Gwyneth Paltrow IRON MAN 3 Interview (2013)

Gus it's always a pleasure to see you um from what I saw of Iron Man 3 uh Peppa pots gets exciting things to do but without giving too much away let's say she she does more than look at the um armor yeah this movie was fun for me pepper gets to do um a lot of exciting things that she hasn't gotten to do in the other movies so it was nice to be able to do more yeah absolutely and it does feel like the characters have evolved in a real character Arch throughout the film is that what continues the enjoyment for you to be her yeah absolutely you know she definitely keeps evolving from film to film and um she gets to do more things and you know she really grows into herself more so it's fun are you constantly surprised about how much these characters are enduring and memorable uh you know it's big blockbuster movies but they they get the chance to shine a lot so it's it's a very good balance yeah I think you know it's nice to even though it's a big Blockbuster movie that you're working with actors who are really fantastic and really interesting actors and uh so it's nice you know it's like a really good balance it's you don't feel like you're selling out do you get interested in what the fans you know how they feel about it what they think you know do you take their opinions in mind um I tend to stay away from the internet as a general rule so um but I I hear you know like oh the fans are excited about you know pepper they really love this poster whatever like people tell me about it I'm I always feel like a kid in a candy store when I go on set for films like that Etc is it the same from your point of view as an actress do you get excited by the props around you or having your family there does it make them excited about it I love having my family there and having you know especially my son on this movie he was so excited and um it was great for him you know he was thrilled cuz he loves the Iron Man movies and yeah it's great are you the coolest mom on the planet to him now probably this week when the movie comes out so so he yeah he's he's going to go see it and and over in a different light that's so funny is it true that he told you that Justin Bieber was going to know that you're an Iron Man what's the story yeah he he just sort of put together we were going to see a Justin Bieber concert and he said you know Justin Bieber might know who you are from Iron Man I was like yeah he might it's very sweet yeah it's so sweet it's it's really nice I think you're in in in in a great um place where you can pick and choose what you like from the indust because you want to choose what you want to do do you know more what you like about it what you like about acting what you only like to do um you know I think I've had a very interesting career it's been very varied and I've gotten to do a lot of amazing things and um you know I look forward to to what's coming um down the road and you know maybe another Iron Man or something like that but I feel very fortunate with the things I've been able to do so far you're a very multi-talented person not only to give you conf complim but it's true you know singing writing books being a you know a great family woman um is it important for you the word eclectic that your life is so Diversified that you get to do so many things yeah it's important for me because I think it keeps me very engaged and inspired to be doing different things and um you know I'm a very creative person so when I'm home and after I take the kids to school for example I have you know a few hours to work on my website and things like that and uh so I'm I'm always feeling inspired and creative and it's it's a nice business to have on the side do you think your children would like to be I mean obviously you've grown up in a in a movie Family uh if they wanted to be in the cinema business would you like that I I'll support them whatever they want to do you know I I'm interested to see what they'll end up doing they're both very intelligent people so we'll see what we'll see where it takes them were your parents your role models in terms of Cinema they were both wonderful actress and producer um yeah I mean I think I I think you know they were very talented and what they did my mother still works all the time it's nice to come from a family where people take their work seriously they're not being actors or producers in order to be famous they're doing it because it's a noble Pursuit and they love the art of it so you know that's that's the environment that I grew up in basically yeah it's wonderful uh what do you love most about Peppa pots I mean you know we've seen her evolve so much in the films and she is you know quite a a tough cookie she's tough but you know she's a good girl she's very warm and she's very grounded and I like that about her a lot
