John Deaton vs Elizabeth Warren: The Battle for Crypto’s Future in the Senate

[Music] [Applause] if you live in Massachusetts I want you to especially pay attention to the senate race uh that's going on in your state while it is a long shot it is possible with mobilization to get change in these entrenched candidates uh that you have running for these positions and you currently have right now for the senate race uh Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren we are super familiar with her and we are in a race on the Republican side versus John Deon uh left or right and no doesn't really matter Deon is a crypto Enthusiast and uh we know warron is anti- crypto and this is one of those races where I think you can pull it out while Warren is ahead 47 to 24 in the point spread here uh by 23 points it is a little lower than she had in the past and I think there's another Republican candidate that just dropped out but we know who Warren is right she's more against good consumer protections by not letting oven uh Innovation kind of flourish in the crypto sector just wants to claw down regulations on top of us and um she's been a vocal cryptic critic of the crypto industry here for you know several years uh anti-crypto policy stances she's had several anti- crypto hearings she's for higher more scrutinizing Reg regulatory oversight um she's and that may be needed right uh but as she spearheads the charge she also does not let up on the environmental concerns that she shares about the crypto Mining and how we've shown it's a net positive for the power grid and the economy uh she non-stop talk talks about uh AML kyc and criminal activities being you know for thieves and tax evasion and uh while being a pro component of a CB CD [Music] cbdc uh a central bank digital coin where she you know they can control and monitor their own constituents and civilians and um there's been a whole slew of things uh anti- crypto out of Warren's mouth uh but she is running under against none other than um John Deon if you're not familiar with John Deon uh he is uh mostly known for his legal advice on behalf of the xrp holders in the SEC vers Ripple suit right so he has been pretty steady voice even on the law law end of crypto involved in the case uh he positioned himself as a defender of cryptocurrency Rights and Innovation and uh running this campaign now you can pretty much assume he would likely Focus uh at least some part of his time to deregulating or providing clearance uh for the crypto industry and you know some light at the end of the tunnel over here at from Elizabeth Warren just sent out a follower uh text message to people who you know who are on a mailing list right hey it's Elizabeth Warren recently found out that a Super PAC supporting my Republican opponent a crypto lawyer from Rhode Island recruited to run against me raked in 2 million from three massive donations from two crypto billionaires and one big crypto firm I don't even know who they are uh at the absolute critical that we respond to the super pack fundraising with a strong surge of support and then she for money right um here we have Deon responding the only time I've been ever recruited to do anything in Massachusetts was to serve uh my country in the United States Marine Corps so if you head over to John Deon for senate.com you're going to get a website that looks just like this again I'm not this is small fries right this is something that's really going to only impact those in um Massachusetts right so if you you know check out your local races as well if you're not there call and ask what their stances are on cryptocurrency right we need leaders in the space we need those who will lead the charge of innovation you know get good regulation under our belt and allow the United States to be you know a technological leader in the New Frontier of crypto and uh starting with John Deon here would be a good place to do that you know over here we do have an old article from Boston Elizabeth Warren is vulnerable to Challenger John Deon readers uh say here's why so what they did at the end of the day here is they pulled uh 500 readers of the boston.com and um they have 57% so 301 of the 200 against 208 said yeah she's vulnerable she's not entrenched enough in the system she's replaceable and this would be a key win to a remove a burden off the back of the crypto industry and then B you know replace them with somebody who is crypto forward right so some of the dynamic you're certainly going to see in the race you know if you have not done your due diligence I've pretty much done it for you here so Warren Strong Advocate increasing regulations for cryptocurrency industry she views cryptos as a potential thre of financial stability consumer protection and the environment her campaign will likely emphasize her track record uh of consumer advocacy for push to strict uh stricter oversight of the financial sector blah blah blah blah blah blah and John Deon known for his legal advice of the xrp case if he wins man uh he could focus on reducing some regulatory burdens on the crypto industry promoting Financial innovation in protecting individual investor rights so when it comes to Financial in Innovation versus consumer protections Warren certainly can position herself and has uh to frame Deon as someone who prioritizes the interest of the crypto industry over over those of the average consumer and she certainly have done that already uh she's been arguing that his approach uh her approach is necessary to prevent the risk of uh associ association with unregulated financial Innovation which is crypto uh Deon argues you know Warren's regulatory stances stifle innovation in limit Financial Freedom freedoms and he tries to appeal voters interested in economic potential of blockchain technology in The Innovation and jobs it can bring so you know a lot going on in this space I know a lot of people don't really pay attention to Senate Races they typically just vote down ballot they go into the presidential election you know they smack blue or they smack red and they just vote straight down ballot if you are blue and you're not voting down ballot consider voting for John Deon if you are a crypto innovator if you're big in the space if you're looking to have somebody as a net positive in this space and um you know put a little thought into the vote um um and even if you you don't vote down ballot as red consider still voting for Deon himself uh even if you go away uh against some other candidates uh policy-wise you know Warren always focuses on inequalities and uh corporate accountability and social safety nets she's a socialist at the end of the day and uh while sure we we should certainly have that for some folks in the states it's not not something that should be universally rolled out as she tries to constantly do and um de's more of a Libertarian man Pro business electorate you know emphasizing the Need For Less government intervention in the economy and promot promotion of the free market and uh especially in Emerging Markets like fintech and crypto okay uh so as this moves forward just a quick short video for you you know check your local races be a part of something bigger you know this time around um you can vote man you can change it it's got to start somewhere it's got to start local it's got to start with these smaller races
