OLMO GAME-WINNER! Barcelona DEFEATS Rayo Vallecano & Mallorca DRAW vs. Sevilla | La Liga

hello and welcome back to the give and go I'm your Coast Ros here with my boy solto how's it going here with a little La Liga recap for the matches that happened today we got a double header on our hands with Sevilla tying mayorca in mayorca stadium and Barcelona coming out on top against rayano a crazy comeback after being down one nil in the first half second half turn around with the one and only Dan olmo on his debut delivering the gamewinner there's nothing better than a full house in vas man La Pata I honestly love seeing R play it's beautiful and they had a great 20 minutes a great first 20 minutes then Barcelona starts to get in the game bro and honestly going into halftime I was just thinking there's no way R will hold on to this lead and they worked so hard to get that one it was a beautiful goal from un Lopez but Barcelona were just getting more and more on the ball they started dictating the pace of the game R were just responding to whatever Barcelona were throwing at them and as we've said at the beginning of the Season Barcelona have difference makers all across the pitch so it was only a matter of time that be was going to get his goal it was only a matter of time that Dono on his debut was going to score a beautiful little curling goal to make it 2-1 and unfortunately RI will lose this game but you know we could some things to talk about Barcelona cuz as I've said before I think they're going to have a great great season this year dude Barcelona with nine points now leading the table three wins out of three and you're right the Difference Maker stepped up especially lamin ma as well in that second goal getting past that b fullback he had been trying that entire game finally broke him and then threaded a perfect ball over to Dano who then finished and then bedri getting a goal shout out to him very well placed good to see him Thrive starting off the season healthy maybe we get a full season of healthy Bey I actually think that's very important to Barcelona being a contender in La Liga is the health of pedri so far so good I'm impressed with Barcelona because to start this game it did look like it was going to be a tough challenge for them going down pretty early in this match to an unai Lopez goal and just that crowd getting into the game rayano known to pose a very feisty type of threat to the top teams in this league I thought maybe this would be a tough match a tough test for Barcelona and ultimately it was because bro they had to work to get those two goals but once they did they controlled it there was a little chance at the very end that could have resulted in a goal for rayano but something about these lower level laa teams man you just know you just know that luck isn't going to be in their favor bro because he just couldn't get his foot on it and Barcelona goes on to win I think we made this point before last year that the finishing in La Liga is you know it's not great when it comes to these lower level teams they play Beautiful football the the passing is amazing Rio at their best are so fluid going forward but they're finishing man if they just had finished they they they could have won this game like they played their defense played that well and I I before I get into Barcelona I do want to highlight ri's Defender Abdul mumin oh my God he was absolutely everywhere fantastic performance from him defensively and honestly for the Vera Viano they were fantastic but yeah Barcelona specifically their youngsters have really shown up at the beginning of the season but you look at it like no Aro no Christensen no Eddie Garcia so no Gabi either they all to come in and bro I mean Mark ber now what do you think about him 17 years old 17 from his player profile point of view he is as defensive as it gets from a midfielder but the thing is it works it allows kundai to go up forward because beral will always just stay back I thought he had a really great performance he's very professional very mature but you could say that about all barcelon youngsters 17 own lamin yamal yes maybe he struggled a little bit but I don't even think struggles the right word because he was cooking he was just constantly going and he's all I I think honestly if he just puts it to himself he can get a goal or assist in every game this season and he and he has so far dude he has so far it's ridiculous kuari CER back 17 18 years old Martin as a left back ridiculous man it's it's crazy how the the youngsters that are really stepping up for them and then uh Hans flick doing a really interesting thing by playing both Rafia and laminal at the same time using using Rafia in a kind of free number 10 roll where he can just kind of go and roam anywhere I like it I love the offensive approach to it again it works because Bernal is so defensive and then you have bedri who can join in on the attack um I just think rafin is probably not the guy there like it's probably going to be Dan olmo there I think rafin is just best when he's out in a wing position but either way I love the offensive approach that flick is trying to implement here so I I don't think warina had a bad game particularly I just think he's better out wide from a starting position yeah and then Dan ommo in his appearance I thought he was Stellar Stellar man from the moment he came on he hit the post from who knows how many yards out he got really close on a longrange effort and overall I love the impact he had Off the Bench expect him to start some games in the future with how well he played today but looking at Viano I mean is James Rodriguez a solution there broam Rodriguez Colombian Legend and icon is going to be joining the rayano team and he was in the stadiums in the stands for this match man that was awesome I'd heard the rumors but seeing him actually in the stadium I was like oh okay this is awesome like this is going to happen jamed Rodriguez and R this is giving fala when he came here at the very end of his career honestly I think it's the perfect place to be James James's best moments have not been at top clubs they have been with you know Loki Everton you know casually with Colombia mainly right of course and so I think Rio Viano is the per perfect place for Kus to be right now especially with the World Cup coming in two years time he's going to play whether it's Off the Bench or in starting position and he's going to have fun because of the way that Rio play it's an emphasis off the pass you have some really fun midfielders to combine with I think hamus is going to be a great addition to the RO team yeah I hope he just buys into it I don't know what it is about these Club teams that he just maybe it's a level of passion maybe it's a level of care but if he buys into the project that vako is proposing him I actually think it could be really really positive for him bro it could be a really fun experience and you're right for hamus ultimately is about just staying right for the World Cup because colia I think will be big Contender for a dark horse type of candidacy going into that tournament and I think if you have James Rodriguez cooking on all levels leading into it then that's all the better Rio is currently in eighth place now with four points one win one draw one loss do they finish above or below eighth place uh I don't know I need to see the rest of mid-table La Liga to give a full analysis on that uh I I'm say no I I bet they could finish eighth on the dot I bet they could I'm going say nine or 10 yeah nine or 10 for me yeah yeah uh literally said over the last couple weeks that Barcelona are going to finish above Atletico atletic finishes over BARC no we've spent so much and it's super exciting but it's a lot of change I don't doubt that Simone will be able to get this team working at a very high level very quickly but I look at Barcelona bro I mean they they're they're stacked yeah like think so I I do think so like for example Frankie D young he's better than any midfielder we have and then you consider laminal the tournament that he just had in the Euros ridiculous he's better than any wide footballer we have Robert leand I do think he had a weird season last year he's obviously not getting any younger but he's a great Striker to have this get p over Venus and I actually believe that levandowski went off the last three months of La Liga I think he's going to continue that and that hurts me man that pains me do you know how much I wish that wasn't true but I try to remain as objective as I can and I do believe that Barcelona have the better players I'd kill for a guy like bedri I would kill for a guy like pedre bro but we don't have that at Atletico all right and so I think the the hate that we give to Barcelona is so fair bro because the financial situation that they're in is a trash fire it is a literal trash fire D it's a dster fire bro and so if you think that's hate then you're just delusional not knowing the state that your club's actually in but also look at what you have on the pitch you have the probably the best team outside of Madrid in La Liga enjoy it man so I'm just saying me for me it's it's like an older brother little brother type situation and big bro is at Harvard right now and he's going for you know he wants to become an astronaut go to work for NASA or something whereas L bro coming home with D's on his report card and you want me to show them the same love as your har like I'm sorry I'm going pick sides here I'm going pick sides and I understand Barca has a lot of talent we've given them their credit but please understand that when we compare to Madrid we're not going to give them the same level of Love bro because it's not it's not hasn't been earned bro yes you won that Liga during our podcast ten years so far but you haven't won the Champions League you Haven come close to Champions League multiple times like how Real Madrid has done it that in of itself I think has earned so much respect from us especially you ultimately a Madrid hater when it comes down to it because you're an Athletico Madrid fan and me who doesn't really care about La Liga and as more of a premier league Liverpool fan so I'm trying to be as honest as I can dude I want to see Barcelona succeed if they do we will gladly give them their flowers but if they don't then I mean we're going to be critical by I don't think that's hate I think that's just us observing the team for what it is man exactly what else you want me to say bro exactly I just hope I just hope people hear that cuz when we do quote unquote hate on Barca it's nothing man it's nothing like they should see the way we talk about Sevilla and myor bro they should see the way we talk about those teams bro if I was a Sevilla fan and you're about to hear what I'm about to say i' so hurt I'd be turn it off bro so yeah absolutely seia mayor nil nil both these teams currently on two points with zero wins two draws and one loss but this result z z i I think is actually not indicative of the game we saw cuz I actually found myself entertained I found myself entertained brother especially in the second half when mayorca had their best spell of the match it was like right around the hour mark and they started to really boss the game get the ball into the box and it was in that spell that moriki got onto the end of a loose ball should have finished Mya at home should have gone up one n he had it it was basically one-on-one with the keeper in that moment and he elects to go with a little left foot poke I I I didn't get that and in the moment I was like whoa whoa what what what what what's he doing he should have stroke it nice and easy with his right foot put it up one n but what's crazy is that that wasn't the end of the action in the ensuing corner kick some ghost that missed a sitter yep an absolute sitter and it was those two moments that cost mayorca three massive massive points right here dude I was disappointed Miki I I think what he was trying to do was surprise the keeper by poking it earlier than expected but he didn't shift it far enough far wide enough into the corner it was too Central so the keeper was able to react but I would have lik for him to just smash it with this right foot that we know he has and scored a beautiful goal there to give him the lead But ultimately he didn't man he didn't and it's tough because moriki is in delivering for you right now for his mayorca team offensively then it's tough to find any other Avenue news of goals especially when we have Kyle lren up top bro which I want to talk about because I've been keeping an eye on him basically every time I watch myor because he does get the starts he does get the opportunities he started 35 La Liga games last year damn scor three goals yeah that's disappointing bro even in this mayorca engine and system that's disappointing to me man especially because of the player that I believe Kyle Len to be his time in La Liga has not been very fruitful coming from Ravi loled after he was in Belgium I believe making a big move over to Spain well we' seen from him has really been disappointing overall and the reason I bring him up is because I think now there's a new threat coming through the transfer window that mayorca has acquired that I think will ultimately take over his place and Japanese you could say star takuma asano getting minutes in this game having one shot on goal that was kind of dangerous but not really but still I like the idea of asano challenging Len for that pairing Striker spot next to Miki because I think Maya actually does need it I'm prct that we're seeing a little bit of the end here for Len at least in La Liga send him over to France maybe even Germany but I think for La Liga kyleen just isn't the guy ultimately up top and asano might end up being that instead yeah it's disappointing personally for lren cuz there was a moment especially during the Canada run in World Cup qualification for 2022 where Len looks so good his Club form was fantastic he was translating it over to National Team performances and considering his age I was think thinking that this form was going to last for four or five years straight yeah but it was a very small Peak he peaked in 2021 and it has been a steady decline since then it is very disappointing um I guess all I can say is that he does at least get the start so he's getting the opportunities to try and change his form that's all I can say that means he's got to be doing something right in training he must be good in training he's got to be doing something right so that's the only positive I can really throw his way cuz three goals and 35 appearances is just very poor yeah his his best last year was theop he scored four goals and seven appearances on the way to that finals appearance behind the one only Vasco air who notably isn't here isn't here for Mya and instead we have I don't know his name but a new coach at hand I don't know do you know his name it's um it's hagai I think he used to coach sad or something like that good coach at H but getting off to a questionable start here three games no win so far kind of similar Vibe for Sevilla man both of these teams were looking for the result which is why I think we saw Sevilla have a pretty good first half where I think they dominated most of it but then Maya flipping it in the second half ending nil nil tie here bro what else did I see in this game no I mean for me seevilla is just so predictable even when they do let's say quote unquote dominate a match I'd say in these first couple matches of La Liga and all of last year you know what's coming you know how to defend against seevilla and for seevilla when they play football it looks so labored it looks like they're running twice as hard to gain the same amount of yardage as their opponents and that can't be a good way to play the game of football man you got to be way more creative off the pass especially in La Liga where it's passing is the main way to play for Z it's like it's a lot of dribbling it's a lot of I want to say pointless running and you get this product where not nothing happens myota had the best chances in the game sure seevilla definitely had a better first half but I just don't think they do much with it they have a couple of new players right Ian Nao from Lester City they have auk um Nigerian Niger another Nigerian FL is I think from Belgium or something like that let me let me check that for you he's from Royal antp yes yeah Belgium so I he he's going to have to work very hard to be comfortable in a much difficult much more difficult League here in Spain look at bakio I mean honestly just not much that much better from an output point of view so you look at sevilla's front line and I'm just not seeing a lot of goals for the rest of this like I I don't even see them improving realistically and and you tried bro he tried he was hard they they tried the energy was crazy from auki he stood out to me a lot he was at the end of almost every opportunity but those opportunities like you said weren't that just weren't that great in the Midfield you have uh Lona dbo and then you're you're a boy I guess so yes who actually got a red card in this game yeah dude I will say bizarre sing sa play for any other La team his weird honestly doesn't look like he cares that much anymore I wouldn't either he's a decade out of bro that's a long he's still 29 though man like he's acting like he's 37 on a rocky teach type contract man it looks like he's about to retire two years and he he might he might he might be one those dude yeah and so I I thought it would be great for seevilla cuz he's going to put in the work he's going to be solid but I mean he's also Saul right it's why at let he let him go he's just he's just a midfielder he's not attacking he's not even that defensive at the end of the day he's just there to fill a position he will do it but for seevilla that is not the guy you need you need creatives you need you need energy in this team and it's just not there I wonder if Valentine Barco can maybe help out a little bit I think he will that' be nice I think he will a healthy Lucas okos definitely will as well the problem is is that they're going to be so isolated they're not going to have any help I think this is going to be another just very frustrating season for Seeva they do have talent I that's why I think they'll be fine as far as relegation concerned right cuz you do have you know loonga so in Midfield to you know make sure things are okay Lo B seems to be a good Defender he featured for France at the Olympics he's solid but
