deeds and monsters and things like that so there are going to be job openings mortgage broker openings on there all the time usually the ones that are more legit that are going to give you a better scope is going to be the ones like Connells William H Browns so sequence and Countrywide so any of these very large companies they'll be advertising all the time for rols and so that's probably the first point of call is to do that so go and have a look that's corporate employed self-employed is a little bit different we'll probably talk about that we will talk about that not probably we'll talk about that in a bit through this video but for employed go and just check out that now if you don't uh if there is no jobs and you still want to be self you still want to be employed the next thing I'd recommend you do is you go on to LinkedIn and you start connecting with what we call mssm so MSM Mortgage Service sales manager in your location so write in your location and you can write that Mortgage Service sales manager or mssm and these are the the titles the job titles for people within the Connells groups that is Connells Countrywide sequence those that those kind of main ones which are going to be the main employers thousands of advisors in there they are the people who are the employee they they have the decision on employing Brokers so if you start connecting with them and send a message say hey I'm qualified in I'm qualified as a mortgage broker I've got my cmap I just just really need a chance to show you what I can do I'd be really interested in a role if you have one they might not have one but they'll definitely keep you on the boil because their churn and their turnover in that company is quite large and so you're going to see people who as an mssm they're going to want to know okay who can I replace that person with and if there's somebody who's qualified cuz they'll put you through the qualifications if not but if there someone who's qualified and they can get you in and they can just get you on induction and you can be writing business within a month they're going to love that so that's a really good way of reaching out and saying hey just so you know I'm here they know them so that's something that I would do if that was me the other thing I do then is look at recruiters like specific recruiters who specialize within within this so Raina recruitment is one that does that Michael O'Brien is one that does that he's another guy I recommend from Obi-Wan he's called his business called obiwan recruitment Daniel I think it's Daniel CL is or glow he's from Raina personnel which is the financial services beer and then you also have um Marcus nanson who is the he's like the main guy it's NRG but NRG are more for high level SE Suite they're pretty big hitters but those are the type of people I'd be looking for financial services recruiters who are looking for jobs tap them up say where you are they'll potentially be able to help you too so that's another way of doing it so this is all within the employed one self-employed self-employed if you're looking for jobs you can if you want to go on your own completely on your own and you want to get your own cast which stands for competent advisor status which means you're fully competent connect for intermediaries is a is one you can consider doing um and that is they'll supervise you through and let you get cast without anybody so you don't need to get a job at all you can go through them and do that yourself if you are not with them most of them will require you to work with somebody else this will be looking for local um businesses who are willing to take you on so that's something you can look around yourself look around the local mortgage businesses see what's around see if they want anyone to work with you so work with and stuff a company that I recommend very good is CS Craig Skelton from CS Financial Solutions Mortgage Solutions wealth Solutions Equity release they do all of that and Craig who is a long-term client of mine and a good friend phenomenal guy and he takes he's actually taken a few people from who watch this Channel and listen to my content watch my content he's taking a few people on and giving them uh self-employed jobs under his business and his specific business allows you to effectively start with him train with him and then Rebrand into your own brand as you go along it's very clever it's very good we set it up together it's very not the whole business just the the end part but it's he's very good and he's phenomenal so that's another way of doing it is finding local people so those are the main ways is looking locally and reaching out to people looking for those employed corporate roles and those are the key players you need to ask or if you want to just do on your own completely then you can do that too now if you
