One, Last Fantasy Football Draft This Summer

happy Saturday my good people today's video is going to be a little bit different and you're going to have to bear with me as I set up the infrastructure of this live stream uh we're going to do a mock draft as always Underdog Fantasy 12 teamer we're in the marathon tournament right now I think we need like four more people to get in there for me to start the draft so I'm gonna be drafting in the background over here all right so I'll keep up today as we're drafting I'll put the draft board on there as it starts uh but the entire video pretty much is going to be answering y'all's questions so anything you want to know about in the whole world I don't care if it's football related if it's fantasy related if it's life related if it's margarita related if it's [ __ ] fish filet related it doesn't matter to me anything you want this entire video is pretty much going to be uh just answering any questions that y'all have so as they roll in I'll throw them up on the screen and um and then then 14 team full PPR picking at the 109 who should I Target at that pick uh I mean if you have an idea of who's going to be left there that would be phenomenal if one of like the top running backs the Bree halls or the beon fall there we're going to scoop that up in a home type league but I'm also happy with the top tier of wide receivers if we're looking at the 109 you know you've got CAC bjan Bree so that's three and then you've got the big I think six receivers I think there's a really good chance that Jamar chase ends up falling to you here okay so I think if it's uh you know cidd lamb Tyreek Hill uh Amar rosing Brown Justin Jefferson Jamar Chase and I'm forgetting someone for some reason but there's there's five or six in that tier where I would just take the bottom of that tier in a full PPR league and and and run with it do you like I'm on Ross Brown at three yes I do he is well he's my third ranked wide receiver okay he is the wide receiver three for me especially in full PPR um oops that's not what I wanted to do he's about as safe as they come in my opinion uh this this offense in Detroit's about as safe as they can come as well pause they have about a billion games in the dome this year 15 of their first 16 games are inside which is huge for baby hands jarro Goff because he needs that type of weather he needs that type of protection and I'm on Ross St Brown is just only getting better man you know what I'm saying can we lock these things oh we can beautiful let's lock it let's lock let's lock [ __ ] every up let's Tyler lock at everything on the screen J chuba or lad for my last Flex spot oh so we talking week one week one rankings already um so I'm gonna be honest I'm still kind of in draft mode I won't be in week one rankings mode in terms of like understanding and knowing all the matchups off the top of my head um until until we really jump into this week okay we're sitting here at the 109 and you don't get a lot of Justin Jefferson down here so I'm happy to take him um my thinking is chuba I think Carolina has a nice match up in week one if I'm not mistaken I just think he was a really good pick because I know their early season schedule for the Panthers in their run game was super [ __ ] generous all right they play the Saints who have you know naturally just like a pretty good defense year in and year out but they're they're just a bad team overall uh the Panthers though for the first six weeks they got the Saints the Chargers the Raiders the Bengals the Bears the Falcons the commanders like that's as juicy as they come that's juicier than some goddamn pulped up OJ draft board bigger can you guys not see this is this not is this not big enough let me uh all right let me make it bigger your wish is my command I'll just drafted on Thursday we drafted our league on Thursday in the office we had all the bdg members we had all the Snapback members uh that already took place we posted pictures of the draft board on Twitter and Instagram we will have the draft Vlog go live the day that the NFL season kicks off so on Thursday things get spicy your idiot League mates kicks off on Thursday we're almost back up at the 204 what does bdg stand for love that big dongs Gotta Eat oh my God uh Nick I'm tucked in fully torque got asrb in my live draft at 107 love that for you man running backs are going crazy high right now the uh the vibe is completely shifted in Underdog drafts now I'm sitting here at the 204 you don't really get to see a lot of Marv Harrison down here so I will gladly scoop his ass up another pause Nick are you taking Bree or Aman ra at four so I actually in in the league that we just drafted I had the 109 and I took Bree Hall as my first pick while I'm on Ross Brown was on the board still he almost fell to the 204 he was I think the first pick the the pick right before me so I took Bree over Aman RA in full PPR I I recently moved Bree all the way up you know to the [ __ ] moon at this point um I took the first running back off the board and it was Bree Hall over seac so take that for what you want I this offense is every single play is going to be Bree Hall and Garett Wilson and their offensive line is as deep as it's ever been um you know they brought in Tyron Smith they used the first round pick on the o line so if they can stay healthy we out you here your thoughts on taking Bree Hall first overall there it is you just heard it I'm okay with it what do you think about Zero running back strategy for a late pick number 12 I don't hate it because in like regular leagues home leagues most of the top backs are going to be off the board by Pick 12 um so it's difficult for you to get anyone at Value there and if if you're sitting there at 12 and it's a home League where you know four or five running backs go off the board already and you and you can double tap like AJ Brown and and Aman ra or AJ Brown and like one of those types of players I would be super fine with that I don't know if I'd go zero RB strategy overall it really depends on uh how the board plays out first Super Chat why is there a 50 character M you buy the V hype who's V I don't even know who oh V is I literally just heard this name for the first time um like two days ago he's a Broncos Receiver right I don't buy any hype in in Denver outside of the ones that I actually [ __ ] know are are kind of good at football which is courland Sutton Javon Williams um Devon V 64 203 undrafted 26y old certainly athletic as [ __ ] pretty [ __ ] bad in college I don't know enough of his history to be honest with he played five years in college uh never had more than 700 receiving yards I'll I'll have to look into him a little bit more but I don't know much about him so I can't be out here just yelling fake things what else we got going on here all my home leagues are superflex good it's how they should be I'm the 102 and a two wide receiver two running back Flex 12 man uh I didn't hear a scoring setting you guys can get specific as possible as you want with these things uh lammer Hill I'm leaning towards lamb and hoping for peo at the 21 honestly that it just doesn't matter like Hill and lamb are both going to be heroes this year and legendary and neither of them are going to lose you your team if you feel better about Tyreek Hill because he's done it back toback years and lamb you know lamb might have that hold out hammy oh okay so we're in the third I'm just goingon to take Mike Evans here and we've got three wide receivers to start the draft we love that um P at the 21 is cool again it's really it's hard for me to just like pinpoint who the [ __ ] y'all should take I have no idea how the draft board plays out so so yeah lammer Hill's fine at the wide receiver there um I wouldn't overthink it pick pick your guy I personally like Tyreek Hill a little bit more but again like I if I have cd land I'll I'll be okay there pcho I mean like you'll probably have a pick between I don't know Kyon Williams maybe and that point I would probably just go off the rankings Xavier Legette a sleeper I like Xavier Legette but I don't really see uh a path towards success this year from like a fantasy ceiling when we've watched the preseason so far we didn't get a lot with Bryce young but we got to see um last game pre-season week three where Bryce young played a lot of snaps and we had Deontay Johnson obviously running all the snaps then we had Adam thielen running the second most snaps right behind him and then I actually think Jonathan Mingo far out played Xavier Legette so right now it feels like Xavier Legette is the four and it doesn't mean he can't um you know go higher and break into the lineup eventually but I just think the pecking order is is pretty veteran heavy right now and this is also like another reason we just don't like Jonathan Brooks that much not because of the talent but like how many touchdown opportunities is this team gonna offer like Bryce young might throw for 16 touchdowns this year he might pass for you know 206 yards a game so the overall offense is what makes me more nervous than Legette so I'm not I just would rather not buy into a player that's attached to this offense all right so we're back up and wow okay so the ADP has swung really heavy towards like home leagues I think the reason that there's so many running backs going much higher than normal is because a lot of people that are playing in normal leagues at this point have now jumped into these drafts so you don't normally see like the Diggs Pitman Higgins here available uh leapor usually never drops this far either we're going to wait on that though we can't get momes I think I'm going to grab momes here and then see if like a t or James Cook or someone Falls to me in the next round for my rb1 or my wide receiver four what players are heavily falling in half PPR compared to full PPR good question um off the top of my head it would be guys like a Deontay Johnson who will be likely the focal point of their offense but they're in offenses that we don't expect to score a lot of points so Deontay Johnson might catch you know five six seven passes a game 50 60 70 yards a game but ultimately when you look at like the over unders of touchdowns probably around like three and a half to four and a half I actually think this this is a good use case for the video that I just put out yesterday when it was like 15 I think the title was 15 Secrets Vegas is telling us about the fantasy season if you go on the underdog app and you go to pick them the pick them tab on the bottom and on the top you hit NFL season so you'll be able to see I don't know if yall can see that NFL season right there uh you can type in receiving touchdowns and then you could start to look at receivers and dudes whose receiving touchdown lines are really really low but in your mind you kind of think of them as big time pass catchers so like Keenan probably catch a decent amount of passes but his touchdown line is only four and a half so he's a dude that I'm like okay full PPR you know and it seems obvious right like a Keenan Allen of course full PPR he's much better than half PPR Michael Pitman another guy full PPR much better than half PPR um those are the those are the guys I'm thinking about the ones that are likely going to catch a lot of passes but the overall upside of their offense kind of caps them from scoring more than like five or six touchdowns in the year I down hey Nick does your strategy change at all in cumulative points superflex half PPR for running back one cumulative points so you're talking about just overall like there are no matchups it's not like it counts it's not all the points on your bench you still set a starting lineup and then it counts all of the points from AC across the whole year um you still make sit start decisions right there's it's not like best ball that's the case no I mean at the end of the day I I don't think anything and I haven't really thought too deeply about this honestly so maybe I'm giving a bad answer but every single week you're trying to start the best team right like you'd never go into a normal fantasy week if it's a matchup or head-to-head where you're like your number one objective is not let me score the most amount of fantasy points humanly possible for this week with that's what you're trying to do for cumulative points too so I don't see a world and and again maybe I'm overthinking it or underthinking it but uh I I don't think anything would change much in my mind here maybe it's nice to have um maybe it's nice to have more upsider ceiling players and the off chance that you're down a lot of points like at the end of the year and you just want to try to send it CU it's not like wins and losses matter it's more important to have um the points and maybe if you're down you're like all right let me just throw the [ __ ] dude in my lineup who like could score 30 40 points this week but feels like that's kind of like you know you're splitting hairs there so I'm not over the moon about that type of strategy all right so we're in round six we haven't taken a running back yet D Kade is still there I typically want to leave the drafts with that type of player I don't have a lot of Mixon I think I'm G to play I think I'm going to grab Mixon here and just figure out my tight end after like I could still get George killer Kyle Pitts on the turn I think at the next uh the next pick yeah well King Kade was the next pick of course Cole he said uh 12 team PPR how's the team from pick nine we got quarterback Richardson uh good start and Stafford is a nice little back up there running back JT love that and then you got phenomenal rb2s so you went like hero RB there you got Montgomery Pard Ford Chase Brown to a t that's beautiful you got Kelsey as your tight end one is beautiful you got Chase cup rice Addison yosias yeah I [ __ ] with your team a lot that's a really I don't see any holes in your lineup as long as Richardson somehow doesn't just completely flame out you have uh a really really solid lineup Richardson JT your choice of rb2 Chase cup rice Kelsey yeah well done well done Coy baby [Music] what do we got I know you've been huge on kir all summer would you still take him over Peko etn cook in round two um let me check where my rank I'm pretty sure I still have him as the RB I I didn't move him because of the punt return news if anyone was curious um little fun fact Kiren was the pun returner last year for like the first month to the season so they've always wanted to use him in that role um I don't think this is that big of a deal most people so far overestimate the sorry let me make my pick right quick hey down want to take KD possibly these Keenan Allen's actually really dipping here I haven't seen him fall into like the six in quite a while but again this is half PPR so we lose a little bit of value do we grab our rb2 I'm going to grab KD here and solidify my tight end spot um so yeah I have Kiron over him uh Cooper cup was the punt returner for the Rams when he went for 19900 yards uh it it feels like what McVey said when he was like we want to get our really really talented players the ball as much as possible that would back that up that would that would confirm what he was saying given Cooper cup was the punt returner it's also like so overestimated how many punt returns players actually have in a given year uh in a given game last year and I tweeted this so if you're following me on Twitter Nick erano um probably already seen this but last year there were three players in the entire NFL that averaged two punt returns a game or more everything is fair caught for the most part and if it's not fair caught it's usually like a six to eight yard return it won't hurt his conditioning do I think it's a little bit weird that kirn's playing pun return yeah but it's not something that's scaring me off of Kiron or pushing him down the rank I think the vibe is a little bit weird there like why put your running back at risk if um if he's that valuable to your team overall but I get the sentiment put our best players back there he was the punt returner for the first month of the season last year they just didn't have a backup running back behind him uh so they probably pulled him for that reason Cooper cut did it it's 1900 yard year like I I'm I think this has been so far [ __ ] overblown out a out of propor propes just Debbie what's up yo Nikki baby start two running backs start three wide receivers oh boy uh I'm sorry if you guys are going to do I will answer this I will try to answer this for you this is not a good stream for me to do sit starts right now because I don't have my week one information available for me I have not even made my week one rankings yet so off the top of my head I don't actually know the matchups perfectly like I know bejan's against Pittsburgh I know Vegas I don't know them all right off the rip so I'm not going to be able to answer this well for you so please don't super chat with uh lineup questions for this really strong bench I I'm not overly like in love with David and joku so I think that's probably the weakest part of your lineup when you say mo who am I overthinking right now who is the flex here for any of this happening in real life there's no nothing's going to change so the prices will keep going up and down like everyone keeps you know it spikes but it to no end it spikes for now until nothing actually happens with crypto and then it goes back down so until there's like everyday usage for this type of technology which I agree there should be and there will be in the future there just isn't right now so stop trying to force what is not there to act like it is I would love to invest in crypto if I felt like it was a practical use case right now but it's not no one's using crypto to go buy their [ __ ] their their grocery shopping uh list at the goddamn Supermarket let's get Tony P here we got our rb2 it's my home League's first year doing super Flex I'm worried that if I get an early pick and taking a leite quarterback it's possible that nobody else does first- round quarterbacks I'll miss out on a lot of running back wide receiver value so Canelo this is a this is a good point I think this happens in a lot of super Flex leagues when it's home leagues I would not uh if it's if it's Sixpoint per passing touchdown I would abs absolutely double down on the two best quarterbacks that you can get if no one else is taking them if it's a smaller league if it's an eight or 10 Team league it will be less important for you to go all the way in on quarterbacks if it is a 12 14 whatever the bigger the league gets the more important that the um the more important that getting two quarterbacks is but there is a bit of like you know follow the market you're not going to regret having a top nqb I'll tell you that so if you take an elite quarterback you won't regret having that if you have Patrick Mahomes and you end up getting [ __ ] Jordan love on the back end I promise you won't regret that I wouldn't I wouldn't over worry about it and the more valuable quarterbacks are the bigger the league is the more you should focus on getting those QBs is coing for superflex worth a flyer what Jacob coing oh for Sam Fran I thought it was super Flex I was like why would the 5 foot eight receiver for the 49ers be a good super Flex option um is he worth a flyer not in redraft no definitely not I mean auk's resigned back I like him in Dynasty I think he's a really good Shifty player I think in the offseason during my dynasty videos when I was making them uh I said if there was a tank Dell in this year's class that it felt like it would be Jacob coing on the premise that auk or Debo were moved by the start of the season so I don't really see uh I don't really see a world where he's impactful whatsoever this year I just like him as a player though Rolland Roland all right he got he got his [ __ ] in um 12 te PPR tight end premium two Flex Stroud Nicks uh Kiren Kenneth Zeke chuba Lloyd Tai Chandler Tyreek DJ Moore Kirk Keenan Allen Sutton Gabe uh Kelce first two super long all right tight end premium it's nice to have Kelsey there obviously um Keenan Sutton Gabe I'm not a huge fan of you went very like veteran heavy which I might have leaned a little bit more towards the youth here to have a little bit more upside strauss's obviously a nice start there there aren't any Stacks but I do like your I like your running back room for now we'll see if Lloyd and Chandler mean anything um we'll see if dvin Cook impact Zeke at all I don't really think that's the case I think they're both kind of dusty but Zeke is less Dusty and more reliable chuba I really like for the first six or seven weeks of the Season though um I do really like the wide receiver room in PPR and then obviously having Kel and a tight end premium is kind of sexy how you D it's all good good pandemic Jones this is a safe space for for the people that think they're smart as well as the people just getting back into he said I've been slacking our research this year so I apologize this is a dumb question but is Marvin Harrison gonna be good I try to stay away from rookies most of the time this is the dumbest [ __ ] question I've actually ever seen oh [ __ ] I'm on the clock all right dehop really they got they got dehop going deep into the hundred no I'm [ __ ] with you um super fair question like obviously if you're just getting back into fantasy you're not going to be familiar with the rookie and the rookie class coming in Marvin Harrison is going to be fantastic he's going to be spectacular out the gate uh I fully expect him to be on the trajectory of a you know one of the Jamar Chase just Justin Jefferson type rookie Seasons he is that good as a prospect he was the number four overall pick those types of players that early very rarely Miss especially as rookies and he is going into a spot where Kyler Murray is now two years removed from the ACL should be fully healthy had that offense in command towards the second half of last year and they have I think the six most targets available at the wide receiver position entering the year so he's going to walk into one he's he's huge he's got size speed agility hand ball control he's got it all and he's going to be walking into a situation where he should see 130 140 targets off the rip so uh yeah he is not a rookie wide receiver that I'd be staying away from by any means in these drafts he goes really early I just got him at the two I actually just drafted him this is my team right now we can walk through it I got Justin Jefferson at the 109 Marvin Harrison at the 24 Evans at the 39 Mahomes at the 44 Joe Mixon at the 5'9 KD at the 64 btj at the 79 another rookie who is a nice upside play in Jacksonville uh Tony Pard at the 84 DeAndre Hopkins at the 99 so I got mhj at the 204 which is actually late for these drafts but it's probably around uh normal spot for your home League okay so we are back up uh we've got our quarterback we've got a tight end don't really need a backup tight end right now uh oh Taj Spears down at the 104 that's that's that's kind of nice I don't get him too often I'm gonna go Taj as my rb3 here oh [ __ ] I just realized I poed too okay that's kind of weird but I'm going way too into Tennessee holy [ __ ] I didn't realize I have three Tennessee players which means I'm gonna grab will Levis at some point and just stack that team so I took the backfield of Tony Pard and Taj which in a vacuum I don't hate I like both players I think they're both good value players uh and I would like to leave my draft with one of them typically in best ball it's not a great strategy because that means like you're not deciding sit start right like that means you have Auto One Less kind of roster spot probably doing something good for you because one of them is g to have a bad week if the other one has a good week so you don't have a chance like double down on the upside so I would not suggest that in best ball I'm just a [ __ ] [ __ ] uh but I would be more open to it in the real type of fantasy leagues probably uh probably don't pick three Titans players in a row though probably just don't do that you know what I'm saying hero RB this year yep in the league that we just drafted in the office I took Bree Hall at the 109 and then I didn't take another player until Rashad white in the seventh round so I'm with it do you need like a perfectly drafted team to get into the top whatever percent it is to get the money okay so the money structure in this tournament per se is let me pull it up you get paid all the way from first place down to 5,000 5000 Place uh there will be 92,000 entries into this so you don't necessarily need to have a perfect team what you need to do is really hit in the playoff weeks so like if you advance into week uh I think it's I think playoffs start in week 15 or 14 actually I think this one might be cumulative the marathon um okay this one actually is cumulative so you just need to have a really [ __ ] good team most of the tournaments on Underdog though are like you get into the playoffs and then there's you know a select like a thousand people advance to the playoffs you need to be top 500 or top 100 that week so it's like it's obviously you need to have a really good regular season team but then you also need to have the players that do really good in week 14 15 16 17 whatever the playoff weeks are um so like doing a little bit of research in advance if you're going to play in those big tournaments like beste Ball Mania where the last couple weeks are so important like knowing the good matchups there you might lean to draft guys like that sorry guys there's so many super chats I well produced they're all I'm at the point now where I pick tattoos based on like one of two reasons I either see a cool design and I'm like I want that or I'll look like somewhere on my body and say I want to fill that spot now let me find a design that I kind of like that also fits it like for instance if I'm if I'm looking at my arm there's like a there's like a big gap back here so I'm probably gonna get something small back here and just kind of keep moving up and down my body that way can't really do a drive-thru on the on the tattoos the first one I ever got is on my thigh it's the worst tattoo you've ever heard of SL scene which is why I'm not going to tell you about it but me and three of my friends were drunk on the seaside boardwalk down in Jersey and got it together um and then ever since I got that one it's just been off to the [ __ ] races and when is J Tinder going to be J J just locked in right now J's just locked in on life he's he's grinding he's working he's you have a few guys on my Rost on the roster that I don't particularly love like I don't I don't think there's a ton of ceiling with a as a Falcons fan I am just like don't believe the hype on Drake London I think he's a great player but like where he goes people act as if he's already like a top [ __ ] six fantasy receiver and then neighbors I don't really want to attach my fantasy receivers you have a lot of really solid depth at receiver like I love rashy rice as well you pick some really high up upside younger players in Coleman and jsn uh I just personally don't love all those receivers if I have faded some of the running backs like it looks like you kind of did where James Cook is your one so it kind of feels like you didn't get enough upside at one of these positions in my opinion but you have you have good depth so I think you can make it work I have the 13th pick in a 14-man league but it's only one running back half PPR League how what should I consider doing at the one two turn you only start one running back um if that's the case I don't I don't know that I'd be overly concerned like unless one of the top top top dudes fall to you I think I think I'd be fine fading the position a little bit and just scaming up like three or four of them that you feel confident in that you could just stream based on matchups you could take three three guys that are like the goal line running backs for their team and whoever has like the best matchup that week whoever's team is favored to win by the most will very likely get goal line opportunities that week and that I think that's that's that's a really interesting league setup it's almost like streaming running back so I wouldn't force a pick at running back you know if you get to the 13th pick and [ __ ] bejan is still sitting there or something like that or even like maybe JT I'm cool with that if not I would I would be like kind of okay streaming the position which sounds kind of crazy but and and half PPR since it's not full PPR it's even more touchdown dependent so like those like the David Montgomery types would probably be even more valuable in this league so I keep an eye on like players on really good teams that have very high touchdown upside 12 team two PPR Flex Kyler beon aan Harris Brown Collins sorry guys like I I don't know all the week one matchups off the top of my head oh are you just is like if your if your quarterback has a really early buy you know like a week five week four week five buy uh and there's another QB that has a really favorable matchup that early in the year maybe it's worth doing it uh if you end up drafting if your one quarterback is someone that doesn't have super high upside is like the QB 11 or 13 like a like a Jared Goff there might be some Merit to to you know stashing a more High upside player on the bench otherwise if I feel comfortable with my first quarterback though I'm probably not using a second uh spot on my bench unless like it's like if I take if I take like uh Herz or something like that but then Caleb Falls to like the 15th round I might do that but otherwise if I feel good with my first quarterback I'm probably fine not using a approach any 14 team draft versus 12 Man One Flex PPR I I don't really look at it too too differently to be honest with you um especially if it's not like any crazy settings if it's not superflex uh if it's not tight end premium or anything like that that would make me want to make sure that I Shore up those positions but in a 14 team or 12 I think we're looking at like what are the what are the most topheavy positions and maybe we're trying to draft those guys like if I do have the chance to draft you know a Herz or an allen or momes at a good value I I will be fine going for those dudes uh because there will be less uh there will be less options on the waiver wire at the quarterback position to pick up from like that's that's the thing about playing in one quarterback leagues is is people wait to draft them because there's usually so many available on the waiver wire if your guy doesn't hit with a 14 Team league there's already the top 15 guys off the board and then they're probably you know I would say maybe half the league maybe five to seven guys that also grab a backup quarterback so there goes 20 21 22 quarterbacks off the board that you can't pick up so having that top end guy at QB does feel pretty [ __ ] good and solidifies that area so I like the I like the idea of going hero running back I like the idea of going a topheavy approach to quarterback and then being very very heavy at the wide receiver position in full PPR obviously they're going to score a ton of points like the wide receiver 40 could score as many points as the running back 20 in full PPR uh plus that's like perfect for depth during by weeks and being your Flex spots so I think it's okay to prioritize a top QB a top running back but I would make sure that you go stupid heavy on wide receiver depth who are you taking in the Madden draft tomorrow you in the Madden draft tomorrow dude we're doing a uh an online franchise for Madden and we're doing a Fantasy Draft to to draft our [ __ ] teams starts tomorrow at five o'clock I'm gonna be the WOTE I might go like 0 and 17 in that League I'm not good at Madden like I'm not bad I'm pretty pretty good on offense but like my defense
