TOM CANNON TO BLACKBURN ROVERS??!

so 2023 2024 season is over folks and bman rers will be back in this division next season and since the final whistle on the match against Leicester city we've already seen some links for Rovers players next campaign who am I talking about I got a striker and he's linked to Ewood and I'm going to talk about him next [Music] that's right folks back once again with another transfer rumor video that's right as Rover uh already started to be linked with players for next season's campaign of course we secured our survival with John eustus at the helm and of course a rebuild is needed at BL bur Rovers of course couple of players already linked and we'll talk about those in just a second of course big big shout out once again to the VIPs they are the patrons and if you're new where you've been smash your subscribe boys and girls and yes they're final whistle has gone on Rover's campaign and by the skin of our teeth by a hook by crook we will be back in the championship next season and our final game was up against Leicester city that's right the champions of course and we did win on the final day one player though that was not there or was not involved in that game on Leicester City's side was a was a striker of course a striker that leester City bought in the summer for quite a chunk of change of course and that is Tom Cannon now that's right Tom Cannon uh Championship experience with his time at Preston and of course on the books at leester currently uh doubtful he will make the grade with them next season and already the likes of Preston ofan and blackb rers have been linked with making a move for the fella on loan that's right of course not a permanent deal but uh a potential loan offering uh so I thought I'd do a video on the guy what he is who he is and really really really he fit uh Blackman Rovers in uh the championship next season well let's take a closer deep dive into this one then shall we so of course here he is it was posted just 20 hours ago it's 24 hours old not even that and it was originally posted by this is actually a kind of like a uh repeated article it's actually broke by um um Alan Nixon I think uh who does do a lot of who was a journalist respective journalist he posted on his patreon and of course this is a a redo of that uh that that posting but here of course was the source uh so if you believe it or not it's coming from him so that you know this is a bit of an overview on that feel free to check that out but let's take a deep dive into the player himself and of course what he will bring to Blackburn Rover so here he is of course handsome fell indeed and he is a striker not a Winger a striker of course and we've got to understand now as blackb Rovers uh this is going to be uh a season of change for Rovers whether it's Personnel playing style the lot of course we ended up the season pretty much just it was all defensive quarters uh at all Hands-On deck sort of kitchen sink stuff at the back but now a chance for a summer a rebuild perhaps uh a change of philosophy change of play uh and of course Tom Cannon initially off the out the box should be a great fit for any club especially uh especially a club of Blackman Rover uh uh uh uh trajectory really because we have been relying on goals from Sam smch that's no question folks and our current Strikers uh Aran Gallagher Samir toich and a couple of a couple of youngsters by the name of Harry Leonard Jack Vil and Cole the like the chances of all four of those players getting minutes next season for blackb rovers are very very slim let's take a another close look at him of course does play down the middle of course and and currently on the books at Leicester his strengths are through balls finishing of course weaknesses holding on to the ball passing offside awareness but he is still a youngster and of course we'll talk about his age and his attributes in a minute his style play is counter attack which of course is what we will be doing next season likelihood uh with building off the foundations of our defensive uh uh um brick walls that we were we we we we sort of relied upon last season for our survival building on that uh and then hopefully creating a style of play uh which is uh both effective and of course uh able to break down some teams and he does like to dribble so let's take a more detail here he is once again in the blue of Leicester of course and his heat map for the season season as you can see uh looks like he opts for the left hand side to the to the right and of course uh very much a forward player not hardly ever in the defensive ranks of course let take a look at his his his his uh stats for the year played 13 matches started thir three of them uh and averaging around about 33 Point 33 minutes per game he scored just two goals now I think that is just in the league uh with expected goals of 1.54 scoring frequency of 212 uh with goals per game upward to etc etc you can see them down here one goal from outside the box one goal from inside the box so he's got a he's got a shot on him he just hasn't had a chance to uh to really uh use those skills now you got to understand that Tom Canon came into a Leicester city Side who were expected the challenge were expected to get promoted they had a record breaking Jamie V at the top Kelch ichio they've got the other fella from uh from uh another Striker Daka you know all ahead of him and of course all all tried and trusted players who have scored ridiculous goals uh already in the Premier League and of course in international leagues around the world so it was always going to be a uh a tough challenge for Tom Canon and now they are back in the Premier League this the chances of him featuring ahead of aard ahead of Al Chino and of course a Daka are also still very very much slim let's get back into the stats then of course quick look at his other attributes passing of course just the one assist this season expected assist .55 touches 11.2 big chances created and of course defending is not that great in his brief uh cameos of course just the one yellow again across those stats there uh of course uh actually can see his stats by Club over the years we're going to bring them all up there on the screen for you right now of course formerly of the Everton Academy there scored a hatful of goals for that under 23s same could be said for the under under 18s he did go to Preston and was very very much successful in a championship campaign scoring eight goals in 21 games that of course alerted Preston they were of course interested in the fella last season and they were were prepared to spend a bit of money and that's why they are back once again they know him they know that he's he's a he's a he's a top quality player for this division uh and of course they they were willing to put their money with them mouth there last campaign are they willing to put the money with them mouth there this campaign or is this a straight up and down loan deal uh of course I think rovers are looking at a loan the the the the article itself says loan uh I think the the money invested by Leicester is something that they want to recoup and I think even no matter who goes and who stays at black B Rovers I don't think we're going to throw 7 million pounds on a striker again anytime soon let's go back to the stats then of course eight goals in 21 games three goals scored in total for uh for the F at Leicester and he did make four senior appearances for Everton but no goals and as you can see he scored 10 goals in total in his 33 championship games two assists which of course is one in every three and of course he is in the Irish uh the sort of Playbook here of course he's yet to get a senior cap but he has played a couple of times uh or at least one time for the under 21 with a goal so I do expect him to break into that team eventually and as you can see he is ranked 16th among all Plus at lesser 13th among Irish players uh of course 306th as they sent it Forward 175th as players born in 2002 uh etc etc of course well let's take a look at this value over time he has of course uh when he was at prestent on loan value around about 3 million of course they picked him up on loan at Everton of course he returned to Everton and his value did go up a little bit and again leester did chug cough up a good six to eight million I believe in the end over Everton Who Sold sold him and Sims at the pretty much the same SE summer uh of course both both youngsters doing you know reasonably well in the championship but of course currently we do have sand Galler on our books with an option on the table of course if we were to keep gallager of course he was or if we were to either sell him or or or of course if we were add him to our ranks Tom Tom cannon with Sam gallager what kind of comparisons can we make between these two well have a little look at it of course here they two are under the microscope gallaga is now 28 years of age he will be 29 at the start of the season of course Tom K and that is a player that's an age where players should be hitting their Prime and we I don't think we've got the prime numbers uh from gallaga this season Tom still 21 will be 22 later in the calendar year of course uh height-wise Galaga wins that one 1.93 but really we don't really see the the the benefits of that height in an attacking sense don't get me wrong gallaga does uh uh uh offer some you know um you know defensive qualities in his height and and I think we've seen that more than we have in his attacking venue we did have a little bit of chat a couple of the guys and I yesterday about the future of some of these players etc etc and somebody brought up the the notion that maybe just maybe Sam Galla could maybe do a Chris Sutton of course Chris Sutton way back when was a a phenomenal Striker for Blackman rers but towards the end of his career he did play as a Defender for the Chelsea and the Celtics of this world so maybe gallaga could rethink that over the summer use his height to a better feature for us because we are screaming out for Defenders uh and of course right now uh his height his his uh his never say Dia attitude for the club cannot be questioned it's just as a striker we're not getting the best out of him at the moment maybe he could be a universal player for us uh anyway regardless of all that of course uh two two players of of sort of differing statures here Cannon uh pretty much straight up and down a center forward gallaga with Center forward in his in his in his veins but uh been been used as all all sorts and all sizes at the moment of course I look look at the values then of course Gallagher's really stored around about three and a half million and now going towards back back on a backwards trajectory now back down to 2 million whereas uh Canon of of course shot up to 8 million uh in value uh now on the decrease because of a bit of a uneventful season quickly at the numbers then uh for both of these two Strikers of course uh Tom Canon 62 goals scored in 138 uh matches where Sam gallager scoring 65 goals in 348 matches so uh you know you could do the quick math there what are we looking at it's definitely better gold game ratio for Tom Cannon they're pretty much one every two whereas Gallagher's maybe one every five or something like that uh give or take a quick uh glance at those numbers of course those are uh it don't include uh um you know Premier League 2 you know Academy games and things like that but that's the rough uh edge of the tape but rers have been linked and hopefully will continue to be linked with this guy Duncan Maguire of course so Tom Canon and Duncan Maguire are they competing for the same shirt right now in a in of course related to the rumors well if so let's take a look at those players then in comparison Don maggu is a couple of years senior to Tom K turning 23 in February is a little bit taller of course uh and of course uh playing for the international side for America both valued around about the same time give or take of course those numbers were were quoted around about the same time towards March this year both playing down the middle as well value is again like like the pretty much like for like and of course the numbers though do do uh uh uh give some serious thought for Duncan McGuire scor 20 professional MLS goals uh or for um Orlando in 49 matches that's pretty much a goal every two uh whereas Tom Cannon is still you know just not not a little bit off that uh one every two and a half perhaps so Food For Thought for there for for us Rovers fans as the rumor mill starts um with players coming into the club for me if we're going to of course go with a gut take on this one yeah I think I think realistically we don't need one Striker here we need a couple Strikers and of course if that's the caliber that we're talking about if we are to get a Duncan Maguire and a Tom Cannon maybe Duncan Maguire on a permanent and a Tom Canon on a loan I think already straight off the bat uh we're looking at this the 6th of May get those deals over the line right here right now I think we're good I think our striking Department would be solid I also would then consider Sam gallad to remain as a more aerial threat and potentially of course a utility player in some capacities and again maybe low out the likes of Samir talovich Harry Leonard and of course rely on those three strikes uh and of course then put focus on other areas of the field so yeah of course already nice and early the loans or the rumors are there but the proof is in the pudding and of course for me as a Rovers fan D it's a one that's really been put through the mill and we all have we all have been put for the mail I think I would like to see Rovers make their transfer business early early doors get it done if possible if possible I know that's that's very difficult with the financial restraints we have but we do have some money that we generated last campaign and we're likely to get some more money with of course the eventual sell of ass Sami smic later on in the summer so uh let's hope uh we can we can somehow get some some uh some transfer deals done and I would really like it to be in the Striking department so the jury is out I'd love to see Tom cannon in on loan uh and it would be a major coup for us uh this season as well with the likes of Preston who have got some quality Strikers already on the books they a good season themselves but we definitely need u a major uh reinforcement both ends of the field but anyway that's of course the first rumor already i' I try and keep to bang up to date with each and every transfer rumor that comes around for
