chart for the Arizona Cardinals kind of reacting to it together now I did kind of peek at it before I didn't actually like deep dive into it so we're going to be basically looking into that together and then there was some breaking news that dropped yesterday as well if you guys do not know we'll be diving into that here as well to kind of uh you know ask the question why but you know that that's without further Ado let's go and get started here we want to just kind of talk about the depth chart um there's some things on there that I initially looked at and I was like oh that's no big deal right I kind of automatically knew that that was going to happen uh but there were some things that I'm like all right let's see what's going to happen here right so let's go and dive right into it the depth chart shall we let's talk about the depth chart so I want to be very very clear here that this is not really an indication of this is not really an indication of you know something spectacular like you know breaking news anything like that but you know it's definitely something to talk about here right we got uh preseason coming up here in the next what four days so obviously Cardinal football's coming around and we just kind of want to dissect in terms of where this cardinal team is at right now right that's kind of what we're mainly doing now obviously the 53 man roster cutdown is going to be much more exciting uh the depth chart uh is going to be a lot more exciting when the 53 man roster is cut because then we know the actual people that's on there but like I said it's something to talk about and honestly I've been through a lot of training camps myself and uh there's a couple the different things that I have an issue with my myself so we're going to be diving into it so let's first start off with the offensive side of the ball if you guys do not see it it is that first portion and then you got the defensive side of the ball here at the bottom so let's first start off here with the wide receivers so you got Marvin Harrison Jr no surprise there right honestly that's definitely something that you know it's not a shocker uh and then you got Paris Johnson Jr at left I love the idea that we're moving him over to left I just love it I I love it I love it I love it okay and then we got Evan Brown Evan Brown I've noticed when I went to a lot of training camps that he was the primary left guard right especially when F Holt was healthy and he was there Evan Evan Brown is there uh at left guard so I definitely noticed that when I went to training camp and I'm really really excited to see what he can do right I'm excited see what he can do Evan Brown excels in the interior part of the um sorry the interior part of the line so I think he's going to do a good job hopefully he can stay healthy and then you obviously fro hle is the center uh will Hernandez and then you got Jonah Williams there so nothing too shocking there uh Trey McBride nothing shocking now you do have Elijah Higgins at the number two spot and then you got tip Brightman at the three to me this is nothing to really kind of get too crazy about I think tip Ren is still G to have a really good load of work in this offense right maybe primarily blocking so seeing him at the number three spot Don't Panic don't worry I think Elijah Higgins is probably more of a playmaker as to why they have him there and he's probably going to be the guy to back up Trey McBride if he does need to step out right so that's kind of the way I see this one two three with the whole tight end position uh tip ryman's still going to have a good p of reps in this offense but he's going to be mainly used as a as a blocker um he can he can catch but I think when you're looking at the playmaking ability I think Elijah hickin just kind of stands out a little bit more so let's look at the wide receivers here uh and then we're going to be diving into the running backs which I already see some people here in the comments I've already see some people here in the comments uh but let let's go to the wide receiver uh slot that's going to be Greg dorch no surprise there Michael Wilson at the other side of Marvin Harrison Jr now Z Jones is behind Greg dorch is that interesting to y'all or not to me it's very very interesting to see Z Jones there you know slotted in behind Greg dorch now I said this before I said this before that we most likely because we've seen Z Jones come out on an interview and say that he actually has played slot in college and he played on the outside coming into the NFL that that's definitely a real possibility of maybe a split work from GRE dorge and Z Jones uh we can definitely very well see that now would I love to see more Greg dorch of course of course right I think Greg dorch has earned his right to be the primary slot guy but Greg dorch is probably going to need some time to rest right between snaps especially if it's a long drive and I love the idea that we are seeing Z Jones behind Greg George because if we can get a big bodied wide receiver here in the slot that's amazing that's cool that's really really cool now I do think that we got Greg George as the primary guy at slot and he's actually he he's held his own he's done a very good job of training camp and I think he absolutely does deserve being uh the number one guy in the slot but I do love the idea of Z Jones being behind him um Kyler Murray okay so I have a little bit of a tiff here uh let's go with the quarterback situation so we have Kyler Murray Desmond Ritter and Clayton ton right that's how it's How was listed uh we got one Kyler uh and then two Desmond Ritter and then three tune now we heard Jonathan Ganon come out and say we heard Jonathan Ganon come out and say that it's not going to be one of those things where because we traded for Desmond Ritter we're going to put him at the number two spot right this kind of feels like this kind of feels like because we traded him he's at the number two spot now like I said before I'm not going to really have too much of a big big reaction to this because it's the first it's the first depth chart right it's the first depth chart heading into preseason week one right it's not like we're talking about the depth chart heading into the regular season right so I'm not going to have too much of a big issue but I'm not going to lie to you ladies and gentlemen I'm not going to lie to you when it comes down to Desmond Ritter and Clayton tune if you see if you've been to these training camps Desmond Ritter does not deserve to be number two does not and that's no bad will ill on him or I guess it might be a little bit but like Desmond Ritter had a has a very bad training camp very bad I guess he he's got some throws here and there and maybe they're giving him a mulligan because this is his first year compared to Clayton tune but there's no way there's no way Clayton ton should be number three right especially if if if we're really trying to evaluate Clayton ton give them the opportunity to run with the twos right give them the opportunity to run with them because Clayton T got the he got the uh the short end of the stick last year when we ended up bringing in um Joshua dos he got the short end of the stick he absolutely did he wasn't able to run with the twos because well I guess technically he did because when Kyler wasn't playing Joshua dobs was playing with the ones but it almost kind of feels like Clayton tune I is kind of being put down there again and saying make it work with the threes right and you know there's some exciting threes I'm not going to lie to you right if you look at the depth chart um you got Xavier Weaver which I'm honestly really excited about um Andre belli is always very very good when it comes down to like pre-season and like training camp Andre belli is is cool right the big reason why he doesn't make it is because obviously we have a lot of depth um but the thing is that with Clayton soon you're you're really not putting him in the in the position to succeed and you're not really seeing his full talents because you're not giving him the the option to to play with those twos right so that's one of the biggest issue I have so far with this this this depth chart right now is the fact that Ritter is number two he he should not be number two at all now if this is going to be one of those things where they're going to be kind of switching him right week one or and then week two is going to be different maybe right maybe but man I I believe me when I say I've been to a lot of these training camps Desmond Ritter looks absolutely rough absolutely rough um Weaver I see the comment here Weaver is good uh so Weaver right now is sitting at the slot four right now um right now right here he he's sitting at at slot four if you look with Greg dorch he's on that same line so it looks like Xavier Weaver which honestly to me he's actually having a really good camp he's having a really really good camp very very good but this is the scenario that we're kind of in right now right Clayton tun will be playing with Weaver so that I guess that's exciting um but I don't know man I don't know I I think Weaver's had a really really good camp he deserves a lot much more but I do think it's going to be up to this training camp to see exactly what happens here with Weaver and tune and and how this is all going to work out but all right let's move on over to quarterback H sorry running backs I already see some people here in the chat I already see some people here in the chat let me know what your guys's thoughts here are on the running backs uh so James Connor there there's no surprise there right we got Trey Benson at number two let's go Hallelujah we got a rookie coming up here right now behind James Connor I love it I love it I love it all right so James Conor one Trey Benson 2 Amari Dem Mardo at three got DJ Dallas at four and then we got Michael Carter and then Tony Jones at five and six now this is interesting to me this is very very interesting to me DJ Dallas was brought in uh for the thought of being our pump returner right but to to be honest with you if we can find somebody else like maybe an Xavier Weaver like maybe a Trey Benson right something like that I I would feel a little bit more confident here's the the thing about the running backs James Connor I have no issue with right being number one obviously he's the number one guy number two I love Trey Benson being at that number two spot right behind James Conor now like I said this is just going into preseason week one right it might completely change heading into the regular season but so far I like what this looks like Amari de Mardo has had a pretty good camp right he does run with the ones he does run with the two so that's not a surprise there and he actually did have a a pretty good showing last year when our offense was not the best right but you know kudos to him where I guess my big Tiff is Michael Carter and DJ Dallas I feel like that should be swapped I feel like that should absolutely be swapped I think DJ Dallas maybe has that four spot because they might be carrying for running backs and DJ Dallas might be the primary punt kick returner but that's the thing you you're you're leaving Michael Carter the odd man out because he's not punt returner and I don't think that's right I don't think that's fair um I think Michael Carter has done a very good job to solidify himself as a potential three right we've seen some bursts from Michael Carter so so far the big issues in terms of like what this depth chart I have with is the quarterbacks and uh the running back in the depth area right I think Michael Carter absolutely deserves more than what we're putting them down as right now can we see Michael Carter run with Clayton ton yeah potentially right can we see um uh Weaver run with tune yeah most likely and I'm actually really excited to see what that's going to look like but there are some things that I'm I'm not the biggest fan of right now because honestly with what I've seen in Camp it doesn't reflect a couple positions right like the Desmond Ritter at two uh and then Michael Carter being we down at five like that's crazy you know that's crazy to me um we got my guy ad a says Carter is better than Amari and DJ and that's what I'm saying too the only thing I can think of the only thing I can think of is that Amari de Mardo is being used as in training camp he's being used with the ones and the twos right that's the only thing I could think of is that he's being used with the number ones and the number twos but here's the thing the way I look at this is that you have two running backs that are kind of similar right you got James Connor and you got Trey Benson right obviously James Connor is more of a Bruiser than Trey Benson or at least we've seen that translate in the NFL better than Trey Benson I think we could all agree with that but you need a different type of running back right the different different type of running back to me would be Michael Carter absolutely now here's another thing Amar de Mardo is really good at pass protection Trey Benson is not good at pass protection so maybe that might be a a quality that they like in Amari de Mardo and that's why they have him at three but if I were going to pick another guy to be at three I would used Michael Carter I'm not going to lie to you I I'm not I would use Michael Carter at three um but Amari dardo is good at pass protection Trey Benson's not right so maybe that might be why he has that three spot and Amar Mardo isn't bad he's not a bad running back he's a good run he's a serviceable running back it's just to me if you're going to be getting a different type of running back Michael Carter is that different type of running back right and it would make just our running back core just more elusive to me um in my opinion um here we go here we go Thunder Amari is a solid Runner but a better blocker exactly 110% and I think that's one of the main reasons why we're seeing him at three boom right there thunder you just hit the nail on the head right there ladies and gentlemen I I think that that's the main reason why he might be at that number three spot Trey Benson struggled in college with with pass Pro he completely struggled now can he get better absolutely he's still young he's still young so can he get better at pass Pro yes he can but Amaro Mardo was better at pass Pro and I think that might be why he's got that three spot right now but man it hurts to see Michael Carter not there it does because I I don't want him to get cut I really don't want him to get cut okay um bro I saw Ami Ballout and no yeah no I agree I think Amari de Mardo is a solid running back I want to be very clear I think Amari Dem Mardo is a very solid running back very solid and I think last year he actually he he was pretty good the the the the way that my mind works is that if you're rolling with James Conor and Trey Benson right they're one in the same type of running backs right I would love to see a different type of running back back there a a a guy that catches the swing right a guy that catches the screen passes the flat routes right the guy that can catch balls very well right those are are kind of my mindset in terms of it now if amario Mardo does make it okay then we're going to support it right at the end of the day we're going to support it but it's just kind of one of those things where I think Amar Mardo is a solid guy but I do think that he excels in pass protect and I think that might be why he's got that that third spot just kind of the that's just my two cents just my two cense all right let's go over to the defensive side of the ball I already see Jude the dude up in there already kind of making some comments so let's go with the defensive side of the ball shall we okay now I specifically remember remember talking about this and I don't know if the person is he in the chat he most likely isn't in the chat uh but this is what I was talking about look at the very first line on defense ladies and gentlemen look at the very first line on defense does this surprise anybody right balal Nickles and okay well let's look at defensive tackles right DT does this surprise anybody at DT we got balal Nichols and Justin Jones right Justin Jones and balal Nichols at at that two defensive tackle spots look who's behind Bal Nichols ladies and gentlemen this is exactly what I was talking about I feel like Darius Robinson probably won't make the start in terms of depth chart and I want to be very clear P pan it over to my face here real quick pan it over to my face I don't think he's going to get the start per the depth chart when it comes down to Darius Robinson and I don't think this is an indication on oh Darius Robinson's not good no I think Darius Robinson is good I think he's a really good player and I think he's going to get the start eventually but I think when the season starts right and it might be a week it might be three weeks it might be four weeks I don't know right I think daryus Robinson is going to be a starter at the defensive tackle position now we have heard he moves around a lot so maybe that might be an indication that he's going to be moving around um but in terms of defensive tackles on the depth chart who's going to start is Bal Nichols and Justin Jones right the Cardinals brought them in for a reason they are solid pieces right they're not Superstars they're not anything like that but they're guys that can stay healthy they're guys that can give you production and stopping the run that is exactly how my mind was working when I was telling you guys on a prior video that darus Robinson probably won't get the start now will he get 30 will he get 35% will he get 40% of the snaps maybe right maybe but I do think that the primary guys are going to be the free agent guys that we brought in right your Bal Nichols and your Justin Jones I'm not mad at this I'm really really not mad at this at all I think darus Robinson can still very well get a lot of snaps but I do think because he's a rookie he's going to have to show a little bit more unless he ABS has an absolutely crazy showing in preseason an absolute crazy showing in preseason then I think this is going to be where he lands at uh when it comes down the 53 men roster so prepare yourselves I just want to say just prepare yourself just prepare yourselves all right let's keep it going we got nose tackle we got Roy Lopez uh LJ Collier um and and a couple other people in the back that might not make the cut um maybe Tonga might right but we got those nose tackle positions here um nothing really to kind of talk about other than okay cool that's awesome let's talk about your outside linebacker shall we all right B joori went down this is what the outside linebackers were rolling with right now Dennis gck as well as Z Collins right now behind Dennis Gard you got your Jesse Lada your Xavier Thomas behind zav Collin Collins you got Victor Demi and you got Cameron Thomas and then Tyreek Smith after after them this is not a shock to me this is not a shock to me when it comes down to the people on the outside that Dennis gardi position we might be seeing a swing by committee type of situation that we're going to probably find ourselves in we're probably going to be finding ourselves in a situation where it's just swing by committee and I'm not mad at that I'm not mad at that at all um I know there's a lot of Cardinal fans that want the Arizona Cardinals to go out for a potential trade I heard some names out there I heard judon I heard Hassan reck I heard some free agents anikin G right I really like him a lot Carl Lawson right we all kind of heard the same names I would love that as well uh to just bring in another piece because I think one of the biggest unknowns right now for the Arizona Cardinals defense is that edge position I think we're all looking to support zavon Collins especially because he signed his contract he's going to be with the Cardinals for you know uh next couple years we all want him to succeed but I would like the Arizona Cardinals to maybe potentially go after somebody um now another thing that didn't occur to me um I I I did uh have a um a guest yesterday and if you guys didn't join that live stream I highly encourage you guys to look over that live stream um it was from yesterday um but I ended up having Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports Arizona Cardinal Insider here he brought a very valid point to me that I didn't even think of right the Arizona Cardinal could potentially reach out for a guy that gets cut from somebody else 53 man roster right I was like oh I didn't think of that right I didn't think of that that that can very well be a think as well right I didn't think of that so yeah the Arizona cardos could potentially go after a guy that gets cut in a 53 man roster you can still find some gems right is that it's not ideal for me but you I mean you could still get somebody that gets cut and maybe he flourishes more on your system than he does in their system right or maybe they're just so out of their ears with talent that they had to cut somebody and then the Cardinals could potentially kind of strike and go after that so it's not it's not panic season yes would I would I rather get that breaking news of in way yes of course would I rather get that breaking news of Carl Lawson of course but or the trades of course right but uh being with where we are right now um right with how Monty has been working things it almost kind of seems like that might be the trend that the Cardinals are going to go with so let's continue all right let's continue so we got the outside linebackers we we we touched the defensive tackles we also went through the nose tackle so now let's move on over to the inside linebackers shall we let's move on over to the inside linebackers cuz white no surprise there hopefully he stays healthy I think he's going to have a Very Good Year Ma Wilson senior I think very very both underrated very very both underrated uh inside linebackers and and talk about a dual that has something to prove right talk about a duel that has a chip under the shoulder kazir white as well as um Mac Wilson senior talk about guys that are really going to have a chip under the shoulder I'm excited I'm excited ladies and gentlemen see what they can do I think they could potentially be very very good together as long as they can stay healthy right now Mac Wilson Senor has played Edge for the New England Patriots can the Cardinals use MC Wilson senior at Edge for specific instances yeah maybe you never know right you never never know you never know so outside the starters you got Al ow Papo uh you got chry Barnes Marcus Bailey and then Tyreek Maddox Williams right the main two guys we're going to focus on is kazir Wyatt and M Wilson senr obviously right they're they're the number one and number two I'm excited to see what they're going to do let's talk about cornerbacks I already saw it here ladies and I saw the people here in the corner already talking about cornerbacks okay one thing real quick before we go to the quarterbacks it is a little cut off I'm not gonna the graphic is a little cut off so I'm going to kind of fill you in in what it says right let's look over safeties real quick so safeties you got Buddha Baker Jaylen Thompson and then behind them you got uh D Ron Taylor demerson um Andre tratree uh Joey blunt um Veron McKinley the third and then you got Darren hall for the safeties right like I said the graphic is a little cut off so I'm going to have to kind of fill you guys in in terms of what is actually on the depth chart let's look at the cornerbacks look at that Starling Thomas I ladies and gentlemen look can we get some fire emojis here in the comments below for a guy that the Arizona Cardinals got on waivers could we get some fire emojis in the comments below look at that Starling Thomas i f Starling Thomas I fth actually let's do this let's go out here and do this instead good for Starling Thomas i f ladies and let me give him another good for Starling Thomas talk about a guy that the Arizona Cardinals ended up getting um and he's kind of already making a name for himself good for him good for him so Starling Thomas the fth is right there and then you got Shawn Murphy bunting um and then you got Garrett Williams and then you got Garrett Williams so this is the way that it's going to shake out here ladies and gent and like I said I know it is cut off it's cut off you can't see it but I'm going to try to fill you in so we got our outside cornerbacks is Garrett Williams in the Sha Murphy bunting behind them is Cirro Clark uh dad Wilson Jaden Daniels and Elijah Jones the third stringers are the two rookies that we ended up getting in the later parts of this last draft they are the third stringers on the outside for the inside you got Starling Thomas the fth or actually I'm not even sure if it's going to run like this but behind Starling Thomas the fth you got Max Melton Bobby Price and then Michael I I don't know how you say his last name so I'm not even going to try maybe this might be a scenario where we do have Garrett Williams on the inside when there's three cornerbacks on the field maybe right maybe Garrett Williams will be Corner one uh Corner two Shawn Murphy will be Corner one when there's two quarterbacks on the field but maybe when there's that nickel package maybe Garrett Williams would be moving over to the slot that might be a real scenario but Starling Thomas the fifth man kudos to him for really fighting for a position here because he absolutely does deserve it right we saw some people here in the comments I see some guy my guy Brandon here in the chat says who honestly if you watch games last year um when the Cardinals were obviously going through that really bad year um you know who Sterling Thomas i f is you know who Sterling Thomas the f is um he he's a guy that was brought in I believe it was from waivers if I'm not mistaken um was it waivers or was it un drafted rookies I think it was waivers if I'm not mistaken I I should have done a little research here before but he he wasn't a drafted guy um and honestly kudos to him for already solidifying a spot now like I said before this is the first depth chart heading into week one of preseason week one a preseason could it change yes it can right are people panicking because Max Melton isn't there yeah there's some people there might be panicking that because Max Melton isn't there but I think that Max Melton is getting the same treatment as Darius Robin son right the rookies they need to develop a little bit more and heck maybe we might see Max Melton down the stretch right maybe we'll see him week four week five a little bit more right you never know you never know but Starling Thomas I fth kudos to him and here we go we got Jude up in chat appreciate you thank you so much Jude he says yeah a waiver claim that's what I thought right that's what I thought and I think that might be a big scenario here as to why there is a scenario where the Arizona Cardinals can potentially get an edge player as a potential waiver claim right a guy that gets cut in the 53 man roster maybe somebody has edges Galore right outside linebackers Galore maybe the Cardinals go for somebody right um I but I do think that mton will play it's just like what Owen says Melton will play don't worry I 100% agree and I want to be very very clear this is the first depth chart the first depth chart of heading into week one a regular season first okay so we got three more weeks we got preseason to get through and then we got the 53 men roster cutdown you might still see Max Melton right you might might see him at the top you might see Darius Robinson at the top right do they need to prove a little bit more because they're rookies of course they do they're rookies right you you got a guy like Starling thas the F that deserves it right he he's actually shown that he can be a very very good asset in this cornerback room last year as well as training camp he's actually showed up very very well so kudos to him and then darus Robinson right obviously it's the the big big questions because you got your very very early round picks that people want them to kind of slot in for but it's kind of where we are at right now so that is what the depth chart looks like right now what is your guys's biggest issue right now is there any issue offensively or defensively that you guys have an issue with right now put it in the comments below put it in the comments below and now ended up dropping in the world of the Arizona Cardinals about a move that was made about a move that was weighed so so so sorry about a move that was made so let's go ahead and uh ring the uh breaking news Bell shall we so breaking news that happened yesterday so there was a move that was made um nothing too crazy nothing to groundbreaking but I wanted to use that sound I can't wait can't wait for breaking news to drop while we're actually on a live stream can't wait okay so this is what we're dealing with right now let's let's go ahead and remove this graphic here right now and let's move this graphic up so there was a breaking news that dropped yesterday and ml football dropped it it says this breaking UFL star cornerback Delante hood is signing with the Arizona Cardinals League sources exclusively tell ml football Delante only 23 years old led the UFL in pass breakups and impressed many across the league now here's the thing here's the thing here's a big question mark right this is a big question mark because you're you're asking yourself what is why bring in a cornerback right why bring in a quarterback are they not comfortable with the quarterbacks that we have right is that what it is or are we talking about a guy that actually is very very underrated and is finally now getting the opportunity right I don't know a lot of questions out there is he just a camp body I is he going to be an actual focal point on this defense it's a lot of valid questions it's a lot of absolutely valid questions but obviously comes from the UFL he led the UFL in pass breakups and impress across many you know across the league so a new member of the Arizona Cardinals Delante Hood welcome to the Arizona Cardinals it's all I can say welcome to the Arizona Cardinals I think we're in a scenario right now where a lot of things are going to happen very very fast right within the next two three weeks three four weeks before regular season starts up a lot of things are going to happen right a lot of things we're going to talk about a lot of things we're going to come out here and say well why was this move made right Le let's not look too much into it right the core for the Arizona Cardinals is there right the core for the Arizona Cardinals is there and like I said earlier I I I I think we're in in a situation where the depth chart does look good I'm not mad at the depth chart is there a couple different things here and there where I'm like oh that makes no sense yes there is a couple things there but let's leave it for preseason right if Clayton ton is fighting for that number two role let him fight for it right if Xavier Weaver is going to fight for you know a a spot better than he's sitting in right now let him fight for it right darus Robinson the same thing Max and Desmond Ritter is looking not very good in training camp he's looked very rough to say the least very very rough best way to describe it uh CB no fights yet in training camp no fire in their gut there was one one fight with um there was one fight with MC Wilson senior and uh will Hernandez got into it guess who won that fight will Hernandez versus MC Wilson senr guess who won that fight comfortable Kyler looks like he's not really think thinking too much while taking this the uh the ball snap back right but I do think that there is needing to be more reps I want to see Kyler Murray I want okay not just Kyler I want to see the starters in in preseason whether it's week one week two week three right I don't care what it is I want to see the starters um even if it's for one series
