if you get a chance The story too Heidi a 33-year-old woman and her two we old newborn baby Margot went missing on December 12th 2019 Heidi was last captured on security camera footage dropping off her six-year-old son silus at school what happened after was a mystery with an unexpected outcome this is the story of Heidi brousard in 2019 33-year-old Heidi brousard lived in the city of Austin in the state of Texas with her boyfriend Shane KY the two met when they worked at a casino in the state of Louisiana around 2010 they had their first child in 2013 named Silas despite not being legally married they considered themselves to be husband and wife Shane had a 12-year-old daughter from a previous relationship who also lived with them Heidi treated this girl as if she were her own daughter Shane's father lived in Louisiana approximately 1,400 kilm away when he fell ill in 2018 Shane decided to move so he could be close to his father Heidi was super understanding and agreed to the move without any issue the family soon adapted to their new life a few months after arriving Heidi became pregnant and on November 26th 2019 she gave birth to Margo KY her best friend called Megan fusa whom she had known for over 20 years and coincidentally was also pregnant was present at the hospital for the entire birth procedure the moment was emotional for both of them as they hadn't actually seen each other in person for a few years Heidi seemed to be enjoying life she had everything she wanted in terms of family and work her Joy was contagious and lifted the spirits of both her family and friends but as she enjoyed such good fortune she could barely have imagined that something evil was about to be visited upon her she and her daughter would become the intended victims of a cruel plan two weeks after Margo was born on December 12th 2019 Shane was due to return to work following his paternity leave he woke early got ready for work and at around 6:40 in the morning he woke up his wife before leaving Heidi prepared breakfast and got ready to take Silas to school this would be her first time driving with the baby at around 1 p.m. Shane who was working part-time returned home he noticed that Heidi's car was in the garage but when he entered she and Margot were not there at first he didn't think it was strange because he thought his wife had gone for a walk with their daughter Shane tried to call her at around 2: p.m. but her phone was turned off off he then thought that perhaps the phone was out of battery and as time passed he thought that his wife may have visited a neighbor's home in the condominium however things got strange when he received a call from silas's school the staff was worried was someone going to pick him up the school was about to close and he was the only child still waiting to be collected this was very unusual if Heidi couldn't pick up her son she would certainly make alternative Arrangements she would not leave the boy waiting Shane went to the school and when he returned home there was still no sign of Heidi or the baby Shane looked in her car and noticed that the bag with Margo's things was still inside but he could not locate her car keys or her cell phone he called Heidi's best friends her parents but no one knew anything at around 7:30 that night Shane called the police to report their The investigation disappearance Heidi would never disappear like this everyone was worried the circumstances of the case caught the attention of the media and their details were disseminated throughout the region even the FBI was called in to help as it was most unusual for a mother to disappear under such mysterious circumstances with a newborn baby on the 13th friends and family began putting up posters around the city the police knew that most of the time a person close to the victim is involved in a disappearance this led them to interrogate Shane himself and their family and friends Shane was cooperating with the investigation and made himself available to the media to provide information in addition to them many of their neighbors in the region were questioned and one of them who did not know Heidi said that he had seen a woman who had a very small baby in her arms walking towards a gray car she allegedly got in and the car drove off he stated that the person driving the car was another woman the police of course had no idea who this woman was but they already knew that she was responsible for The Disappearance and was most likely known to Heidi they began searching for this car Shane also gave an interview to a television channel he appeared nervous and lost logically the population began to compare his behavior with that of Chris Watts a case that occurred a year earlier also in the USA and which I've already brought up here on the channel Chris gave interviews asking for help to find his pregnant wife and their two daughters days later he himself was identified as the one responsible for The Disappearance of the entire family even though the police never mentioned that Shane was a suspect the media and social networks condemned him but their families didn't believe that Shane could be involved in something as ominous as this he underwent a polygraph test and no evidence of a lie was identified unlike in the Chris Watts case because of this the investigations became more confidential in their scope but the online fervor was intense Shane was attacked heavily wild theories were suggested including that the driver of the car that picked up Heidi was his secret lover the investigations continued in secrecy until they visited a suspect's house and guys you know that I try my best to bring all the details about everything but this part of the case in relation to how they found the suspect's house is so secret that it's difficult to even comprehend so that you can understand how this was such a confidential part of the investigation I will share what the investigator responsible for the case said to explain how he arrived at this suspect's house um detective Harry's will now come up and give you a briefing on the events that have taken place in this investigation over the past 24 The briefing hours the office Police Department was contacted at approximately 9 I'm sorry 7:31 p.m. on December 12th officers on scene began an investigation they searched for them both there in the complex conducted preliminary investigations and contacted me that evening on December 12th 2019 at that time a was issued that's a beyond the lookout within our department both were entered into National and Statewide databases as missing and their information was dispersed throughout the community using a reverse 911 system that reached over 4,000 people in that area their images and descriptions were released to the media later in the morning of December 12th excuse me of December 13th 2019 uh we utilized various resources and legal processes in the attempt to locate hiding and Margo this has been an ongoing process with numerous warrants that have been been approved and executed in the search for them we have spoken with family with friends with co-workers with neighbors we have canvased the areas that we know them to have been in we have done video canvases of any areas that we have beli them to have been in we conducted video surveillance in association with uh some of our federal and Statewide partners we have done extensive video collection online and social media research interviews phone calls and these investigations have gone across Texas and gone across outstate lines Nick Mick one of our partners released a nationwide flyer with images depicting Margot and Heidi as we progressed through this investigation local state and encountered an individual outside of that Resident who was detained on Thursday December 19th 2019 as the evening progressed a search warrant was issued for property on at that residence both vehicles and the residents those search warrants were signed and were carried out by the Austin Police Department Department of Public Safety and with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation as we conducted those The leak searches what was leaked in the midst of this confidential information was just a print of this house that they identified but it was an image from above from Google Maps in this image you can see a gray car the same color that the witness saw and it was with this information that things connected at the time this image was published a friend of Heidi called caressa nter was already a few minutes into an online call live on a podcast called J is for justice the broadcast was on YouTube presenter jay lynn had invited two other work friends to comment on the subject in the chat they were called Melissa and Christy so on this day December 19th everyone was online and only Jay was in the studio they talked about what had just come out on the internet and the rest of my phone I okay so I'll read you the article real quick um it says about a dozen officers from the Texas Rangers Department of Public Safety FBI and the Austin Police Department have been at a home in Northwest Harris County for hours Thursday it appears to be part of a high-profile investigation on Bo Jack Drive near Jersey Village ABC 13 counted about two dozen officers and agents at the scene an eyewitness news crew waited for what was believed to be a warrant service then around 8:15 p.m. there was movement with law enforcement going in the house but authorities seemed to be more focused on a car in the driveway in the back and this is the picture of the car it's a silver car looks like a four-door um it's a Nissan it's a Nissan parked real close to the house um so the presence of Austin Police has prompted our questions on whether this is connected to The Disappearance of Austin mother Heidi brousard and her infant daughter they haven't been seen since December 12th and told ABC13 police asked her Thursday night whether she remembers any movement here on that day the only official response from the FBI is a vague statement that the FBI is lawfully present at the location conducting a law enforcement operation so um there's couple dozen agents and officers at this house she she didn't venture out of her little bubble in Houston so we don't think this area of Houston I'm thinking northwest Houston cuz I lived in Houston too northwest Houston is more a few minutes later people started typing the address of the place as 8118 boo Jack Drive in addition to giving some names the owners of the house are Christopher green and Katie Gibbs do we know that someone said in chat do we know them no I don't that doesn't ring a bell not at all someone just said in chat that there is a baby registry to the owners of that house okay yes oh Megan Humphrey and Christopher green have a baby registry and where oh my God that's Megan's house oh my God oh my God what what that Megan her best friend that met her at church camp with me what she would not be there well that's what they're coming up and Megan Hume no Megan just I'm saying Heidi would not would not be there Megan I've talked to Megan every day all day she's been like sick over this she's she just had a baby and she's breastfeeding she had to go specialist a y g that's why I I was going to ask you did you there in the room when Heidi had Margot she was in the bir room saying see her baby wait wait wait did you see her baby did you see Megan's baby I haven't seen pictures of her but it's a girl yes oh what was said but most likely the presenter received some confidential information about the case the transmission returned seconds later so how did someone discover that that address was in the name of Heidi's friend they found the address on the Amazon website in the gift list section on the Amazon website if someone is having a baby getting married or something like that and would like specific gifts they can make a list of products on the website and people buy items for them as presents the listing linked to a shipping address was for a baby shower in the name of Baby Luna and parents Christopher green and Megan Humphrey even though Megan had the last name Fiera Musa even with that different last name Karissa managed to connect the dots and provide the information that helped all the pieces connect well you can already imagine what occurred next on the 19th Megan received a visit from the police she was holding her her daughter Luna on her lap and told police that she was born on December 12th exactly the day Heidi disappeared they asked several questions about the baby but she seemed very confused not even knowing how to answer where her daughter was born she said it was at a birthing center but she didn't know the name a search was carried out inside the house but nothing was found when they opened the truck of Megan's car they found a huge travel suitcase and inside it unfortunately was Heidi's body it was later confirmed that the cause of death was Suffocation the police were certain that the baby was Margo and that Megan had killed her friend to steal the baby Margo was taken to the hospital where she was found to be fine and then taken into the custody of Social Services until DNA tests confirmed her identity after a few days it was confirmed that the baby was indeed Margo finally Shane unfairly Accused by the local population got his daughter Accused back Megan was initially charged with kidnapping and hiding a corpse but not with murder this was because the police suspected that someone else was involved Christopher green the man identified as the child's father on Amazon was also the owner of the house where she was found during his interrogation he confirmed that Megan was his ex-girlfriend they had broken up in March of that year days later she told him that she was pregnant with his baby and wanted to reunite he did not agree to this but he also couldn't abandon her she was out of work and he had this house to rent so he agreed to let her live there rentree until things were sorted out on December 12th she told him that she was going to the beach but on the 13th she appeared with the baby saying that she had returned from the birth center the police confirmed Christopher's Alibi and eliminated him as a suspect investigations continued and it was discovered that she had registered a baby on the internet as her and Christopher's daughter there were more than 150 Google searches with Heidi's name and also searches on when the police would activate an amber alert which is the national alert issued when there are cases of missing children the police no longer had any doubts that Megan had killed Heidi to steal her baby and 5 weeks after her arrest she was officially charged with the intentional homicide of her 20-year-old friend Heidi brousard there was a theory that Megan had planned the whole thing from the beginning physically isolating and lying to everyone about her pregnancy but theories are not proof and the prosecution was trying to collect as much evidence as possible to lock her up in prison for the rest of her life on February 2023 during her trial Morgan Fiera Musa pleaded guilty to the murder of Heidi brousard she was sentenced to 55 years in prison with the possibility of parole after 28 years today Margo is well but unfortunately she will grow up without her mother's presence due to the fact Heidi's friend of over 20 years took her life to steal her baby [Music] we
