THIS LETTER WENT OUT TO PARENTS AT CES CLASSROOMS HAVE AIR CONDITIONING, BUT PROCEDURES ARE IN PLACE IN THE EVENT OF A MALFUNCTION, OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN CANCELED OR MOVED INDOORS RECESS. AND JIM WILL TAKE PLACE INSIDE TODAY. AND TOMORROW ADMINISTRATORS HAVE ADVISE PARENTS TO SEND CHILDREN TO SCHOOL WITH WATER BOTTLES. CPS ALSO SAYS STAFF FROM HEADQUARTERS WILL BE IN SCHOOLS ACROSS THE CITY TO MAKE SURE KIDS HAVE WHAT THEY NEED. >> 300,000 STUDENTS ARE RETURNING AND COULD SEE SOME CHANGES THIS SCHOOL YEAR NOVEMBER. CHICAGO'S WILL ELECT SCHOOL MEMBERS FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER THE BOARD WILL BE ELECTED. HALF REPORTED BY THE MAYOR. A FUTURE REMAINS UNCERTAIN FOR SCHOOLS. CHIEF PEDRO MARTINEZ, HE AND THE MAYOR DISAGREE OVER WAYS TO FILL A MASSIVE BUDGET HOLE AND THE TEACHERS UNION IS NEGOTIATE A NEW CONTRACT AND HE'S NOT RULING OUT A STRIKE.
