earlier and he didn't seem too concerned with the score he said they just needed to come out here on the first drive and ex the way they know how back up to you Brad ex there's got to be some sense of urgency to this they don't have the luxury wasting Drive if they want to get back in the game he's out of Bounds at the 27 they'll change the play at the line of scrimmage makes the catch and gets out of bounds I credit the quarterback on that he made a great read and delivered a very nice pass for the first [Music] downs to lot of guys in this area out a hry bring him down right around the 42 yd all he looked very determined and got the first down it's first and 10 ball on the 34 Y Line this out a little bit 15 setting up the play action he gets rid of this one the defense got some pressure and forced a bad pass I think they've been a little bit more aggressive here with their pass rush and that time it paid off with an incompletion so it's second and 10 ball in the 34 oh yep dangerous [Applause] pass the Cowboys enter the game rank six in the country but feeling the heat to hold their lofty spot and we've been keeping an eye on this one all day back and forth they go to heavyweight slugging it out first and 10 ball in the 14 there are five wide receivers split out the quarterback in the gun here we go slow down this a big by this safy you know a lot of times as a safety you're sitting back there making sure there isn't a playaction pass or a play potentially that can go behind you I think this safety has that six sense his instincts on that play were special he read the Run ball on the ground well they are running it pretty well so that wouldn't be a bad thing you take yard you can get the guys running up on defense have really contributed to this two possession lead they'll go to work at the 23 yd line [Applause] everybody the defs to saf might have made that but if he keeps coming on the'll be for the pass second down 15 to go ball on their own 18 a quarterback for the home run it's a great series here for the defensive side they know they've got the upper hand right now late in this [Applause] game they forunate to get back this guy really needs to concentrate on securing the football from their own 36 yd line it's first down they on the option he tackles him for a loss it's a great play by the defense but it really makes you wonder was there a miscommunication up front by the offensive line they just to allow the defensive line to get through and the running back didn't have much of a chance at all second down at 12 ball on the 33 yd line catches it and he's looking for more and down right around the 42 yd line what a throw for a big G that is a great example of the quarterback seeing the whole field and finding the guy who had the best chance of making a catch third down and they're going to about yard to up the [Music] first crap they keep missing them on ad line the as soon as he saw made aine for the carrier I believe the option and they make the stop at the 48 the lineman had a big push there to get in the back field and bring him down and once he gets moving there's no stopping him this guy is so big and strong that he's almost impossible to block with one guy second and 10 ball on the 48 yd line less than three minutes in the game there they're probably going to get me stti on there we go back forward started the game off good and he turn nice cold now he's back that fell was he's C too damn not no more this isn't even the bestle but I'm going to tell you something this young man is really getting better at running his routes which is a truly underrated quality these days to this sh right over the top watch there we [Applause] go don't think that this isn't huge the game's not quite over but boy they it's over it's over it's all [Applause] over and he on the extra point it was a seven play 66 yd drive and a touchdown know we live in an era the spread and people expect offenses to to spread you out and throw the football I still believe that the the ability to move the football has a lot to do with your balance and right now what we're seeing from this offense is balance they're running they're passing the football and it's really keeping the defense on its heels he's taken down at the 33 yd line the offense will take over at the 33 One play takes the ball inside gets to around just over two minutes in the game back to pass pass it's third down and they're about two yards sh funny name for the play The Crow a fever pitch right and he hits him hard at the 44 they chose to throw the ball here on Third and short and it proved effective as the little dump pass got them a new set of downs he's looking to pass got a man watch out here he gets hit Out of Bounds at the 42 and a nice pick up there I'll tell you what the defense gambled a bit here and came with the Blitz and a quarterback showed tremendous po by making a good read and delivered a nice ball to the open man from the 42 yd line first down he's taken down right around the 30 trying to confuse the defense here with the audible [Music] fires quickly and he's got his man he's tackled around the 27 yd line appears that he's changing things up here before the snap get broken what a play and that is first andal somebody jumped early down there maybe he got the Cadence wrong coming out of the Huddle the coaches have a low threshold for mistakes like that it's first down and they'll be looking for six points here [Applause] that up it's all theer on he beat his man off the line and then ran a perfect route all he had to do after that was make the catch boy that was an easy throw for the quarterback had to be a mistake of some kind or miscommunication by the defense in that secondary but back finds as a receiver wide open for the touch the extra point let's check in with Rees Davis in the studio the Cowboys arrive at today's game ranked number six in the land here was a game where both teams dispensed with the pleasantries the Cowboys win it 262 got it t at 42 yd so the kick F so they just went up in the air and snatched the ball away I want to run cut soall directly in my man's [Applause] hand they move the ball very effectively on their last Drive which ended with a touchdown the defense has been talking it over on the sideline try man I saw the glory land now wide receivers clearly have done outstanding job in being able to make their reads and getting out of their breaks and the quarterbacks put the ball right on the money it's second down now they're just a few feet away from that first down marker just over a minute left he fights forward to about the 33 Wyoming is going to have to use their second time out of the half short yardage situation here it's third and one there we go y it's not a bad idea to give it to the fullback the big guy just bulldozed ahead for the first from the 30 yd line it's first down play action under heavy pressure he's wrapped up for the sack they get to the quter and that before even got started this young man didn't even have a chance to make something happen it's tough to find your receivers when the defense is in your face like that they come up to the line here it's second down and 14 after the sack and he sto behind the line [Applause] [Applause] well they've con thir third and eight win season boom boom boom the contract 312 Idaho so Kirk would you sum up the action in this one I thought this would have been a little closer than the scoreboard indicates maybe that says something about how good a game they play Idaho had a really tough matchup coming in but they were prepared motivated and came away with a really solid win here's a look at our player of the game EA Sports will donate $10,000 in his name to his school's General scholarship fund for the vandals this win will bring them to a pretty good 8-4 record and for the Cowboys they lose another one late in the season making their record s and five so that wraps things
