mother comes to a conclusion it ends up being so vague that you have to laugh I'm starting to watch that one with um dark hair and worry wart and crazy hair and the woman who looks at all of them like she wants to hit them with her C uh I'm going to guess Seinfeld no no the election number 29 agnetta felo for this commercial SNL creates a chance for Abba four great performers to play Abba members bth their Christmas themed sketch gives Kate McKinnon plenty of time to shine and play off of her co-stars it's even better with such talented people like Maya Rudolph Kristen wig and Bowen Yang there McKinnon's singing facial expressions and work alongside Yang make for some laugh out L [Music] moments it's a perfect way to showcase the comedian's work that can steal a scene and blend well in an ensemble you'll probably rewind this sequence to watch her change up iconic Melodies From the Swedish band or to enjoy the amazing costumes take it away [Music] Abba number 28 apologetic mother not Apologetic Mother only is is this skit funny it's also shockingly accurate Kate McKinnon plays a mother giving gifts out to her children at every turn she feels inadequate and tries to call all of her ideas terrible oh my gosh it's great a scarf I needed this thank you well no you don't but okay it's even funnier with James Austin Johnson's clueless husband making it all worse if you don't relate to this biting satire you can at least enjoy McKinnon's devoted performance I crapped in a toilet and and I wrapped it in a bag I'm sorry I'm your mother I'll send God a letter tell them to take me early she plays this woman with low self-esteem and passive aggression that can't be rivaled despite the daughter's repeated attempts to ease her worries the mom responds with outrageous behavior such as throwing items in the fire mom those were nice I am a villain I am from the wrong side of the track the lead actress really sells this part that hits close to home number 27 lindsy Graham sometimes an unlikely Lindsay Graham casting Choice works better than an obvious one this ain't no trial this ain't no due process do you know what this is Judge cenel do you know what this is this this a real question Kate McKinnon's work as Lindsay Graham proves that point giving A New Perspective to the senator she turns him into an angry and hilarious caricature during the Kavanagh hearings in one skit Graham tries to question the would be Justice in an emotional rant that'll have you howling you put this man on Supreme Court now no vote no discussion you give him a damn robe and you let him do whatever the hell he wants cuz this right now this is my audition for Mr Trump's cabinet McKinnon knows how to twist the politician into a crazed man the comedian plays him again in a later sketch rejoicing with other Republicans and throwing pies such you sticker her performance transforms from a toddler having a tantrum to a frat boy with ease number 26 Dorothy becoming Judy Garland's classic heroine Dorothy Kate McKinnon gives her all to this goofy parody but it wasn't a dream you see it was a place and you were there and you were there and you her neighbors learned that they've become the inspiration for the munchkins taking offense they start to lash out at the hero's fantasy if you're insisting it was munchkin land munchkin land so it were we funny little weirdos to make you laugh McKinnon's character tries to dig her way out and fails in hilarious fashion as the questions Mount the actress plays up her reactions in enjoyable ways her version of Dorothy is a much sillier reprise the role someday number 22 Melanie Daniels you The Birds don't have to have seen Alfred Hitchcock's the birds to love this skit this is Sheriff mcaffrey what's the emergency birs I'm sorry did you just kind of gently whisper the word birds in a parody of the classic Thriller Kate McKinnon plays the heroin trying to evade a killer flock she also gives some Priceless reactions to the dangerous situation oh no look they set fire to the gas station with help from John molan Sheriff the lead character deals with all sorts of odd behaviors from the flying enemies this all gives McKinnon a chance to make fun of the original story while acknowledging a few twists if you think the premise is crazy enough just wait until the turtles arrive the comedian plays the frightened role so well that each comic beat sings with her help is this a lesson about man's lack of respect for nature I don't know damn it I don't know just kiss me what no let notop this oh number 21 doctor we noce Dr Wenoce in this weekend update skit Kate McKinnon might just be losing her mind this ends up being a good thing for the audience we know you're highly respected in your field yes we notice Dr we notice is there to talk about Trump's Health but the Absurd character starts to crumble after using lots of short answers the comedian has trouble making it through the sketch with her goofy voice embodies the woman's badassery in absolutely ridiculous fashion oh that's a Ginsburg what's brilliant about this impression is the way that she manages to saiz The Duality of her old age and her should be the luckiest woman Mrafy alive but as it turns out she is not the chain smoker is involved in several Miracles along with her friends although her story always turns out to be a little less miraculous than the others my angel said I'm Keith hold on and then he violently yanked my soul up out of my body by the waistband my sweatpants the contrast between her dead pan performance and the other characters genuine stories brings the hilarity to these sketches she embodies the character from head to toe and her Tales are so earnestly delivered we can almost visualize them happening which brings an entirely new level of Comedy to the character I woke up in a dirty metal Dome and uh 40 little gray alien watched me pee in a steel bow and they took the ball walked out interesting let's just hope next time she's able to keep her pants number three kellyanne Conway Kate McKinnon was Kellyanne Conway invaluable to the show during the 2016 election due in large part to her impeccable impersonation of Donald Trump's counselor kellyanne Conway okay Jake so this tweet is actually taken out of context of course Mr Trump thinks that Mexicans can read and actually what he wants them to
