Rebuking "False Teacher Hunters" | Tim Conway | Biblical Rebuke

[Music] so we've got another emailed question from a subscriber and his email reads hello Keith my name is Marcus I'll be honest just uploaded a video of Tim Conway talking about people that spend far too much time on false teachers now I follow some Christian YouTubers who all they post is false teachers is that a good thing what are your thoughts so thank you Marcus for writing in that is a great question now the video this person is talking about is a video titled do I waste too much time studying false teachers from Al be Hest and the link will be in the description of this video for anyone that wants to watch that now regarding my opinion on this matter I do believe it is wrong if you are a Christian who is posting content on YouTube and all you focus on is false teachers to me that says more about you than anything now look there's nothing wrong with exposing and bringing to light the detrimental teachings of false teachers but if that's all you are doing if that's all you upload and share with your subscribers then I'd have to question if you are even a Christian honestly I mean you guys know I post false teacher cont content usually at the end of the day but the first three to five videos on my channel you're getting sound biblical truth each day it's not just false teacher false teacher false teacher it can't be that and to the quote unquote Christian YouTubers that do post that type of content you need to be at the very least expositionally breaking down why what that false teacher said is wrong and correcting it for your subscribers right otherwise why are you posting the content uh a lot of you guys are just posting false feature content that you found on the internet and for entertainment's sake are just uploading re-uploading it that's not doing anything okay and like I said it says a lot more about you than it does about the false teacher because we're not stupid you guys are not stupid you know who the false teachers are at some point it just becomes redundant right um so to you guys to you YouTubers that do that stop doing it because it's just wrong and it's lazy so uh yeah that's my position on that and I will I do want to post a clip from that Al be honest video of Tim Conway pretty much saying a lot of what I just said what do you have to do with them I mean what do you have quite honestly what do you have to do with TD Jak what do you have to do with Joel Olstein I mean the truth is they're living their life it's not like it's not like they're seeking counsel from you it's not like they're asking you how to interpret a certain passage you don't have anything to do with them he he just wrote this why take up your time with them why do you need to do that and you know there are some of these guys on the internet it's like all they like to do is take their time and you know I mean some of them may hold to good Doctrine they may be Christians but they kind of make it their lifetime Ministry to to expose and debunk listen we know these guys are bad I don't believe what Joel Olstein believes and I don't believe what I don't believe what copelan believes and I I just don't really need to concern my life with these guys quite honestly you don't need to sit there and study them I mean some sometimes you know some of that stuff can I guess be entertaining but it's it's I I agree with with Conrad murl what do you have to do with them it's it's like you've got your own life to live and you're not going to their Church you're not being deceived by them you just you know why why do you need to do anything about them and uh and I would say the same thing about this I mean yes sometimes we're curious and we wonder oh no you know what are they doing over here and how how to what degree is society uh decaying and you know I I don't have any problem with us keeping our eyes open to that actually recognizing what's happening in the world of abortion and what's happening in the world of of transgender and you know how are things decaying in the public school systems and we kind of keep our eyes open to things and we know how to pray accordingly but um I'm not saying it's necessarily sin to go check out what happened at the Commonwealth Games with regards to bail worship that's not my point but my point is what does it really have to do
