[Music] Lynn by my GPS estimates we are 876 mil here in Atlanta from 11 Wall Street how does it feel to have your company represented here in Atlanta you know it's absolutely unbelievable Georgia is incredibly special to us Intercontinental Exchange being our parent company you know it feels like home being down here this whole deal came about a year ago we were doing the the kickoff Bell uh up in New York so you really are responsible for creating this new partnership between afflac and college football afflac has been a member of our community for nearly 50 years now and we couldn't be more excited for them as they kick off college football season we go up to New York Stock Exchange we ring the bell as I'm coming down the steps I said Virgil you would be a great partner for us number one you're heavily invested in college football number two you're a Georgia company number three you've given $168 million to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta it'd be a symbiotic relationship during Childhood Cancer month of September to kick off the afflac kickoff [Music] game to be able to do this to have the governor and the mayor here Virgil and the afflac team here in the family Mr afflac here and we had 15 CEOs from Fortune 500 companies here in Atlanta that are on the New York Stock Exchange well Atlanta is now three times bigger than it was when I first came here in the late 80s and one of the Hallmarks of the city is the way in which the corporate Community comes together to support a number of great causes to to make a difference we're honored to partner with a company like that a company that doesn't just think about their core business but thinks about how they give back to the community and all their work that they've done fighting Children's Cancer and children's blood disorders and saving the lives of children is really worth [Music] noting what does it mean to ringing of the New York Stock Exchange Bell down to Atlanta Mercedes-Benz Stadium the Benz is amazing obviously you see it here in persand on television it just inspires students and uh these college athletes come in here it's kind of a g whiz moment so it really fires them up and they play their best the Mercedes-Benz Stadium attracts all of the major world events of course what we're having today but on and on and on to FIFA World Cup this allows us to be on the international stage the world map and it brings in great games great events that lead to economic opportunities throughout our city why is Atlanta such a good incubator and a place to make your business home so because of the diversity of industries that are here it's just a great place to get people to to come and work for us it's also a great place to recruit people and families in fact six of my direct reports have moved to Atlanta in the past 5 years with their families and they're absolutely loving it well it's really incredible it kind of epitomizes where Georgia is right now number one state in the country for business New York Stock Exchange their presence here with a lot of their people and the Intercontinental Exchange we have so many jobs so much investment coming to the state there's a a mural right around the corner that shows people like Jimmy and rosling Carter Andrew Young John Lewis the influence of these Atlanta icons on you and who you are as a leader of this city what does it mean to you we love on our past in Atlanta we love on our our leaders it doesn't take me long to find the history books to be able to make a quality decision my Idols my icons are all uh pretty much in in in close distance because of the history making here New York Stock Exchange is really about connecting our companies connecting our community but it's even more special to us when we're able to bring the magic of 11 wall to places like the Mercedes-Benz Stadium it started in New York City at the stock exchange
