IMPOSSIBLE CHALLENGE: TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP SPECIAL - East Lake Golf Club | PGA Tour 2K23

hello everyone welcome back to the channel this is crash conro today we're going to do a special kind of one-off impossible challenge at East Lake Golf Club it is TOUR Championship week so I thought I'd quickly go to this course on the game it is an official course obviously it's in this game and EA Sports as well so impossible challenge pin for back teas everything is very firm very fast let's get into it now if you've ever played this course in this game with very fast green speeds you know how difficult it is so this might be some fun I just thought uh I'd uh revisit East Lake on this game while we're in TOUR Championship week and I thought you know maybe the impossible challenge I've I've come back to doing it I did uh Emerald Dragon quite recently so pin look at this creen I tell you what pin four here is actually not bad pin one is the is on the back right and the ball just always rolls away from it so this might actually be a slightly better pin it's still not going to be easy though especially with this wind and everything else on top of it let's see if we can get in the Fairway off the first te first drive of the day haven't even practiced one yet today and it's in the morning haven't even been awake very long but yeah that's good that is good it is in the Fairway and we move on so yeah this won't be a series or anything on this course it's just one attempt cuz I've much I'd much rather do this of course on the Alan Green spun old Tiger Woods courses so because of the elevation I feel like we need a 99 maybe that'll go too long I don't know I think the wind is going to kind of slow it down as well let's see if we can Dart this one near the flag we went with a swing like that you what that might have been online as well the slow definitely would have taken some distance off it and it didn't look too bad but this isn't a bad place to be I think maybe a flop from here but the smallest flop possible I don't even want to like Splash it from here I think we're just going to have to try and flop it out really small flop needs to sit or it does it's going to roll away though I think that's going off the green I don't think that's going to stay there hopefully it sits there though oh God it got so much Pace okay it sits here this is for par then hopefully we can make this back somewhere else so how about we just chip in how about we just chip in for the par instead could do it could do it now it's going to go off yeah uhoh Oh I thought that was going to roll away again uh this is going to be interesting I guess the goal again of course is always even par but when you get these conditions here I mean that that hole probably won the one of the toughest with like the the hills on that green so we've come away from that one one over so it might not be too bad from here okay so hold two PA three think we need a six iron five I feel like will be too long I'm going to deal off to six a little bit try that it's a better swing needs to get up I mean everything's very firm and very fast so it should do on its way it's probably going to roll off all the way to the left though oh East Lake on very firm very fast absolute nightmare we have a chip in chance for the birie to get back to even par think that's going to miss right oh was short anyway okay again we leave the chip a little bit short but it's a power on three power one two sorry a par three and we stay at one over like this little crowd of people here what are they doing okay should I just drive it down there or should I kind of make sure I'm in the Fairway I mean there's no real safe shot here anyway I think I think it's just going to have to be a driver that's going to be left yeah can't be can't afford to hit those kind of slows here oh God okay well I don't know what we do from here probably just punch it I don't really know just have to try and get it up there somewhere I think we I think we're going to have to punch it cuz the pitch is going to hit those trees I don't know where this is going to go but we just got to try and get it there somewhere okay well it still clip the trees it's going to be short we got to get up and down from here for the part oh this isn't light I thought this was going to be light rough so I think again I'm just going to kind of flop this as as I can I'm on an uphill slope so I'm hoping it will sit oh it tries to sit there's a big uphill slope there so it should slow down okay we got this left for the par and if we don't get this we're going to move to two over important part now does it hold on after uh after this oneof at East Lake that was really slow as well what is my swing right now not going to do very very well if we keep hitting shots like that and we're miles away now so again we're just going to be playing for the par we can't get there in two another slight slow but that's better if we can if we can hit shots like that please get rid of these big slows so again we just got to try and get a par here and I think again it's going to be a flop flop is being used quite a lot early in this early in this round it's a really good swing I don't normally get that with a flop really good swing okay played for a bit too much wind but still right by the hall we're really grinding out here scrambling could definitely be worse than one over at this point okay these narrow Fairways with this wind you know you have to have a good swing and that's better much better now hopefully that does doesn't kick off to the right on these very firm Fairways so this video will probably be going out on either Wednesday or Thursday Thursday as in the first day of the uh TOUR Championship so yeah should coincide with it but let me know who you have to win I know hovland is the defending champion and I think he should make it right I think he's in the top 30 I am recording this during the BMW Championship that's not finished yet I'm trying to record these when I actually have time to okay so yeah this is going to be a lob wedge and we've really just got to try and dart this one at the flag a little bit left not too far left though that was the biggest danger there it might come back actually it might keep going come on Roll towards it oh it stops there but this is a birdie chance now this is like feels like the first big birdie chance we've had it's really downhill though got be mindful of that just going to turn slightly left and then just come back at the hole I think this is for birie the get back to even par and we do it even par again at East Lake in the impossible challenge and now we move on to a par five and this is where we want to score as always it's a big slow again though that's not going to help the cuse unless we get a nice little kick to the right oh we do a little bit we get away with that light rough and we might even still be able to just like go at it at least a little bit just smash a three-wood up there I don't know if it'll make it but I think it's worth doing it's a better swing and you know very F Fairways might get the kick oh it does it's going to get there we're on there for an eagle on on the first par five on the course I don't know what kind of part this is going to be from there okay oh it's 2 in up it's not too bad really strong downhill slope where the hole is though I think we have to be careful of that so I'm not going to add too much power to this I don't want to lose this ball past the hole this might this might end up being short but this is for an eagle okay it should start to turn definitely going to be low absolutely going to be low but seriously like the more you go out that hole the more you risk the ball like flying off the other side for for birdie and we get it I was going to say for pie there but we are we're under power now we're under power in the impossible challenge so that's good stuff and it's another extremely narrow Fairway on hole s yeah I made sure I hit a fast there okay that felt really fast actually but game's telling me it's only slightly fast and is it going to stay in the light oh I think it's just got out perfect t- shot now okay so we're 13 ft down we're also on a downhill slope so I think a sand wedge is actually going to be enough going to slightly deloft it and we've really just got to go at the pin there's no other option slight slow again oh that's all the way to the left and it is actually short I think the slow kind of killed it I didn't really aim in the right spot so we're off the green again so we got a Scramble for the par probably and I think again it's just going to be a flop it should go down this hill towards the pin I think I'm on a downhill slope in in the bunker as well so it's probably going to get a bit more carry from that oh it absolutely did Jesus does that come back or does that sit there ooh we got a tough P for the par very tough part oh this is awkward that grid line that's right by me I don't really know what that's doing looks a bit Jagged but we're going to just have to go for this this is to save par on seven and to stay under par for the round oh what a read what a read we get it good save also on the channel guys I'm doing a Happy Gilmore career mode on EA Sports PGA Tour uh again I'm not sure when this video will go out this video will probably go out before the to the tour championship starts in that career mode yeah happy Gilmore's career the first season he's ready for the Tour Championship in the same week is the real thing and it will be 4 full rounds and it will just be coinciding with each round in the real thing Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday it's not often you get to kind of coincide career stuff with in real life stuff so I thought that would be a fun way to close off the first season okay so I guess five iron is the club here on whole eight just need to make sure we get it there 25 yards that should be enough that should absolutely get there really slow again I'm hoping it gets there now I don't think missing on the left is too bad it's going to be an uphill part it might not be a part at all if it goes off oh God stay there please okay all right well it's a chip but it's an awkward one cuz it's if it's past the hole it's going to roll away the other side so this happened at Emerald Dragon we had a similar one to this so I might have to just make sure I don't hit this too hard maybe uh be short on purpose just to give myself an easier par oh not that short that's way short oh my God I did not I didn't think that was going to be that short oh dear okay well we're on the green now which is probably for the best we have the longest pass save of all time going to turn right at the start and then left nearer to the hole well let's see if we can work some magic from 48 ft for the par good start to turn left and it's short again stay there please okay yeah that's what I wanted from the chip that's what I wanted from the chip but we just played it way too short so it's a bogy on eight and the impossible challenge hangs in the balance we're still passing for now but plenty of difficult holes at East Lake and it could all go wrong quite easily is this a I think this is a three iron cuz if it bounces in the Fairway in the right place it'll get up there I I don't really want a three with this like it could go anywhere I'm going to deal off to three iron slightly I fit it really slow again now we got we got to stop hitting those slows man we're not we're not going to do this if we keep it in these slows I'm still underestimating the wind as well like I need to aim those more left okay think again it's going to be a flop think again that is the play we might just have to try and play this around the back it does come back here there is a bit of a back stop the thing is there more the more we catch these left the these slopes moving to the right the more likely the ball's just going to roll all the way off so I don't I don't think we can play for that too much I think we kind of need to just go at it if we can that's what we're going to do with a flop if it sits it's good but I don't think it's going to okay it sits on The Fringe that's probably better for us right now uh do I putt this it's going to be awkward it's a very short chip I don't I don't think I should put it I think I should just chip it I mean I think I should just go for the put now getting the power right here is going to be a bit tougher but I still think this is this has a better chance T chiping it right pting from The Fringe oh no it slowed down way too quickly okay and that's what can happen if you keep it in slows guys underpar but overpar sorry back overpar for the front n and we have to try and recover that birdies are not easy to come by here and it's a slow again off the T not as bad but it's still going to be in the rough and we just have to get those out of our game come on this part this this challenge is possible I just need to stop hitting the slows got a real case of them right now right this isn't a long hole that tree it's not going to come into play I don't think we're kind of directly underneath it so we could still go at it thing is what club is 24 ft up I think this might be a n99 be honest I think it's going to catch the front and hopefully roll a bit that's better and that's not a bad shot either I think that goes right from there I think does it come back off the little back stop or does it sit there no it's coming back it's coming back and it could go in oh my God it's so close to going it stop now oh you kidding me well that's the impossible challenge at East Lake for you oh my goodness it almost goes in and said it rolls all the way off the green okay chip from here then that could go in as well oh come on twice on this hole at least that one didn't roll back it's going to be a par well the approach for the eagle was close and then the chip was even closer but it doesn't drop and now we have a very difficult path three well if it lands anywhere here I think it's actually going to roll all the way back to the hole you just don't want to hit it too far that's the that's the big risk here really is four in the play I think we're going to hit a three I could deal off the four but I don't trust it to get there so I'm going to hit a three slightly partial three ir and that's a better swing oh God it could be be going the other way now actually hold the green please no I mean that's going off I'm pretty sure oh was going to sit on The Fringe as well Jesus okay I think that's just me not getting the wind right again underestimating the wind okay well thankfully there's a back a bit of a back stop after the hole like it does come back towards me so I'm actually going to try and Chip it over these a lot of these these slopes going downhill I don't want the ball to get that much momentum could go in though nah all right yeah those slopes means it's going to hold the green and we have to get this fora now Papa good save good save now I know the last hole is a power five and ideally we'll be scoring there is impossible challenge so you don't know but if we can get to the last hole one over I think that gives us a decent chance but we have to get there you know one over at the worst I think cuz I'm not sure if we'll be getting an eagle there at least but this hole again not very long so if we can hit the Fairway another big slow and again it's going to be off the green Fairway I mean oh dear oh dear oh that's even worse from there okay I mean it's going to get over it's not going to it's not going to hit the slope I don't think not with a sandwich pitch or whatever we're going to hit I'm gonna hit a full lob wge actually get as much loft out of this lie as we can and it's going to shoot off to the right but I think with the wind and the pull that I give it it is going to come back was way too short though way too short oh my goodness I guess I kind of forgot I was on a really big uphill slope so I I should have hit it full that really should have been obvious it's stillo early in the morning guys I'm not I'm not concentrated all right as long as that sits anywhere near the hole okay it's going to be another par the impossible challenge still hangs in the balance we're one over with six to play we still have that par three coming I don't remember exactly what hole it is but it's kind of an island a bit of an island green not really but it is like a lot of water you've got to carry and considering the amount of slow we've been getting I'm worried for that one still a slow I think we're going to get away with that one yeah I don't know I need to be swinging a little bit faster than I am but this is this is a good position now this is a really good position if we can just get this pitch right wind is going to push it a bit forward but it is going to slow down quite quickly that's better that's a fast needs to get up there and not spin back oh it's a good shot good shot should be a b and it is we get back to even par imagine the the real life golfers playing in these kind of conditions on these greens how funny would that be probably a good thing that they don't uh this one yeah this one as well it's a downhill t- shot all the way slow again oh that one wasn't that bad that felt really slow again guys I'm not going to lie but it was okay and hopefully this holds the Fairway cuz it's such an easier approach if it does I don't even want light Ruff here really it's not the end of the world if it does though stay in there stay there yes okay all right at least we're in the Fairway then we got a full shot at this being long here is very dangerous I might hit a seven is that crazy I mean it might not reach but at least it it won't be long maybe a Del lofted seven see if we can get a bounce oh the fast now oh come off that oh that's that's still not good it hasn't come out and yeah the tempo guys is all over the place I mean you need a good Tempo here right so what's the play then what's the play I think the only choice really is to play for these slopes and have it come back either that or we just kind of take our medicine and just go for the bogey but I think if we flop it here it should get some roll out so I think this might be the play as long as it doesn't sit up here really that's that's the worst case scenario but I really don't think it will with these green speeds I say roll out a bit that's it now come back off this slope it's not going to stop going left I can tell you that much okay all right we went for it we went for it not a bad effort might be able to put it from here if it's mostly straight tell you what it's mostly a straight part we just got to get the power right right let's see let's see what we got so it is going to turn right at the start we can see that for sure and then it just comes back at the hole but I feel like that right turn is going to be quite strong okay going to have to give this a lot of power as well it's all uphill uphill all the way yeah I think it's going to turn more to the right it definitely looks like it will can we save par can we save par yes we can just about it almost slowed down that is a huge pass save at this point in the round just going to let the Replay play out while I drink some coffee look at that it almost stopped but we get the PA we stay at even and here is the hole here it is and this wind this wind is not kind in fact that's very awkward cuz do we do we hit a three iron is that going to be enough I don't know if it's going to be enough we might have to three with it three ir's going to be very close but three three wood is safe we might just have to play for a bogey here guys I'm not going to lie I I'm going to hit a three-w slightly partial I think that's the best play big fast but the wind is going to bring it back okay now does that come back at all or does it just sit up there got too much roll out I think I'd be very surprised if that comes back oh hold on come on then very fast greens help me out keep coming keep coming keep coming oh it sits there oh it's just on top of this slope and now I don't really think we have an option I think this is going to go off we we gave it our best hit it a bit too hard and honestly I don't think this is going to stop but we will try we we will try and take a lot of pace off this aim it all the way to the right it does really it really flattens out where the hole is but we we have to get it down there so I think it's going to pick up too much momentum on the way to stop let's see what we do here this is for Birdie on 15 there he goes down the slope definitely missing left now does it hold or is it going to keep going does it hold the green I knew it was going to do that I knew it I knew it was going to like borderline stop and then suddenly catch the strong slope and go off okay all right we're here for a for a par now can we get a good chip the stay even oh we almost do and it actually goes a little bit by I was going to come back a bit okay B bogy and we get it okay it could have been worse and the goal for the next two holes at minimum is to just stay even par don't be going into the last hole to over cuz it could be game over all right it's a better the swing has kind of sorted itself out so far so that's good Les Low's off the te we can go out this one p is at the back really elevated and again the ball is probably just going to go off there to the right I mean we could see that from here but the important thing here is just to not miss long or left that is the important thing here I think it is a 99 we're going to aim quite far to the right going hit a slight fast and that looks decent oh it needs to sit though it needs to sit don't go over the back no no it's going to sit there oh dear we really wanted to be on the green or like missed to the right really okay I I really don't know like there is a back stop so it's not going to roll too far but I think it's just going to keep going left like I don't think it's going to stop going left from here yeah there was just there was no stopping it no stopping it that's unfortunate man that really is unfortunate I can't believe that carried as much as it did you know 31 ft up I really thought that was going to stop all right this is massive then we really need to get this now we need to get this chip in oh we do it catches the hole and goes in oh my goodness what an impossible challenge this has been so many saves like that oh i' caught enough of the hole to drop oh the crowd look really excited don't they must be cheering for the other guys all right two holes left the last one is a par five we're looking to get a birdie there whole 17 can we just get through this hole unscathed it's not very long but the wind is directly into us it's another good swing although the wind might be doing a bit too much to that oh no oh it's landed I don't know if that's better actually and being in the bunker okay I should have a that more right come on man headwind you know what that's going to do to the ball right what's the play where do we where do we not want to miss being long quite costly being left quite costly as well the ball's going to shoot off to the left where I am I think it is going to be at least a five iron be honest with the lie and the wind is it a four is it a four IR or a five iron I feel like it has to be a four surely just don't be long right but don't be long or left that's really the goal here okay well yeah short anyway short anyway it's going to sit in the rough now what do we have from here we' got to get up and down from here yeah thankfully it's we haven't missed in the worst spot here might be a little flop again flops been working out for us quite well and again just try and catch the front we could try and use the back stop but I'm worried it's going to not stop again if it catches these slopes too much so yeah we're just going to probably miss right and just get the p in from there need to set oh it does it sits straight away sit there okay good save again good save again we're going into the last hole the PA five at one over we need a birdie here to clear the challenge and the wind not quite with us not quite with us a bit of Tailwind but this t-shot of course you got to be careful because it is really down hill this might just be a three-wood or do I just want to drive it and try and get it down that slope at least okay right we're going to we're going to drive it but take a lot off it cuz we it needs to kind of stop bouncing around where this hill is and then roll down there that's the that's the goal here so going to take quite a lot of a drive baade it slightly around the trees a good drive now is that going to get there is that going to reach the hill it's got a lot of momentum needs to reach it come on get the distance yes that's exactly what we wanted stops bouncing before that Hill rolls down there 332 yards now what do we do now what is the play I mean three iron with that carry that could easily bounce and then get on there we're on a downhill slope as well going to be a bit tight going to be a bit tough to do but if I thre with it and I'm long we that's probably game over it's better to leave it below the hole I think so we're going to three line this one Slow's not going to help me but it is coming back how's the bounce how is the bounce it's going to bounce on quite hard it's just short of the green and it's just going to require Two Shots from here we have the chip in for the eagle can we get something special on the last hole the eagle chipping oh it's going to be short we almost finished with the spectacular but guys it is a birdie on the last we play the last hole perfectly it is even par in the impossible challenge at East Lake and that is a clear barely wow what a tth round that was 27% greens but we get it done that was so clutched that was a lot of fun as well and that was a one-off guys so one attempt and we get it done thank goodness but yeah so the impossible challenge penguin falls will be coming next so look forward to that one yeah I had a lot of fun here I'm not going to lie I've never had that much fun playing East Lake I'll tell you that much but yeah remember to
