see offense saquan Barkley pretty darn good pretty darn good uh I got it for 109 yards rushing and 132 yards total uh offense have work to do yes defense have work to do yes but this was a much Valley HED Green Bay team and the Eagles took them bottom line 3429 Barrett Brooks Ron jorski Ruben Frank still a typing we will go to Brazil we've got interviews for you but the analysis starts with Mr Brooks your thoughts Mr Brooks I've never been so happy to be wrong about them coming to this season yes it looked exactly the way I thought it was going to look a lot of mistakes a lot of jumping off sides a lot of penalties you can tell that the team is far on the offensive side of the game was not ready to play up to the standards you know they put forth and they said they were going to go into but I tell you this they kept on fighting they kept doing what they needed to do and they won the game it just so happened that was a lot of draft passes by the Packers and as they went forward they mo you know got together and made this happen I I I like the fact that they won this game and it's I don't feel like it was last year when they were almost beating teams no I think they just went out there imposed their will and got the job done but Jo this would have been a bad loss and that's how great that's how great a win it was when you think about the flip side of that coin it would have been bad with all the stuff that went down but they won it was a win Michael you are correct he may have been an ugly win there no question about that there were problems on offense problem on defense I there were a lot of mistakes in the game but I thought they played a physical game which we talked about in the pregame show the one thing that I wanted to see from this team that I saw lacking late last year was that physical side they ran the ball for 144 yards seon barley was magnificent in this game defense yeah they were so so they had some great plays I love Vic scheme they they designed some things made some great plays on defense uh blanket ship interception was phenomenal it was schemed it was a beautiful I always had a telestrator you to draw that thing up go the camera like man we'll do that it was great design give Reed all the credit in the world blanket sh he made the interception but but he got in position to make a play because design of the defense so I saw a lot of really good things I mean yeah it looked like a preseason game to start out I me look at Jaylen first Ball's intercepted horrible decision horrible throw he had a bunch of those though it was a second second second it's just bad decision and then then you know mistake on the second series where they get a fumble but other other than those two ugly starts starting plays of the game I thought they settle in the game and some really good things that we'll talk about throughout the evening Ruben you know what they say when he's the best deodor and how much cologne was heaped on this thing to make it smell like a rose yeah I that's what I was going to say I was really impressed with this team's resilience and we saw a team I think you mentioned the Packers took the lead four times in this game and every time look they they had the Eagles on the ropes a lot and they bounced back each time and took command of the game in a way that we didn't see at the end of last year last year December January there is no way that team wins this game because they they did they you know they fell apart in the face of adversity this team answered the bell and they and responded resoundingly and that was impressive to me there's a lot of points where I thought the Packers were like a play or two away from really taking command of the game and each time somebody made a play whether it was a defensive stop on third down uh a turn over like Reed blankinship huge huge interception uh or stop they played some great red zone defense they gave up some big plays but some great red zone defense uh I thought every time they had to make a play they made a play and that was good to see speaking of Reed blank and ship here he is moments ago on the field at Corinthians arena in s Paulo Brazil with John Clark hi we are joined here by Reed Reed blanket chip One Time's enough you went to Brazil you saw Brazil you slipped and slid all over the field stop that's all you had to mention that didn't you the I tell you lucky no one got really hurt week six against the Browns will now be played in thanks to so when you when you look look at both sides of the ball and you start with the offense and you look at at what the fell them initially and uh right off the bat there's a Jaylen Herz interception they overcome that though what do you think of herz's play I I I wasn't impressed with Herz where he played um to start the game off and kind ofur towards the end also he's got to make better decisions I expect more from Jaylen because jaym expects more from himself also but you know just the bad reads they had decision- making wasn't as Cris was I'm watching in Camp he made great decisions uh during camp but I didn't see it in the game necessarily there's some things that you know they're going to have to work on you know get better and he'll work on those things but at the end of the day my expectations of Jayla Hurst is a lot higher than what I saw on the field today they have some work to get done he'll get the work done he needs to get done but at this point if I say all right Jaylen you just won the game I you know I I really be downplaying the way I think of him as a player I really be down you're five he can't be making those mistakes right he almost made a mistake at the end of the game when he threw that ball on the flat that should have been picked off to go the other way we would have been behind late in that game I I don't know if you saw the corner on the L couple a couple decisions he made were not the right decision so um yeah I was concerned about those reads and we and I I thought he played a little fast again he was leaving the pocket the offensive line I thought was Sensational he had a lot of time but also I i' see this and when this happens it's not a good sign for quarterback means you're dropping your head and you're looking your eyes got to be up and scanning the field down the field when you start doing this you can't see anything else and that means he's looking for the run and I saw too much of that so I think it's something you have to begin to coach him a little bit harder on all right how much is he didn't play any preseason games oh you want to start there now well I'm asking I'm giving you a choice you didn't play in any preseason games uh it's week one and there's natural Rush yes yes we had we had the same argument last year about you got to play where some bodies around it's contact it's football this isn't flag football you practice flag football all week long so you get a game the tempo picks up bodies are flying around you the platform your throws change your footwork changes and all of a sudden you get in the game that's what happens you're not prepared for the the bullets flying for real the defender is playing for real and he looked a little bit flustered at times Ruben yeah I don't disagree with any of that but what what do you get in exchange for that you get you know he's going to be healthy coming into week one and that's that's what Nick that's how he looks at it he's like he might be I know you do and I don't totally agree either but he's always going to be this way he's not going to play him because I mean he's four and0 in openers they I mean the New England game was just as ugly last year as this one was but they're winning those games jaylen's healthy coming into week one and that's what Nick's going to do that's just the way he's going to do it he got hit an awful lot today he got drilled I thought he really got beaten up and and that might have been the difference you play in the preseason sure you takes your chances but if you get through the preseason maybe you're a little better prepared Pat Mahomes played in the preseason and uh they ended up St I'm not saying you play a full game I think that I I don't be misunderstood on that you need a series two series get get some live action get the feel of the real NFL game not a pre take that damn red jersey off I don't think playing a series or two is going to make a in we in the second preseason game three weeks before the opener is going to make a huge difference it absolutely does because let tell you why it does let me tell you why it does let me tell you why it does as a player you go out there and you get live bullets out there jayen hurz did not have a red jersey on the Green Bay pass trying to take his head off you don't get that when you have a red jersey he played a ton of football in his life I played a ton of football life doesn't mean that I play better if I don't have the Reps that going into the game I you just play better when you've had those reps throughout the game all all right how about this though he had 13 carries for 33 yards 2.5 yards per carry I remember that when that was six seven nine yards per carry it's it's the effect of him taking the ball and running it with for whatever reason is not what it was at least not tonight those are the rushes yeah those are the r there a couple sacks so now you're talking that 15 now how many times he get hit after he threw the ball a lot a lot he got hit in this game and it messes up your timing and your head if you don't have the time if you don't offensive line needs to know where you're going to be at you don't get that timing with them that you know I'm saying how they're blocking for you your re reaction on how you need to be in the pocket where you need to step up in all that time it is off when you don't play in the game but you know it was also off at the end of last year and he played all year I I just I don't think I think that's an oversimplification do you think he's as off now as he was at the end of last year allation is the reason that they think that they can go out do that though his decision making tonight was not good as far as throwing and running he made some nice throws he made some nice plays in the middle of G made some great plays but his judgment is not good and it wasn't good at the end of last year going to say was as bad but uh I look what's the excuse at the end of last year I mean he played 16 games 15 games I just want to point out one more time that they won the game they did win the game 3429 I got a quarterback got to go to presented by our friends at Team Toyota and we're looking at Jaylen Herz and Jordan love and Jordan love we hope he's okay got injured at the end of the game was helped off the field with 5 seconds left and there's Jaylen Herz 20th 34 278 two touchdowns two interceptions both seemed to be unnecessary and 80 rating at one point before he threw the second interception it was 103 and then it dipped to the 80 where you see now 33 rushing yards on 13 attempts and there are Jordan L's
