Ravens QB Coach Tee Martin has some INSIGHT on the Ravens play-calling featuring Lamar Jackson!!!

hello hello hello you're Turing to the episode of The Wonder control today's second topic T Martin quarterback coach for Lamar Jackson addresses the media look he said some stuff honestly that I liked uh T had some things I was sitting there like H okay because we've said especially after the Kansas City uh AFC Championship game right we all kept saying uh and I heard people even in the comments in my previous videos say why didn't Lamar just check out of that play what I'm going to do is I'm going to play with says and this is going to be a continuation the next video I do is going to be kind of a continuation because Lamar had interview too but I'm going play this one first all right and then we're going to break it down and then tomorrow's video I'll tie it all together all right so without further Ado this is Mr T Martin quarterback coach of the Baltimore Ravens and let's see what he has to say about this upcoming year and passing concepts for concepts for Lamar Jackson T can you talk a little bit about what you're specifically kind of focusing on with Lamar and where he's taking his game this offseason just Improvement in all areas you know uh last year was really a great year in the sense of uh doing things from a technical standpoint new system new obligations respons responsibilities progressions schemes things of that nature and just building upon what we started last season and this offseason has been a lot about that we started with a self Scout of him and the things that from a passing standpoint that we want to improve on our technique wise reads things of that nature and uh from a run game standpoint and then built from that to uh how can we even push it further and give him more responsibility within the offense and uh doing more things that he likes to do and listening to him and things that he likes and building around that so we're uh off to a good start and looking forward to uh training camp to to really get to the identity that we want to have before the first game to say that you're putting more on his play year or two in his offense and even as his career goes every year guys that's right and that's what it's about the way Lamar sees the game and uh how how how smart he is and his intelligence his uh functional intelligence not only just in the classroom but he's able to take from the classroom and put it on the field uh with limited reps he's not a high rep guy so do things once or twice and show up in the game execute it and so uh when you have players like that you have to continue to push him um to number one keep them interested you know it's like that smart kid in the classroom you can't you know allow them to get bored right and so he's like that you know you got to constantly add things uh tweaks and and things of that nature um and responsibility so this off season from a protection standpoint being able to change routes at the line of scrimmage being able to change run schemes it takes him understanding how we're blocking things up front to get us to the best run and the best pass uh for whatever coverage we're facing so um and he's uh accepted and done a heck of a job of of uh getting us into the right play and today was probably the best day you know in a long time of him really just having the freedom to do what he wanted to do and we saw some really good uh plays and some positive Gams uh with him doing that today I'mma stop that right there because I like reading him between the lines of certain things you hear what he said is Lamar is going to have the freedom to do even more but if he was able to Audible and do certain things I know what y'all were saying is that an AFC Championship game he could have switched in the runs I don't think he was able to I think his backup call to check into was two pass plays every single time I think Lamar after that game said you will never put me in that position ever again I want more I should be able to check into runs checking the pass checking to whatever I want protection the whole n sliding I could change all the way into a screen pass heck I can change this into almost you coming on the in on SL on the line inside take you all the way to the outside if I want to oh yeah we're going to do movement let's go he wants total control I'm talking Madden control cuz I don't think he had all of it last year I've specifically said multiple times last year that um play calling at times um crap uh substitutions right like who's on the field those two things I had qualms about the entire season and I called it out for specific reasons and I always say go back to my vids and look look at the time stamp I I kept saying I'm saying bro why are they doing this why is this person in why are they doing it like that that makes no sense I think Lamar Jackson agrees I think because just like what um John harball said John Harbaugh said look you know I talked to Lamar and uh he wants even more control yeah because he wants control to combat the bad coaching that's been the point of all of this that's been the point you ever seen someone say well you could audible it's a run play all right you can audable it but it can go from you know hand off or or run it through the a gap or you can audible it to go through the B Gap you know what I'm saying or you can aut to go to a swing pass to the left yeah you AUD but it's all run plays I think that's what was going on you even kind of saw like Odell on the sideline when certain stuff was going down he was like bro what's going on you could just see Lamar like this like he's in a days look I like T I actually felt like T should be the offensive coordinator if we didn't get one of the offensive coordinators that I wanted I just felt like uh he's smart he has a a trust and understanding with the quarterback and everything he has he's earned you're talking about a former quarterback himself so he understands somewhat what what the what the quarterback is looking at cuz he's been in those shoes and he's been an athletic quarterback one that can move and get out of Harm's Way so it's not like he's looking at it just for I'mma stand in the pocket and you got to take this hit by your knees and your ankles and everything and deliver this ball right to the right side no he's looking at it like okay if they come here you might want to move to here to try to open to get throw the ball back into this window right there that's what I'm thinking hey I don't know but definitely it's something that I'm looking at uh Lamar said he wants to yeah I forgot to bring that up even in the last one uh but uh I think Lamar wants to do some practicing with his receivers and stuff like that uh down in Miami hope I me I hope I pray next week I get the opportunity to go down there I would love the opportunity to go down there and shoot him again just take some photos and then you know do probably a shot or or or or a quick episode at his restaurant a different plate of food this time who knows I might be even able to invite engraven on who knows it's just something I was thinking about I don't know if Lamar would let me again but definitely would ask um to look forward to something like that you know what I mean cuz if I could get to talk to him you know a breakdown of what he's looking at AFC Championship game and not only that the opportunity to maybe see the other player Zay hopefully baitman if he was there Isaiah likely stuff like that to get their Insight on what they're trying to build on where they're trying to go not just in the Super Bowl but offensively you know so we're get to see how that works but definitely looking at this T Martin if you haven't watched the whole thing go watch the whole thing very insightful but I wanted to make sure that I pointed out some things like because I'm I'm reading in between the lines everything that Harbaugh has said Lamar has said I'mma touch on what Lamar said on the next one right because there's something that he said in his press and what T said and what Harbaugh said and it all aligned and I'll take that up on the next video you know what I'm saying but what do you guys think where do you see this offense going do you think that Lamar is going to truly have even more control or do you think this is just a falsehood a narrative fed to the masses to quell our broken aching Hearts
