hey everybody it's step from the hot Moon podcast so Steph Curry signs a one-year $62 million extension I mean when he signed this I was surpris but at the same time I mean it's 6 $62 million right who's going to say no to that okay we know how beloved Steph Curry is in Golden State and all right this is going to take him to 39 okay and we saw how great he was in the Olympics and and and it was just kind of like you know should Steph Curry ask for a trade and and it's not as easy or easier said than done considering that if the Golden State Warriors did trade Steph Curry most likely they're not going to get a lot back for him okay because if they want if Steph Curry requested a trade I mean they're going to do right by him right I mean he's done a lot for them so if he wanted to go somewhere where he can compete for a championship wherever they trade him to the team that's going to trade with them is not going to give up all their assets or if they trade Steph Curry somewhere else where he can make a lot of money uh and the Warriors can acquire a lot of assets back um then he'll be in the same spot you know on a non-competing uh Team for a title so I guess he just decides to stay put and for like when you look at their roster they don't have Klay Thomson obviously and I mean they got buddy Hill they got K Anderson now I mean is this going to be enough to really compete right so I know like before the Olympics started Steph Curry talked about like he want to be a warrior but you know things could change x y and z um and and I get all that right um I understand that you know but it seemed like he maybe he felt he was he was stuck I I don't know I don't know it you know look great players like him of his caliber they they it's okay we've seen them go on to a different team okay I mean I don't know what more he can give the Warriors I don't know what else he can do U for them okay they they try to get marke in from Utah that that didn't go through if that would have made a big difference but it would have probably helped a little bit okay so what is curry gonna do at the end of the 20 27 season at the age of 39 right I maybe I was assuming he'll still be a really good player um you know Curry's game doesn't require too much physicality outside of him running around screens and everything like that um but for him I mean he didn't really seem that happy and with Draymond Green being there you can't trust him when he's going to blow his head up be a hote head cause locker room friction turmoil right you know you saw him crying this past season where Draymond got kicked out the game you know I mean it was just so so much that went on and does curry curry now has signed up for that through the 2027 season you know um this is going to be interesting you know and I mean look even him signed his extension doesn't mean that he still can't ask for a trade maybe he want to lock up some money who knows at this point or maybe he truly wants to retire going to State Warrior you know but why wait till age 39 as opposed to right now at age 36 ask for the trade you know U because I mean look the Warriors are not projected to to win a championship they and they very well may miss the playoffs again now could the season be something totally different and and and Curry is MVP caliber and everybody is is doing their role and and they're competitive and they're in the playoffs and you know so that that's a possibility okay Curry is that good um but you know this this is going to be the first time where we actually see Steph Curry truly lead the team by himself right I know we got Draymond buddy Hill and some young players Moody kaminga you know but Curry is is is the quintessential leader of this team you know and however this season goes and I know people like Curry and he's a nice guy but it's going to fall on him if they don't make the playoffs and and have some type of significant run right and people will question like you know we know how good he is as an individual talent but how good is he as a leader leading the team you know so very interesting man y'all let me know what y'all think about Curry science extension man thanks for watching please like subscribe I'm out
