this is Scott Becker with the Becker private equity and business podcast we try and daily bring you short business episodes short private Equity episodes interviews with brilliant private equity and Business Leaders we also try to make sure you learn a little something as well as come away a little bit entertained if we can thank you for listening to the Becker private equity and business podcast we're thrilled this week to be ranked first in the Apple businesses ranking sport podcast so God bless our listeners thank you here are seven of the stories that were following today and and thank you for listening first Oracle jumped 11 and a half% yesterday Larry Ellison the founder chairman of Oracle remains just a genius compared to almost everybody else uh second Oscar Health the the leader of Oscar health is David ferini and if that name doesn't sound familiar or it does sound familiar it's because he was the former CEO of Etna who engineer at the merger at no CVS he's a brilliant person he seemly has turned around Oscar Health the last couple years has done an amazing job uh they're up about 15% today third JP Morgan Chase and the big big Bank stocks all fell yesterday JP Morgan was down about 5% Goldman Sachs was down as well uh in fourth in other bank news Brookshire haway has sold nearly s billion dollar of of Bank of America stock in in the last several uh months since mid July that's an incredible amount of money it feels like to me uh fif we following today HP which has been on the comeback Trail dropped nearly 8 and a half% yesterday so not as quick a comeback as we would think was coming uh we also have just a few other comments six the two-e treasury is its lowest level in a couple years a good sign from an inflationary standpoint a bad sign or challenging sign for Sav it's obviously a complex issue you want treasury rates high but inflation low and you can't get both at the same time I finally a quick note the Trump stocks are down significantly today down 10 11% not as bad as they were earlier today it seems like his the pay performance was okay K Harris was probably a little bit better I think that that ultimately the polls will will will not change very much based on this debate uh it will we'll see what happens I think just a fasinating situation a separate note three of our most listened to guest on the Becker private Equity business podcast Rick Kess of RSM Mitch Granger of Northwestern Mutual Matt wolf of RSM also I'll note Scott Colbert of Commerce Bank Holly Buckley of Maguire Woods Amber wsh of McGuire Woods as well as Greg merel of Beacon Patty BC today and Julie U of and Jes and Horwitz those are some of our most solicited guests on the Becker private Equity of business podcast uh thank you for listening to the Becker private Equity business podcast we hope you enjoy this every day thank you very much for joining us
