MarShawn Lloyd on Josh Jacobs we are all coming over here from A joshh Jacobs huddle where we heard that he dm'd you back in 2019 do you remember that moment I do when he was at Alabama it was I think it was around the time when I was getting recruited to go into college and he was he had text me and was telling me about you know Alabama that to you know keep looking into it and hopefully try to get me to Alabama but that was that was pretty fun when I when he said that to me I'm like yeah I remember that I didn't know I didn't want to bring it up to him but he had said it to me and it was pretty cool all right what's it like canting a Dean from a future NFL player uh when you're back there young yeah it was it was cool it was really cool for me now that you know we're teammates now but it was it was fun I'm young you know looking up to people like him and then he text me you know I'm saying that it was had yall connected at all since then or was this the first time in five years that was the first time that he um he's ever texted me or anything and then once we got here you know I got really close with him from there just what's it been like having him as a sounding board kind of guide you oh everything you know I follow everything pretty much he do um you know when it comes in the weight room I was just working out with him in the weight room just seeing how he do things how he worked his mindset the way he think the way he look at plays and everything he's been through it for a couple years he's been in it he's on his second contract you know me being a younger younger player I want to eventually get to there so having somebody like him to just Mentor from is pretty cool do you still have the DM on Do you still have the DM your phone could you showare it to us do I still have the DM I'm not even sure to be honest um he I think he said he has it so it probably it was a long time I probably have to scroll so so far down Did Josh Jacobs reach out to you did that happen a lot cuz you mentioned AJ I think had reached out too at one point did you you have like a lot of different running backs that have kind of reached out to you yeah so like AJ got trained by one of my running back trainers so I knew I knew of AJ for a long time but when I got drafted AJ actually sorry AJ actually text me as soon as I got drafted so that was pretty cool come in um Jordan for Tex me when I got drafted it was pretty cool I'm sorry you said this but so how did it come up once you got here like did was was it uh was it him who said wait a minute I I feel like yeah how did it work out couple days ago he just like bro you remember me texting you like 2019 I was like yeah I remember I remember you texting me we just laughed about it he's like then I say small world but now we're in the same team together but when How did you feel when you got drafted you got drafted you were like wait I'm going to be teammates with JN Jacob DM I did I definitely did and I'm super excited now it's just you know see what we can do you know in this this conference and this league I'm I'm sorry What does that mean to you if you were already asked about your big run today but when you have to sit out so many practices able to show something like that what does that mean to you it's special you know I I want to be able to be I want to have that playmaker mentality been able to you know make Defenders missing when I'm gone I'm gone that's something that I really want to showcase um a lot so just being able to be out there and actually put it into you know fruition and just allow myself to you know put that on film it's pretty cool definitely pretty cool I love that Im gone I love it when I'm gone I'm gone is that something you've said throughout your whole career or where did you get that from not it's just always I've always had the mindset no matter what I've always want to be able to um uh make a this is a running back thing you never want to be caught from behind so I just want to know like every time I get you know I go just know that I'm going what do you see on that play definitely so we One on one did like a it was a you know inside Zone um pretty much it just everything you know worked perfectly it wind it back wind it back and it was just the things that we want is one onone just one onone and then that's what makes you know you know special players being able to make a one-onone miss and just just from there just try to break away okay
