SHE IS ALSO GOING TO LAY OUT HOW WE NEED TO MAKE AFFORDABLE RENT AND HOUSING MORE OF A REALITY FOR FAMILIES AND MAKE LESS THAN $100,000 PER YEAR. AND THAT SHE IS GOING TO LAY OUT AN ECONOMY THAT WORKS ON BEHALF OF WORKING PEOPLE. >> WE HAVE ONE MORE NIGHT AHEAD OF US. THERE IS A MASSIVE PRESENCE. WHEN I AM IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD I HAVE CONCERNS FOR SAFETY AND ABOUT CRYING. WHY AM I NOT BEING CONSIDERED IN THE SAME WAY? >> PUBLIC SAFETY IS MY TOP PRIORITY. I AM RAISING MY FAMILY ON THE WEST SIDE OF CHICAGO. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY, BUT WE HAVE BEEN ENGROSSED IS INVESTED IN, AND THAT HAS LED TO POVERTY. OUR COUNTRY HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO GO FOR THE WAR ON DRUGS OR OF POVERTY. THEY CHOSE THE WAR ON DRUGS, AND LOOK WHERE IT HAS GOTTEN US. NOT ONE NEIGHBORHOOD VENT UNPROTECTED. HOMICIDES ARE DONE DOUBLE DIGITS SINCE I HAVE BEEN AN OFFICE. A LOT OF WORK TO BE DONE, BUT IT WILL REQUIRE MORE THAN JUST POLICING. THE MOST INVESTMENT IN THE HISTORY OF CHICAGO. >> I KNOW YOU HAD A BUSY SCHEDULE, BUT YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY TO SOLDIER FIELD WHAT IS THIS ABOUT? >> THE COMMUNITY GETS A CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE HISTORY TONIGHT. WE OPENED UP SOLDIER FILLED FOR THE PEOPLE TO ACTUALLY GET A REAL EXPERIENCE OF THIS CONVENTION. I MADE A COMMITMENT TO ENSURE THAT THE PEOPLE EXPERIENCED THIS CONVENTION SO YOU CAN HAVE REGULAR EVERYDAY PEOPLE AT SOLDIER FIELD
