Jordan Mason and the 49ers Eye Test 2024 season opener

all right everybody how are y'all doing this is the first eye test uh episode from 2024 and I'm really excited because we got a win last night to not to jump the shark or anything like that but I was kind of lazy I didn't really feel like doing a uh pre season guess on how good everybody is because it's always bs anyway you never know what everybody looks like until you see what they look like so uh you know I wanted to wait and see what all teams did uh you know so here we go I thought that uh biggest takeaways from the game uh everybody on all the 49ers podcasts Like Larry kuger and Grant con and the coach and everybody out there uh Dave lambardi we've all known that Jordan Mason is going to be good he was good last year he had a few plays last year where he was good so and they have been screaming for him to like you know uh spell Christian mcaffrey so I'm not surprised nobody that's a 49er f is surprised you know if you were a 4900 fan you didn't know who Jordan Mason is I don't know what you've been doing uh I kind of pretty much expected him to do that the Jets for crying out loud and I know they always hype these dudes up and every single season I got to hear about you know how good the Jets are and I hope and pray that they're good one day but anybody be good like in uh you know against the 49ers the 49ers are too good of a football team for for us to be worried about them uh I wasn't worried about this game and it kind of bared out the way that it played because we literally didn't have an off season everybody TR Williams didn't show up I didn't show up maffre didn't play and we literally walked out there and like you know pretty much did what we wanted uh but things that I got from the game that I noticed you know which is sort of my thing for this uh you know that most people you know uh outside of the ex's and O I think our offensive line is GNA be really good uh everybody's been talking about puny and I heard them saying in training camp you know he's a rookie and man they were he's really really really really good uh as a rookie and we've been having problems with our offensive line that's been a weak point so I I I I think that he's gonna do more to improve this offense than a lot of people thought we ran it to the right side a lot last night more than we ever do and uh I mean You' seen what we're doing with Jordan Mason imagine when Christ Christian mcaffer gets back there and what is our offense going to look like when do you know that he can take that Kyle Shanah and can take and put Christian mcaffrey and uh Mason and Debo on the field at the same time I mean they could put Mason atack leave like mcaffrey like on a slot or something like that and have Debo and they could do like you know motion across reverse the defenses are going to be lost okay once everybody gets healthy and KY just kind of works it out it's going to be it's already a match up nightmare it is going to be really really bad I'm super excited about uh that possibility if he actually does it I totally think that it's like another new toy that he was kind of trying out um I think our defense looked more consistent and solid everybody's been saying the corners out in 49ers land everybody's been saying the corners were better and they look better uh Aaron Rogers had one really good pass but I was like man I was I was super upset as one on down the sideline where he just hit the dude straight and stride and he was like running like a wheel to Beast through a the serengetti it was it was crazy but um um I think we're better on the back end I think that uh we got pressure and I don't know if it was the the Jets offensive line or it was our defensive line I think we did better against the Run gree hall supposed to be good but he didn't do much uh so it was kind of hard to judge I just don't know how good the Jets are yet they played us and we're really good so it's kind of hard I think the Jets are going to be fine uh they're getting killed right now by everybody in the media but I mean like the 49ers are really good man I don't know what they expecting for them to do I don't care everybody oh Sol knows no Kyle Shanahan knows that defense and he's been playing against it you know and they lesser Personnel so of course you know he was going to exploit that team and be able to do things K Shanahan has a coaching advantage over Salah you know and I I think Salah will be fine I don't know about Aaron Rogers he looks like he was uh he could pass but I think if anybody gets pressure on that dude he they're gonna have a long season so I almost was thinking Tyrod Taylor looked better uh in that offense at the end moving the ball down the field just let him I don't know why no one will give him just a season to do his thing uh I am totally and completely shocked that Jake Moody made all those field goals after stressing last year about the kicking game that dude went out there and made me eat my words I know I had one of my videos where I was talking about it so I'm telling you right now Jake Moody I owe you an apology sir because I walking into this game I thought you'd be the one for sure problem we would had and you were more consistent than probably anybody on offense so I mean we have a good kicker too we already have a good everything else um let me see a you bro you're GNA hold out for some millions of dollars and everything like that I don't care you got to catch wide open balls that hit you dead in your hands man on period okay you get hit with a dime in the end zone you have to make that catch I mean that's you get you ain't get paid hundreds of dollars you get paid millions of dollars to catch the football that hit you dead in your hands like this I mean that's just it so I get it you have been practicing and stuff like that man and uh you know Brock as usual people want to keep hating oh he can't do anything because he's got Christian mcaffry well you know what Christian mcaffry wasn't in this game when Brock dud just look smooth smooth smooth that dude just out there just like throwing you threw like two bad passes that look like really kind of like okay all the rest of them were like the prettiest things I've ever seen in the whole entire history of like throwing beautiful passes down the field I was just like did he really he didn't throw it hard like a laser he just kind of just laid it up there and they were just like wide open like they forgot that iug or Jaan Jennings like catches balls on third down um so just overall I thought that you know the line did really good Brock had time and when he did get rushed a little but he did really good he was just really smart uh you know getting down throwing the ball away not forcing anything which is understated because I seen I don't for everybody that is critical of Brock pery how many bad quarterbacks and bad like Daniel Jones on the goal line throwing the most horrific interception I think I have ever seen in a game I don't know it was just like did he really just throw that pass and uh I mean there just a lot of bad quarterback CL and Brock stop there just like man you know he's not putting he's putting the ball where it needs to be in people's hands making the right reads he's good and he's making it look a lot easier than it is uh let me see let me see Deo we ran him way too much uh but I think everybody's keying on it but that's the whole point the whole point is having Deo out there make doing those runs to keep everybody honest so I think that uh you know having uh these this this first game without mcaffrey I think it was going to be fine for the offense just my my my feel and just looking at the ners they hadn't even they haven't had anybody all off season and they looked this good without practice without everybody being there you know so just imagine how good they're going to be in a few weeks um so that just let me see am I forgetting anything Fred looked all right it look good um good um um yeah kicking game okay so them just uh so where they stand for the rest of the league I watch a lot of the games things that kind of like Mahomes where Mahomes is always looking downfield while he's kind of moving around and uh so I thought the Chiefs look really really really really good I don't think Baltimore is bad they just played the Chiefs look good until love the Bears the Steelers over the Broncos like those are games by the way that absolutely nobody's trying to watch no one's trying to watch the Steelers play the Bears I mean the Steelers play the Broncos and no trying to watch the Texans and the Bears I'm sorry this just going to be bad football and then uh the Eagles over the Falcons even though everybody hyping up the Falcons I don't see them spping saquon Barkley anytime soon uh but that was just my little beginning of the Season uh first video for the eye test uh I have a cool fact I wanted to tell you guys about before I get out of here um did you know that on Monday Night Football the 49ers in Jets had a score that has never been scored before the score 32-19 has never happened in an NFL game it is the 1,85 unique score in NFL history so I thought that was pretty freaking cool and I can't believe that we've never had that score but they never had that score that's what the article said uh but peace out see you next week and
