Wolves 2-6 Chelsea Post Match Analysis: "Chelsea are devastating, too good for Wolves"

how do you go about sing up that game then Michael how long have we gotten Super Bowl kickoff um it was right from minute one as well it didn't change all game so many chances so many mistakes defensively so much great play uh great to see Co pal playing a more Central roles right from the start I mean he looked dangerous had assists he scored a great goal himself there was arguments a little bit of fighting after goal the whole thing it was a brilliant Premier League game so it was all set up for either side to try and pick up the points going into the second half but before madake then steps up with three goals in 14 minutes all three were not only similar but assisted by Cole Palmer yeah they were and Co Palmer just picks up in that picks the ball up in that little inside right position there free as a bird that was the problem with wol look look at the space you can't allow somebody to turn from a free kick there then Palmer can turn on the ball unopposed they slide it into milaki there's a little bit of a deflection there I think had it covered on the near post he's going for the near post Ricochet just goes round him in that bottom corner and then it just started to flow and Chelsea got that confidence wolves on the rack at this point yeah they were um and it was that combination again and you know when Cole Palmer plays more Central he can just drift to wherever he want and doubl and they were just doubling up on that right hand side eventually Cole Palmer there just drifting away playing the ball at the right time the right pace and you're almost telling the re receiver the ball you know what they're supposed to do if you hit it too hard you know that you're basically telling them right you need to take a touch if you hit a really soft pass basically saying hit the ball first time and Cole Palmer leaves messages on his ball they get four V thought versus three Michael normally you get that if you're being counted but they had plenty of people again giving the ball away Palmer again just two on one slides him in that's a good finish he knows exactly what is his confidence is up he's actually thinking about it as soon as the ball goes into a pinch it there goes into Palmer he's game like I know what I'm going to do here I'm thinking about it composure looks up there's a little Gap sticks it in that near post really kept a cool head very solid season last season again um they start every season people saying are Wall's going to go down are they you know they've lost one or two very good players as well in the in the summer so it's going to be an uphill battle for them and especially if they play like that that's quite a worrying sign because they've never really shown signs of that of getting a good thumping like they did today no they had no pressure on the ball they put in Midfield and the back players weren't going in there with with Strikers too easy to play against and I I I've got a question mark this year because I think they've had a downgrade normally you looking in the summer you might sell a few sell a good players get good players in but they haven't I think they've brought players in they've sold and the this year they could be in that relegation battle but from Enz maresa so many positives not least for xia Felix on his Second Debut for the club also getting in on the score sheet in fact three new signings all combining here yeah it's a lovely free flying goal Netto here the key to this goal is Netto looking up as we see him coming here he's he's assessing it's a lovely free flying Palmer again beautifully W there look he's had a little glance he knows the situation that felx is coming onto it he has a glance pulls it back beautifully so he won't he won't find an easier goal all half was one hell of a football match you know one of the most intriguing football match matches I've ever seen or two two drop off post to post chances upon chances mistake up mistakes upon mistakes so I mean you expect the second half to continue like that b Chelsea turned up and won six goals to two 22 in the first half so they basically won the second half for go to nothing so whatever it is that um their manager Enzo maresa told them at half time worked big time they came out a very different team they were passing well players receiving behind the price in half spaces you know um and the changes also helped the first half um they had an issue of tracking Runners especially on the wings the Wingers wen't helping much um MRE was doing his best but modri you know didn't actually did a lot defensively so he had he had to be substituted in the second half for NATO and that made a lot of difference I mean a little bit of difference but Chelsea had to play with care pass with care a little bit more and then uh we able to evade wolf press and if I'm telling you that wolves press very very very well take it seriously they are very very good team when it comes to pressing the position so Chelsea did a very good job in that second half honestly speaking I mean not many people saw that second half coming uh if you consider how they played in the first half but not many people saw that second half coming us if you look at the football logic you would think wor scoring in the injury time last minute of the injury time in the first half we give them the initiative going into the second half it didn't actually work that way Chelsea stepped up big time in the second half brought on stars from the bench n to jelis who also scored his second go his Second Debut goal and um also kungu also came off the bench and then VGA who also was impressive in the little minutes that he played when he replaced the ca they played very very well in the second half and I believe that that second half performance will give them massive massive energy going forward massive confidence going forward and they we think right now wow we can play this way then we can roll over any team and that gives you a lot of energy to score his goals away at wolves they have not one there for some time now and I think the last time they won there was when Lampard was still the head coach of Chelsea the first time Lampard came coached Chelsea that first thing so you can imagine how far they lost there last season also lost at home to wolves last season and they have lost at wolves two seasons in a role right now if I'm not wrong so that's that's how difficult wolves is if I'm looking at the records I think the record is saying one win in last seven games against wolves so that's how bad Chelsea play against wolves you know going into this game and they walked they walked over woles in that second half four goals to nothing un reped they could have scored a couple more uh if they made the right decisions in after countering W's attack they they had a good good opportunities on the counter but we in able to make the right decisions to score a couple more goals it would have been a massacre he already bad 62 82 or 92 maybe something else but first win for their manager new manager Enz maresa his first premier league win last week they played well against Man City but unfortunately couldn't get the win but this time around they got the win a well deserved win for that matter going into next game that mean they are traveling to Switzerland for the Europa I mean the confence League second leg against svet so hopefully they will come out of that one with a victory and then go on from there where if you if they take advantage of this performance and build on it and play with that kind of swaga that they play that get they played with against wolves not many teams will stop them not many teams are capable of stopping them of course they are not too good defensively but they are devastating on the counter from what we have devastating up front from what we saw today so teams we have to take it seriously teams will take them seriously they inan business especially in attack if you blink they will destroy you
