round draft pick and today a new Accolade civil rights Champion Warren Sap's career speaks for itself over 13 years in the NFL and now a coach at the University of Colorado Boulder I get an email and at the bottom it signed Warren Sap immediately I was in disbelief and of course I didn't believe it was him much less could I believe the allegations that this potential impostor was making against police and then after exchanging emails he sent me cell phone video footage that cell phone video footage followed with over an hour and a half phone call between myself and Warren and he was exactly ly who he said he was on February 24th 2024 Warren and a group of people were driving some very expensive and fast cars all in the name of Charity when some unprofessional cops tried issuing speeding tickets speeding tickets that had no basis on fact or law a longtime fan of this Channel and civil rights Warren pulled out his phone and he started speaking truth to these cops he identified them immediately as dirty corrupt and racist cops but at the time they had no idea who he was apparently these racist cops didn't think he deserved the name because over the radio they referred to him as an unidentified black male the okachobee county sheriffs in okachobee County Florida first cited obstruction Warren immediately owned them saying that obstruction is only a physical act and that his first amendment right can't be converted into a crime and neither could his skin color but that didn't stop these cops from making one of the worst mistakes in their life they put him in handcuffs and they arrested him for obstruction they still had no idea what they had done or whom they had done it to he sat in holding for hours being abused by multiple police officers and supervisors finally he was released when he put in a call to the county sheriff once the sheriff realized who he was immediately everything changed Warren was told that they just needed two days and they would figure this out Warren was much more interested in accountability for what happened to him than he was having these erroneous charges dropped he called out the sheriff's department they didn't like it very much at all but when these charges got to the prosecutor's office they were dropped immediately and Warren is just as much a champion off the field as he is on the field I can tell you that the University of Colorado Boulder is lucky to have a man like Warren molding young minds and standing up for what's right from Super Bowl champion to civil rights Champion Warren knew to record everything from this video to every single phone call records request Warren did it all he's been a fan of mine for a long time so he sent this video to me and only me personally he's not interested in money he's got that he's not interested in Fame he's had that he's interested in accountability Warren says that he went from unidentified black male to identified rich black male and that's the only thing that made his illegal arrest go away his concern is how many unidentified black males without his bank account are being legally held in okachobee County right now or in the past he wants to make sure that this footage as we release the call to you that he made to a supervisor at the sheriff's department this video goes to show that racism knows no bounds racism is blind to money or to fame racism engulfs anybody whether you're homeless on the street or you're a Pro Bowl winner racism and dirty cops will find you but Warren always has been and still is a champion of the people and he's suing this department my prediction in this lawsuit is the same as any of Warren's games he identifies his opponent he breaks through the defense he goes in for the sack and comes out with yet another victory conversation for transparency and accountability please is that all right I don't have a problem with oh no no just mean if that's you know it's how you do business and that that's how you do business out let it go how how I do business I wanted to know you said to me you would handle it and I wanted to know how you was handling it cuz I wasn't going forward I was just getting my people you know in in in and ready because I was charged and had to bail out of jail you realize that right I understand that but rightfully so you know so I mean you're not you're not completely innocent in this situation you both could have handled this situation the whole lot better than how it was handled you know I'm not going to Monday Morning Quarterback either one of you but both of you are in the wrong so you want if you want the thing if you want this thing to go its course we'll let it go its course I you call you all right how about this how about this Chief how about how about this Chief and you said you was going to call me so you're calling me today to tell me what I'm asking you what do you want done do you want me to work on this or are you going to do it are you going to work on that's what I'm asking you you left me with the impression that you was going to handle this right that's what you said to me Sunday morning correct I said no I said I let me give me a couple of days a couple days all right now now you now you got a couple days you reviewed the footage and you're saying you're not going to Mone more I just want to know does does my constitutional rights survive in okobe you then then you you just go through your due process and we'll see where you where your your civil rights go Warren that's what you need to no I'm I'm I'm asking because I was I was understand completely where you're at no I was charged I was charged with obstruction correct and and you're and you and you rightfully so rightfully so so when you uh in in a traffic stop when when is the traffic stop over when the when the deputy of the officer says that it's over they're conducting official business you impeded on their investigation as obstruction and got charged accordingly and you believe that's that that's according with Florida statute what yeah I do believe that the arrest was valid do I believe that the officer was a little froggy to jump if you will absolutely absolutely no no no let me finish let me finish let me finish please and then do I believe that you interjected in the traffic stop that had nothing to do with you absolutely there's a proper time and a place warn for you to deal with that and ask your questions rightfully so for your due process and your constitutional right when that officer is doing a traffic stop that is not the time you're professional when you were on the field doing your job nobody interjected with you and your job correct so there is a right time if they want to ask you a question then that's rightfully so that officer is doing the traffic stop you do not impede on that investigation even if they're wrong you don't question them on the of the road that is not the proper time nor the place that's that that's that's what you're going with yes sir that's what I'm going with so you have a good morning take care so what do I do with uh my CH okay here we go Warren's charges were ultimately dropped by the prosecutor's office putting these cops in a very precarious situation a situation I would identify as a career killer Warren is committed to exposing these comps and holding them to the ultimate level of accountability both publicly and in the court system he plans to sue for the negligent supervision of these officers in a 1983 USC for the deprivation of his rights under the color of Law and he plans to donate any of the money he gets from his lawsuit to the victims of police violence after speaking to him on the phone for just five minutes I came to a very real realization that Warren is every bit the same man off the field as he is on the field honest Relentless and pure ultimately Warren wants you to know that this could happen to anybody hate sees no person individually and neither the dirty cops if it could happen to him then it definitely could happen to you and he's going to do everything in his power to make sure that this doesn't happen again a champion on the field and a years ago I got in a little something in Arizona didn't know my rights didn't know I didn't know butcher was died and I was looking at him in the casket that's how bad it was so I got into that situation but this one you know I had I was just standing there watching you know what was going down I thought it was a long time to be you know over there over minutes and then when the three cops was standing I'm like something's got be up so when I got over there and was listening to everything it just became a you know she was Cops playing telling him let me teach you something and this and that and then she said double the speed limit and me being a Florida Florida boy I said wait a minute I said double and I'm talking to the other cop then I'm like he'd be going to jail wouldn't he we don't we don't discuss that in Florida because it turns goes from a TR traffic violation to a traffic misdem and you can be arrested if you go plus 30 in Florida and I think that's what she was trying to say you know scaring him like two more miles an hour you'd have been going double and going to jail and not you know having this discussion I think that's what she was trying to say but I thought it was egregious to say he was going double 35 and that would be 70 and he wasn't going simply to Simply call them out and just be articulate that was enough to push them over the edge right so immediately as soon as you did that they're talking we're going you want to go to jail day you want to go to jail I'm like what like wait a minute Josh I was badf footed at the time I went he took me to jail without shoes on I baded as I was standing I'm like go to jail I'm bad footed I definitely you know and I haven't done anything what what exactly have I done other than look at the ticket and see it's 63 over 35 and not 70 I mean come on I I I I've watched your videos a thousand times and I was like how does that happen how does a cop do no investigation does no deescalation just grab somebody and then I found out found you said to them you brought up a great Point Warren you said obstruction is a physical act right my my filming my first amendment is not a crime it's not obstruction nor is my voice that's all I was doing I didn't get my body cam snatched my body cam out before I can even turn it on so let me understand you were actually doing a a ride for charity the re whole reason you were out there is you were doing a charity thing we started the rally down in Miami it was a rally with some of my guys that do Gold Rush all over the country they do Texas rallies New York rallies we always did in ride and we donate the money to chity that's that's a big thing with my man Wayne and my crew that I got with way back in 2012 I've been doing this for 12 years with these guys so we always get together we have a great time we just ran into the wrong County I guess cuz you know there was nine cops up there for a speeding ticket and I looked up a little research the most deadliest thing that you know citizens had to encounter with the police was because of traffic stops and now you see why because it's obvious you don't know the law I mean no they didn't know I'm doing no more but asking I know more than ask my public servant to be correct in what she was enunciating to the crowd that was it that was it not aot just say he was going 63 I'm going 6 you going 63 sir he your ticket I'm out of here unbelievable no not a lot to ask you know you're paying their salary right and you know they didn't know who you were at the time no no clue why do you think that nine police responded the way they did when they saw you I you know what it's a little small town and there's no action in it and you know when I read the police report it said an excessive amount of high-end luxury costs what number is that Josh what number could that be what number is a is an excessive amount of highing luxury cars I I well I guess my question is is when didn't having any number of luxury cars when did that start being considered reasonable articulable suspicion that a crime's taken a foot what or or city ordinance or anything I that's what I was thinking and then the amount of you think it had to do with the do you think it had to do with the color of the skin of the people driving those cars no it had to be the color of skin of the person that was correcting the police officer that's exactly what this was cuz he he said the universal thing that I've heard my whole life you want to go to jail to the black guy like what do you mean do I want to go to jail I'm standing here talking you about a ticket that you've written as a public servant you you shouldn't have any problem with discussing what you've done shouldn't there's no investigation you shot the ticket with you with your radar gun you have the speed right the ticket is over now they ultimately did find out just exactly who they were dealing with number 99 uh obviously they got real scared at that point how did things change Warren once you went from unidentified black male to identified celebrity I think they just stalled the wheels and went uh what do we do now and but for some reason they thought just because they in Oka County they could charge me and just keep on going I mean the sheriff never stopped it the sergeant didn't stop it the lieutenant wouldn't stop it they wouldn't even talk to me they wouldn't even come see me at the scene or at the jail so I just had to like a bad cold I had to just let it run his course and so they released me and they released me on a $750 cash Bond it just they just kept compounding it for no reason I hadn't done anything I was like can you articulate a crime can you tell me why am I being detained he says none of this then throws me in the back of the car I half refus because I'm like I'm not getting in this car because I'm not going to jail so my feet was still out you know I'm like come on just give me a supervisor man it's obvious you don't know your job but I didn't know he was a field training officer at the time now I do I mean it just it compounded stuff that shouldn't have never went I mean you had no reason reason particular suspicion that I had committed a crime I was about to commit a crime or had just finished committing a crime now you question never you're the most professional person there you deescalate you tried to take control of the situation you spent 13 years at being the very best in the world at putting people on their asses if you wanted to give those cops a hard time and you wanted to obstruct number 99 would have been able to obstruct trust me I could have tow a whole gas station up with those damn people and they would have had a chance but why would hav done anything that was no reason to so that's why we're here man cuz somebody don't know their oath to the Constitution and haven't even thought about it doesn't even know anything about the law and they put a field training questioning a cop's Authority have you even have you even point out that something they said might be just even a little off of fact base you have questioned their procedure Authority w wow well I guess that's why I was arrested in less than 30 seconds hands on cuffs the whole night I'm like you can detain me I'm standing here well I looked at the Playbook okay and I saw that the defense was here I saw Warren was here I saw Warren assess the defense he comes around the tackle he goes in Scoops for the sack and then comes out with a lawsuit victory you gonna Sue these guys uh I think I'm GNA have to have some accountability and transparency with this whole thing yes I I I got to I got to because when I when I went to talk to the upper echelon it got even worse so yeah definitely we got did now the sh your phone call with the sheriff is actually in this video that we're featuring um now a lot of other now Folks at home just so you know be bones is in this video okay it's it's his cell phone footage with a little bit of the phone call and you're probably gonna say Warren um you know why you doing this to me again because we all watch your games and we're like Warren's going to happen to anybody when I talk to Warren I'm talking every single records request every single phone call recorded this guy has literally done every single piece of work that he could have done we want to make what happened to him available um because I think the bigger concern is if could happen to him um what about the other people because he started as unidentified black male and then ended up as identified celebrity male right what about all the people that don't have Warren's social status that don't have Warren's financial status um they that's not enough to save them and it could still be happening and he doesn't need to be doing this he doesn't need to stop his car and get out and take a for all intents and purposes he stopped one charitable organization to help with another when he was doing this he doesn't need to be doing this he's doing it for a reason he's doing it because he's a good guy and he's doing it because he cares now my question for you is dude you're Verbal Judo you're like Daniel Son with that t you got a black belt and tongue Foo how did you get so good at being able to understand all these laws and like where did you start really learning all this stuff years to to really perfect and hone your craft right like I tell my young men that I work with now I don't fear a man that practice a thousand kicks I fear a man that practice one kick thousand times always learning something in this game you you've never you know locked it down to where you know you're Master at it to you know well you can't get to a Master where you can teach it but there's other things about it that you know just it's a work in progress you never have it you just got to keep going keep grinding but you so you've been honing perfect and you've been continuing to work on these skills over the course of years now police officers go through six weeks of training to behave like they behaved in this video now I'm not a scientist I don't have a PhD I'm not a mental health worker but I'm looking at a guy that could hurt somebody without trying if he wanted to he didn't and then I'm looking at people that have no education that could hurt people and they wanted to and they did I it it makes no sense when you watch it it makes no sense you're like what did he do that's the first thing I you know I turn to a friend of mine he's like what did you do I said that's what I wanted to know that's have you learned now what you did do do you now understand what you did because you did two things I can tell you but do you know what you did I know I know the perceived Authority and I knew my rights so I think that's the two scariest thing for a cop is a black man know right he got me up on one there's three so there perceived Authority you were educated and you knew your rights and three you were born a very different skin tone yes I me a very distinct skin tone a very is hey you know Big D and you have the ability to command a room you always have that's why when you would walk into Buck Stadium um the entire crowd one of the only times in the NFL where the crowd would be on their feet and then they'd be silent they'd be waiting for you to kick your helmet up in the air they'd be hanging on everything that you do because you don't just demand respect you command respect and now you've been disrespected in one of the most insane ways and disgusting ways possible how has that affected you personally you know what the thing about it was it really bothered me that the sheriff would actually call my phone and you know start with you know I'm at my daughter's wedding and I didn't get a chance you know let me look into this cuz I'm not like that my officers aren't like that I didn't even ask him what he means by like that but but we both know you're not like that your officers not like that okay so then we go two days and then we find out you and your officer is exactly like that and you have no interest in apologizing to me or saying you know my officer was dead wrong what he did T you1 no deescalation no investigation no crime he did none of that he just kept telling me I was wrong even on the side of the road if my officer is wrong that is not the time you have a time in place and manner for your first amendment what so when they're right Warren you don't question them when they're wrong you don't question them when is it acceptable to question a police officer then in okobe County I would say never at no cuz at no point even with all the body care footage all everything in this you know you dead wrong I mean come on stop you w't even say you know what we apologize we are dead wrong he's stuck on this you got a time place and manner to use your first amendment really is that what James Madison and the crew said wow now as jovial as you are um you know this affected you it did it affected you I sleep for a week I didn't sleep for a week I did not sleep for a week I didn't sleep for a week and then for another week I kept tossing and turning because I'm like how how do I get this because I hadn't I didn't have any body footage camera I didn't have I didn't have the one behind me that was a friend of mine that was with us in the charity that took that I they snatched my body cam before I could even get to any kind of recording so I'm wondering how does this play you know what I'm saying cuz you don't get a second chance for a public opinion once something is gone and it's running you you that that's what I was most You' you've experienced that you've you've been at the center of a Witch Hunt and and they per persecuted you and when finally the truth came out that that you were right and righteous then all of a sudden everyone's team sap again you know that that's how people work and and that's what these cops ultimately are looking to do they're looking to control the Nar narrative unfortunately as many people have figured out whether it's been on or off the field you just don't control this The Narrative with 99 you don't it it's it's honest it's to the point and if you don't survive you don't survive and if there's and if someone looks like an [ __ ] it's probably because they're an [ __ ] I mean I think we're at a position now where you know they can't even apologize to you I mean the prosecution says cops you're wrong Warren says Hey cops you're wrong the hundreds of thousands of people that are going to see this video are GNA say hey cops you're wrong and then they're GNA say the same thing they said to you it's not the time or place to tell us we're wrong we'll decide when you can tell us we're wrong which will be never so please lose our number oh yeah oh yeah that that the number he called me from he's blocked me now the sheriff he blocked blocked my number you called me you called me and now you're blocking the phone number to the public servant that I'm trying to redress my grievances with my First Amendment right you know you've had a long career you've had an illustrious career um and you've had a a hard go at things you know like both on and off the field and you've always come out on the other side with that Warren Sap smile right like that kind of like Hey listen B how you do it life life life is a bee and then you die so let's enjoy it at some point let's enjoy it at some point so that's that's always been M my grandma said tomorrow's not promised to you so I woke up this morning now it's on me I I I I I got to put a smile on my face and go to work I be whatever I'm doing I gotta do it because that's the way I've always been taught to attack the day or enjoy the day because it might be your last one and now you have the privilege actually these young people have the privilege where you're coaching at the University of Colorado Boulder as a football coach with with Deion Sanders um how do you take something like this and work it into your coaching method you don't what if you do teach him that rut that's that's the one thing I will do cause I was a 29 year old man who didn't know his 30 something year old man who didn't know his that that that's bad in a country that you wake up the morning you're born with those rights that should be something that that's a badge of honor that's why I love you and your boys when you do we the people because you you do represent we the people and I that's the one thing I will teach my young man other than how to attack a quarterback and destroy an offense I will teach them that that F them five Ms of the first amendments and the Bill of Rights because those are the one things that was never written for me and those kids that I'm teaching most of them but th is written and it is law we're going to utilize them because this is our country too the way that you carry yourself and this uncanny ability to make people feel like the next day that could be better than today that is what separates you and like my football coach used to tell me right after I got tackled by someone like you that's what separates the men from the boys you know thank you good thank you so I I appreciate it um even my kid she's been talking as soon as she heard got on the bench press the other day and my shoulder came out messing with those kids I think it would hurt me more than it would hurt you no Jos the actual impact you what six foot 290 about that Year Lombardi winner seven times Pro Bowl number one draft pick um Super Bowl champion civil rights champion and a human Champion um I mean listen Maybe pull your kids aside uh have them watch Warren's highlight reel it's been 20 years since I've been watching him he hasn't switched up and uh I think we could all learn a lot from someone like him so Warren I want to thank you for taking the
