The Miami Dolphins make Waiver Claim & Practice Squad Additions

and we are back people what is up how y'all doing so we got some people in here already uh Dolphins you know make it made a waiver claim today cut some people you know people the usual Dolphins Twitter going a little crazy I think a little overreaction it's a little too early uh and I'll get into that why I think that and also we've made some practice squad editions some interesting ones uh Chris career had press conference we'll go over some of the things that he said um but overall you know I'm there are some things that I liked uh kind of reading through what some you guys are saying uh first thing first we claimed Grant deos uh from the Packers Charlotte receiver second-year guy he was a seventh round pick and I actually I'm going to do a film break down on him tomorrow so definitely check that out I'll go into way more detail then but I actually kind of like the move I think he actually brings some value right away to the team specifically on special teams and as a blocker I feel like he's more of a river cracraft uh replacement because he gives you those types of reps also the Packers ran a similar system to us uh plus he's also a decent developmental guy like he's got good movement skills bigger body still needs to work on like his release packages some route running stuff but uh bring something different to the team and also just special teams guy blocker I kind of like that move now for the Jack Driscoll thing because I know people are kind of freaking out over that and like the whole o line conversation which I've talked about it Dolphins just don't value interior o line the teams that run the system don't look at the ners for example ners are very successful every year and they also do the same things as us uh but I will say with the Driscoll situation I wouldn't be surprised since he's a vested veteran if he's back on the team whether that's the main roster or the practice squad and like a couple of days like that's the same thing that's going to happen with Ferguson like Ferguson is going to be is going to be back like like uh and the reason that's going to happen is cuz somebody's going to get put on uh IR I'm guessing like one of the guys that Mis practice I'm guessing they're going to put on IR those guys can then return now once cuz now the rosters are set they can return they're not done for the season and then you start putting your guys back on the roster uh potentially so I wouldn't be surprised if Driscoll's back on the team so I wouldn't freak out over that one just yet uh EAS e is on the practice squad I believe that's like what's been reported uh Tim Bole I got nothing to say about Tim Bo honestly Tim Bole is probably the move today I'm like I whatever like I never cared about the third QB anyways but they like it's pointless like I guess the only positive to say is he has simil uh familiarity within the system other than that I I could not care less to be honest um but yeah let's see yeah I do think like like the debose move I think makes sense they needed a receiver they still have euka on the practice squad which is interesting so they he still around they also signed D Wayne ESD to the practice squad which I'm a big fan of I'm was a big fan of ESD coming out of college uh he's definitely a smaller Speed Demon type fits within that type of system just never quite worked out in Seattle he's also a good like punt returner kick returner if he ever like has to get elevated he can do some returner stuff uh I I like taking like I don't think it's like guaranteed going to work out or anything but I like Taking Chances on like these younger guys they're still pretty young they were pretty high draft picks high potential type moves getting those on the practice squad I think is pretty good um so I like having ESD and euk on the practice squad I think there's potential there and I also like the de deos move so like receiver moves overall I think we're very understanding uh and it looks like the prct squad so far is Tim Bole whatever I don't care Jordan colar udfa safety I think he showed some promise in the preseason I'm surprised they went colar over Mark Perry but maybe Perry wants to go somewhere else the receivers I just talked about esri and Asuka Jonathan Harris I like getting Harris on the practice squad I think they value his versatility and that's why they went more in this direction instead of like Isaiah Mack plus they brought in naon Jones from Arizona who's a big body nose and he's kind of more in the vein of playing the same position as Isaiah Mack so I think they wanted two different types of defensive tackles they brought back dquan Jackson who only played in the third preseason game I don't know why they brought him in over Curtis Bolan maybe Curtis bow wanted to go somewhere else but if that's the case I'm a little confused uh with that that one uh one of the biggest ones Nick Needum back I know people are a little upset about Needum going but they got a very good veteran on the practice squad and he can easily slide and if any of the DBS get hurt you know you can r on him they also got hitting ruchie back which I think is a nice I was talking about that in my video yesterday I like him as a as a a practice sad guy yeah I do think D guys I know the Drisco cut is crazy I would have cut cot personally I agree but I do think there is a chance Driscoll comes back like it could be the same thing as a vergus Ferguson type thing cuz I don't think Driscoll has to go through waivers I'm pretty sure he's a vested veteran and with ir moves like there's still moves that have to be made cuz you have to have a Long Snapper on the roster so they're at least going to put one person on IR or something or maybe try to cut them later on uh but I think they're going to be trying to bring him back in some type of uh you know some type of way yeah well if they made it like if they told Driscoll like Hey we're going to bring you back Driscoll doesn't have to go anywhere cuz he doesn't he does he's not going to get claimed cuz I'm pretty sure he's a vested veteran so it doesn't mean he goes through waivers I believe let's go get Jaylen Coker I would be down for Jaylen Coker but we just signed a bunch of receivers today so I'm not sure uh that's going to happen I think Coker if he was smart he' probably go elsewhere because I don't know if he's the best fit for our scheme but I did like him coming out of college El do we cut no we only uh we only cut Driscoll the other players are on the practice squad the players I just talked about that we added they're all practice squad players currently so and we have 1 2 3 4 five 6 7 eight we have nine current practice squad players so we can still add you know up to 16 and then technically 17 with the international program so I'll be interesting to apparently Jason matri who I wanted to bring back to the practice squad is working out with the Giants that's probably a smart move on his part honestly like I know we do a good job with DBS but we have a lot of guys that play that spot it's probably a smarter move for him to go somewhere else to get a chance um but I would love to bring it back yeah Wadd was still in non- contct I'm not super worried about that honestly I think they're just playing it safe they even said today like obj wanted to play but they decided it's a smarter move like I think to kind of shut obj down just to keep him healthy and uh you know the waivers cleared at uh noon Scotty I believe I think it was a noon Eastern thing but everyone said like it's it's like I'm pretty sure we have auko back that's at least what they've been like all the reporters are saying I guess it's probably not like 100% but they're all saying uh let's this is what Barry said Barry Jackson said Dolphins known practice gu guys Eric ukama Nick NM Hayden Ruchi dcoin Jackson Jonathan Harris Jordan colar Tim Bole naan Jones and then Dwayne Eskridge cuz he practiced today apparently so and we still have plenty more people to add uh I would still like to bring like Isaiah Johnson back uh I mean I'm still be like Curtis bow and he names that we kind of cut yesterday um but let's see yeah but I do like the moves that we made I'm going to do a grant deos video Tomorrow film breakdown so definitely check that out I kind of like the move he actually has some intriguing traits to work with and I do think like even though I don't think he'll make an impact right away as like a like receiver catching the ball I think he'll make an impact right away on special teams and blocking which I think kind of goes underrated he just seem seems like a a fit uh I've heard the both claim an esn't signed to anyone else uh like new to the practice squad I don't think we've signed anyone new other than Tim Bole which you didn't mention but I that's pretty much a a nonf factor Mac MRI ulton Johnson yeah we'll see how it plays out nothing those guys have not been I don't think they've been I haven't seen them like go anywhere else yet so it's still up in the air and we still have many spots on the practice squad so we'll see how it plays out just kind of scrolling through some Twitter see if anything's updated oh but yeah as I said I think like people are you know freaking out over the o line freaking out over Driscoll I would wait a little bit to see what they do cuz Driscoll could easily be back on the team like this is just how the roster gymnastics work at this point in the year oh yeah we did lose gamore that's one I didn't mention gallamore signed with the Rams right uh let me I pretty sure I saw it earlier uh um but yeah he signed with the Rams also here's some like a quick quick little Grant deos type thing Grant deos right here 86 just watch him receiver he inserts in between the line here and gets involved as a blocker this is kind of the stuff that the Packers did and this is stuff that the like in between this insert up and he this is stuff that the Rams do a lot I wonder if the Dolphins are going to start running some of this insert stuff with receivers with like deos out there cuz he just brings like a different kind of physical presence he's a pretty solid size and I think there's some potential there cuz he's got good catch radius he moves pretty well he just needs to work on his release and stuff but I do like what deos brings and Packers fans seemed very disappointed that he left plus there's some good special teams working I'll break that down more tomorrow in uh the film breakdown I also might do an ESD video tomorrow that will be that will be coming pretty soon uh we have not resigned Ferguson yet but I mean that's obviously going to happen I'm not even like I I'd be pretty surprised I mean at the end of the day we're going to get a we we need a Long Snapper um we got theow in here lost yeah g gallamore was one I'm like I wish we would have brought him back but I do feel like the Dolphins just value different things uh they want obviously big time pass rushers out of their starter guys but I think out of the depth guys guys that don't see a ton of snaps they just want guys who can come in and take on double teams and I don't think I feel like DeShaun Han and Brandon pey can do that better than gamore did yeah this was something I think he was very Hit or Miss versus press coverage which uh there's a reason you know that's kind of the reason you see guys like deos go away but I think you get him in uh because of his blocking which the dolphins really value blocking at receivers he would he'll become your best blocker with Craycraft and cray Craft's out so he kind of I think is going to do the river stuff like he'll be involved I think he can also he's pretty fast so he can run like clear out routes he can be involved go out there do multiple different types of blocking he's it's not like he can just like block Corners out on the outside like he can get involved I've seen him get bodies on linebackers out in space in the interior literally be involved as like a guy attached to his line of scrimmage do some impressive things there and he's a pretty good special teams players yeah the nose tackle I still need to watch uh I've heard good things I remember him a little bit coming out of college but if he is a big body that can take on double teams that's kind of something the dolphins really need at the nose tackle position just like more but like if you look at the Ravens the biggest thing with their defense was they had just like Pierce just take off space and the Dolphins need that to stop the run well because our linebackers are very good in space if they are kept clean which I think that's why they want bigger body noses they're kept clean I think they'll do a very good job versus the run but sometimes you know they can get swallowed up if offensive lineman gets hands on them so I think that's like a good thing apparently also uh Chris Greer said that multiple teams tried to uh inquire Ethan boner like they multiple teams called out Ethan Bonner which doesn't surprise me I feel like teams looked at our Corner Room and thought like like damn we can try to get one of these young corners and they decided to go after boner which I thought was interesting that was like the guy they went after uh makes me feel pretty good about boner in his development he definitely is a guy I think will be definitely outplay being undrafted for sure yeah that's a naquan Jones I'm excited to watch his film I haven't watched his film yet I've watched deos and I'm going to get to esene and then to J and I will do film breakdowns on all of them for sure yeah like seeing NM get brought back that's a big one nm's probably the name on the practice squad I think out of the names on the practice squad I think NM is probably the one who I think will 100% get back on the roster because DB injuries are just inevit inevitable you know and I think he'll get called back up right away whenever that happens I could also see guys like Jonathan Harris Jo Nan Jones getting called up in the D tackle room that injuries happen there uh I could see asuk Kama getting called back up I also think uh they'll get elevated too like I think early in the season I think this is why you have multiple receivers in the practice squad since you only have five receivers I wouldn't be surprised if we Elevate guys like ezuka because Duos is on the main roster but he's going to have to learn the Playbook while obj and Craig craft are out early in the season I think they're going to try to elevate ESD Asuka depending on the game you know because you only get three elevations so they have to kind of be smart with it but I think they're going to try to elevate them uh and get them on the main main roster for the first few games so they have more receivers and stuff like that ukama yeah I think the injury stuff is the biggest thing with ukama like I I would I do have more faith in euk Kama than Preston Williams because you're using the Preston Williams thing I think euk is like a good fit for this gamee and he has like just a skill set that's very rare in the NFL for a receiver like his his contact balance and play strength is like really really good and I do think if he stays healthy he actually has a chance of being a decent player but I do agree like it he just he's doesn't hasn't had really any opportunities I still think gamore is dead cap he was cut not waved I'm not sure how it works Scotty I've seen I've seen just uh multiple I've seen both sides of that I seen someone say it wouldn't count someone would say it would count so I'm not quite sure um yeah I'm excited about the boner thing yeah Isaiah Johnson I would say is the next guy I would like to see brought back to the practice squad like for sure hopefully I wouldn't be surprised if he goes elsewhere just like thinking he has a better chance or something you know but I would love to see him back I'm just kind of strolling up see what you guys were saying Brooks yeah I wonder what's up with Chris Brooks I'm not sure about this but since Chris Brooks was wave injured wave does that mean he's out for season now and he just reverts to our IR like is that how that works cuz I know that's how it's worked with some players in in the past uh I just don't have a 100% confirmation on that yet but I either way like you could get him back but it might just be what about Paris Campbell I haven't seen Paris Campbell sign anywhere yet at least I know he got cut yeah I'm excited about DS GD though I was a big DS GD fan coming out of college I'm disappointed he didn't work out I remember him being a very good runner on like slant 4-3 guy big hitter good special teams like uh like kick return guy and he I know he had that punt return I think the preseason the other day so he's someone I will be intrigued to watch again and I do feel like uh he's the type of player I think you should be taking chances on let's see anything I know a lot of people like join ESD um yeah yeah that's that's tough but I think they uh I'd have to see the contract to see how it works but yeah need to go at Hunter Run Hunter rro I like Renfro as a player I just don't think he's the type of player we need we already have baros and Malik Washington like I don't think we need any more slot only type players I think there's a reason they went out like and they added ESR to the practice squad who can do some of that stuff too I think there's a reason they went after like deos to the main uh main roster because of his size physicality blocking ability special teams ability and then you also still have euka on the the practice squad uh are you surprised that NM didn't join Flores in Minnesota um I don't know not necessarily I'm not really surprised but I think I wouldn't have surprise me if he went there but I'm not surprised he didn't like I think it's someone they wanted to get back I think he has he spent his entire career in Miami I don't think players are always just looking to leave you know where they've always been I think he feels like he can also get still bit get playing time he's comfortable here plus I don't know what his relationship was like with uh with Flores you know because I know Flores had his relationships were pretty hit or miss with some of the Players let's see and yeah he uh Chris G had this to say about naon Jones He said who was with Arizona practice squad knows tackle he said Weaver Austin Clark are very excited so I'm excited I haven't really watched him out yet and then they talked about the old line he he did the same thing where he said like the o line I'm not too you know you guys are more worried about it than I am type thing which I mean is definitely true they they're definitely less worried about it and there's a reason for that and I know people say like the O Line's the reason we fell apart I think the reason they fell apart was for more reasons the the offensive line I've talked about it I would love to had one more interior guy to help on the interior that's like pretty good that's clearly not Direction they went they felt like they should add players like Johnny Smith obj they get help in those areas so like instead of you know they still going to get rid of the ball quickly but now they have more options to be open in those situations where maybe Tyreek is not open uh they have more guys that can demand more attention so Tyreek and Wadd are not just getting you know doubled every single time in obvious passing situations that's the direction they went to to to make it and it makes sense for the offense it's what they've done since McDaniel's been here if you go look at all the Shanahan systems it's exactly what they've always done uh so I'm excited to see how it plays out uh and I do think I do feel there's a decent CH chance Driscoll comes back I don't think it's a guarantee because I'm not in the rooms obviously but just like kind of reading it I think it could be similar to the Ferguson situation I'm trying to see there was a couple people that didn't practice today right I forget who it was but I know I think Patrick Morris didn't practice I don't think Bonito Jones practiced I don't think Walker Anthony Walker practiced I saw the Tweet earlier I don't know who said it but there was like some people who weren't seen at practice I wonder if some of those guys go to ir and then they come back later cuz this is how just how usually roster construction works like you have to make the roster like you can only designate two at the beginning but now once you've you your rosters are set now you can put people on ir and then you can designate I think up to like eight or 10 that can return now so yeah we did sign Tim Bo we did sign Tim Bole which uh probably my least favorite move of the day the one I just like literally don't care about but it's a it's a it's a practice squad third string QB I feel like it's probably the least important one anyways any picked up Michael Thomas yet I don't believe so what do you think about Wyatt Davis from Cleveland I haven't watched Wyatt Davis in a while so I'm not sure how he's been playing but if they signed him I'd watch his film and have to think about it have to see no he picked up savan ammed yeah I'm pretty sure he's still hurt too so makes sense uh yeah this is so what do you think I I talked about this obviously a little bit I think I would have let cotton go over Driscoll I do think cotton looked decent like decent okay in the preseason like he looked better than expected but still I feel like Driscoll looked better um I wonder if they just had like a deal with Driscoll to come back that's why I think I'm not overreact that's why I'm like still waiting to see and don't have like like firm opinions yet because I think uh he could easily just be back but I would have done that with cotton personally over Driscoll uh I wonder if I just think Khan has more familiarity cuz he played in this geme last year even though I think Drisco is a better fit because of his athleticism I and maybe they wanted someone who was a little more physical and they already felt like they had some guys that were kind of like Driscoll on The rosters but who knows well Buffalo cut Mike White right after we play them it's possible but he he's on their practice squad right I think if he was on their main roster he would probably get cut um but he actually might be better than their backups I don't remember who their backups are cuz they seem pretty excited about getting a quarterback the Bills fans even though he's bad rer the D tackle the Browns cut uh no I'm pretty sure I'm pretty sure he's been very bad uh I don't know how to pronounce his name but I know who you're talking about and like Browns fans were like very happy to see him go from my understanding if they signed him I would had to check out his film but yeah it's a I think that's like the the company I think it's yeah I think it's a dog but yeah I think that's like the main news excited to do the film breakdowns I've gotten Clips on deau so I've watched deau play so I have like a pretty good idea about deos out of the people we picked up I watched a lot of ESD in college so I kind of know the player ESD is everyone else that we like naquin Jones I haven't watched yet so I'm excited to get to his film um hey thanks darl I appreciate that uh I'm I'm glad to see I think I like bringing ezuka Jonathan Harris Nick and Hayden Ruchi back I think Co bear is interesting I'm going to go back and watch kar's preseason film and I might do a film on him a film break on him eventually because I didn't ever did one um I remember him making some plays but I never really focused on him too much yeah I think uh I've already seen some people like giving up on the season uh but like if you look at the ners who are built very similarly to us they've got they go to this they make it very far every single year so it's like I feel like you can win with what we have I think you just sometimes it's it's only one team can win the Super Bowl you got to get a little bit lucky too dolphins have been decimated with injuries yeah Ruchi uh there it's people have listed that Ruchi is back like he was practicing no coar made the practice squad kar's on the practice squad 12 and 5 I think 12 and 5 is very likely like a decent chance I would say around 12 and 5 maybe 11 um at what point do we look at all of our strength and condition coaches in regard endless stream of injury is much tougher than used to be whatever is on our team see I see a lot of people talking about this and I really just don't know like I truly don't know like I don't know if the injuries are on this strength and in coach you know it's really tough to say like cuz I guess it could be sometimes it could also just be an unfortunate type of thing um I really have no idea Patrick no he didn't oh you're talking about the co yeah Co Bear's on the practice squad or that he was at practice today I don't it hasn't been officially confirmed but like that's what the like beat reporters are saying that he's on the practice but it hasn't been like confirmed by the Dolphins yet um think that's a lot of the stuff was interesting that teams were looking after boner hopefully but I I'm glad we didn't trade boner unless some team offered something like kind of surprising I'm like because I feel like teams were not offering anything decent you know just like lower end picks because I think Bonner actually can be a player he also said Chris said that the Green Bay staff soak very highly on grantab BOS connected the relationship between McDaniel and the guys on that that staff St his hands physicality size toughness and Route running were traits that they liked I would agree with all of that except probably the route Running part he did show some flashes flashes of Route running but overall his route running needs needs to be cleaned up Odo Beckham did not want to start the season on pup it was a team decision to protect him long term um yeah MRI is working out for the Giants thanks for the Andre myid yeah I've been uh Andrew Meer is someone I've been keeping an eye on since the UTEP stuff like obviously I watch all the undrafted guys right after the draft and I would say he was one of the guys that I thought had a chance of making it like I think there was a DEC like storm duck Andrew Meer were definitely guys like pegged as people making it there's also a few others that I think had a chance that uh at least showed out to at least prove they belong in the league but won't be with the dolphins or they're on the practice squad oh yeah I like Myers's athleticism definitely check out my film breakdown on him I feel like uh uh that one felt pretty good I felt pretty comfortable making that that video like understanding exactly why he made the team and the Dolphins didn't feel the need to you know cut him because they don't want to risk losing a center receiver Dwayne es not high him at all I never to his draft Ty yeah but that's why you take that's why you take a chance on these players like they're still young he still was a high draft pick and you try to get him he's just on your practice squad like he's not added to your main roster like I love taking that chance on a guy like that the practice squad [Music] he I mean yeah that's true our our facilities they all rank at the top so like that's why I just don't really I never really give an opinion on that type of stuff cuz like that stuff's just all pure speculation you know so hopefully we can just turn the luck around and stay healthy how do you feel about the outside line I think if the talk yeah yeah I think if I feel like the the the outside lineer room might struggle early on but I think once it's fully healthy and like Phillips gets back into a group and chub comes back and at least just plays a little snaps I feel much better about that group I actually think it' be I think healthy it's one of the stronger groups because I think chop will bring a lot as a pass rusher specifically I think chimra can do give you some snaps but not like a ton early on but he can play the run if you needed I think agba is a consistent veteran I think Phillips will you know eventually get to what he needs to be but I do agree like I I don't really have any strong feelings about Quinn Bell he didn't show much in the preseason and I just have no fil I really just have no film to go off on him other than the little preseason games he played so uh I don't really have anything to say about Quin Bell to be honest yeah the Bose yeah Trent sherfield is not a bad uh comparison oh I know I mean I know they're down on Dwayne es he definitely hasn't lived up to the draft height but like you got it like he just like he definitely can at least I think he can be a decent returner like obviously I don't think he'd come in and be a starters returner but he's on your prce squad so if someone went down I think you can Elevate him as a returner he's still very athletic he runs a 4-3 dolphins are just seeing that they can develop him I'm not saying it's like some guaranteed but there's a reason he's got cut and he's on the practice squad but for me for a receiver out there it's not a bad one to to add at especially when you already added toose and you have ezuka is going to shock some folks yeah can say h we a have a great time in the playoffs we need home field advantage I agree definitely home field advantage is important um try to see what else did I have here some other people signing yeah nothing I don't think anything new with the dolphins yet no other other practice squad stuff so we're still waiting to see who else fills out the practice squad I wonder if they're going to try to bring back some of the other names like Isaiah Johnson or maybe Isaiah Johnson's looking to go elsewhere who knows uh or we bring in Ed new names no nothing on Matthew Jones yet either who getting paid to be the best player on the field to should be able to elevate his game and others are we are overpaid uh I feel pretty confident about TOA being even better than last year so I feel I mean to me to is the one of the least of our problems going into this season like at the he would be at the bottom of my list of of problems this team will have I wonder if we match Vikings offers on Van GLE because him on the squad would be the top tier yeah I don't know I don't know the vanle story I'm pretty sure we were just it was they kind of just moved on is D tackle Jonathan Harris the one we got for no Jonathan Harris has been here uh all all pre all training camp all preseason he's number 98 naquan Jones is the one we got from the Cardinals I would have liked to bring van gangle back but I'm just I'm I can't remember but I feel like people said we were we weren't we didn't really offer them anything we need to change the division SK I'll say this if the Dolphins were in the NFC it'd be a much easier Dolphins would if the Dolphins were in the NFC it'd be guaranteed playoffs I'll I'll be honest NFC is horrible they have like a few good teams and then it's like just really bad the AFC has like 10 to 11 teams that are all like playoff caliber NFC has like four if only we were in the other conference but who knows I'm excited to see how it plays out this year I feel like we have a decent chance I'm wondering how the rest of the roster construction is going to work cuz we do have to at least get rid of one more person whether they're but I'm imagining they're going to go to the IR because you don't cut your Long Snapper and plan to bring him back unless you're going to put someone on IR uh that you will be able to to make eligible later on and then will they also do that with one other and then bring back say a Driscoll you know I don't know you heard the opposite yeah I have no idea I honestly don't remember that was a while ago but it will be interesting I think the outside linebacker group will be interesting to see especially early on I think when it's fully healthy it's one of our strongest groups but it's not right now because you know those injuries from last year I think I feel pretty good about the defensive back group I think I feel pretty good about the off ball linebacker group if they are healthy we'll see what w UPS what's up with Walker but I like Brooks and long I think you know the biggest worry on is on the offensive line side of the ball but if they can run block I know McDaniel can do a good enough job and Tua with his skill set um MC Morris or Walker Dy possibly yeah that's what I was saying I was thinking it's either going to be like Walker Jr because you have five linebackers you kept Tindle and Riley I was thinking Anthony Walker Jr because he hasn't practiced in a long time and you already have an extra body there MCM Morris is another one because we kept five safeties he didn't practice today and we don't need him to be like you obviously wanted to keep him to protect him and you also don't need him to play the first like you know four or whatever GES this season so he could be one that goes to IR that's why I was thinking Driscoll might come back and there's also like who else like a Bonito Jones maybe but I feel like uh cuz he hasn't practiced in a while but I felt like Walker McMorris would be first just because of the rooms you play Fantasy Football yeah I love fantasy uh I had my first draft today this like I do two leagues I do one with my family I did that today which is more of just like a a like a just a fun one to have we kind of just mess around in that one I did that today uh and then I did uh I have my main one coming up the one I've been doing for many many years and I remember I used to not be actually in the beginning I wasn't that good at Fantasy like the first few years just cuz it's way different than actual football I was treating it like actual football and it's like there's it's so much more about just like opportunity and like it's not sometimes about having the best players and sometimes I took too many dolphins but in the past like five years I've gone to the I've been in the finals four out of the past five years and I've won three times I bring back Robbie chosen h no thanks I mean I wouldn't be mad about it but I I feel like we already brought in receivers that I already like more than chosen but I do agree on using that I do think they're going to use the tight ends more and the running backs more in the the system I know that the system is complicated but I also don't think Robbie really understood the system that well to be honest even when he was here did you get jayen wild actually don't think I did I know I have aan pretty sure I didn't get Wadd um yeah I'm I'm not really I don't think chosen is a good fit plus I think I think for a lot of the depth receivers they want they want guys that can just go out there block their ass off and then get to the right spot they don't even necessarily need to catch the ball like a lot of them it's about just being in the right spot and like clearing out Defenders and I think I think uh what a say can do that coming from the Packers who running very similar system to us yeah it does suck that barar retired damn I would like a big physical receiver that's what they brought in that was deos deos is a big physical receiver Asuka on the practice squad is a big physical receiver that's so they did add that theose is definitely physical and I'm pretty sure he's like 62 200 like low 200s something like that um yeah I don't think anything has happened on the timeline nothing new no more like news being posted no more practice squad signings we have a solid tight end and safety room yeah I think the tight end room and the safety room are upgrades from last year I like those rooms um will be interesting to see how it all plays out I feel pretty good about the the safety enti rooms actually I wonder they kept Tanner Connor on too Tanner Connor I was I wasn't like Tanner Conor was the one I was I felt like they probably they obviously wanted to keep Tanner Connor but I actually thought they would cut him and get him back to the practice squad because they thought they would be capable of doing that but I guess they were scared of him getting claimed also he is injured I guess Tanner Connor is another name I don't know if if he was practicing today but I know he was I think he's back though he was back in a red jersey last week so yeah he should be good now uh I wonder if he'll ever if he'll play a role this season especially with limited wide receivers on the Rost how did you on your 53 prediction I did pretty like good I had uh I think the biggest positives were I predicted storm duck and Andrew Meer making it so I got the udfas right um I had the D line room in the edge right like I had the 5D linemen that made it right I had the edge room right the five that made it um I only had the keep keeping four offall linebackers but they kept and I had Tindle who made it but I just didn't have Riley making it I think I missed on Cotton I missed on I I thought ukan would make it I was surprised they cut him had the running back room right I had the DB room mostly right I think I think I might have been one off in the DB room but I can't remember yeah I think that's a big reason I just thought they would get him to the practice squad then Elevate him that's what I just thought they were going to do a Tanner but I do like keeping Tanner around who do we lose uh technically we cut Driscoll we haven't lost him though I don't think we've lost technically anyone yet like no one got claimed and I don't know if anyone signed to the no we we lost gamore gamore is the only one we lost I forgot I did talk about that earlier yeah with that receiver I'm hoping Malik with that receiver room Tyreek and wild will obviously be your main guys but I wouldn't be surprised to see Malik get some snaps even week one like obviously they'll probably put baros in because they're comfortable with him and then they might you know Elevate ezukanma and give him snaps but I think Malik is going to see some snaps early on it might not be a ton but I'm excited about it uh how do you feel about our dline above or below average just the interior D line or like are we counting the edge group because I'll say I would say I wouldn't say below average I would say it's a little above average I I think sealer is very good I feel like in the past the Dolphins were very topheavy at dline like sealer and Wilkins was one of the best Duos in the league but after that I think they had some of the worst depth in the league now I think they went a little bit weaker at the top still pretty solid but I think they have better depth I think they they have Jonathan Harris on the practice squad who was a start like played starter snaps for the Broncos last year I think peely improved I think desan hand is serviceable and then you have Kus and Bonito Jones and sealer who I think are pretty solid so I would say it's it's a decent group I don't think it's like a standout group but I think they'll get the job done um I wouldn't be surprised if we kind of struggle versus the run early on I've talked about this just like looking at it but I think eventually they're going to get that stuff figured out the linebackers will be flowing I think the defense will just get better as the year goes on when you think Phillips is back I think Philips will be back right away I just don't think he'll be 100% right away and playing like his usual snaps why do we get rid of Driscoll um one this is my guess on it one I would have got rid of cotton by the way that's all I'm saying I think they got rid of Driscoll to bring him back I think he's a vested veteran and I think that some people are going to go on IR in the coming days and they're going to bring either Driscoll back to the practice squad or to the main roster personally cuz he doesn't have to go through waivers for at least from my understanding he doesn't have to um but if he is just gone then I guess the reason is they felt like they trusted other guys more cotton has more experience in the scheme they probably thought you know they didn't want to lose Meyer I guess um they had more trust in Liam but yeah I think he gets brought back my guess is he gets Brock back back not a guarantee though uh let me see cam is one of the I didn't see coming at all uh that didn't surprise me I brought it I the cam Smith one because he I thought it was either going to be it was going to be River for sure and then I thought it was either be cam Smith Anthony Walker MC Morris or uh Bonito Jones those were who I was thinking and I think they were just like I think they did Kim Smith also because they wanted to keep storm duck and like that made the numbers look fine at the D or the DB room uh what happened with Blake what happened uh Blake Ferguson will be brought back he's still not with the team but basically they're going to put someone on the IR here something like that and then they'll bring Blake Ferguson back within the next couple of days my guess would be that I would be shocked if Blake Ferguson actually didn't come back thought it would be Walker yeah well The Walker one is still possible to go on the IR so maybe they just weren't as maybe they're just uh maybe they felt like okay Cam Smith your injury is going to keep you out four weeks and they felt confident with that and they just maybe they weren't as comfortable they didn't know what the Walker injury was like maybe it could have been longer it could have been shorter who knows uh that been dolphin channel that if we don't win a playoff game that Mike and career would be fired definitely possible to be fired if we don't win I don't think they should fire Mike if we don't win though it depends how the season plays out but I think it' actually be kind of not the best move McMorris will be starter before the end of the season McMorris will be starting it's a bold prediction I mean personally I don't that I mean it's a hot take that's why I would bet against it because I think the odds are against him but I am a big fan of MCM Morris I think there's just too many bodies in front of him like maybe if there's injuries but I think puyer May Campbell are all guys they like a lot so I like the Duos signing he's underrated yep make I'm a fan of the D I will be getting to dubos tomorrow in that that film breakdown I'm a big fan I'm actually was a bigger fan than I thought I would be I think there's upside with him as a receiver definitely things to work on like he's not a clean receiver Prospect but he's a very good blocker very good special teams player I think he also would bring some versatility with how you use him like if you go watch the Rams offense watch how they use their receivers and how like they get involved in the The Blocking in the Run scheme the Dolphins don't really do that stuff especially on the the inside runs I think if doose can do that which he kind of showed some of that in the preseason for the Packers uh it would add some versatility to the dolphins dolphins running game because the dolphin because if you look at the Rams they do that stuff with like nakua Cooper cup they had scronic that they did it with like those are receivers that could block and they did it like on insert blocks between a tight end and a tackle like it was very impressive and I would be very intrigued to see if the Dolphins add that type of stuff uh cuz the Rams do it a lot the Packers have started doing it and we run similar offenses to them but we're more we're much more heavy outside Zone than those teams why do you think we shouldn't fire Mike we don't want to playoff game um I think this is a I think one this is a very difficult league to win in uh and I think Mike McDaniel has shown a lot as a head coach he's shown that he can win I think the players really like him I think players really want to play for him I think sometimes uh in his first season he had Skyler Thompson in a playoff game and we almost won I think the second season we were playing in the like the coldest game in NFL history and we did not show up that is obviously unfortunate uh we're also playing in the AFC where it's way harder to win a playoff game I obviously think it depends how it plays out out but I don't think he should be fired right away like I just don't think you're going to like it'd be very hard to find someone better than Mike McDaniel in my [Music] opinion if you can then sure but I just don't see [Music] it obj plus we also plus we have Tua for the next three years Tua will get worse without McDaniel they are like built for each other but that's another big reason uh yeah I agree JC I would have liked Tim Patrick as well but I think he wanted to go to the Lions which made sense for his skill set you think Wright makes an impact week one H I'm going to say he makes I think it will be like a couple weeks in when he makes an impact I think similar to like aan last year like it took him a like the third week is where he blew up like I'm not saying he's going to have a big game like that brona's game but I think it'll probably take him a few weeks he has more bodies in front of him I also like I wouldn't be surprised even if like Wilson gets carries ahead of him like early on but I do think right at some point will get his stuff McDon McDaniel is a coach needs to work on his play calling I mean he's I mean I get the whole like there's certain situations he needs to work on his play calling but we had the number one offense in the NFL so like everyone needs to work on their play calling then if McDaniel does you know like we still have the number one offense even with him needing to improve in certain areas yeah that's I I like theose as a run blocker and that's nice thing like he he also gets out there and blocks on screens he like blocks out of routes too like sometimes the guys will catch something on space and he'll just turn around and start blocking guys what role do you think Julian Hill has I think Julian Hill is going to be the biggest like Riser from like last year's offense to this year's offense I think Julian Hill will make the biggest jump up I think he's going to be our best blocking tight end I think he's going to get more involved as a receiver and I very excited to see his role because I think they're going to use him as a move tight in a lot as a blocker and I'm very excited for it yeah I just yeah I agree I just think it's a little premature with the McD like McDaniel Hot Seat stuff I feel like I would need to see how the year played out before I would ever see him on the hot seat like he's not on the hot seat to me at this point I we c MC who said will make the team but I wouldn't want him backing prior Holland I will say that May looked much better in the second and third preseason game I actually felt much more comfortable with Marcus may I probably will do a video on Marcus May cuz he's looked much better as these weeks have gone on uh but I also like I actually feel pretty good about Elijah Campbell too so um right taking mosters job sign me up I mean I'm I'm down for right taking I'm not I'm not going to say his job but like taking carries from moster not hn though um where are you hearing MCM Morris will get cut uh I'm not hearing that I'm just I was it's just I would if you're talking to me or like if you're talking to the chat um I was talking about MC Morris uh getting cuz he's hurt right now he's not practicing I was talking about MCM Morris potentially being one of the guys that goes on IR like and then designated it to return and then uh so they can bring back guys like Blake Ferguson cuz they need a Long Snapper and then also if they put someone else on they bring back Jack Driscoll that type of thing I don't think MCM Morris gets cut like they cut MCM Morris for a reason like if he if they were going to risk him to the waiver wire they would have done it you know like they're going to be trying to hide McMorris for a little while now if he if he were to get cut it would be midway through the season and then get him back on the practice squad they would try to sneak him that way so that would be down the line I I don't think he get uh right after week three right RB one mixed with aan getting 10 to 50 touches that's a little early I I don't think he'll out touch aan or moster that early to be honest unless there's injuries um yes I love Julian Hill's blocking abilities I'm a big fan I think Julian Hill Brandon peely have really impressed me with their jumps like they because I like Julian Hill last year but he looks better this year already so I'm excited to see that I think Brandon peely looks way better than he did last year those are players I'm excited to see um going forward I don't think rright is better than aan but he's a much bigger and yeah they're different players I also agree that aan I think aan is one of our best players on the team honestly like I really special special I think re could be special and I think he will be a good player in this league uh but if he is it will be a different type of player than hn uh JC I would like to see the hn right tandem by midseason yeah I would be more align with this sing probably uh I think mostard will still get work but I do think it will be smart at some point you know uh mo mo is older to start limiting his touches even if he's playing well limit his touches keep him fresh if mostard right and aan are all fresh by the end of the season that would be huge especially if we have like a home playoff run being able to build that running game going into the playoffs that would be very very big but we'll see I mean that's all down the line yeah matri is working out with the Giants I wonder if he just thinks like he has a better chance of making it with the Giants because the Dolphins have so many DBS like I wouldn't blame him if that's the case uh but I would have also loved for him to come back because I matri was one of my favorite performers in the preseason and it's a good story because he wasn't even an initial udfa signing like he had to like go through rookie camp and to even get a signing uh Javon Holland said he will definitely be available to play in the opener I mean that's good I know he hadn't been practicing so it's a good sign um don't think anything oh yeah the Dolphins are keeping oh yeah Baron Matos is the the international practice C player so but that was like what everyone expected that's what one of the beat reporters said I I'm pretty sure everyone was thinking that move was pretty much guaranteed so he doesn't take up one of the 16 roster spots he's that 17th guy the international program that's a whatever move to me I didn't really see anything out of Baron MOS some adjacent Dolphins lockers oh they got to see who like is next to each other and stuff interesting um do we know the full practice squad no not yet it's uh it's Tim Bole Jordan colar Dwayne ESD Eric Asama Jonathan Harris dcoin Jackson naquan Jones Bay MOS Nick needam Hayden Ruchi and that's 10 of 17 I believe yeah 10 of 17 uh what about what about using right at wide receiver no I think I think aan will be the running back that gets wide receiver work mostly I don't think I think Wright still needs some development as a receiver like as a receiver receiver I think he can do things out of the back field as like a check down option but I don't think I don't think he has like the route running skills that like aan has to play It's like a receiver friendly wager starts over moster week three does that include injuries throw and boner uh we'll use hn more receiver than right yeah that's what I just said um hn is doing everything still last season I love hen H's one of my favorite players on this team I do like your point on mik and that players likeing Weaver that he's a good players coach yeah I just feel like having McDaniel like players just want to play for him so unless something like big happens where like the players turn on him I don't think receiver work on the outside especially early I don't think that's his game like watching him run routes in the preseason I still think he needs work he didn't really run rout many routes in college I think he can catch the ball and be like a a checkdown option cuz obviously he's great on space but yeah are you worried about early consistency with STS playing one drive in preseason um for the most part no I think that this is since it's year three especially I would have said maybe in the past yes but I think since it's year three for most of the players you know year two year three uh I feel most players will be pretty pretty good at least like right like like last year we had some Rust actually even though we we had rust but we still put up 30 plus points and Tua had 460 yards in week safety we have two defensive tackle two receivers we have a linebacker I'd like to bring back Curtis Boling as well and I would like to add some o line because the only o line is bayed Mos maybe Driscoll goes there who knows have you done a record prediction not really I I don't really like I don't really like put too much stock in the record prediction stuff before the season especially cuz like there's so many different variables that play into it it's just just all guessing uh I think we probably finish in like that 10 to 12 to 13 type range you know that area I'd have to look through the the games to be sure though if Bo plays we are up by 50 so I'll be happy true yeah steel Chambers oh you brought up that name yesterday wonder if they bring him in uh people say they're D fans not think he showed a lot in the preseason he looked better than I expected to be honest and he has very good traits to try to develop um I really thought my was going to try and take take a try on Mei from Houston yeah the only reason I didn't see that happening is because felt like a lot of teams were trying to trade for him and you needed to trade to get him and I felt like the Dolphins were just going to go in a different direction if he was like available and like to sign then yeah I would could have seen them going after him yeah so this is the the Brooks thing so he'll either that and he sticks with the team all year or he gets cleared and then goes somewhere else our line is not good worst line of all go look at the Niners o line that o line is rough the o line for the ners is really bad and I know the ners fans actually sound just like the Dolphins fans on Twitter if you if you go look at some of the posts it's kind of funny since 1K what am I I'm getting I'm at like 9k now I hit Dominic puny rookie Right Guard actually looks pretty good but they have a rookie starting Colton mckivitz Jaylen Moore Nick SEI John Feliciano Spencer Buford and then Trent Williams who I don't think has reported to practice so they're in a very similar situation to us they have Trent Williams we have teron Armstead very good left tackles AR is more injury-prone but other than that they don't really have any household names yeah I'm gonna I'll be doing a video on aan Jones in the coming days I think yeah tomorrow you'll definitely see a grant deos video maybe a Jo esri video as well you'll see that either in the next day or two and then you'll see Nan Jones the the day after that getting a film breakdown I haven't watched any film on Nan Jones yet so I don't really have the full the full scope of how I feel about him yet but it looks uh promising yeah this is just this is the way the offens line like this is how they feel about the offens line this is how it's been since Alex Gibbs with since Mike Shanahan since his son all and all of those like if you look at all the Kyle Shanahan tree all those teams are very good and they all put very similar priority on the offensive line uh the Rams kind of do it too the Dolphins and the Niners are the biggest examples I do agree we should put a little more emphasis on the interior line but I understand why they don't uh and it has worked those teams have been successful they've won games with not the best offensive line group yeah we've had similar builds to the ners but and people will be like well the Niners didn't win the Super Bowl I'm like bro they were very they they go to the Super Bowl nearly every year and they were very close to winning that they barely lost last year it's like uh you can definitely win with this system if we stay healthy with not the greatest o line but I still would have added one more guy though I also like EST coming out uh we'll see how he's looks when I watched his film how you feel about Fuller Kendall I like Kendall Fuller I think Kendall Fuller is one of our better signings I feel very confident with him as a player I think he's an upgrade compared to Howard last year I feel like he's been very good I think Fuller Fuller is very interesting too because Fuller when he first came to the league his first few years he was what like the best Nickel in the league and then he just transitioned outside and has been a very good outside corner and like never like has not played nickel like at all either so it's actually crazy like his like going from nickel to outside not really having a fall off uh definitely got to show respect to that and I think he's a good scheme fit I feel very if he stays healthy I feel we have a very strong top two corners I feel good about like kou in the slot bouncing back he looks better and then I feel like we got a lot of depth after that in a lot of pieces they're like I think at least one of these guys is going to step up I think either an Ethan boner or a Saran Neil or a cam Smith or a storm duck you know we just got Isaiah Johnson back I think someone's going to step up and be like a fourth guy and you have Nick need him on the prce squ I feel very good about the DB room R can you imagine how the def drafted Grand Bar and Patrick Paul yeah well that would have been that would have been too much focus on the o line group in my opinion but yeah I would have liked Grand I'm a big Grand Bar fan but I think Mahogany's on IR that's how his injury serious was but I would have liked mahogany L it would been nice how would you rank 49ers if playing in the AFC pretty highly uh like probably right behind the Chiefs like at the top they're one of the best teams they're top three team in the NFL uh you're a k guy yeah I mean Co is very good his rookie season definitely struggled last season but I think a lot of that struggle was playing out of position and the scheme so and he's looked he had a really strong training camp in the new system and he looked pretty good in the preseason and the snaps he played so I think kou if he sticks strictly stricks sticks strictly to the nickel I think kou will be a a solid nickel option yeah uh good point by Mark listen to what Travis Wingfield has to say I agree with everything he has to say about the offensive line and how they build it uh is pretty much what I'm been trying to say like uh at least uh very similarly at least that's how they think yeah I'm a big I like storm duck I'm excited I'm glad that they kept him I'm excited to see how he develops don't think yeah so just the Isaiah Johnson is definitely definitely happy to for him to back I say top teams Chiefs Ravens Lions Dolphins 49 those are definitely those are probably the top rosters in the league Philly is up there as well yeah yeah I feel I think boner showed enough in his limited reps last year that he can fill in like he looked pretty good in his like even in the playoff game like he came in and looked comfortable I think boner can be like a corner four for us I also think cam Smith is gonna get his his shot I think puer and Brooks will have a way I agree on Brooks I think Brooks will be one of the biggest I think Brooks will be the biggest impact on the defense outside of Ramsey po I do think I think we'll be solid but I don't I don't know if I think he'll have like a crazy huge impact like playing wise um you think Bell is set on the roster Quinn Bell yeah I think they like him a lot um I don't know I don't think he's like I think he's a guy that will probably he'll see early playing time on the team but I think he has to earn it to keep it you know what I'm saying like I don't think he's earned anything yet though yeah we got a lot of UD and we have Isaiah Johnson
